In Israel you visit Jerusalem and Bethlehem, the city Jesus was born.

Day 5: Visit Valley of Kings, Hatshepsuts temple, Alabaster workshop, Karnak & Luxor temples

Day 6: Fly Luxor-Amman.

Day 7:  Visit Petra. Drive to Dead Sea.

Day 8: Drive to Jerusalem. Boarder crossing.

Day 9: Visit Jerusalem, Old City

Day 10: Visit Jerusalem New City & Bethlehem

Day 11: Fly Tel Aviv-Los Angeles

Day 1: Fly Los Angeles-Cairo Checked luggage will be sent directly to Cairo.

Day 2: Arriving Cairo, Visit Museum Upon arrival, our representative will meet you, assist with luggage, and there will be transfer directly to National Museum on Tharir Sq. which is very close to our hotel. Remarks: The Egyptian Authorities is in the process of moving all the antiquities to the Great Egypt Museum (GEM) built by the Giza Pyramids. Tut Ankh Amon’s famous mask and coffin are still in the Tharir Museum. The GEM is not yet officially opened.

Day 3: Visit Giza pyramids & Mohamed Aly Mosque Today we visit one of the highlights: Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos pyramids – commonly called the Giza pyramids. Pyramids of Cheops is the last standing of the “seven wonders of the world”. We will make a stop at the vista-point, with a great overview of the pyramids, for photos. We will continue to the mysterious “Sphinx”, situated in front of the pyramid of Chefren, which gives a beautiful view of the three pyramids in the background. Lunch at local restaurant.

We will continue to the Citadel of Salah el Din from 1198, and visit the mosque of Mohamed Ali. The mosque was built on the site of old Mamluk buildings in Cairo's Citadel between 1830 and 1848, although not completed until the reign of Said Pasha in 1857. The architect was Yusuf Bushnak from Istanbul and its model was the Sultan Ahmed Mosque in that city. Followed by dinner. Overnight Kairo.

Day 4: Visit Old Cairo & Khan el Khalili bazars The Hanging Church is The Hanging Church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and contains sanctuaries to her and Saints John the Baptist. It is also referred to as the Suspended Church or Al-Moallaqa. It is called the Hanging Church because it was built on the southern gate of the Roman Fortress. Logs of palm trees and layers of stones were constructed above the ruins of the Roman fortress to be used as a fundament.

We drive to the famous bazaars of Khan el Khalili. This is the largest old market in the Middle East, lasting from the 1600th century. In the tiny alleyways, there are hundreds of shops and booths where you can watch blacksmiths work precious metals. Also be on the lookout for leather goods and woodwork inlaid with camel bone and mother-of-pearl. Bargaining is the norm here and a “must do”.

The Hanging Church is a unique church and has a wooden roof in the shape of Noah’s ark. From the 7th century to the 13th century, the Hanging Church served as the residence of the Coptic Patriarch. Al-Moallaqa has witnessed important elections and religious ceremonies. The Church as we see it today was probably built during the patriarchate of Isaac (690–692).

The Church of Abo Serga is built on the cavern the Holy Family stayed for three months. You are able to enter the cave.

Lunch at local restaurant before we drive to Cairo airport for flight to Luxor. Meet & assistance at airport, drive to hotel for overnight.

Day 5: Luxor visits We will start our sight-seeing program on the west side of the Nile. Here we find the valley known as “City of the dead”. The Valley of the Kings is one of the highlights of the tour. Our ticket includes three randomly chosen royal tombs. The guide will lecture us about the history of each tomb from outside (guiding inside tomb is not allowed), and then we will walk inside knowing that we are the Pharaohs guest in his grave. You will enter the long corridors and enjoy the spectacle of the beautiful colors that have remained for over 3,500 years. If you wish to visit the greatest archaeological discovery in history of ancient Egypt, you can buy the special ticket to visit the tomb of King Tut.

There will be a brief shopping stop at a local stone mason making souvenirs such as small statues, vases, and several other items that may be of interest to you. After our short shopping break, we head to the temple of Queen Hatshepsut Deir El Bahari. We have around one hour to visit the second floor of the temple where the world’s first documentary is depicted on the walls, picturing the expedition to the other side of the Red Sea. This is also considered the world’s first foreign relation between two countries.

On our way back, we will stop by the two statues of Memnon. Our guide will lecture about the mythology and history of these two iconic statues on the west side of Luxor. It’s the only remains of the funeral temple of Amenofis 3 rd .

After lunch we continue our tour with a visit to the Karnak and Luxor temples. Karnak is the largest temple complex in Egypt, with hypostyle halls, 134 huge columns, a sacred lake and much more.

The tour continues on to the much smaller Luxor temple, built by Amenofis 3 rd , but his beautiful temple will definitely amaze you. If you are interested in architecture, engineering, or masonry designs, then you can see the world’s first architectural sketch, which is of the Luxor temple. The temple was continued by Ramses the 2 nd .

At Luxor temple we can see evidence of the three great historic eras of Egypt; Pharaonic, Christianity, and Islamic eras. Ancient Thebes was a center of festivals, and the temple of Luxor was the setting for the most important festival, the festival of Opet, designed to merge the ruler`s human and divine aspects.

Day 6: Luxor-Amman Today you have the unique opportunity to experience a hot air balloon over Luxor. The tour starts at 04.00 and ends at 07.00 (depends on which time of year), but it’s worth every minute lack of sleep. You won’t regret it when you see the spectacular view with the sunrise over the ancient temples and tombs.

There will be time for a little rest at hotel before check out. We will have lunch and leave to airport for flight to Amman with transit in Cairo. Upon arrival Amman, we drive to Petra, approx. 3h. We will have our dinner upon arrival.

Day 7: Petra – the Ancient City, drive to Dead Sea for overnight Today we will experience another highlight of the tour: the Nabatean Ancient City of Petra. We leave in the morning for a lovely stroll between the cracked mountain. It is about 1 mile walk from the entrance of the ancient city to the Treasury (well known from movies like: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Mummy Returns and Transformers, just to mention a few).

After lunch, we will drive to Dead Sea. The distance will take around 3 hours. Check in at hotel. Dinner at night.

Day 8: Drive Dead Sea-Jerusalem (border crossing). After breakfast, we drive from Dead Sea, crossing the border to Israel by Allenby Bridge. After Approx. 1h driving, we reach Jerusalem.

Lunch and dinner included and will be adjusted according to the time schedule.

Day 9: Jerusalem See the famous Dead Sea Scrolls at the Shrine of the Book. View a detailed model of Jerusalem from Herodian times. Experience a moving visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial. Explore the quaint village of Ein Karem where John the Baptist was born. Visit Bethlehem (subject to security clearance) – the birthplace of Jesus at the Church of the Nativity and Manger Square.

Lunch and dinner included and will be adjusted according to the visit.

Day 10: Jerusalem, Betlehem Today, we meet our tour guide, and start our tour with a spectacular view of Jerusalem from Mount of Olives, and then onto the Garden of Gethsemane. In the Old City visit the Western Wall and the Temple Mount (subject to security clearance). Walk the Via Dolorosa, where Jesus carried the cross (Stations of the Cross) until the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Visit the tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper on Mount Zion.
