LightsUp! A Festival of Illumination is from November 24, 2023 – January 7, 2024. LightsUp! Stroll through six themed light areas and be dazzled by over one million lights, dancing sculptures, and awe-inspiring luminaria displays. Designed by nationally known public garden landscape architect Tres Fromme, the Gardens will transform into a carefully curated and artfully sequenced series of illuminated experiences. Six distinct yet connected thematic zones comprise LightsUp!: Arrival, Welcome Walk, Whimsy Way, Bedazzled Boulevard, Star Shower, and Luminaria Lane. In addition to clouds of LED lights throughout the display, there are custom-built, oversized props including light tunnels, cypress-inspired spindle trees, punched-tin stars trees, light curtains, and luminaria chandeliers and archways. All contribute to creating an unforgettable holiday experience unlike any other in southern Arizona. A casual walk through the show will take approximately 45 minutes and will be accompanied by a soundtrack that, in some areas, will be choreographed with lights.

For more than four decades, the lighting of the Mesa Arizona Temple gardens has been a favorite holiday tradition for many. The free event, with over 200,000 lights has grown to become one of the largest Christmas lighting events in the Southwest, recently drawing over 1.5 million visitors. The lights are on every night, 5-10 p.m., from Friday, Nov. 24, through Sunday, Dec. 31, on the north lawn of the Mesa Arizona Temple, 101 S. LeSueur, in downtown Mesa. Free parking is available nearby. A unique display of more than 100 international nativities from around the world is also hosted inside the Mesa Temple Visitors’ Center, 455 E. Main, (across the street from the Mesa Arizona Temple). The event is free and open 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. from Nov 24-Dec. 31. The nativities display will also be open from 11 am -1 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Some houses go all out with lights that are synchronized to music, while others boast thousands of twinkling Christmas lights and colors.

Locating these free holiday lights might pose a challenge, but we’ve got you covered with a map and list! Enhance your evening outings by exploring the festive displays near your home. Take a glance, plan a delightful family evening, and make the most of the holiday season!

A few things to keep in mind as well:

• We enjoy bringing along a steaming cup of hot chocolate and some cookies to savor during our drive! It’s a delightful way to make the commute between neighborhoods more enjoyable.
• Traffic tends to be busier on weekends and during the week surrounding Christmas Day, especially near neighborhoods adorned with festive lights. Anticipate potential delays, particularly on popular streets.
• Bring along your favorite holiday tunes to enhance the festive atmosphere, or tune in to the continuous stream of Christmas music on the local station 99.9 FM.
• Most neighborhood light displays are best experienced from the sidewalk or your car. While some homes may welcome closer inspection or feature additional displays, these areas should be clearly marked. Avoid blocking driveways.
• When parked temporarily to enjoy a display, consider turning off your headlights to minimize distractions. Remember to switch them back on when you’re ready to resume driving!

Holiday Lights in Phoenix

Glitter and Glow in December

It wouldn't be the winter holidays without loads of sparkling lights to brighten up the long, dark nights. These Phoenix-area holiday light displays run through December and sometimes even into January. So choose one or more for some glittering holiday cheer during the holiday season.

Lights of the World

While there is a Christmas zone, this isn't just about Christmas. This huge festival of lanterns and lights celebrates regions and cultures of the world near downtown Phoenix at the Arizona State Fairgrounds. Billed as the largest holiday light show in the country, this is a must-see event for anyone in the Phoenix area during the holidays. Apart from the 10 million lights on display, other hit activities include a puppet rock concert and a sea lion show.

Lights of the World opens November 21, 2019, and runs until January 12, 2020. It's open evenings every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They also open on December 24-25, December 30-31, and January 1.

ZooLights at the Phoenix Zoo

Each year the Phoenix Zoo puts up an amazing holiday display called ZooLights. This event is about holiday lights, music, and lighted animal sculptures. This show is mostly about the lights, not the live animals, although there are some daytime enclosures open during ZooLights, such as the zebras, flamingos, Komodo dragons, otters, and a special reindeer exhibit just for the holidays.

This year ZooLights opens on November 27, 2019, and runs nightly until January 19, 2020.

Christmas at the Princess

The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess puts on its holiday dress and transforms itself into a sparkling winter wonderland for this event. Skate on real ice on the resort's Desert Ice Skating Rink and check out the Christmas tree light show against the resort's facade. And who wouldn't love to make a furry friend at Build-a-Bear Workshop?

Christmas at the Princess kicks off on November 26, 2019, with the annual tree lighting ceremony and you can enjoy the festivities daily through December 31, 2019.

Las Noches de las Luminarias

Each year during the holiday season the Desert Botanical Garden lines the paths of its extraordinary landscape with thousands of luminarias, special Christmastime lanterns. You can get a bite to eat at the Patio Cafe and get a glass, bottle, or flight of wine. And there will be live entertainment every night as a soundtrack for this one-of-a-kind experience. This is a ticketed event, and it is smart to book in advance.

Las Noches de las Luminarias debuts for the season on Black Friday, November 29, 2019. It will also be open November 30, December 6-8, December 13-15, December 17-23, and December 26-31.

Glendale Glitters

Historic Downtown Glendale comes to life each holiday season with about 1.6 million multi-colored twinkling holiday lights throughout a 12-block area that includes the Old Towne and Catlin Court districts. You can walk or drive around the area without digging for your wallet, as it's free for all visitors.

Glendale Glitters begins each year on the day after Thanksgiving, and this year runs nightly November 29, 2019, until January 11, 2020.

Ahwatukee Festival of Lights

The beautiful white Ahwatukee lights in southern Phoenix can be seen on Chandler Boulevard from 24th Street to Desert Foothills Parkway. The Saturday after Thanksgiving you can also join for the Kick-Off Party, a huge street festival with food, beer and wine, live music, holiday shopping, and a visit from Santa.

Each year the lights are turned on the Monday before Thanksgiving and stay on nightly until early January.

McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park Holiday Lights

Take a train ride through many festive holiday lights and displays that turn the Railroad Park in Scottsdale into a winter wonderland. Santa visits the park on most nights, so kids have the chance to share their wishlists and get a picture. During the first two weeks, wear your ugliest Christmas sweater to the park for a chance to win prizes.

The park is open nightly from November 29, 2019, until January 5, 2020, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. It is closed on December 24-25 and December 31.

Glendale has been known to go all out with its holiday lights downtown. Glendale Glitters , as it is called, sports 1.5 million lights covering more than 16 blocks in Historic Downtown Glendale.  It is budget-friendly and family-oriented.  The Glendale Civic Center is draped from stem to stern in the latest in holiday light design.

Have you seen the lights that twinkle downward on a sheet of strings that make them appear  like snow falling ? They have them here.

Glendale has turned the holiday lighting season into a full fledged event. There will be  horse drawn carriages . The city of Glendale  may even truck in some snow  for the kids to play. Watch as an  ice sculptor  magically makes an animal appear out of a 300-pound block of ice.

Lee and Patricia Sepanek have become quite famous for their holiday display.

They decorate with  250,000 lights  and hundreds of animated characters. The windows to their home become Macy’s style decorated windows. There is  music and the light displays  dance to the music. An  80′ tall tree  is completely decorated. They have been known to run a  bubble machine  and an artificial snow machine.

We’ll review all the options with you! Phoenix Zoo Lights and World of Illuminations and other Holiday Light Pay Per Car Events do not permit limousines or party buses. Due to the tight turns and many intricate light displays these shows restrict access. There just isn’t enough room for these vehicles to safely make their way through the displays without risking damage to the vehicle itself, other vehicles, and the theme parks. For this reason, the bigger party buses are best for customized community tours. We can discuss your specific details and determine the best options!

For our custom tours, we love to add a stop off for dessert or maybe a quick stop for caroling at Grandma’s house! Adding these personalized stops to your tour creates a truly custom Holiday Family Tradition to repeat year after year!

As questions and concerns arise as a result of COVID-19 (commonly referred to as Coronavirus), our company has taken a number of precautionary measures to provide the highest level of protection for our customers and staff. A thorough cleaning of vehicle interior surfaces is conducted following each ride, and all company working areas are cleaned and disinfected daily. Furthermore, we have instructed all employees to seek medical attention immediately if they feel unwell, and we do not allow sick employees to report for work under any circumstances. You may notice some changes to your regular service as a result of these precautions, such as the removal of all printed and reading materials from the seat-back pockets, the cessation of candy, mints, water or beverage offerings, and the limiting of all physical material sharing between passengers and drivers wherever possible. Cancellation Policy Security Deposit or deposits are non-refundable Sedan, SUV, Non-Tour Van and Specialty ADA|Wheelchair Vehicles in the Phoenix metropolitan area or connecting cities, cancellations · (24hr-01min) before the scheduled pick-up time will have no refund. · (48hr-25hr) hours before the scheduled pick-up time will have a 50% refund. Tour Van, Minibuses, and Motor Coaches Vehicles in the Phoenix metropolitan area or connecting cities, cancellations · (02wk-01min) before the scheduled pick-up time will have no refund. · (04wk-02wk) before the scheduled pick-up time will have a 50% refund. Grace period after booking is granted for cancellations made on booking scheduled for pickup greater than 24 hours. If canceled during this 24 hour grace period, a 75% refund will be issued or a 100% full value credit for another date and time. Wine, Salt River Tubing and Christmas Light Tour Cancellations · 24-hour grace period after booking is granted for cancellations made for Wine, Salt river and Christmas Light Tours. If canceled during this 24 hour grace period, a 50% refund will be issued Special Events Special events demand periods both locally and in other markets may dictate premium pricing, higher hourly minimums and in some cases multi-day minimums, additional notice for changes and cancellations. Non refundable prepayments may also be required. Vehicles are generally in more limited supply for the higher demand and often times supplemental vehicles are required to accommodate this demand. No Shows If you do not see your chauffeur, please call our office immediately at 602-466-3351 or 855-556-0464. The dispatcher will immediately direct your chauffeur to you. E-Mail Communication Generally we accept new reservations, changes and cancellations by e-mail ([email protected]) with adequate notice. Although we do operate 24/7/365, it is recommended that you verbally confirm any request sent after normal business hours and on major holidays. If your needs require attention in less than twelve (12) hours, please call our office at 602-466-3351 or 855-556-0464. Many clients may be dealing direct with one of our staff members and e-mailing them individually. Staff members only have access to their e-mail during their regular office schedule. Although during normal weekday business hours, we can reasonably monitor “out of office” staff e-mail, we are not able to monitor everyone’s individual e-mail around the clock. So for shorter notice requests, always send those requests to [email protected], not individual e-mail addresses. If that individual staff member is not in the office, your request may not be handled promptly. If you get an “Out of Office” message sent from an individual staff e-mail address, please contact our office by phone 602-466-3351 | 855-556-0464 or e-mail [email protected] right away for your request to be processed. We cannot guarantee cancellations, changes or new reservations unless sent to [email protected] with adequate notice. Chauffeur Tip Policy It is customary to pay a tip to the chauffeur for services rendered. Chauffeur tip is always completely at your discretion and subject to your satisfaction with the chauffeur’s service. You may increase, decrease or eliminate the tip entirely. Please let us know if you choose to pay tip in a different manner. If you are approving an additional tip being added to the bill, please confirm via e-mail to [email protected] referencing your reservation number, or just give us a call to adjust billing. Chauffeurs understand that all tips must be earned by providing outstanding service to our clients and their guests, and that the actual amount received is always up to the client. Arrival Time Blasian Limousine and Transportation | B.E.S.T Transportation | Blasian Executive Secured Transport Inc and its chauffeurs always prepare in advance to avoid unnecessary delays in arrival time. However road, traffic and weather conditions are often times beyond the reasonable control of the company and the chauffeur. No refunds can be given as a result of late arrivals due to such conditions or other occurrences out of the reasonable control of the company or chauffeur. Baggage and Other Property Transported Blasian Limousine and Transportation | B.E.S.T Transportation | Blasian Executive Secured Transport Inc. assumes no risk for handling baggage and other passenger property and is not liable for any loss of such items stored anywhere in vehicles. Passengers may only bring baggage and other property in an amount that can conveniently be carried in the class vehicle hired. Each passenger is responsible for removing all of his/her personal property and baggage from the interior of hired vehicle at the end of the travel day and when the trip ends. We will do everything possible to secure and retrieve any belongings left in the vehicle. Please always check thoroughly prior to leaving the vehicle for all your personal belongings. Passenger Conduct Blasian Limousine and Transportation | B.E.S.T Transportation | Blasian Executive Secured Transport Inc reserves the right to refuse to transport persons under the influence of or in possession of illegal drugs, as well as those excessively intoxicated, in the possession of firearms or dangerous substances of any kind, or who are, or are likely to become objectionable to other persons or if the chauffeur feels threatened in any way. Under no circumstances are minors allowed to consume or possess alcohol or illegal substances while in a company vehicle. Client shall not interfere with the chauffeur in the discharge of his/her duty or tamper with any apparatus or appliance on the vehicle. In such instances, services will be terminated immediately and no refunds will be offered. Excess Cleaning & Damage Client agrees to reimburse for any theft and/or damages caused by any persons in the renting party whether negligent or accidental, which may be billed to Client's credit card, or the guaranteeing credit card, upon notification of damages. Client agrees to pay for the lost income during damage repairs. Blasian Limousine and Transportation is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items. Absolutely no glass bottles in passenger compartment of vehicle while vehicle is in motion that is not secured or stored, ice chest are welcome if it fits in trunk, or front seat. AT THE CHAUFFEUR'S DISCRETION, THE PURCHASER AGREES TO BE FULLY LIABLE FOR ALL CHARGES THAT MAY INCUR. (1) $ 20.00 per broken glassware (2) $ 700.00 per damaged seat, $ 500.00 per damaged carpet, $ 750.00 per damaged mirror (3) $ 150.00 minimum for extensive cleanup (spills, etc.), $75.00 for a gum in the carpet cleanup (4) $ 400.00 shampoo and disinfecting (due to sickness-interior), $ 150.00 detailing and wax due to sickness-exterior (5) $ 500.00 minimum for each burn hole, rip or tear to upholstery (6) $ 2000.00 opening a Vehicle Door into another Vehicle or Stationary Object (7) Triple charge of above listed amounts for all removed / stolen items from vehicle (8) Downtime subject to loss of revenue, per each hour lost as stated in contract VOMIT/ SMOKING/ Please be advised that if anyone in the party vomits in the vehicle, there is a $400.00 cleaning fee and the reservation will be terminated. Party will be charged full price of reservation and dropped off at final destination, Ask for a vomit bag if you feel someone might need it. This will save everyone time and money. NO SMOKING ALLOWED in vehicles. There is an additional charge of $250.00 for any cleaning, beyond the routine cleaning, example: smoke smell, rice, confetti, glitter etc. These fees will be charged on the provided credit card. Please drink responsibly and advise your guests of these additional fees. ADDITIONAL CHARGES Wait Time (Airport & Point-to-Point Transfers) For airport and Amtrak arrivals, Blasian Limousine and Transportation | B.E.S.T Transportation | Blasian Executive Secured Transport Inc offers a 30-minute grace period from the updated arrival time. Thereafter, wait time will be charged at $15 for each additional 10 minute period. For all other transfers, a 10-minute grace period will be granted, thereafter, wait time will be charged at $15 for each additional 10 minute period. Wait time past 30 minutes will revert the trip to hourly minimum pricing. Stops (Airport & Point-to-Point Transfers) Extra stops, including extra airline stops are charged a minimum $15 per “en-route” stop and include a maximum 10 minute wait period at the stop. Additional wait time is charged at the prevailing hourly rate in quarter hour increments. Admin/Licensing Fee – Surface Transportation Charge A 12% Administrative Fee (formerly known as Surface Transportation Charge (STC) for miscellaneous licensing, insurance and administrative expense calculated on the base fare, stop charges and wait time, will be added to your bill. Meet & Greet Services The charge for an individual airport meet & greet at PHX and AZA is a ($20 Sedan and SUV) and ($40 for Vans). On request, meet & greet services will be charged at $45 per hour with a 4 hour minimum per greeter. Meet & Greet services in other cities will vary by location. Holiday & Off-Hour Surcharge (charges vary in markets outside of immediate metro Phoenix and City area) A 20% surcharge added to the base fare on transfers, will be charged to your bill on the following holidays and during the hours of 10:00pm and – 4:00am: New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and Christmas & New Year’s Eve after 5:00 P.M. Premium hourly rates also apply on these holidays as well as during other premium events and dates Staff Accommodations On occasions that require overnight travel for chauffeurs, onsite coordinators or other client-dedicated staff, lodging and meals should be arranged and provided for by the client. A per diem may be applied in addition to lodging expense. Child Seat Rental CHILD SEAT RENTAL provided by Blasian will be billed at $15.00 each above and beyond the transfer rate.
