Blink-182 Reunite With Tom DeLonge for Massive World Tour and New Music

Mark Hoppus lied. Back in August, after Tom DeLonge shared a photograph of his former Blink-182 bandmates, tagging both Hoppus and Travis Barker , the bassist and singer took to social media to insist that the band wasn’t reuniting, much to the dismay of their fans. But the band announced today that not only is Blink-182 back with a massive world tour , but DeLonge will also return to the lineup for the first time in nearly a decade. And to top it off, they are releasing a new single, “Edging,” out Friday.
The band made the announcement in true Blink-182 fashion — with a raunchy, suggestive social media post that could give someone a very wrong impression if it were to be played too loud in public. “We’re coming. Tour’s coming. Album’s coming. Tom’s coming,” they wrote alongside a minute-long announcement visual.
The tour begins March 11 in Latin America with support from Wallows and spans through April 2. In May, the North American leg supported by Turnstile will begin in Minnesota. The band will make stops in Chicago, Montreal, Brooklyn, Hershey, San Diego, Austin, Atlanta, and more before wrapping in Nashville on July 16. The Story So Far will accompany Blink-182 on the European leg beginning Sept. 6 and concluding on Oct. 15. In February 2024, the band will head to Australia and New Zealand with Rise Against.
General sale begins Monday, Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. local time via the official Blink-182 website . Blink-182 will also headline Lollapalooza 2023 alongside Billie Eilish and Drake in addition to the 2023 edition of We Were Young Festival alongside Green Day and more.

Blink-182 reunion tour to feature Travis Barker, Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus
Blink-182’s members Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker are reuniting for their first tour together in nearly 10 years.
On Twitter, the band announced that they were coming to their fan’s hometowns when they shared a video of people getting excited about their upcoming tour.
Blink-182 also announced that they’re coming out with a new song called “Edging,” which is set to be released on Friday.
Their new tune marks the first time in a decade that Barker, Hoppus and DeLonge have been in the studio together.
According to a press release, Blink-182 will be making stops in Latin America, North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand starting March 2023 through February 2024, and they’ll be joined by other bands, such as Turnstile, Rise Against, The Story So Far and Wallows.
This tour is a special moment for the band as it’s a homecoming for DeLonge, who parted ways with Blink-182 in 2015.
According to Rolling Stone , DeLonge said he wanted to go to “change the world for my kids and everybody else’s.” Since then, he’s been performing with his other band, Angels & Airwaves, while Blink-182 replaced him with Matt Skiba, the frontman of the rock band Alkaline Trio.
In the meantime, Barker has been making music with other musicians such as Machine Gun Kelly and Avril Lavigne, and Hoppus has been writing a book about his experience with cancer.
But even though DeLonge wasn’t in Blink-182 for the band’s two most recent albums: 2016’s “California” and 2019’s “NINE,” he still says that he has no hard feelings about his departure.
In fact, in 2019, he told Rolling Stone that he thinks there will “absolutely” be a time when they play together again.
“We all love each other and care about each other,” he said. “We don’t always see eye to eye. I think people see the differences in our art. I love seeing how they’ve evolved and what they’re doing. I think when people look at Angels and Airwaves and what I’m doing, they can tell the differences. And sometimes it’s hard when you’re all trying to paint the same painting. And every once in a while, I like to see what the painting will be if I do it a different way. Off to the side. I think there’s a healthy respect for everyone to be able to paint their own paintings.”
Blink-182 reuniting for massive 2023 world tour, new song coming Friday
The group also has a new single coming Oct. 14.
After wiping their website and Instagram clean yesterday, seemingly in preparation for some big news, Blink-182 has come through with a major announcement: Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker are reuniting for a massive 2023 world tour.
The trio have also made some new music: Their new song, "Edging," will be out this Friday.
The band made the announcement in a very on-brand double entendre-filled video .

The tour starts in Latin America in March 2023 with the band Wallows as the opening act. North American tour dates start May 4 in St. Paul, Minnesota, with the band Turnstile opening.
That leg of the tour wraps up July 16 in Nashville, Tennessee. The band will then head to Europe in September with The Story So Far as openers, and Australia/New Zealand in 2024 with Rise Against on the bill.
The tour also includes an Oct. 12, 2023 appearance at the When We Were Young festival, and appearances at Lollapalooza Argentina, Lollapalooza Chile and Lollapalooza Brazil.
Tickets go on sale Monday, Oct. 17, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time at blink182.com.
The band's return to the stage is significant, considering its members have been dealing with a lot in their personal lives: Bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus has been continuing to recover from his 2021 cancer battle, while drummer Travis Barker was hospitalized earlier this year with pancreatitis.

Blink-182 Reunite With Tom DeLonge, Announce 2023 Tour
By Evan Minsker and Jazz Monroe
Blink-182 have reunited with founding member Tom DeLonge and announced a 2023 tour. The classic lineup of DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker will also release a comeback single called “Edging” on Friday (October 14). Check out the tour dates, which include North American shows with support from Turnstile, at the bottom of the page, and watch the characteristically juvenile announcement video below. The band will release a new album next year, according to a press release.
DeLonge started Blink-182 with Mark Hoppus in 1992. Their debut album, Cheshire Cat , arrived in 1995, followed by the “Dammit”-featuring album Dude Ranch in 1997. After original drummer Scott Raynor was dismissed from the band in 1998, Travis Barker came aboard in time to record the band’s multi-platinum 1999 album Enema of the State , which featured the hit singles “What’s My Age Again?” and “All the Small Things.”
Their first No. 1 album in the United States followed, 2001’s Take Off Your Pants and Jacket . In 2002, DeLonge and Barker released a side project as a duo, a self-titled Box Car Racer album. The following year, Blink-182 released a self-titled album before announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2005.
DeLonge focused on his band Angels & Airwaves, which released their debut album in 2006, while Barker became a prolific session drummer, particularly in the worlds of pop-punk and hip-hop. In 2008, Barker was involved in a plane crash that led to the trio returning for a reunion tour in 2009. In 2011, Blink-182 released Neighborhoods and they continued to tour in the early 2010s before DeLonge departed the band in early 2015.
Hoppus and Barker discussed DeLonge’s departure in an interview with Rolling Stone at the time, saying that after the band signed a recording contract and booked a studio for album sessions, Hoppus and Barker received emails from DeLonge’s management announcing that he was leaving the band. “To be honest, I wasn’t that surprised because his attitude leading up to that had been not excited and not interested,” Hoppus said. Barker called DeLonge “disrespectful and ungrateful” to have his manager break the news and not call them himself. “Why Blink even got back together in the first place is questionable,” Barker said.
Following DeLonge’s departure, Blink-182 hired Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba. They released two albums under that lineup: 2016’s California and 2019’s Nine . The band toured consistently in the late 2010s, too, and was booked to perform at the famously doomed Fyre Festival.
During his time away from the group, DeLonge has continued recording with Angels & Airwaves. He has notably committed much of his time to the study of aliens, UFOs, and conspiracy theories. He founded the company To the Stars Academy of Arts & Sciences in 2015 and was the executive producer behind the History Channel series Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation . In 2020, the Pentagon declassified UFO videos that DeLonge’s company had previously shared.
In the recent past, Barker has become something of an omnipresent cultural and tabloid figure. He has collaborated with Post Malone, Machine Gun Kelly, Willow, and XXXTentacion, to name a few. In May 2022, he married Kourtney Kardashian.
Since 2019, Hoppus has been hosting the Apple Music 1 radio show After School Radio . In 2021, he revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer; later that year, he said he was cancer free . In an August 2022 interview with People , Hoppus revealed that DeLonge and Barker visited him before he started chemotherapy. “It was the first time that all three of us were in the same room in, like, five years,” Hoppus said. “It’s actually better than it used to be. There was no agenda. There were no lingering grudges. It felt very back to what it should be: three friends sitting in a room.… Everybody’s in a really great place right now.”

Blink-182 Has Reunited (Again)
Tom DeLonge is back, baby.
Blink-182 announced its reunion in a bizarre YouTube video titled, "WE ARE COMING! to a city near you!" that featured parody drug commercial testimonials about fans excited to "see the band come." The innuendo is not lost. "If they come, I'm going to explode," one person says. "With Delonge back after nearly a decade, fans can expect that electric on-stage magic that the trio has delivered over the years," a press release from the band read. "With their new album due in 2023, ‘blink-182’ is stoked to be facing their future together."
The band has gone through quite a lot in the last decade. After Tom DeLonge quit to pursue his search for UFOs, he was replaced by Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba for nearly five years and two studio albums. DeLonge later retracted that he quit indefinitely and joked in an interview with Esquire that everyone must have thought he " lost his mind" and "quit his band to chase aliens." In a way, he did do that, but not everyone who straps on the tin foil hat actually gets name-dropped by the Pentagon. Throughout 2019 and 2020, The U.S. Department of Defense declassified three videos about UFOs brought to light by DeLonge's work. "They mentioned my name and stuff,” he said back in 2021. "Like: it is crazy.”
In the meantime, Travis Barker collaborated with popular artists such as Post Malone, Machine Gun Kelly, Trippie Redd, and Willow. After Hoppus was diagnosed with cancer in June 2021, the trio met, opened up about personal issues, and made up. "I was really, feverishly wanting to show Mark some of these things that I've learned and I know," DeLonge told Esquire at the time. He described a healer he learned about who cured lab mice of terminal cancer through Native American rain dances and visualizations of love. Hoppus was declared cancer-free later that year, and rumors speculated that a happy Blink-182 meant potentially happy Blink-182 fans in the near future. Now, they're ready to embark on a massive tour. I'll be there dressed in the worst 90s fashion imaginable, channeling a Southern California pop-punk accent to "na-na-na-na" until they have to turn the lights off and carry me home.

Blink-182 Australian Tour Setlist Revealed
The live debuts, classics, and more - Australian blink-182 fans will be served on this tour.
blink-182 (Credit: Jack Bridgland)
It’s an exciting day for blink-182 fans, as the beloved American pop-punk trio have played their first show of their Australian tour at Perth’s RAC Arena and still have 14 more concerts to go.
The first of 15 shows was a raging success, with The Music reviewer Michael Hollick declaring, “blink-182’s performance was a time capsule, providing both longtime and newer fans a chance to relive the days when baggy jeans, chains, and dyed spikes were the epitome of cool. The band may have grown older, but their music remains forever young.”
You can read the review here .
Blink-182 were joined by special guests Rise Against , who riled up the crowd with their political punk rock tunes, playing classics including Prayer Of The Refugee, Savior and Swing Life Away .
If you’re up to this point reading this article and decide that spoilers aren’t for you after all, look away, as we’re about to get into blink-182’s Perth setlist .
When singer and bassist Mark Hoppus arrived in Perth a few days ago, he teased , “We got new songs that we are playing for the first time in Perth. The first live performances of these songs will be in your city and a lot of bad words probably.” And he kept his promise.

The band played a massive 27-song setlist, which included seven tracks from their latest LP, One More Time… , with Australian fans being treated to the live debuts of Fuck Face, Turpentine and Anthem Pt 3 (the latter played in full for the first time). The remainder of their set was a balance of their hit albums, with the pop-punk trio playing five tracks each from their self-titled album, Enema Of The State and Take Off Your Pants And Jacket .
Only one song from the records Dude Ranch, California and Neighborhoods were performed, with two from The Mark, Tom, And Travis Show ( The Enema Strikes Back! ). You can find the complete setlist below.

Blink-182 Cancels Shows Due to Mark Hoppus’ “Severe Bronchitis”
- Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below
The post Blink-182 Cancels Shows Due to Mark Hoppus’ “Severe Bronchitis” appeared first on Consequence .
Blink-182 has canceled three shows on their 2024 tour due to Mark Hoppus coming down with severe bronchitis.
Currently on the road in support of their latest album, ONE MORE TIME… , Blink-182 was scheduled to play four nights at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City. However, after the first performance on April 2nd, the band canceled the second show due to Hoppus’ illness, hoping they could still perform the final two.
Sadly, though, Hoppus’ condition worsened, and the other two shows were canceled as well. A message Hoppus sent via Discord after the initial cancellation said, “We don’t take canceling lightly… We tried moving the date, tried every possible solution, but this is the reality. We appreciate your understanding and support.”
As for his health, Hoppus explained that he consulted with doctors in Mexico and “back home,” and was told that he had “an acute infection in my throat and severe bronchitis.” After the diagnosis, he “got on meds immediately” to try to heal up for the weekend shows, but to no avail. Now, all ticket holders for the canceled shows will be refunded.
Read statements from the shows’ promotor and Hoppus’ Discord messages below.
Up next, Hoppus will hopefully get a chance to heal up with a pre-scheduled break in their tour. The next leg kicks off on June 20th in Florida, after which the band will play shows through the end of August. Check out the full list of their upcoming dates , and grab tickets here .

Every Blink-182 album ranked from worst to best
From their OG goofy classics to the Matt Skiba era and the Second Coming of Tom DeLonge, we rate Blink's full career so far
Hey, have you heard this band Blink-182 ? You totally should, they’re great. It’s these three dudes and they’re somehow simultaneously 50 and 17, somehow simultaneously snotty kids and veteran rockstars, somehow the rock world’s richest and most successful goofy underdogs. They play pop-punk, except sometimes they don’t, and they’re really funny, expect sometimes they aren’t, and, well, yeah, there’s a lot going on.
More importantly, they're back! Well, they never fully went away, but for fans of a certain vintage, they're really back now; The Mark, Tom and Travis show once again, with Tom DeLonge, the group's very own prodigal son, back in the fold. A blockbuster world tour and very solid comeback album has followed since Tom's return, leaving Blink's future looking very rosy indeed. Here's the story so far, then, with all nine of Blink's studio albums ranked from the silliest to the sublime.
9. Cheshire Cat (1995)
Starting your career with your least impressive album is the best way round for things to go, especially if said album still contains full-on bangers. Carousel and M&Ms show the band’s burgeoning knack for hella catchy tunes, while the sweetly simple Wasting Time is probably the most romantic song to ever reference local nude automotive legislation. The whole thing has a charming 'will-this-do?' naiveté to it – there’s a song about enjoying watching television that is literally just about enjoying watching television – and an infectious youthful energy. Mark Hoppus was 23-years-old when he recorded this, Tom DeLonge 20, and original drummer Scott Raynor just 17, and it absolutely sounds like three guys having a good time and hoping this music thing pays off.

8. Neighborhoods (2011)
There’s a lot going on on Neighborhoods . It’s an ambitious record sonically, with everyone bringing a lot to the table from the eight years that had elapsed since their previous album together. There’s more experimentation than Blink tend to be given credit for, and some of Travis Barker's drumming seems to defy what we know about both physics and the amount of arms he has. But it’s also the sound of a band falling apart. A hiatus that wasn’t as amicable as it could have been, Barker’s plane crash and the other tragedies that surrounded it, DeLonge’s issues with painkiller addiction – the joie de vivre was gone. The album was recorded remotely, with the three band members barely being in the same room together, and that incredible chemistry that once somehow made the band more than the sum of its parts was just not there anymore. It’s a bleak record, the sound of three people not sure whether they belong together anymore. <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=38569&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.co.uk%2Fdp%2FB01KLSODEE%2Fref%3Dntt_mus_ep_dpi_6%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-21%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-21" data-link-merchant="Amazon UK"">Buy Neighborhoods
7. Nine (2019)
Nine , the second album of the Matt Skiba era, has a lot to like about it. Everyone involved has clearly put their all into it, bringing in umpteen influences and leaping happily from genre to genre. There are stadium-filling singalong anthems, flag-in-ground still-got-it moments of embracing a decade of musical developments, as well as, with Generational Divide , a pretty convincing argument that actually just fucking going for it for 49 seconds is best. But it’s also the Blink record involving the most outside writers, and arguably the one that sounds the least like, well, them . 6. One More Time (2023)
Come 2023, <a href="https://www.loudersound.com/features/every-limp-bizkit-album-ranked-from-worst-to-best" data-link-merchant="loudersound.com"">Limp Bizkit were officially cool again, Green Day were announcing anniversary tours and Korn were collaborating with ADIDAS. Perhaps, then, Blink can be forgiving for using Tom DeLonge's return as an excuse to leave most of their recent experimental dabblings behind and lean all the way in on warm, Millennial pop punk nostalgia.
Luckily, <a href="https://www.loudersound.com/reviews/blink-182-one-more-time-review" data-link-merchant="loudersound.com"" data-link-merchant="loudersound.com""> One More Time is far from a lazy cash-in, boasting some outstanding additions to Blink's catalogue. There's the bouncy anthemia of Dance With Me , a full-throttle rager in More Than You Know and the shamelessly cheesy but irrepressible title ballad. It's not all retreading old material, either: the shimmering 80s pomp of Blink Wave is a nice surprise, as is the Cure-homaging Fell In Love . Delonge's evident love of autotune is a distraction at times, but otherwise, this is was a welcome reunion, tactfully played.

5. California (2016)
When Tom DeLonge departed for what seemed like the final time in 2015, it was easy enough to assume that was the end of the road for Blink-182. But drafting in Matt Skiba was an inspired choice that in hindsight seems obvious – another tall, handsome, funny dude, one with a hell of a voice on him, bringing the same dark humour to the band that he’s always done with <a href="https://www.loudersound.com/features/every-alkaline-trio-album-ranked-from-worst-to-best" data-link-merchant="loudersound.com"">Alkaline Trio. Hoppus and Skiba’s voices work together perfectly, Skiba’s lyrical additions (it seems safe to say the mentions of Bauhaus' art career were his) work really well, and there’s a fine job done in general of presenting pop-punk's clown princes as more grown-up. Despite the return of joke songs, this isn’t the sound of a silly band about to run around naked – everyone’s in their 40s. It’s very much the sound of Established Extremely Successful Band Blink-182, with Hoppus sliding into his ‘beloved internet dad’ persona (one he embodies magnificently).

4. Dude Ranch (1997)
Every second of Dude Ranch makes you want to be in a band. Nothing has ever, ever sounded as much fun as being in Blink-182 in the late-ish '90s. The sheer joy coming out of Dude Ranch is unfakeable and utterly beautiful. They’re young enough that they’re still in high school bathrooms in music videos, surprising amounts of Tom DeLonge’s forearms are still visible and the pressures of touring are yet to get to them. Drummer Scott Raynor would be fired while promoting this record, making it the last one featuring the “organic” lineup. There are some moments that really haven’t dated well, understandably, but good god, the whole thing is just so much fun. Even if Blink had never made another record, Dammit would be a floor-filler to this day. <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=38569&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.co.uk%2Fdp%2FB000002P6G%2Fref%3Dntt_mus_ep_dpi_8%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-21%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-21" data-link-merchant="Amazon UK"">Buy Dude Ranch
3. Untitled (2005)
Ambition can be an odd thing in music – bands sometimes get tired of themselves quicker than their fans do, and while millions of people would have happily taken another Enema or TOYPAJ , the Untitled album features a band trying to grow up and be taken seriously. Hoppus, DeLonge and Barker were hitting thirty and leading different lives, and clearly increasingly uncomfortable with the idea of being 'the naked fart-jokes dudes' band. Despite tension caused by side projects, shifting priorities and fame, the three of them came together to smoke an enormous amount of weed and create something pretty amazing, presented without a title as the definitive version of Blink. Feeling This is both wistful and horny, I Miss You features Tom DeLonge’s ever-evolving accent at its best and Alway s is power-pop perfection.

2. Take Off Your Pants And Jacket (2001)
There has never, ever been a better title for an album than this. Never. Angrier than its predecessors and featuring a newly-befringed DeLonge in all-black-clad band on the back cover, it went darker and more introspective than Enema... on songs like Stay Together For The Kids and Shut Up , but managed to have its cake and eat it with the wafer-thin but impossible-to-dislike The Rock Show and First Date . It also features Happy Holidays, You Bastard , a one-joke song that, again, is still incredibly funny, and a rogues’ gallery of hilariously obscene hidden tracks about dogs, mothers and grandpas. What more could anyone want from a pop-punk album circa 2001?

1. Enema Of The State (1999)
It was always going to be Enema Of The State at number one, wasn’t it? Like Alan Partridge's Best Of The Beatles . Predictable, sure, but inarguable. This was the first a lot of the world saw of Blink-182, and what an intro – three naked dudes with charisma to burn (including supernaturally talented new recruit Travis Barker) somehow managing to present an album that plays like a greatest-hits collection, banger after banger after banger of pop-punk at its most fun, full of angst and mischief. There are the three big singles, of course - What's My Age Again? , All The Small Things and Adam's Song - all of which hold up magnificently, but there’s also the unapologetically romantic Going Away To College , the gleefully strange Aliens Exist , the knackering The Party Song , and the weird one about diarrhoea. File alongside Dookie and Smash for when Tom DeLonge's beloved ETs come asking questions about pop-punk.
