With each moment that country singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde spends onstage, she reveals she's 100 percent the real thing. From her rough-and-tumble, tatted-up image to her emotionally naked songwriting and unadorned, from-the-heart performance style, this is a lady who's not putting on any airs. Backed by a full band and letting her rocking side show through, or performing with only her own acoustic guitar for company, McBryde lays it all out in a full-throttle, no-nonsense fashion. She's a storyteller at heart, and that quality comes through whether she's singing a detail-rich tune like "A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega" or chatting up the audience in between songs and sharing select slices of her life.

Ashley McBryde Background

Ashley McBryde comes from the school of pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps. Instead of waiting around to be discovered by a big label, she leapt into the fray and took matters into her own hands. The Arkansas singer-songwriter set about following her destiny in country music by releasing two albums under her own steam, the first arriving even before she made her 2007 move to Nashville. But after putting in plenty of hard work to get her soulful vocal style and compelling story-songs to a wide audience, McBryde eventually gained considerable traction. She released her major-label debut album, Girl Going Nowhere, in 2018, reaching the upper rungs of the country charts in the process. By the time the dust cleared, McBryde had been nominated for a pair of Grammys as well as nabbing the coveted CMA and ACM new artist awards in 2019. She rose even higher with her next album, 2020's Never Will, ascending to loftier levels on the country albums and singles charts and serving notice that her kind of country music had come to stay.

Ashley McBryde was amazing and her opener was too. If I have any complaint (and I really don’t) is that it could have been a bit louder. On the mezzanine level the sound was just a little bit muffled. She is an amazing singer, songwriter and her band is great 👍🏻

Her vocals were just like listening to her albums. That’s the true test of an artist. Do they sound the same live. She didn’t disappoint. Wish she had played 20 more minutes. Missed her not playing Martha Devine. Nice to see how down to earth she really is. No ego in that woman. She knows where she has come from. Very refreshing. 4/5

Ashley McBryde Announces The Devil I Know World Tour

Ashley McBryde has announced a world tour for 2023 and 2024, entitled The Devil I Know Tour.

Ahead of the release of her new studio album of the same name on September 8, the Arkansas country star has announced the set of dates will see her travel across the United States and Canada from October of this year. Following those dates, she heads across the pond to the UK and Ireland in January 2024.

McBryde will take an array of different acts on tour with her in support, with Corey Kent and Harper O'Neill supporting on all of the UK and IE shows. Bella White, JD Clayton, Kasey Tyndall, Will Jones and Zach Top will support on various dates in the US and Canada.

Following the release of last year's critically acclaimed eclectic concept album, Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville , McBryde hasn't wasted any time in continuing this momentum with the release of more music.

In February 2023, Ashley McBryde made the the first single from the new record, ‘Light On In The Kitchen’ available. Upon the release of the single, McBryde motioned to the fact that she wouldn't keep fans waiting for new music, explaining; “You know me, as soon as we put out new music... first thing I want to do is put out more new music. I can, I am, I will”.

What an amazing show put on at the Shipping and Receiving Yard in FTW Texas. Opening act was Lainey Wilson. She was intuned with the audience and even came off stage after show for selfies and talked with many of us. Ashley was hands down into our Texas crowd and we gave it right back singing every song back for her. Quinn the drummer even came down after the show to get to know the audience and for us, that makes us bigger fans. Thank you all for coming to Texas. I Chyre Page enjoyed the small venue to see them all up close. Great job to all the staff as well. Hands down, great venue, great artists and crowd.

I really don’t think I could have enjoyed this gig any more than I did! I’ve been to some AMAZING gigs over the past few years including Luke Combs, Kip Moore and Carrie Underwood, but I honestly think Ashley McBryde topped them all! The atmosphere was great, she was vocally incredible and she just stands on that stage, exposes her heart to the audience and puts in absolutely everything she’s got and more. I got tickets to take my dad because he thinks she’s great too.. he’s been to see some class acts in his time (Springsteen etc) but even he was really buzzing from this and said he couldn’t remember the last time he went to such a great gig. We would *definitely* see her again (this was the second time I have seen her live as she was Support for Luke Combs) I just wish all the best gigs weren’t always so far away, come to Bristol!

Absolutely brilliant night, loved every second, amazing vocals and energy. I have been a fan ever since I heard Eric Church introduce Ashley on stage, such a talented lady. I had been waiting to see her live for some time and she didn't disappoint in fact was one of the best I've seen. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to see her again.

Ashley McBryde Mounts ‘The Devil I Know’ Tour for Winter 2023

Ashley McBryde is gearing up for her next headlining tour.

On Monday (Aug. 7), the singer announced her upcoming the  Devil I Know Tour, which will kick off on Oct. 7 in Mobile, Ala., and extend into early 2023. The trek is named for her album of the same title, which is due for release in early September.

McBryde will begin her tour with a couple of months of U.S. dates (and one stop in Canada), and after the new year, she's taking her show overseas: The run includes several January stops in the U.K. and Ireland.

"Wild as Her" singer Corey Kent will join McBryde on tour for select dates. Bella White, Harper O'Neill, JD Clayton, Kasey Tyndall, Will Jones and Zach Top will also split the opening slot during the Devil I Know Tour.

McBryde's new album will arrive on Sept. 8, and its lead single, "Light on in the Kitchen," is already a Top 25 hit at country radio. She's also previewed the project with a handful of other early tracks, including "Learned to Lie," "The Devil I Know."

Most recently, she dropped "Cool Little Bars," a Lainey Wilson co-write that McBryde says shows her "huge appreciation for bars that have stood the test of time and have a lot of character."

Tickets for McBryde's the  Devil I Know Tour go on sale on Friday (Aug. 11) at 10AM local time.

Ashley McBryde Puts A Country Spin On The Disney Classic “Part Of Your World,” And I’m Obsessed

The Little Mermaid , but make it country.

I’m SO here for this…

During a concert on her current The Devil I Know tour in Orlando, Florida a few weeks ago, Ashley McBryde covered a Disney classic in “Part of Your World,” which is of course from the iconic 1989 animated film The Little Mermaid .

The song was written by lyricist Howard Ashman and composer Alan Menken as part of the movie’s soundtrack, and performed by Jodi Benson in her role as Ariel, the mermaid princess.

And I know I’m probably very partial because Ariel is my favorite princess and I’ve always loved the soundtrack, but this is just too good.

Ashley doesn’t miss:

ASHLEY McBRYDE ANNOUNCES 35+ DATE THIS TOWN TALKS THEATER TOUR FOR 2021-2022

NPR  celebrates  Ashley McBryde  as an artist that “has found an audience by relentlessly touring, being so relatable to country fans of all kinds…she sings these songs that are classic, but they’re also rock ‘n’ roll…and they touch the heart of the heartland,” while  POLLSTAR  declares the four-time GRAMMY nominee “did it the old-fashioned way: grinding out dates, writing songs about women being counted out for not fitting the mold.”

Now, the ACM and CMA Award winner readies her joyous return to the road and her self-made fanbase with the announcement of her  This Town Talks Tour , kicking off June 12 in Roanoke, Va. before heading out to an additional 36 cities across the U.S. into 2022, wrapping on Jan.15, 2022 in Cleveland, Ohio with the support of Morgan Wade, Priscilla Block, Adam Hambrick and Ray Fulcher.

“AAAAAND we’re back,” exclaims McBryde. “I’ve been waiting so long to be able to say that. We’ve missed you all so much, there aren’t even words to do it justice. These songs were written and recorded to be sang together. Now, let’s be together and make some damn music!”

After releasing her critically acclaimed sophomore album  Never Will  in April of last year, to say McBryde and Deadhorse (her band) are eager is an understatement. “There’s a hunger, an angst and a real calling that we’ve all been feeling.”

It will be the first time  Never Will,  the  only  album to be nominated by the Academy of Country Music, Country Music Association and The Recording Academy (same cycle) has been performed live since its release. Fans can expect McBryde’s set-list to include the RIAA Gold-Certified “ One Night Standards ,” current single “ Martha Divine ,” which  NPR  shares is her “rowdiest jam to date” and that “when she plays it live, this thing will shake ceilings,” and title track “Never Will” among the hard-hitting “American Scandal” and seminal track “Girl Goin’ Nowhere” from her groundbreaking debut album. 

Pre-sale tickets for McBryde’s fan-club The Trybe begins tomorrow, Tuesday May 18, at 10 a.m. local time, while the Spotify pre-sale will begin Wednesday, May 19 at 12 p.m. local time. The Arkansas-native is also prepping for her first headlining shows at the historic Ryman Auditorium, with back-to-back nights at the Mother Church of Country Music supported by Lainey Wilson on Thursday, Aug. 26 and Caylee Hammack on Friday, Aug. 27.

Voted by a consortium of leading national music critics,  Never Will  received the title of Best Album from  Nashville Scene ’s  21ST ANNUAL COUNTRY MUSIC CRITICS’ POLL , and also earned a spot in the top 20 of  ROLLING STONE ’s all-genre “Best Albums of 2020” dubbing, the record as “this year’s most adventurous mainstream country album” while landing at No. 1 on  ROLLING STONE ’s  “Best Country and Americana Albums of 2020,” proclaiming it “re-creates the trick McBryde pulled off on her stellar debut: proving that honest-to-goodness country songs can have commercial appeal.”

Earlier this year, McBryde announced the  Never Will: Live From A Distance  EP, with live versions of “First Thing I Reach For,” “Martha Divine,” “Shut Up Sheila” and “Voodoo Doll” available now, and the full release to be delivered on May 28.
