Miami (January 12, 2023) - Celebrity Cruises celebrates a series of firsts in 2024, with its four Edge Series ships located in top destinations for the summer season and beyond. For the first time, holidaymakers can experience the idyllic Caribbean on new three- and four-night itineraries, or board the newest Edge Series ship, Celebrity Ascent , all while making huge savings with the brand’s new Semi-Annual Sale.

To entice guests to think ahead for 2024, the premium cruise line is now offering up to 75% off the fare of the second guest* on all sailings from now until April 30, 2026.  Those booking on select dates will also receive $200 to spend onboard, which can be used to access a variety of experiences; from pampering spa treatments to the interactive culinary spectacle of Le Petit Chef, alongside exhilarating shore excursions. 

Eligible itineraries for these huge savings include Celebrity Cruises biggest Caribbean season yet, with more options for travelers to enjoy the region’s tranquil blue waters and sunshine.  Nine of Celebrity’s award-winning resorts at sea, the most ever in the Caribbean for the brand, will sail the region on itineraries ranging from brand new three-night short getaways to 12-night elevated vacations giving travelers more options than ever before for escaping the winter blues. Celebrity Ascent, Celebrity Cruises’ fourth and newest ship in the brand’s award-winning Edge Series, embarks on her debut Caribbean season.   Celebrity Ascent offers a 7-night Bahamas, Mexico, & Grand Cayman Caribbean cruise starting February 4, 2024, departing from Ft. Lauderdale. While guests soak up her fantastic new features, she’ll transport them to some of the most sought-after destinations in the region including Philipsburg, St. Maarten, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, and Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Celebrity Ascent will make round-trip sailings from Celebrity’s state-of-the-art Terminal 25 at Port Everglades every Sunday, journeying through the islands on 7-night Western and Eastern Caribbean itineraries.

Eastern Caribbean sailings will visit bucket list worthy locales, including San Juan, Puerto Rico; Tortola in the British Virgin Islands and Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis, while Western Caribbean sailings will take guests to the breathtaking ports of Nassau, Bahamas; Cozumel, Mexico and George Town in the Cayman Islands. Celebrity Beyond ’ s 6-night Western Caribbean and Perfect Day starting on May 12, 2024 departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Sail straight to Perfect Day at CocoCay for an unforgettable experience, then cruise over to George Town in the Cayman Islands for an elevated experience. The final port of call is Bimini, a small island in the Bahamas offering an extraordinary finale before returning to Fort Lauderdale. Celebrity Edge , will be spending her first season in Alaska in 2024, offering guests a fully immersive experience with its unique outward facing design.  Guests on Celebrity Edge can experience a 7-night Alaska Dawes Glacier cruise starting on June 7, 2024 departing from Seattle, Washington. Visiting the region's top spots, guests can experience the '’Salmon Capital of the World', Ketchikan as well as the Endicott Arm to spot the local wildlife including brown bears, bald eagles, sea ducks, deer, moose, and wolves. Then onto Alaska’s capital Juneau and Skagway before heading to Victoria through the Inside Passage and then onto the ship’s final destination of Seattle. Celebrity Ascent will also make her European debut in April 2024. The Edge Series ship will spend the summer in Europe offering salings to all of the Mediterranean's hot spots including Santorini, Mykonos, Naples, Portofino and the island of Sicily.  Celebrity Ascent features a 7-night best of Europe cruise starting from Barcelona on June 29, 2024. The round trip sailing from Barcelona immerses guests in some of Italy’s highlights including Florence and Portofino as well as a chance for some wine tasting in Provence with a call in glorious Marseille. Celebrity Cruises unveils new itineraries or winter 2024-2025

MIAMI — Celebrity Cruises will be kicking off its Winer 2024-2025 season with all-new Caribbean offerings on board four of its ships.

Celebrity Apex, Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Equinox and Celebrity Summit will embark from three Florida ports – Port Canaveral, Port Tampa Bay and Port Everglades – on more than 40 new itineraries, all opening for booking on Aug. 22, 203. The new program includes everything from quick getaways to weekly seven-night cruises and up to nine-night escapes.

Here are some Winter 2024-2025 season highlights:

FROM PORT EVERGLADES

Celebrity will be expanding its offerings from Fort Lauderdale’s Port Everglades to include more opportunities to set sail on wo award-winning ships: Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Summit. From Oct. 23, 2024 to March 8, 2025, travellers can enjoy five new sailings on Apex ranging from 6 to 7 nights and visiting destinations like St. Maarten, San Juan Grand Cayman and Mexico, as well as select sailings to Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas, the private island destination of sister cruise line Royal Caribbean International.

In addition, from Feb. 25, 2025 to April 10, 2025, Celebrity Summit will offer five new itineraries ranging from 5-9 nights across the Western and Eastern Caribbean.

FROM PORT CANAVERAL

For the first time ever, Celebrity Cruises will sail out of Orlando’s Port Canaveral with 20 new itineraries from Nov. 21, 2024 to April 19, 2025 on board the Celebrity Equinox. Most itineraries span seven nights and visit popular destinations like The Bahamas, Grand Cayman, Mexico, San Juan and St. Maarten. Plus, wo sailings on March 1 and March 15, 2025 will visit Perfect Day at CocoCay.

FROM PORT TAMPA BAY

Celebrity Cruises will be revamping its current Caribbean program out of Port Tampa Bay. Guests can now enjoy more frequent opportunities to set sail on six- to seven-night cruises on board Celebrity Constellation. The new program will expand the brand’s offerings with four new itineraries and a total of 14 sailings for the season from Jan. 2, 2025 to April 6, 2025. These itineraries will visit destinations like Belize, Honduras, Key West, Mexico and New Orleans during Mardi Gras, scheduled for March 1, 2025.

Canada is a country of cruisers according to Virtuoso’s 2024 Luxe Report, which gathers information from its network of travel advisors who arrange travel for a typically affluent clientele. Cruise sales in 2023 rose 48% above 2022, with the trend proceeding in 2024, said Una O’Leary, Canada GM for Virtuoso Travel. Highlighting adventure cruising as a top trend for Canadian travellers, the report notes Canadians are willing to travel great distances for dream experiences.

As one who has reviewed cruise ships and myriad itineraries since 1990, the question I’m most often asked is: What is the best cruise?

Well, that depends on your lifestyle preferences, available time, budget, and where you wish to go. My choice of 2024’s best – or most desirable – cruise ships afloat are: Atlas World Voyager, Crystal’s Symphony and Serenity, Cunard’s Queen Anne arriving in May, Explora Journeys Explora I with Explora II arriving soon, Oceania Vista and sister Allura launching soon, Regent Seven Seas Grandeur, Seabourn’s Venture and Pursuit, and Silversea’s Silver Nova and Silver Ray launching soon.

As global horizons brim with exciting destinations, the newest itineraries beckon intrepid cruisers to view rarely-seen vistas and wildlife, experience awesome adventures, or immerse themselves in local culture. Here are ten itineraries sure to spark bragging rights.

1. Viking’s Paris & Heart of Normandy

This 8-day Seine River cruise loops from Paris to Rouen in Normandy, giving guests a glorious sense of the historic river that influenced French art, culture, cuisine, and history. Viking’s longships dock and overnight in the heart of the City of Light, in view of the Eiffel Tower, where elation bubbles over Olympic ceremonies.

Viking’s included excursions give an excellent view of Paris’ essential sites, plus a visit to Napoleon’s Chateau Malmaison. Stops along the Seine include medieval villages and dreamy Giverny for the house and gardens where Impressionist artist Claude Monet painted his cycle of water lilies. From the Gothic city of Rouen, guests visit the Normandy Beaches – marking the 80th Anniversary of D-Day on June 6, 2024 – as well as Allies’ cemeteries, museums and historic sites. 2. Cunard’s British Isles Festival Voyage

Cunard celebrates the new Queen Anne – the world’s most anticipated cruise ship, arriving in May 2024 – with a 14-night British Isles Festival Voyage that circumnavigates the British Isles from Southampton, England with calls at Ireland and Scotland.

Every port offers chances to experience active adventure and historic culture. From Belfast, the Giant’s Causeway and Titanic Trail. From Cobh, Blarney Castle and Cork sites. Cruising Antarctica, you’re destined to be awestruck by the pristine beauty, thriving wildlife including whales, seals, and various penguin species. And if you brave a polar dip in frigid waters, you earn a lifetime of bragging rights.

4. Seabourn’s Beyond The North Cape

Seabourn high Arctic expedition including Svalbard Seabourn Venture’s 12-Day Svalbard – Beyond The North Cape takes guests on the ultimate Arctic adventure, starting north of the Arctic Circle in Tromso, Norway and ending in Edinburgh, Scotland. Norway’s coast and islands are rich in birdlife, wildlife, and dotted with fishing villages and places sacred to Norwegian heritage.

Thrills abound on kayak and Zodiac jaunts among icebergs and through scenic fiords, and exhilarating hikes over tundra landscapes thriving with small plants and flowers. Seven Seas Grandeur’s 10-day Epicurean Spotlight voyage from Athens to Barcelona focuses on tantalizing gastronomies of countries fringing the Mediterranean Sea, with opportunities to meet celebrated chefs, dine in Michelin-starred restaurants, visited famed wineries, learn culinary secrets, and visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

From Piraeus, Greece (port for Athens) Seven Seas Grandeur calls at Bozcaada and Istanbul, Turkey; Taormina, Sicily; Sorrento for Capri, Italy; Civitavecchia to access Rome, Italy; Cannes and Marseille, France, before disembarkation in Barcelona.

6. Oceania Cruises’ Kiwi & Aussie Majesty

Oceania Regatta’s 15-day itinerary from Auckland, New Zealand to Sydney, Australia mingles active escapades through stunning nature and wildlife with indulgent culinary and wine experiences, while introducing guests to vibrant local cultures, both Aboriginal and modern.

This excellent itinerary offers excursions to New Zealand’s best sites within a time frame impossible by a land tour. From Auckland, it runs to Rotorua, Napier, Picton, Christchurch, Dunedin, Bluff and cruising Milford Sound fiords before crossing the Tasman Sea to Australia for calls at Melbourne and Tasmania en route to Sydney.

7. Crystal Symphony’s Land of the Rising Sun

Crystal Symphony’s 11-day itinerary  from Hong Kong to Yokohama, port city for Tokyo, takes guests on an immersive journey through the history and delights of Asian culture, both ancient and modern.

Starting in Hong Kong, the voyage continues to Keelung, Taiwan en route to a comprehensive tour of Japan. Notable ports of call include tropical Miyako-Jima, Naha Okinawa, Kagoshima, Kochi, and Kobe, prior to overnighting in Yokohama for excursions to Tokyo.

8. Explora Journey’s Cinematic Shores and the Panama Canal 

Explora 1’s leisurely, 19-day itinerary from Los Angeles to Miami, called Journey from Cinematic Shores and the Panama Canal An Extended Journey takes guests on a superbly luxurious voyage to San Diego; Mexico’s Cabo San Lucas, Mazatland and Puerto Vallarta en route to Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala.

From there, guests visit Puntarena, Costa Rica before crossing the iconic Panama Canal. After stopping in Panama City, the cruise continues to Cartagena and Santa Marta Columbia before arriving in Miami.

9. Holland America Line’s Yukon + Denali

As Alaska celebrates its 65th anniversary of statehood, many lines offer special cruises. Holland America Line’s 14-day Yukon + Denali cruise on ms Kongingsdam offers the most exciting combo of sea and land experiences, with chances to view the Northern Lights. From Anchorage, guests overnight in Alaska’s Denali National Park before visiting Fairbanks.

After flying to Dawson City, Yukon for another overnight, they continue to Whitehorse, northern Canada’s largest city, then on to Skagway to embark on the Alaska route to see Glacier Bay and Ketchikan. The cruise continues through the Inside Passage to Vancouver, British Columbia.

The world’s biggest ship, Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas is a destination unto itself. Loaded with spectacular options for thrill-seekers and families with kids, Icon is conducive to intergenerational bonding, as grandparents can easily retreat to secluded, adult-only pools and lounges.

In May of 2024, Cunard's Queen Mary 2 vessel will offer three different transatlantic crossings of various lengths. Choose from a seven-night sailing from Brooklyn, New York , to Southampton, England; a nine-night sailing to Hamburg, Germany ; and an 18-night round-trip sailing that departs from Brooklyn and crosses the Atlantic twice on the way back to its starting point. This unique combination of itineraries lets you cross the sea and tailor your trip to how long you want to be away from home.

The 18-night itinerary is especially interesting, since it lets you depart from the United States and arrive back in Brooklyn in the end with stops in both England and Germany, as well as plenty of sea days in between. Luxury cruise line Cunard is known for its elegant design, lush amenities and upscale feel, and the Queen Mary 2 is one of the line's most luxurious ships. Seabourn is offering a 21-night transatlantic cruise from Miami on Seabourn Quest in March 2024 that offers a diverse range of ports of call before ending its voyage in Las Palmas in Spain's Canary Islands . Departure from Miami is followed by nine days at sea. Then, you'll enjoy multiple stops in the Canary Islands – including Santa Cruz de La Palma and San Sebastián de La Gomera – as well as stops in Praia and Mindelo the Cape Verde archipelago.

The ship ends its journey in Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe.

After that, enjoy a day in Nassau in the Bahamas before the cruise drops passengers off in sunny Florida.

Interior staterooms on this Royal Caribbean sailing start at just $876 per person (plus port taxes and fees), which works out to around $60 per night, per person. The Oasis of the Seas megaship can hold a total of 6,771 guests and 2,109 crew, so it's an enormous vessel – to put it mildly. This size may not be ideal for travelers who want a more intimate cruising experience, but it's perfect for cruisers who want plenty of space to spread out and endless activities to take part in.
