What Officers Increase Cargo Size in Star Trek: Fleet Command
In this alternate reality, all Star Trek officers and captains occupy the same time and space. This means players can pick and choose, mix and match, to form the perfect crew. There are three factions- Romulan, Klingon, and Federation- consisting of 26 crews, and many officers within those crews. Each officer has particular strengths, abilities, and rarity, and can act as captain or as officer. Some officers can increase defence, while others boost XP earned while playing, it all depends on what their role is. Increasing Cargo Size in Star Trek: Fleet Command
As explained above, officer groups have different strengths, and can add a particular strength to your crew. The officers in the Surveyors & Miners group all bring a positive mining aspect to the crew. There is one officer who can increase the cargo size in a ship and that is Officer Stonn. As captain, Stonn increases the mining rate of Ore by 20%, but when assigned to the bridge as an officer, they increase cargo size by 20%. Check out the whole Surveyors & Miners group below:
Remember that your cargo is at risk of being lost in battle if you do not protect it using ‘Protected Cargo’ officers too. Good luck!

- You can activate the consumable from your inventory
- Consumables have an expiration time (displayed before and after activation)
- Active Consumables take up a slot
- There is a limited number of available slots
- When the expiration time is reached the Consumable is consumed

Reaching Level 26 in Star Trek Fleet Command means a few things. First, you can start building your first Faction Ships, but secondly, you can construct the ECS Horizon.
Getting Your Horizon
For your first Horizon, you’ll need a level 26 shipyard , and you’ll need to complete the Unlock Horizon research. For each additional Horizon, you’ll need 40 blueprints that you’ll get by attacking level 31+ faction hostiles and Klingon Separatist bosses.
After a while, however, you’ll be swimming in these blueprints.

What It’s Good At
Compared to all the previous miners in the game, the Horizon is better than all of them, at just about everything. I’m not saying you should rush out and scrap all your other miners (not right away anyway,) but once you’ve leveled your Horizon up enough, it will be your go-to miner.
Your North Star might (emphasis on might) be able to get a faster mining rate for a short period of time, but it’s got such a small cargo (and even smaller protected cargo) that you’re going to be constantly unloading the thing. And it may take a while before your Horizon is as strong in combat as your North Star , but in terms of mining, it’s a better ship, hands down.
The Ship Ability of Dilithium Miner is only really useful for a couple of missions. For the most part, you shouldn’t be spending a lot of time mining dilithium.
It will serve you pretty well for a long while, at least until you’ve got three faction miners.

The Horizon will Change the Way You Play
The better mining laser and increased protected cargo will make it possible for you to put out your Horizon at night, especially if you’ve got T’Pring , Joaquin, and Ten of Ten on board, and wake up with your mining dailies done for the day. This will free up your ships to do more interesting things during your waking hours.
The massive upgrade in cargo capacity will also make it possible for you to make base-raiding really worth your while.
As with most miners, the ECS Horizon eats crystal. It’s not as ravenous as it’s bigger faction cousins, the Antares, the K’Vort, and the Valkis , but it’s still something.
It’s also going to cost you a great deal of tritanium, but… if you use this ship as the base raider it was born to be, it’ll pay for itself.
I wouldn’t recommend maxing a Horizon, as if you’re advancing with any speed, you’re going to have a faction miner before you have the chance.

ECS stands for “Earth Cargo Service.”

A few updates are coming to the world of Star Trek Fleet Command. Read below to stay up-to-date on what’s new.
What’s in this update:
Territory Capture Season 3
Infinite incursions.
- New Isolytic Damage Primes – Coming Soon!
- Warchests Reward Adjustments
Season 3 of Territory Capture is upon us and kicks off on April 23rd! Along with a wipe of all currently owned territory, various changes are coming this season based on your feedback, so be sure to check out the information below and the official IGN for additional details.
Season Start Date: April 23rd
Note: There will be a 1hr maintenance period on April 23rd at 1am PT for the various changes being made to Territory Capture .
Territory Capture Season 3 Services:
Improved Nodes and Services
- Parsteel, Tritanium, and Dilithium have been changed to Materials (G3 in T1, G4 in T2)
- Monaveen BPs and Chronometric Particles can now be found in All T3 Territories
Boosted Particle Output
- Boost to All Particle Generators (2x)

New Primes – Coming Soon
- Prime Battleship Isolytic Damage
- Prime Interceptor Isolytic Damage
- Prime Explorer Isolytic Damage
While these primes have not been released yet, they can be viewed in the Combat Research Tree and stfc.space . These new primes will increase Isolytic Damage by 15% for each ship type.
War Room Events
Based on player feedback, we are increasing the payouts of the Warchests, in Materials, Resources, Ship Parts, Emblems of Honor, and Seals of Kotal, as illustrated in the charts below.
Players can also expect to see an The Way of the Warrior – SLB (a War Room Upgrade Event) on the schedule from April 23 – April 26 to coincide with these changes.
Additionally, all players Operations 20+ will be given 10 Warchest Keys due to the changes in the Warchests payouts.

Synergy can help that sort of thing but you won't have synergy for Ghrush until you get Mavery. T'pring, Dupont, Joaquin, 1 of 11, 3 of 11 all increase max pc. Joaquin has it as captain ability. Ghrush (captain), One of Eleven and T'Pring are the officers which will expand your Protected Cargo.
In most servers, unprotected cargo is fair game, and going OP, or "over-protected" cargo leaves your ship vulnerable to attack. You can increase this by upgrading the cargo bay on your survey ship, or by tiering up your ship - and by using your officers. Three officers in the game provide you with cargo protection bonuses.
Isogen Mining - Elea Makinen increases the rate of Isogen Mining by 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100%. Surveyors & Miners. Uncommon. Raphael DuPont. Grade 3 Miner - Raphael DuPont increases the rate of G3 Crystal, Gas and Ore Mining by 40%. Adds to the Ships Protected Cargo by 50, 100, 150, 200 or 300%.
Is each increase/decrease calculated from the ship's base Protected Cargo, or is it calculated from the ship's current Protected Cargo amount when adding/removing an Officer? For example, if I have Fess reducing my Protected Cargo by 35%, but T'Pring is increasing it by 50%, does it get increased by 15%?

That would make things easier. To see what your ship's protected cargo storage is: select the ship; click on Manage; on the right panel click on the Details tab; scroll to the bottom of the stats list. It shows your cargo capacity and protected cargo values. I don't know exactly what happens in combat.

Depends upon the quality of your officers. Joaquin/T'Pring/3 of 11 is strong. However Quark/T'Pring/3 of 11 is strictly superior once you hit T4 Quark.
