This is a guided Punta Cana Jeep tour but you’re in the driver’s seat.

And where are you driving to? Glad you asked…

A rural countryside… You’ll visit local towns and see how many Dominicans live in their rural environment. Going off-road, you’ll travel through sugar cane and rice fields where we’ll stop to learn the process of making and harvesting cacao (chocolate), coffee, vanilla, cinnamon, and cigars. You can even take some home as a souvenir!

On to the mountains… Taking a combination of dirt and partially paved roads, you’ll journey deep into the rural countryside where you’re sure to see livestock, fisherman, and plenty of locals just enjoying their daily lives. We culminate in the foothills of the Cordillera Oriental Mountain Range with green foliage and palm trees as far as the eye can see. 

Lunch at the ranch… We’ll also stop along the way at a scenic local ranch where you can ride horses, do a little zip line and of course have lunch! A typical Dominican spread of rice, beans, meat, salad and fresh juices.

Put her in park at the beach… Finally, you’ll end up at the renowned Macao Beach in northern Punta Cana. Here, you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the ocean and some simple Caribbean beach time.

Awesome Time! If you only have to do one tour while in Punta Cana, this would be the only tour you’ll need. My husband and I absolutely LOVED the 4×4 Jeep Safari. It was an incredible, fun day and we enjoyed every second of it. Don’t hesitate on this one. It far exceeded our expectations. The guides are amazing people and made it so much fun. There was more education than expected when we visited Cristian’s home and it was really interesting learning about local plants and fruits and learning and tasting the steps of coffee and chocolate making. The horseback riding and ziplining were amazing, safe and were for all age/fitness levels. You don’t have to climb any rickety trees or cliffs, as there are stairs! They took photos the whole time and posted them to their facebook page and we can download them for free. That was an unexpected surprise that we REALLY appreciated. Lunch on the beach was wonderful. There was more road driving than we expected, but the roads are not very busy and it was easy. I would not normally be comfortable driving in a developing nation, but it was easy and the group stays together. It was worth every penny and I would recommend this tour to anyone. I loved that they keep it as a smaller group. We had 13 people total….our group consisted of teenagers to grandparents and everyone had a blast!

We went on an all day Jeep Safari that we booked before we arrived to Punta Cana. There were 4 of us and they came directly to our hotel and picked us up in the Jeep we would be driving all day. This experience was the best experience by far on our trip to the Dominican Republic. Our first time out of the country and exploring another culture. The trip was an all day excursion which brought us through a typical day in the life of a Dominican. They shared with us how important it is for them to start off with some herbal tea and good breakfast that comes straight from their own cattle and crops. We got to taste some tea, cocoa and coffee fresh from the beans they grew. Then we were off driving through small towns to a horse ranch where we experienced not only horse back riding but zip lining over a river and banana trees. There we had a delicious pasta lunch. After lunch we were off to the cigar making. This was really neat to experience. I have never seen so many cigars before. We were greeted immediately by a man holding a box full of cigars in I think 7 or 8 different flavor to choose from. He lit them for us and we were off to the cigar factory. There were two workers there who rolled these cigars to perfection faster than you could blink. It was amazing! They had a large store to buy cigars from too. After that we went to the beach to have another meal. The beach was beautiful! It was very private and intimate. They served us fried chicken, white rice, bean sauce and platations. It was absolutely delicious. It was time to go home after that and I do have to say I didn’t want it to end. The staff was full of energy and educated us the whole time during the trip. We felt like family and that we belonged there. We know a whole lot more about the island and culture too. Nothing that we have done comes close to this experience. If you are thinking about visiting the island I highly suggest this excursion, you won’t regret it!

We learned so much by going on this tour and had a blast doing it.

We really enjoyed this excursion. It packs so many things into one day. First, we visited a local rancher, and got to see how coffee, coconut oil, and cocoa are produced. There is delicious samples to try. Next, we went to a place where you horseback ride for about 20 minutes and zip line. I’ve never zip lined before and loved it! They fed us what they called a snack (plate of spaghetti) and we headed for the cigar company. There you get to roll your own cigar to bring home. Last, we went to Macoa beach for a traditional meal and swimming. We packed all of this into 6-7 hours. It was a great way to experience the Dominican.

Our first destination is typical countryside house, with beautiful tropical garden. There you will see the interior of typical Dominican village house, and learn the process of harvesting and making cacao (main ingredient of chocolate), coffee, vanilla, cinnamon. Also, you will learn authentic process of making off mamajuana (or Mama Juana) traditional Dominican drink also called 100% natural “Dominican viagra”. Mama Juana is a drink with long history, specific for Dominican Republic, made of rum, red wine, honey and mixed with lot of herbs, leaves, sticks and roots of various plants. You can even take some home as a souvenir for friends, or just to enjoy yourself.

The zipline, as you can imagine, is awesome, exhilarating and breathtaking. The guides are friendly, relaxed in everything that they do and make you feel secure while having a great time. Start our Tour by driving your own jeep along the coast road from Punta Cana to Miches, in the northeast of the island.

The first stop will be in a sugarcane plantation where you can see how most Haitians survive with this hard and exhausting work.

After varied tours in the rural areas of the countryside where the line of highest hills begins, enjoy the incredible experience of horse riding in the great surroundings of this island.

Ride your own horse through the beautiful scenic landscape in the Tropical countryside.

Don’t worry if you’ve never ridden before. You will not be the only one and the tour is designed for beginners, children and all levels of experience. (Young children can ride with their parents or with our guides)

Horses are well behaved and know the trail very well. Whether you are a professional rider or riding for the very first time, these horses and their trainers will make you so comfortable!

Also good to know - zipline is super safe, tested regularly for much bigger weights; and adrenaline pump is great, just the right amount to make everyone smile! Definitely wonderful outdoor experience.

Let's not forget visit to typical Dominican house and learning a lot of interesting facts about producing cacao, coffee, cocoa, cinnamon, mamajuana and other different products and plants, enjoying dominican lunch on the beach, visiting cigar factory and finishing the day on Macao beach.

Fantastic tour!

Frankly, I did not know what to expect on this tour, but once the jeep came to our hotel, the best excursion ever started. The right refreshment after all "water" tours. I mean, you're in the DR, the beautiful beaches and the enjoyment of the sand is implied. So do not miss to see the authentic Dominican Republic, genuinely grounded people, the kindness and warmth of the locals. Try the real amazing Mamajuana, not the hotel's one which is very, very bad. Try pure chocolate which is made only from organic, in front your eyes minced cacao beans with organic brown sugar. Only that two ingredients, and it is oh my God, the most delicious chocolate ever!

You will ride a horse uphill and downhill, through streams and forests, and you will be thrilled! And after that you are going zip-lining. I was so scared, it was my first time to do that, but it was a bit like "frightened pleasure", if that kind of feeling exists. During the zip line, my shoes slipped away from my feet and dropped somewhere, so the fine man went to look for them in the jungle. And he found them. :)

At the end we had real traditional lunch on Playa Macao, which is beautiful and wild and there are big waves, but after zip-lining it was a peace of cake. The whole team that led the group is fantastic. From the guide, through the photographers, everything worked perfectly, I am absolutely delighted. I recommend everyone to book this excursion through JUST SAFARI and enjoy all the senses in this gastronomic-historical-cultural-adventurous tour in beautiful Dominican Republic. Peace!

Absolutely Awesome Adventure for Family

These guys are the best. Lots of variety. No rush. Super events that really fit the girls 10 and 12 as well as adults. Guides were fantastic and the various stops were high quality.

Family loved the horseback riding, mom loved the beach and dad left with some great handmade cigars. Zip line was good but much more interesting when the guide went and pick fresh bananas to ride with ;-)

Food is good but would be better with seafood over chicken. Just personal choice. This is far better than any hotel tour. Left hotel at 9:00 and returned at 5:00. Awesome day!

Best excursion ever

What a wonderful day exploring and learning some history of the Dominican culture. Our guides Michael and Voislav were very informative and fun! We went to a local farm owned by a man named Christian, where we learned about the process of making coffee and chocolate, with tastings; very interesting.

Then horseback riding, and zipline through the forest, as well as a traditional Dominican snack. Then off to Ranch real cigars to watch and make our own cigars. After that it's a short drive to Macao beach for a swim and traditional lunch before heading back to the resort. It's a full day of fun and information. Highly recommend!!

Just Safari Jeep Tour

We just returned from our vacation in Punta Cana and made the Just Safari Jeep Tour part of our experience. It was an amazing excursion that included zip lines, horseback riding, visiting a cigar factory, experiencing beautiful Macao beach and what we enjoyed most was the home of Christian who educated us on Dominican culture and how he cultivates his land. Fantastic excursion. A ton of fun!

Just Safari is an amazing day off the resort. Our pickup was on time and we requested a Jeep for just the two of us. Very exciting driving thru the small towns and offroad aswell. My favourite part was visiting Christian home and property. Was full of excitement throughout the day.

You are well fed with snacks and a meal on Macao Beach which is all delicious. The staff and guides are all great. Very knowledgeable, safe, fun and come with a photographer to take pictures which are posted to Facebook afterwards! Top notch stuff all around. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!
