Built especially for families with kids aged 2-12, this interactive water theme park is the place to be for an extremely fun outing with no boundaries. As is obvious by the name, LEGO® rules here and you’ll find 20 LEGO® themed attractions like the Joker Soaker, DIY LEGO® build-a-raft, DUPLO® toddler play area, LEGO® Wave Pool, and more. Make sure you visit each ride, slide, and entertainment stop because you won’t want to miss out on anything.

Spanning a massive 119 hectares, the Dubai Safari Park has 2,500 animals and aims to increase this number including 350 species of endangered animals. Divided into different habitat zones – such as the Arabian Desert Safari, African Village, Asian Village, and Al Wadi – gives the park its high-quality and unique immersive atmosphere. The park is home to lions, elephants, cheetahs, tigers, bears, crocodiles, baboons, and more. From interactive activities to kid’s activities to exhibits – the Dubai Safari Park will delight and educate at the same time.

When you arrive at the park, we suggest that you pick up a map to check the daily entertainment schedule so you can plan out your day in the best way.

A nominal fee will be charged at the entrance of the water park for children under 3 which includes 2 swimming diapers.

The park follows Covid safety measures like disinfection of surfaces and door handles, sanitization of vehicles, placement of sanitizer stands throughout the park with the availability of disposable masks.

Park vehicles, indoor attractions, and closed facilities have limited capacity.

Social distancing of 2 meters between people and use of masks are ensured.

The Dubai Safari Park location is Al Warqaa . This wildlife facility houses almost 3,000 animal species, including birds, carnivores, reptiles, primates, invertebrates and amphibians. The venue is also home to the African elephants, the world’s largest land mammal.

The Safari Journey at the Explorer Village is the main zone attraction. Another attraction in Dubai Safari Park Al Warqa is the specially curated Kids Farm, a fun-filled combination of a farm and a petting zoo. In the Kids Farm – Dubai Safari Park, the little ones learn about traditional farm animals like chickens, goats and sheep. Kids can connect with nature, learn how to ride ponies and visit the bird aviary.

Wadi, or the Valley area, is where you can host a picnic or grab a quick bite from the restaurants inside Dubai Safari Park. Both restaurants overlook the river. So, you can watch ducks, peacocks, swans and even pelicans while enjoying your food!

How to go to Dubai Safari Park by metro

For those who don’t have a car, the easiest way to get to Safari Park by public transportation is to take the Dubai Metro to the Creek Metro Station on the Green Line. From there you would need to take a taxi. The taxi ride from the Creek Metro to Dubai Safari Park is about 16 minutes.

Where is Dubai Safari Park located ?

It is located in Al Warqa’a 5 and is approximately a 12-minute drive from International City . You can easily access the park via Al Awir/ Ras Al Khor Road or Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street (D54). The park isn’t far for those living in villas for rent in Mirdif or flats for rent in Al Warqaa .

What should I wear during the visit?

Guests must dress respectfully. Comfortable clothing should cover your shoulders and knees.

Pets, bicycles, scooters, skateboards and roller skates are not allowed. Also, avoid bringing balloons, balls or toy guns as they cause stress to animals.

What happened to the Dubai Zoo?

How much the ticket

Hi Ferose, is there any particular ticket you are looking for? There is a combo ticket allowing you access to the whole park for AED 85 (AED30 for children) and a Dubai Safari Park ticket for AED 50 (AED 20 for children) which allows you entry to all the villages excluding the Safari Village. We would recommend that you look at the Dubai Safari Park website for the latest information and choose the ticket that best suits you.

Dubai Municipality launches Summer Pass, Ultimate Safari Tour package at ATM

Dubai: For the first time, Dubai Safari Park will remain open during summer and limited number of guests will be able to visit the Park with a newly launched special summer pass.

Dubai Municipality, which owns and operates the emirate’s wildlife conservation centre, announced this on the opening day of Arabian Travel Market 2024 (ATM) on Monday.

Ahmed Ibrahim AlZarouni, head of Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department at Dubai Municipality, said the super-exclusive Summer Pass will operate in the non-seasonal months from June to September, featuring three bespoke experiences: Summer Tours, Summer Safari Journey, and Walk in The Wild.

With limited daily batches of tickets available to small groups of up to 10 people, the Summer Pass has been specially designed around the animals’ summer feeding and sleeping patterns, in alignment with Dubai Safari Park’s commitment to animal welfare.

2-hour tours

The two-hour Summer Tours are private experiences hosted twice daily, with morning and evening options, the Summer Tours include the park’s much-loved Safari experiences as well as numerous different animal encounters.

The innovative Summer Safari Journey elevates the safari experience by providing two safari adventures in a private, air-conditioned vehicle accommodating up to 10 guests. For those seeking up-close encounters with wildlife, the all-new “Walk in The Wild” tour presents a 90-minute guided tour in the early morning. Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature, observe animals in their natural habitats, capture memorable photos and more.

Ultimate Safari Tour

After achieving 755 per cent year-on-year growth in travel trade sales in 2023, Dubai Safari Park has also launched a new trade-exclusive package to accelerate industry partnerships and boost visitation.

Unveiled at ATM, the Ultimate Safari Tour represents a landmark industry collaboration milestone for Dubai Safari Park as its first-ever ATM exclusive package for travel trade professionals.

Conceived to leverage surging travel trade sales and accelerate new partnerships, the B2B product aims to familiarise travel sector representatives with the 3,000-plus community of animals occupying six themed zones across the 119-hectare site.

Available for reservations until May 15 this year, the Ultimate Safari Tour is redeemable through the end of May 2025. The product includes two Safari experiences with a private guide, exclusive use of a VIP electric vehicle for six hours, fast-track access, reserved seating at live presentations, five animal encounters, a souvenir photo, and more.

Al Zarouni will participate in a panel discussion entitled ‘Experience, Culture and Communities: Creating Better Propositions for Experiential Travellers’ alongside other industry leaders on May 7. Taking place on ATM 2024’s Future Stage from 10-10.40am, the session will highlight how tourism businesses, attractions, and destinations must focus on authentic experiences, creative journeys, and cultural immersions to optimise returns.

At ATM, Dubai Safari Park’s immersive and interactive stand features augmented reality activities, a Safari Bus experience and virtual animal selfie spots featuring some of the park’s 3,000-plus animals, as well as educational presentations with live animals.

Home to over 3000 animals and 300 different species, Dubai Safari Park encompasses six zones: Al Wadi, African Village, Explorer Village, Arabian Desert Safari, Asian Village and Kids’ Farm. The 119-hectare park also hosts daily educational presentations at scheduled times throughout the day.

Safari Park Opening

The Dubai Safari Park has introduced a special summer pass ticket and for the first time the facility will remain open to public during the summer months. This was revealed by the Dubai Municipality on the opening day of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) on Monday.

“Last year we trialled this experience and studied the sleeping and feeding patterns of our animals,” said Ahmed Ibrahim AlZarouni, Head of Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department at Dubai Municipality.

“It was a success last year, so this year we wanted to open it to public. We wanted to choose the best time of the day for the animals to come out without being affected by the heat. Based on that, we are opening just limited daily batches of tickets available to small groups of up to 10 people.”

The summer pass will operate in the non-seasonal months from June to September, featuring three experiences- Summer Tours, Summer Safari Journey, and Walk In The Wild. The tours are a two-hour private experience hosted once in the morning and evening. It includes the safari experience as well as different animal encounters.

The Safari Journey offers two adventures in a private, air-conditioned vehicle accommodating up to 10 guests. It is the 90-minute guided Walk in the Wild tour that will give thrill-seekers the opportunity to have an up-close encounter with wildlife in the early morning. Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature, observe animals in their natural habitats and capture memorable photos.

Soaring visitor numbers

Home to over 3,000 animals and 300 different species, Dubai Safari Park has seen a huge surge in visitor and sales number. During 2023, the park witnessed 755 per cent growth in travel trade sales.

Encompasses six zones- Al Wadi, African Village, Explorer Village, Arabian Desert Safari, Asian Village and Kids’ Farm- the 119 hectare park also hosts daily educational presentations at scheduled times throughout the day.

Dubai Safari Park also undertakes a wide range of welfare and conservation strategies to help animals and native fauna thrive. The park also contributes to the conservation of endangered and vulnerable species through international breeding programmes and external rescue missions, while numerous innovative technologies are integrated into the Park’s physical infrastructure to ensure animals are comfortable throughout the year.

Animals' comfort

According to Ahmed, a lot goes into making sure that the animals stay comfortable throughout the year. “Our animals come from all over the world from various habitats, temperatures and parts of the world,” said Ahmed. “We try to recreate that here. Their areas are temperature controlled and specifically designed to make sure they have everything they may need to stay comfortable.”

He gave the example of the elephants in the park. “We have built a huge pool built for them to play around in,” he said. “They need the mud to play in so this pool mimics the actual animal habitat.”

The best way to get to Dubai Safari Park is to drive up to the location. There is plenty of parking space available at the park, all of it completely free of cost. There are also charging points available if you’re traveling in a green vehicle.

Getting to Dubai Safari Park

This is the best and the easiest way to get to the park. You can simply input your destination as Dubai Safari Park and you should be able to reach the park without any issues. 

There are two gates at the park. Gate 1 allows you to enter the park through Ras Al Khor Road and is slightly ahead and on the opposite side of Dragon Mart. Gate 2 allows you entry through Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street. Gate 1 is more easily accessible.

If you don’t have your own car, we’d suggest that you take a taxi to arrive right in front of the park. They’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and also function on controlled meters. You can get more details on Dubai taxis on the RTA website.

Parking Near Dubai Safari Park

There are three parking areas near the Dubai Safari Park. 

P1 is the VIP parking lot and is the closest to the main entrance of the park. It has 540 covered parking spaces and 2 electric charging points for green vehicles.

P2 has 740 parking spaces and is a 5-minute walk from the main entrance.

P3 has 1700 parking spaces but is the farthest from the main entrance. However, you can avail a shuttle service that will take you to the main entrance free of charge upon availability.

Directions to Dubai Safari Park

• From Downtown Dubai, get onto Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard. Head towards the Financial Center Road and then turn right to get onto Financial Center Road. 
• Continue straight for about 2 km and then keep left at the Y junction and head towards Nad Al Sheba or E44. 
• Keep left and continue straight on E44 for about 16.5 km until you reach the roundabout. Take the complete circle around the roundabout and take the fourth exit. Go straight for 1 km until you reach Dubai Safari Park.

• Head northwest on 49 C Street and turn right onto Al Khawaneej or D89. Then take the ramp on the left onto Airport Road or D89. 
• Continue on Airport road for about 6.8 km and then merge onto the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road or E311. Continue for another 6.8 km until you reach the roundabout. 
• Take the first exit on the roundabout onto Al Awir Road or E44. Continue for about 1 km and then take a slight right to arrive at Gate 1 at Dubai Safari Park.

Transfers to the Dubai desert can be a problem due to its far-off location. But you don’t need to worry, we have got you covered. We offer round-trip transfers in an AC vehicle to all the desert safari locations. You can choose between 2 options for pick-up:

• Direct pick up: With this option, we will directly pick you up from a hotel in Dubai. The driver will arrive at the hotel upon the decided time and date and will drop you back at the hotel after the safari.
• Meeting point : With this option, we will pick you up from one of many common pick-up points in Dubai. You will be required to choose the pick-up location near you and the driver will pick you. After the safari, the driver will drop you back at the meeting point.

Morning safari : Dress for comfort and adventure in loose-fitting, natural fabrics like cotton or linen. Protect yourself from the sun with a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
