RABBIES A GREAT CHOICE FOR IRELAND TOUR
Just recently returned from Ireland where my wife and I booked a 5 day West cost tour with RABBIES. Not dissapointed!! We had a great time from the moment of pick up to drop off at the end. This tour is 16 people max and a mix of young and old. Exactly what we wanted. Small comfortable bus with a great driver and tour guide John. He kept us informed with his exceptional knowlege of Ireland ,great sense of humor and Irish music every day. We opted for the B&B's but could have chosen hotels. And were not dissapointed. Great accommodations, food and nightly entertainment in Gaulway ,and Kilkenny. John was always accommodating and He is extremely knowledgeable about the places on the tour which made the trip more informative and enjoyable. Our group was fantastic and always good to have a mix of people with no complaints. Our stops were frequent with beautiful scenery along the dingle tour and Ring of Kerry. The small bus is great because you don't follow the same tour route as the big busses so seemed less time demanding.. We were initial going to rent a car and tour the Island but our decision to go with RABBIES was the right choice. no driving pressures and you get to relax and enjoy the Island as it should be. We are not traditionally tour people but our decision to book RABBIES made our Ireland experiernce one to remember
Hi Scott, Thank you very much for your considered review, I'm so glad that you had such a great time in Ireland. It sounds as though John can take a lot of credit for enriching the experience with his knowledge, humour, music and general nature; it's lovely to hear that. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts. All the best, Aimee
Tis trip was great. The coach comfortable and the guide informative. We saw everything we wanted to see, the major sights such as the Giant's Causeway and other sights such as stopping at cliff faces and sea scapes along the way. The guide knew exactly where to stop and we had some fantastic sights. It was the perfect amount of time, it balanced out between the driving and activity and sightseeing.
Hi Ellie, We're so pleased that you enjoyed your time in Ireland with us and that the guide was able to show you the best sights and keep you entertained with stories while you travelled. Thanks so much for the recommendation. All the best, Aimee
I am so glad I found Rabbies for my tours of Ireland, Scotland & England. These 16 passenger buses could go places a large coach could not venture to visit. All 6 drivers were well informed & willing to share their knowledge.
John was an outstanding guide! Comfortable van, stops at all "the right" attractions for us and very good lodging (B&Bs).
Hi Jim, Short and sweet! We're so pleased that each element of the tour was such a success, thank you for the recommendation! All the best, Aimee
I recently completed the 3 day tour to Kinsale, Kilkenny and Wateford. Our guide was Diarmuid. We had a nice size group (only 8 total, including the guide). I have been on several Rabbie's tours now and continue to love what they offer. Basically I get to see so much of the country and don't have to do any of the driving to get there. Diarmuid did a great job of getting us to where we needed to be and was very punctual on pick up times, offering great suggestions on places to eat and things to do. I let them choose my accomodations and have never been disappointed. I am a solo traveler and have met some really lovely people on these tours. I highly recommend to anyone but especially those travelling alone that enjoy solo travel but still want a bit of interaction. I love Rabbie's because they take the work out of figuring out where to go but also allow you the time and freedom to do as you choose at each location.
Hi Elaine, I'm so glad that you enjoyed getting to sit back and relax as Diarmuid showed you around. It's definitely much easier having the itinerary planned out for you and we're glad that you enjoyed the balance of having group interaaction, with 'free time' at some of the destinations. We hope to see you again, All the best, Aimee
In reviewing our tour, I found a lack of excitment from me and my husband. Besides us and the guide there was one other person on our tour that was extremely quiet. I thought this would be nice as it would give us greater flexability in touring. Which it did, our guide Martina was extremely accomodative in visiting a restaurant that was off our trail and took us to see amazing coastal sites. However, our tour left us a little flat. The countryside was amazing, Galway was awesome. But, I think more history and story telling from our guide would have helped alot.
Hi there, Thank you for your comments, it looks as though this tour didn't quite reach our usual standards. As you will see from other reviews, our guides usually bring the tours to life with history and storytelling, so we're really sorry to hear that this was not your personal experience. Please do get in touch with us at [email protected] if you want to discuss this at all. Kind Regards, Aimee

5-Day Devon & Cornwall Small Group from London
This was the first multi-day tour I have taken. I have always been concerned about being locked in to an itinerary with a large group of strangers and the loss of liberty etc. I was happy with the way this tour turned out - smallish group, being left to tour stops on your own, and mostly interesting stops (I would replace Tavistock with something else in Devon - say Torquay perhaps - but I realize there are logistical constraints as well). I think Samuel did an excellent job - he was able to set a playful mood, articulate relevant historical information and keep things running smoothly. One suggestion: the bus should have wifi.
4-Day Isle of Skye & West Highlands Small-Group Tour from Edinburgh
Peter was great and had a lot of knowledge about the area.

3-Day Stonehenge, Glastonbury, Bath & the South West Coast Small-Group Tour from London
John was a very good host.Sam also was very good. We enjoyed the sites and agenda. We will use the tour company again.
2-Day Windsor, Stonehenge, Bath & Oxford Small-Group Tour from London
Thank you Rabbie's Tour and to our wonderful Scottish guide, who made my journey so lovely!
Discover Wales 5-Day Small-Group Tour from London
A super small group of 8 of us thoroughly enjoyed our time together in Wales, with 5 'oldies' and 3 young people who gelled well both with each other and with us 'oldies'. Graham (and Kate) were excellent guides, although I did wonder at times if there would have been more chat with us if Graham wasn't teaching Kate the details of the tour at the same time... It made it a bit difficult at times to break into their conversation with a question we may have had about a point of interest. Graham went out of his way to fulfil special requests where possible and his experience shone out. In the cool and rainy weather, accommodation with a night meal option would have been great at each hotel.
5-Day Highland Explorer: Skye & Far North Small-Group Tour from Edinburgh
Our guide Sinclair was so good! He was very knowledgeable in so many areas and I really enjoyed all the things he had to say! Really loved the small group tour! There were so many beautiful spots that we stopped at. Highly recommend!
6-Day Outer Hebrides & Skye Adventure Small-Group Tour from Edinburgh
Our Driver Michael from Radar was just Okay, too many off color stories, played music from his own playlist and so we weren't able to make requests. I requested more bagpipe or Scottish songs and he said his playlist didn't include bagpipe songs, he didn't care for them, and the too many of the Scottish songs he played were by the singer he adored. Heard too much about her. When we picked up an additional 4 passengers on the second day he forgot to do introductions. He pointed out too many houses he'd like to live in, which isn't interesting to us. He should add more history of Scotland to his commentary instead of his stories, which had nothing to do with our tour, too many comments about the singer he adores. Michael added a 2.5 hour visit to a weaver, which I wasn't able to participate in due to my asthma, so that was a waste of 2.5 hours. If he wanted to visit the weaver, he should have dropped off those who were interested and offered to visit something else with the rest. As far as the tour goes, too many beaches, stopped at 3 because Michael like beaches, not enough castles, old churches/cathedrals/ waterfalls, historical sites. When we arrived in Stornoway on Sunday, most of the stores and restaurants were closed. Perhaps arrange a box dinner. When we stayed at the same hotel or B&B for 2 nights, we discoved the first night dinners needed to be booked earlier or you ended up with no dinner or picked up something like cheese and crackers at the grocery store. Perhaps offer to make reservations for the first night from a list of possible restaurants. Need to add maps of the area of the tour for us to use as a reference and souvenir and a whiteboard for the driver to add notes, and times to be back when we stopped. Without maps we had no reference points as to where we were. Also a list of the major stops, not the coffee/toilet stops, so we can know what is planned. My primary reason for the trip was that I wanted to see the Dunvegan Castle as it is my ancestrial home and didn't see it until the 5th day, which by then I figured I wouldn't get to visit it. When we talked about what we wanted to see/the reason for our trip during our introductions, Michael should have pointed out if or when we would get to visit that mentioned places, so we weren't left to wonder if it would happen.
4-Day Outlander Trail Small-Group Tour from Edinburgh Including Admissions
Our tour driver was fantastic! Frazier had a way about him that made the history, fork lore and stories come to life. He made the trip very pleasant. This is saying a lot. Our four day venture included an unusual amount of rain. That area had more rain in 24 hours than a usual month. After being out in the cold and wet countryside, our hotel had no water. We had to repack, haul our luggage back down the stairs, get in a cab, and check into another hotel at 8:00 at night. No elevator ... had to haul my heavy ass luggage up three flights of stairs .... again. I am a 70 year old woman. After all of that, we found out that my friend and I paid almost $300 more than the others on the tour. We bought our tickets through Tour Radar. The others got their tickets from Rabbie's.
3-Day Orkney Explorer Small-Group Small-Group Tour from Inverness
This tour surpassed our expectations-Stewart made it so wonderful! He has so much knowledge about Orkney and Scotland, and such a fantastic sense of humor! We miss him! You have a real keeper!!
3-Day Lake District Explorer Small-Group Tour from Manchester
We highly recommend Rabbie’s Tours. Our guide/driver Nick, was very knowledgeable and he made sure that each one of us was comfortable throughout the trip. The accommodation was good and the group was lovely, too. The pace of the tour was great. We will take another Rabbie’s tour for sure.
5-Day Iona, Mull & the Isle of Skye Small-Group Tour from Edinburgh
We enjoyed he tour a lot more than we expects. Our tour guide (Chris Rockport) made the trip extra fun and he was very Knowable. Scotland is a beautiful country and everything was very clean. We also enjoyed all the hotels we stayed. Service was great.
4-Day Islay & the Whisky Coast Small-Group Tour from Edinburgh Including Admissions
My wife and I completely enjoyed the 4-Day Islay and the Whisky Coast Small Group Tour.
3-Day The North Coast 500 Small-Group Tour from Inverness
This was our third tour while in edinburgh and Helen was by far the best guide ever. She was attentive to everyone, always patient and helpful and seemed to love sharing her love of scotland. Awesome experience.
3-Day Isle of Wight and the Southern Coast Small-Group Tour from London
It is a beautiful experience
3-Day Speyside Whisky Trail Small-Group Tour from Edinburgh
The tour was great! Andy was a great tour guide during the 3 days. Loved the accommodation in Grantown-On-Spey. One suggestion I would make: would it be possible to have one of the evenings where people have the option of getting together for dinner? I did another tour after this one, and there was one evening where we had the option to have dinner with everyone (tour guides included). I understand this may be more difficult with larger groups (our tour was only 4 of us, plus Andy); food for thought nonetheless.
Reviews of Rabbie's Tours Tours
We thoroughly enjoyed our Devon and Cornwall tour with Jack. Jack is extremely knowledgeable about the area, so engaging with a lot of humour and an excellent driver! We would love to join another tour on our next visit to the UK.
