The Grand Aviary is the highlight of this attraction and the best place for keen birdwatchers. Furthermore, the park has adopted several eco-friendly and sustainable technologies, like harnessing solar energy to power its facilities and electric vehicles.

Other efforts include repurposing food and animal waste for use as fertiliser. Several recycling bins are placed throughout the facility for visitors to use. The park also makes efforts to protect endangered species through extensive scientific research.

Dubai Municipality launches Summer Pass, Ultimate Safari Tour package at ATM

Dubai_Safari_Park_announced_a_super-exclusive_Summer_Pass_ticket__launched_for_the_first_time_to_the_general_public-1715007119917

Dubai: For the first time, Dubai Safari Park will remain open during summer and limited number of guests will be able to visit the Park with a newly launched special summer pass.

Dubai Municipality, which owns and operates the emirate’s wildlife conservation centre, announced this on the opening day of Arabian Travel Market 2024 (ATM) on Monday.

Ahmed Ibrahim AlZarouni, head of Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department at Dubai Municipality, said the super-exclusive Summer Pass will operate in the non-seasonal months from June to September, featuring three bespoke experiences: Summer Tours, Summer Safari Journey, and Walk in The Wild.

Dubai_Safari_Park-1715007121433

With limited daily batches of tickets available to small groups of up to 10 people, the Summer Pass has been specially designed around the animals’ summer feeding and sleeping patterns, in alignment with Dubai Safari Park’s commitment to animal welfare.

2-hour tours

The two-hour Summer Tours are private experiences hosted twice daily, with morning and evening options, the Summer Tours include the park’s much-loved Safari experiences as well as numerous different animal encounters.

The innovative Summer Safari Journey elevates the safari experience by providing two safari adventures in a private, air-conditioned vehicle accommodating up to 10 guests. For those seeking up-close encounters with wildlife, the all-new “Walk in The Wild” tour presents a 90-minute guided tour in the early morning. Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature, observe animals in their natural habitats, capture memorable photos and more.

Ultimate Safari Tour

After achieving 755 per cent year-on-year growth in travel trade sales in 2023, Dubai Safari Park has also launched a new trade-exclusive package to accelerate industry partnerships and boost visitation.

Unveiled at ATM, the Ultimate Safari Tour represents a landmark industry collaboration milestone for Dubai Safari Park as its first-ever ATM exclusive package for travel trade professionals.

Conceived to leverage surging travel trade sales and accelerate new partnerships, the B2B product aims to familiarise travel sector representatives with the 3,000-plus community of animals occupying six themed zones across the 119-hectare site.

Dubai_Safari_Park_is_home_to_3,000-plus_community_of_animals_occupying_six_themed_zones-1715007118002

Available for reservations until May 15 this year, the Ultimate Safari Tour is redeemable through the end of May 2025. The product includes two Safari experiences with a private guide, exclusive use of a VIP electric vehicle for six hours, fast-track access, reserved seating at live presentations, five animal encounters, a souvenir photo, and more.

“Ahead of reconnecting with our local and international travel trade partners at Arabian Travel Market, we spent months canvassing industry stakeholders to create our first customised travel trade product. In celebrating our triple-digit year-on-year growth in travel trade sales milestone, we understand the importance of looking forward. Our goal is to strengthen existing travel trade partnerships and forge new collaborations that widen awareness of the Park’s core value propositions of entertainment, education, and animal welfare,” said AlZarouni.

Industry insights

Al Zarouni will participate in a panel discussion entitled ‘Experience, Culture and Communities: Creating Better Propositions for Experiential Travellers’ alongside other industry leaders on May 7. Taking place on ATM 2024’s Future Stage from 10-10.40am, the session will highlight how tourism businesses, attractions, and destinations must focus on authentic experiences, creative journeys, and cultural immersions to optimise returns.

At ATM, Dubai Safari Park’s immersive and interactive stand features augmented reality activities, a Safari Bus experience and virtual animal selfie spots featuring some of the park’s 3,000-plus animals, as well as educational presentations with live animals.

Summer_Pass_has_been_specially_designed_around_the_animals’_summer_feeding_and_sleeping_patterns-1715007123060

Home to over 3000 animals and 300 different species, Dubai Safari Park encompasses six zones: Al Wadi, African Village, Explorer Village, Arabian Desert Safari, Asian Village and Kids’ Farm. The 119-hectare park also hosts daily educational presentations at scheduled times throughout the day.

Dubai Safari Park also undertakes a wide range of welfare and conservation strategies to help animals and native fauna thrive, and regularly hosts educational and research projects as part of the park’s core values. The park also contributes to the conservation of endangered and vulnerable species through international breeding programmes and external rescue missions, while numerous innovative technologies are integrated into the Park’s physical infrastructure to ensure animals are comfortable throughout the year.

The full list of additional Dubai Safari Park packages including King of Safari, Behind the Scenes, Jungle Capture, and Dine in the Wild, can be found on the park’s website.

Arabian Village

You will be delighted with the overwhelming assortment of flora and fauna on view if you move through this village’s sandy deserts, rocky mountains, and lush wild pasture. Take care of the cats, antelopes, and nilgais that live here. Important species like bears, nylghais, and antelopes live here in Arabia. It is inspiring to see this village. You will be surprised by scenes when you drive through the green regions of the mountains and the desert with a wide variety of fauna and flora.

African Village

african village dubai

The African Village provides an authentic experience of the African landscape accompanied by baobab trees and the conventional constructs of mouth. Here, you will encounter several African-born snakes, chimpanzees, monkeys, and elephants. A large selection of snacks and other reptiles from all over Africa is displayed in the reptile building. The African Village also has the most prominent aviary display in the UAE. The African Village, the home of many exotic animal species, such as magnificent white lions and African giraffes, is also an outstanding destination in Safari park! Attraction in the Park is the pachyderms. The guides point the animals out as you walk through the village, making the trip more enjoyable. Don’t miss your first visit to the reptile building.

The African Village, one of the most exotic animals on the continent, is unsurprisingly one of the points of interest in the Dubai Safari Park. African wild dogs, giant tortoises, chimpanzees, and royal white lions have been discovered in the village separated into African Savannah and Rainforest.

Asian Village

This is the Dubai Safari Park tree-based segment. Komodo dragons remain in this village forever. In this area of the Park, there are a variety of birds and reptiles. The Asian Village houses common native species of Eastern Europe, ranging from tigers to gibbons and moon bears. Visitors from the manuals and specialist guides of the Park will learn fascinating things about animals. kids farm dubai photos

A specially-cured Children’s Farm is another draw in the Dubai Safari Park, where young children can learn about traditional farms such as chickens, goats, and sheep. We are sure your children will love learning to know nature and how to ride the pony and meet the animals. In addition to the farm, the giraffe feeding, Grand Vary, and Kids play games are other child-friendly attractions on the safari park.

Safari Village

This is Dubai Safari Park’s most popular and famous village. It’s also Dubai Safari Park’s most famous section. Visiting the Dubai Safari Park without looking at Safari Village is pointless. Safari’s beauty means bringing people to African and Asian wildlife as near as possible. The bus helps to take tourists to the animal-filled forest. These cars are designed primarily for comfort and safety purposes. You will find Zebras, Cheetas, Water Buffalo, or Deer on your bus ride.

Safari Village offers the chance to see tigers which is inappropriate if a tourist is on a safari trip and does not see any lions. The waterfalls running on solar energy can be seen in this section. These are falls of water artificially formed. Following this segment, the live view of crocodiles is to be viewed. It is the most deadly predator on earth to push through the crocodile. Crossing the display, Crocodile is one of the safari village’s most loved items.

Wadi Village

explorer village dubai safari park

Wadi village is a vast leisure place. After a long safari, tourist needs are considered in the region. You can sit and relax in this area. The world is luxuriantly green with fish ponds where fish or waterfalls can be watched. The Wadi Village is a vast leisure area where you can relax after the safari trip and enjoy your family and friends. In this valley, which was built to create a network of water streams and fishing ponds, the Municipality of Dubai successfully introduced its green initiatives. Al Wadi has many cafes and cafés for a tireless day. The Wadi area includes restaurants and food you feel a little picky about.

Dubai Park and Zoo

Dubai Safari Park is a substitute for the Dubai Zoo in Jumeirah (50.05 years old) which shut its doors a month away. In the past, wild species were kept like animals. Some have been caught or injured by poachers. This wildlife park’s most significant draw was preserved for the last time. The first crocodile show and the exhibit took us on an air-conditioned bus to tour around the country. We saw wolves, tigers, and a baboon troop on our journey.

The Dubai Safari Park has introduced a special summer pass ticket and for the first time the facility will remain open to public during the summer months. This was revealed by the Dubai Municipality on the opening day of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) on Monday.

“Last year we trialled this experience and studied the sleeping and feeding patterns of our animals,” said Ahmed Ibrahim AlZarouni, Head of Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department at Dubai Municipality.

“It was a success last year, so this year we wanted to open it to public. We wanted to choose the best time of the day for the animals to come out without being affected by the heat. Based on that, we are opening just limited daily batches of tickets available to small groups of up to 10 people.”

Stay up to date with the latest news. Follow KT on WhatsApp Channels.

The summer pass will operate in the non-seasonal months from June to September, featuring three experiences- Summer Tours, Summer Safari Journey, and Walk In The Wild. The tours are a two-hour private experience hosted once in the morning and evening. It includes the safari experience as well as different animal encounters.

The Safari Journey offers two adventures in a private, air-conditioned vehicle accommodating up to 10 guests. It is the 90-minute guided Walk in the Wild tour that will give thrill-seekers the opportunity to have an up-close encounter with wildlife in the early morning. Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature, observe animals in their natural habitats and capture memorable photos.

Soaring visitor numbers

Home to over 3,000 animals and 300 different species, Dubai Safari Park has seen a huge surge in visitor and sales number. During 2023, the park witnessed 755 per cent growth in travel trade sales.

Encompasses six zones- Al Wadi, African Village, Explorer Village, Arabian Desert Safari, Asian Village and Kids’ Farm- the 119 hectare park also hosts daily educational presentations at scheduled times throughout the day.

Dubai Safari Park also undertakes a wide range of welfare and conservation strategies to help animals and native fauna thrive. The park also contributes to the conservation of endangered and vulnerable species through international breeding programmes and external rescue missions, while numerous innovative technologies are integrated into the Park’s physical infrastructure to ensure animals are comfortable throughout the year.

Animals' comfort

According to Ahmed, a lot goes into making sure that the animals stay comfortable throughout the year. “Our animals come from all over the world from various habitats, temperatures and parts of the world,” said Ahmed. “We try to recreate that here. Their areas are temperature controlled and specifically designed to make sure they have everything they may need to stay comfortable.”

He gave the example of the elephants in the park. “We have built a huge pool built for them to play around in,” he said. “They need the mud to play in so this pool mimics the actual animal habitat.”

  • Evening : Witness the desert ignite in fiery hues! Dune bashing, starlit feasts, and cultural performances transport you to a bygone era. Most activities have a vibrant atmosphere but consider peak-season crowds.
  • Overnight : Ultimate immersion under a canopy of stars. Sleep to the desert's lullaby, wake to a sunrise symphony and savor campfire stories. Premium experience with unparalleled solitude, but remember, the desert beckons an investment.

While some aspects like private dining or extended adventures might cost more, your heritage desert safari is a timeless tapestry woven with Bedouin traditions, regardless of the time you choose.

Heritage Safari Dubai tickets

Heritage safaris are a slow burn, a deep dive into the soul of Dubai's dunes. There are no cookie-cutter experiences here. Instead, imagine camel caravans tracing ancient paths, Bedouin stories whispered under starlit skies, and the scent of freshly brewed Arabic coffee warming your hands.

  • Bedouin whispers: Trade tourist traps for genuine Bedouin traditions. Camel caravans, coffee rituals under starry skies, intricate henna designs – every moment whispers ancient stories.
  • Comfort under canvas: Ditch the crowds and embrace luxury. Private desert camps, plush cushions, and gourmet meals cooked over crackling fires are where comfort meets adventure.
  • Falconry's silent dance: Witness the awe-inspiring power of falcons soaring against the endless sky. More than just a show, it's a glimpse into a timeless partnership between man and bird.
  • Firelight and forgotten tales: As flames flicker, hear Bedouin stories whispered through generations. These aren't just campfire yarns; they're threads woven into the fabric of the desert itself.

The heritage desert safari starts from AED 135 but goes up to AED 2000, depending on the luxury and comfort you want in this culturally immersive experience. Sure, it's not the cheapest way to experience the desert, but it's far from ordinary. It's an investment in memories that linger long after the sand settles.
