What's New for 2022?

The Voyager goes fleet-only for 2022, meaning it's no longer offered for sale to the general public. The base L trim has been dropped, leaving the LX as the only option. The van gains the new Uconnect 5 infotainment system, Stow 'n Go second row seats, power sliding rear doors, a power-operated rear liftgate, a new in-cabin air filtration system, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel all as standard. A Safety and Premium Group package adds blind spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, in-dash navigation, a larger 10.1-inch infotainment display, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Silver Mist is now an available exterior color.

Pricing and Which One to Buy

The price of the 2022 Chrysler Voyager starts at $33,610.

While you'll need to be a fleet customer to order it, the Voyager's value-oriented packaging offers plenty of equipment as standard. Those features include automatic headlamps, aluminum wheels, three-zone manual climate control, and a lot more.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

Mechanically, the Voyager is identical to the Pacifica, using the same 287-hp 3.6-liter V-6 engine and nine-speed automatic transmission to drive the front wheels. In our testing, the Pacifica managed a 7.3-second sprint to 60 mph. Given this van forgoes some of the features that weigh down its brother, the Voyager likely weighs less than the Pacifica and thus has the potential to beat that time. Don't hold your breath for a hybrid. Chrysler will reserve that powertrain for the pricier minivan in its lineup.

Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG

We haven't had the opportunity to test the Voyager on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy loop, but for reference, the last nonhybrid Pacifica we tested achieved 31 mpg. The Chrysler vans both earn EPA estimates of 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The Voyager's 22 mpg combined score matches that of the Carnival and Odyssey, both chief competitors. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

As with the exterior styling, powertrain, and chassis, the Voyager's interior mimics that of the Pacifica, albeit with fewer creature comforts. You won't find leather seats, automatic climate control, or rear-seat entertainment here, but the Voyager provides the same Stow 'n Go capability that makes the Pacifica so versatile. Behind the third row, the Voyager boasts the same 32 cubic feet of cargo volume as the Pacifica. So, while we have yet to put this van through our practical space tests, we feel safe saying that the Voyager will be able accommodate what its brother could (i.e., 12 carry-on suitcases with the rear seats up).

Infotainment and Connectivity

Chrysler provides a 3.5-inch digital display in the gauge cluster, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the center stack, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and a six-speaker audio system with active noise cancellation. Bluetooth streaming and integrated voice control are also included but in-dash navigation, a larger 10.1-inch infotainment display, and SiriusXM radio are optional.

Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

Looking for driver-assistance features ? You won't find many in the Voyager and nothing of the like is offered as standard. For more information about the Voyager's crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration ( NHTSA ) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety ( IIHS ) websites. Key safety features include:

• Available automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection
• Available rear parking sensors with rear automated emergency braking
• Available blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert

Warranty and Maintenance Coverage

Chrysler's warranty coverage is fairly typical for the class. The Toyota Sienna offers more value here in the form of a two-year/25,000-mile complimentary scheduled maintenance plan.

2023 Chrysler Voyager - Review

2023 chrysler voyager, 2023 chrysler voyager review: no fuss, no frills.

The Chrysler Voyager name wasn't new when it reappeared in the USA after a four-year hiatus as a 2020 model; it is essentially a Pacifica with fewer features and older exterior styling and fewer features. With the starting price of the 2023 Chrysler Voyager pegged at just over $35k, only the Kia Carnival offers a cheaper entry into the minivan club. The Voyager is a simple, pared-back package without bells and whistles, focused on getting the job done with minimal fuss. There is a single LX trim in the range, and it's powered by an old-school naturally aspirated V6 gas engine with 287 horsepower. At one point, millions of minivans plied US roads, but today, they have fallen out of fashion in favor of crossovers and SUVs, so the only Voyager rivals left are the Kia Carnival, Honda Odyssey , Toyota Sienna , and the Voyager's in-house sibling, the Pacifica. Since last year, the car has only been available to fleet buyers, so the Chrysler Voyager minivan we review here isn't sold to the general public anymore.

What's the Price of the 2023 Chrysler Voyager?

The Chrysler Voyager LX's MSRP is $35,495. To put it into perspective, the cheapest Pacifica touring trim will cost nearly $2,000 more and the Kia Carnival LX just over $1,000 less. This price is exclusive of the $1,595 destination charge.

2023 Chrysler Voyager Handling and Driving Impressions

Minivans aren't built to handle like sports cars and so it proves with the Voyager. That said, it bowls along nicely, with well-damped suspension and a comfortable ride, it just doesn't offer any excitement with its lack of steering feedback, soft brake pedal, and generally top-heavy feel typical of a minivan. It will hang on gamely if you tackle a corner, but it's not made for that and feels out of sorts indulging in such antics. Settle into a cruise at the speed limit and you find what it's all about, as it can transport a full complement of passengers in comfort from point A to point B - the very reason for its existence. The engine won't set the drag strip on fire and is probably more than adequate for its intended use, being kept nicely in its usable powerband by the nine-speed automatic transmission.

Verdict: Is The 2023 Chrysler Voyager A Good Minivan?

The Voyager is probably best at what a minivan should be for the typical fleet buyer - a versatile, practical, and comfortable people mover with lots of space and few frills. The Kia Carnival, with its SUV looks and more modern design, might clinch it for a private buyer, but its small third row and fixed second-row seats will see the Chrysler pull ahead for hard-working fleet duty at an unbeatable price. Better get your order in, because soon the Voyager will be discontinued, and then you'll have to go for the more expensive Pacifica, or a rival.

What 2023 Chrysler Voyager Model Should I Buy?

There's a single trim and it's devoid of features, so we'd consider at least adding the Safety and Premium Group package to equip ours with the minimum number of driver assists that we'll need to make moving people around a little bit more stress-free and safer. Other than that, the Voyager should be left as is to make the most of its value proposition.

While the Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid plug-in electric (PHEV) tend to get most of the attention with it comes to Chrysler’s minivan lineup. However, the budget-friendly Chrysler Voyager returns for the 2023 model year once again as a fleet-only offering. In a surprising move last year , the Voyager eliminated most of its lineup for a single fleet-based LX model. The same formula continues for 2023.

Continuing to feature the older Pacifica styling, the 2023 Chrysler Voyager LX looks identical to last year’s model inside and out.

The Voyager LX comes standard with second-row Stow ‘n Go seats, power sliding doors and liftgate, an inflatable spare tire kit, and heated front-row seats with a heated steering wheel. The Voyager offers a standard 7-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen system with over-the-air (OTA) update capability, the ability to connect two phones simultaneously with Bluetooth, Amazon Alexa voice control, Uconnect Market, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with voice recognition to the fleet-oriented offering.

Available as an option is a Safety and Premium Group that offers Blind-Spot Monitoring, ParkSense Rear-Park Assist, and Rear Cross Path Detection from last year’s SafetyTec Group, but adds Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning-Plus with Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Uconnect 5 Navigation with a 10.1-inch display, GPS Navigation, Sirius XM 360L, and Sirius XM Guardian.

Powered by the award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine mated to a segment-exclusive 9-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, Voyager delivers 287 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque. The Pentastar V6 features variable-valve timing (VVT) and engine stop/start (ESS) technology, giving the Voyager an official EPA fuel economy rating of 18 MPG city / 28 MPG hwy.

When it comes to color options, the fleet customers will be able to choose from 5 different colors including the all-new Silver Mist (PSE) paint color. The other four colors consist of Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat (PXR), Bright White Clear Coat (PW7), Granite Crystal Metallic Coat (PAU), and Velvet Red Pearl Coat (PRV).

The 2023 Chrysler Voyager is built at the Windsor Assembly Plant  in Windsor, Ontario. Pricing has yet to be released to fleet accounts.

Bought and sold

After checking all around for a lightly used Honda or Toyota minivan, I settled on CarMax since they had the ability to transfer several possible cars from nearby stores. I requested a transfer from Birmingham and it arrived earlier than promised. I test drove it, waited a week to make a final decision and made the purchase. The whole transaction was done professionally and without any extra sales pressure or tactics. This is the 2nd car in the last 6 years I've bought from CarMax and I'd certainly shop them again.

Great experience -no hard sell

We bought a 2018 Toyota Sienna in December 2019 at this location and have driven it ~$2k miles. We tried Hertz Rent2Buy and had a poor experience. After returning that car we looked at vans for sale and found a couple of options at Hertz Mesquite location. Here is what i liked: 1. No hard sell but no negotiation. The only upsell was warranty which i declined. 2. Sales people are not commission based on sale price (flat fee) 3. Cars were clean and reconditioned. The process was not high pressure 4. 7 day return policy - i was able to have the car looked at by the mechanic after purchasing the vehicle. What i didnt like too much 1. The facility is old and small. They havent invested in a nice showroom like dealership but maybe that helps them sell cars cheaper than dealership 2. Cars are rental returns so they have been driven by lots of drivers. However, we thought we were safe with the minivan and who would rent a minivan to drive it hard Its a great stress free way of purchasing cars.

Good deals, easy and relatively fast transaction

Mark was my salesperson. He was knowledgeable and did not give me the "car salesman" feeling. He listens and pays attention to your remarks. I was very satisfied with the buying experience. Hertz gives great deals on those used cars, I did not even negotiate. The facility is comfortable but looks like a trailer with AC that does not need to be blasting! While the finance guy (bought my car cash) was very nice and courteous, the buying process could be shorter. Although this is not due to Hertz's financial service, but to the number of documents we have to sign. I have to point out that it was much faster at Hertz than at my previous dealership. I just purchased my second vehicle from Harbor Nissan and have been using their service department for many years. The entire staff is always friendly, courteous and efficient. Service is always outstanding. I highly recommend Harbor for sales and service.

Good, but did not buy

We did not buy from them. The one year old car with 30,000+ miles on it was priced above the norm, even by Kelley Blue Book standards. No negotiations available. So didn't buy. Nothing more. I'd recommend people to try, it doesn't hurt. But just be weary, you lose 3 years worth of manufacturer warranty, in just one year. Buying process, quality of repairs, facilities rated 3's, because it wouldn't submit as "n/a". So these are not a true rating. Wanted to rate "n/a".

new truck purchase and service

I took a chance and drove 2.5 hours to purchase a new truck and I am glad I did! my salesperson (Ross Schambon) was extremely helpful and gave me a great deal on my trade in. He helped me get the payment I needed and the truck I wanted, can't ask for more than that. I had such a great experience with my purchase that when I put a new bumper on I traveled there to get it done. Ross was right there to make sure it was done properly and I was treated fairly. The service dept. went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I was satisfied. I would definitely recommend Ross and Don Franklin to everyone.

Drove 400 miles to work with people with integrity. All the associates at Hertz Car Sales Stockton are great people, truly care about the customer experience not just making the most profitable deal. This year in the City of Moscow, three City Council seats and school board seats for Zones 1, 3, and 4, are up for election. For the city council race, the winners will be whichever candidates receive the top three sets of votes , while the school board trustees will be decided based on who gets the most votes in their respective districts.

Voter Registration Info

Early voting starts Oct 25th, and runs through November 3rd. During this period, citizens can go to the Latah County Courthouse between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and vote. Otherwise, election day is on November 7th, at which time citizens will need to go to their respective precincts to vote ( Precinct Map ), based on their residential address.

If your permanent residence is here in Moscow, Latah County, Idaho:

To register to vote online (voteidaho.gov) or at the Latah County clerk’s office or at the polls, you must be a citizen of the United States, 18 years of age, a resident of Idaho and your county for 30 days prior to the election. To prove this, you must provide:

• Idaho-issued identification card or Idaho driver’s license or current US passport
• One approved proof of residence document

Any of the above photo identification with correct residence address:

• Lease or rental agreement
• Utility bill (excluding cellular telephone bill)
• Bank or credit card statement
• Paystub, paycheck, government-issued check
• For students: Enrollment papers from current school year.

Is your address current on it?

If not please update your address online at dmvonline.itd.idaho.gov/   Or in person at Latah County DMV, 1313 S. Blaine Street, Moscow, ID 83843. (No need to pay the $20 new-card fee. The address will be corrected in the state’s system.) 

No, I do not have an Idaho state-issued photo identification card (or driver’s license) . 

Follow the Idaho DMV rules for a driver’s license. Or apply for an Idaho photo identification card:

Bring 1 or 2 (2 will allow you to get a Star Card for travel purposes) of these original documents proving residency that are less than a year old in your current name with current address to the DMV:

• Lease, rental agreement, mortgage, or deed
• Account statement from one or two different utilities (no ¾ page or cell phone bills)
• Account statement from a bank or financial institution
• Medical or insurance provider statement, invoice, or explanation of benefits
• Pay stub or employment verification (it must list your legal name.)
• Idaho school enrollment records with current address (college IDs are not accepted)
• Residency affidavit signed by an adult over age 18
• Vehicle, homeowner’s, or renter’s liability information.
• And bring your birth certificate and social security card .

Have you been recently married and need to update your name on your Idaho state-issued photo identification card (or driver’s license)?

First, change your name on your social security card by taking to Lewiston Social Security Office:

• Maiden name social security card
• Marriage certificate (not the gold-seal version, but the certified copy)
• Must have State File Number, Groom, Bride, and Family ( maiden ) Name completed
• Birth certificate (recorded copy, not the keepsake copy)
• Maiden name state-issued photo identification card (or driver’s license).

Then, change your name on your Idaho state-issued photo identification card (or driver’s license) at the Latah County DMV, 1313 S. Blaine Street, Moscow, ID 83843.

I was recently married, but I do not have ANY valid photo identification card

• Follow the Idaho DMV rules for a driver’s license. 

Or apply for an Idaho state-issued photo identification card (see steps above). Wait for the plastic one to arrive in the mail. 

2. Change your name on your social security card by taking to Lewiston:

• New Idaho state-issued photo identification card (or driver’s license).

3.  Wait 24-48 hours. Then return to DMV in person for your state-issued photo identification card (or driver’s license).

There is a new, free Idaho voting identification card option for people who do not drive. This program began in July 2023, so there is not much information available on it. 

The signed affidavit is only to be used if the properly registered voter comes to the polls without a picture identification, and his verbally given address matches the roster. If the addresses do not match, the person must re-register to vote (must go and get the photo identification and proof of address).

As a student , where should I register to vote?

From the Idaho Secretary of State’s website :

“College students must establish, as with all other voter registration applicants, that the locale within which they seek to register and vote is their domicile i.e. that they are living in the college community with the intention of abandoning their former domicile and with the intention of remaining permanently, or for an indefinite length of time, in the new location. Some of the factors which may be relevant in determining whether domicile has been established for voting purposes by a student as well as any other applicant, are as follows:

• Has the applicant registered to vote elsewhere?
• Where does the applicant maintain his checking and saving accounts, if any?
• Where does the applicant pay taxes, and what address did he list as his residence on his last income tax return?
• What is the residence listed on the applicant’s driver’s license?
• If the applicant owns an automobile, where is it registered?
• Does the applicant live year round at his claimed domicile, or does he divide it elsewhere? If it is divided, how much time is spent elsewhere and for what reason?

As a student, you should not be registering and voting in your college locale simply because you failed to register and vote at your true domicile. Registering to vote is a serious matter which should only be done after proper reflection. It should be noted that there is no federal right to vote anywhere in the United States for the office of President. State laws control registration and voting and State residency requirements must be met.”

“We need and want all students to vote at their legal domicile.”

If your permanent residence is in another state, contact your home state’s election division to register and vote (absentee?) there.
