Hi Scubaandy

Voyage is much like the other 5 star hotels in respect of dresscode

Signs are up at main buffet entrance requesting long trousers but this is rarely enforced

My husband tends to wear smart tailored chino type shorts with collared shirts and long trousers for the a la carte restaurants

Beachwear is a no no in restaurants

When do you go,? in July and August even with air conditioning long trousers can be uncomfortable

Hi willsySurrey, thank you very much for your reply. We have been to VB twice before, and wondered if the Dress Code had been relaxed. My husband tends to follow the same dress as your husband, as you do have to show respect for the rules. Thanks again scubaandy

' class=

We are there in June, I emailed the hotel and they suggested smart shorts and a shirt was fine, but with a line NO SLIPPERS, is that flip flops?

voyage belek dress code

Yes no flip flops

' class=

does it have a dress code for all the resturants

On both our visits which were in August, my husband wore smart shorts and shirt for all restaurants including the a la carte restaurants.

It's our first visit to Voyage fly out 6th Aug, my hubby tends to wear smart shorts and top/shirt also but 'loves' his flip flops. They are smart ones not beach ones, would this be allowed? What is acceptable? (Canvas pump possibly?)

Can't believe it's only 4 weeks away,we have a 7 and 4 year old and are all very excited.

I am at the VB at the moment and no issues with smart shorts and plimsols. No seen anypne attempting to wear beach shorts but can't see that would be acceptable.

I have just come back from this hotel. To my knowledge there are no dress codes in the buffet or a la carte. Men wore shorts or long trousers in all restaurants.

Thankyou for your reply, much appreciated. Could I also ask if robes are supplied in all rooms or only the upgraded suites and are the supplied hairdryers the slow wall mounted type? Just wondering whether we should take our own along.

Many thanks

I was in a large family room and robes were not supplied. Only wall mounted hair dryer was available in the bathroom.

Thankyou once again. One final question, did you have problems getting sunbeds or booking into the a la carte restaurants. We fly out next week and are a a group of 3 families, 13 in total. Wondering if we are likely to get sunbeds easily or sit together in the evenings. Not that we are expecting to eat together every evening as I feel the children who are all teenagers will perhaps try to avoid eating with the parents if at all possible.

As your party is large you will need to book your a la carte restaurants through guest relations rather than the automated telephone booking system. I would do this asap when you arrive.

Regarding sunbeds I advise that you get up about 7:30 to lay your 13 towels! unless you all go to the beach. The beach has hundreds of available sunbeds.

That's really kind of you to reply so quickly.

Thankyou yet again.

2 weeks and counting. Can anyone advise if there is any dress code in the restaurants in this hotel please?

I note that the security boxes in the rooms are free and digital, do you put your own codes in when you get allocated your the room? Silly question i know but obviously don't want anything to happen to my valuables.

We are in a family bungalow, on the hotel website these look quite nice has anyone else stayed in one of these?

' class=

Hi there did not see any evidence of a dress code folk did smarten up a tad for a la cartes but my oh wore 3/4 trousers and a shirt but saw folk with shorts t shirts etc no problems.

Code you put in your own follwed by # to set the code simple you can change as you wish.

Family bungalows can be anywhere in the resort they are scattered all over some rooms are family, some interconnecting some rooms just standard so could be anywhere - we had a family room same size as bungalow family ones I believe and they are a great size - twin room, double room with bathroom.

voyage belek dress code

I think you will find that outside the dining room there is a board which describes the dress code ,although some people flaunt the rules and wear shorts and t shirts they are actually frowned apon in the evening. I have seen some follk getting away with them ,but i have also seen some pulled up because of it and have to go and change .I never put myself in that position so if i am not wearing long trousers i wear three quarters or dress shorts.

In the A la Cartes they are definitly not allowed.

I am starting to panic as we are going very shortly. My son is nearly 14 and as you can appreciate is not into shirts etc and prefers the casual dress i.e shorts tee shirt and trainers will this be a problem going into the restaurant in the evening?

I honestly did not see anyone getting turned away - in fact I commented one night about a young child probably about 3 wearing nothing but pants which I felt really bad but she was walking about in the buffet no-one said anything.

I was with a group of 12 of us - the guys wore shorts and tops at night in the buffet generally when we went to a la cartes smartened up but saying that was still 3/4 or linen trouser type things with smart t shirts or casual shirts - don't panic am sure he will be absolutely fine - he won't be allowed in wearing swimming trunks but will be fine in normal teen clothes

the food is amazing by the way!

Thanks for reassuring me. Note your comments re food, just can't wait to go now.

At the end of the day it is up to the individual what they think is acceptable ,but as i have said on many occaions on this site and others. There is a board outside of the dining rooms descibing what you are allowed to wear .When i say shorts and t shirts i dont mean casual smart shorts and tops .i mean the shorts and tops that people wear around the pool and then walk into the dining room at night wearing the same . As for not seeing anyone turned away i have been at this hotel three times and many many more in the Belek area in the last thirteen years and many more in other countries all over the world and i have seen many men and women being asked to leave because of what they were wearing.. The first time i visited the Voyage there was an english guy who would wear the same shorts and top day and night no matter where . After about three days of complaints from other guests ,he wass asked to leave the dining room and change ,he did ,he came back ten minutes later with a different top but wearing the same shorts .His wife and him was always sure of a table as no one would sit beside or next to him.

' class=

come on, surley everybody who goes to hotels like these 5 stars hotels in turkey should enjoy getting dressed up a little bit for your evening meal. its part of your holiday glamming it up a bit a night. they even get slighty smart for the evening meal on the programme benidorm ha ha!!!! If people want to wear there scruffy trunks and greasy vests at the dinner table perhaps they should try a 1 star b and b in blackpool!!!!

Exactly lovemehols .I can never understand some people not wanting to dress smartly for dinner .If you went for a meal in a restaurants at home you would not think of wearing shorts and t shirts then again you never can tell with some folk lol

Sorry but the question related to a 14 year old boy - there is no need for his parents to panic because people do not get dressed up in formal evening wear to eat at this hotel - I dont think anywhere did she ask if he could go to dinner wearing skanky shorts and smelly tshirts.

People like I say smarten at night and beach or pool wear is a no no in the restaurants - I wore smart trousers and tops, dresses but also wore 3/4 trousers and tops. My husband wore 3/4 or full length linen trousers with a smart casual tshirt or shirt. However no-one will be expected to wear evening gowns and suits to go for dinner.

I really think people look for reassurance by asking questions on these forums and basically slagging off a 14 year old kids clothes as not smart enough is upsetting and causes worry - as far as I am concerned if you are clean and tidy what difference does it make if its shorts, 3/4, trousers or whatever if you are not hurting or offending anyone then let them have their holiday. I reiterate I did not see anyone dressing offensively or in smelly clothes - I did see a tot in pants which I thought wrong for hygiene and for safety reasons - however a guy in clean tidy casual wear is totally appropriate for eating in a buffet and smarter or smart casual in perfectly acceptable in any other. Young lads wore shorts, 3/4 etc and girls wore dresses, trousers and occasionally barely visible skirts - but they all got served and the food is amazing.

So relax 4568 and look forward to your holiday

I really don't think anyone would expect a fourteen year old boy to be dressed in anything other than shorts ,t shirts and trainers .But adults should know better and i can assure you once again if you look at the board outside the dining room there is a board on which you are told what not to wear and as i have already said it is up to each individual to make up there own mind .

What is dress code for gents in the restaurants in the evening and is it more smart casual for us ladies rather than full on glam.

' class=

As I understand it, it is long trousers for men and smart casual for us.

I certainly won't be going for the full glam thing in June when we go.

I think men can wear smart 3/4 length trousers in the buffet, but I'm not sure this would be appropriate in the a la cartes.

I'm sure people who have been will answer your question to confirm though.

Exciting though!!

Thanks Sharon

Hubby likes to go down for evening meal wearing shirt and trousers but also likes to go and get changes into smart shorts or 3/4 and smart t-shirt after for comfort and coolness. Honest he takes more clothes than me then moans about the cases being heavy lol men!!!!!!!!!

My OH has done that a few times. ie. gone back and got changed after dinner. We both like to look smart, but also be comfortable too. I can't be running around after our young kids in clothes that aren't comfortable & I don't have time to get all glammed up as I have to get them ready too. Plus I can't afford posh clothes and have the wonderful holidays we have booked too.

Oh and our 4pm drinks round the pool usually go on far too long, meaning we stagger back to our rooms with not much time to get ready for dinner..haha.

Once last year we got chatting to some people around the pool during our 4pm drinks and suddenly looked up and realised that everyone was coming out dressed for dinner and we were still sat there in our swimwear & towels drinking and laughing away. I can still picture it now in my mind. The staff had put tablecloths, nuts and candles on all the tables except ours ready for the evening entertainment etc and we hadn't noticed. The time just flew...it was so funny, but we did feel a bit silly..haha

My OH doesn't get much space in the suitcase though..I always pack all the kids nappies, everyones toiletries & suncream, kids inflatables, toys etc in his case and just leave him a small section of it...mean aren't I...haha. He doesn't mind though....bless him :-)

We've done that quite a few times lol but hey what the heck you're on your jollies and no one bats an eyelid do they.

I can't wait to go 12 weeks on Saturday just enough time, I hope, to get rid of the excess weight gained at Christmas at home and New Year in Tenerife AI.

Just got ready to go into town and these jeans are awful tight lol.

voyage belek dress code

I love that 4/5pm early drink. Everyone goes up around that time to get ready. Dinner starts early at 6.30pm usually. We tend to eat a little later......Sharon - you may find us a tad embarrassing by the time you come back out again with the little ones at Easter :) especially when sunsunsun gets there! :)

Bugalug...you make me smile.

I don't think I am going to find you or sunsunsun at all embarrassing for one second. I will be joining you...haha.

The staff didn't bat an eyelid with the fact that we were still sat there in our swimwear and towels whilst everyone else was coming out in their eveningwear. They just joined in and had a laugh with us and said they were just so pleased that we having a good time and to just carry on. It really does make me smile when I think back.

What date do you fly out? We go to the Barut Lara on the 17th April so will give you a wave as you fly over :-)

We fly 23 April for one week to VB. so I'll wave to you. Just come back from a brisk walk, need to do something lol. It's only so I can put it all back on again while I'm there and not feel guilty. Bye the way that 4/5 o'clock drink is my favourite time of the day after a hard day sunbathing and reading it's just what is needed.
