Enjoying rapid success he went on to top the charts for the first time in 1967, and he never looked back. Engelbert has sold over 150 million records worldwide, received four Grammy nominations, a Golden Globe for Entertainer of the Year, 63 gold and 24 platinum records and is one of only a handful of artists with a star on both the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Las Vegas Walk of Fame. To this day, Engelbert has remained a global star, and he was appointed an MBE in 2021 Birthday Honours List.

Full table service is not available, food or drinks are ordered from the service counter. However, food and drinks can be brought to the table. 

There is not a lowered section at the counter.

No tables are permanently fixed. No chairs are permanently fixed. Some chairs have armrests.

Drinking straws are available.

Menus are hand held and wall mounted. Menus are not available in Braille. Menus are not available in large print. Picture menus are not available.

At times, Glasgow Life will be on the premises to film and take photos. 

The public are only permitted to record and take photos where explicit permission has been granted in advance. 

Yes, there is free public Wifi access. To connect, visitors have to register with the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall Public Wifi which should pop up on their browser. After that visitors will only need their password for future uses.

Engelbert Humperdinck Announces “The Last Waltz” Farewell Tour

Engelbert Humperdinck  will take his last dance in May 2024 and play shows in all major capital cities.  The British icon will perform a set chock-full with greatest hits and crowd favourites. 

Engelbert  boasts a career spanning over 50 years and with sales in excess of 140 million records, including 65 gold albums and 35 platinum, four Grammy nominations, a Golden Globe, and stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Las Vegas Walk of Fame, and Leicester Walk of Fame,

Hehas performed for the Queen four times, several presidents, and many heads of state. He has recorded everything from the most romantic ballads to movie theme songs, disco, rock, and even gospel. His unique voice has charmed millions of fans around the globe. 

However, it’s not just the voice, but the man himself, with his endearing sense of humour and self-deprecating jokes.  Engelbert  has managed to strike a new chord with the younger generation, and his YouTube music videos & social media numbers are at new heights. 

Engelbert  exploded on to the music scene with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. The shy handsome man catapulted almost instantly to world icon. He became great friends with Elvis and the two legends often performed each other’s songs. His first single in the charts was ‘Release Me,’ which went into the Guinness Book of Records for achieving 56 consecutive weeks on the charts. It was No. 1 in 11 countries. The following decades see  Engelbert  constantly touring the world to sell-out crowds. He takes great pleasure in every moment on stage. 

His music has transcended time, and his voice continues to reach out to people now – serving to transport and inspire, to embrace and to provoke feelings and emotions…ingredients that are no doubt the essence of his long-lasting success.

Engelbert’s  hit song ‘A Man Without Love’ was featured in Marvel’s ‘Moon Knight’ Disney+ Series. In Sony Pictures’ new Brad Pitt film ‘Bullet Train’  Engelbert’s  song ‘Forever Blowing Bubbles’ is featured. And in Netflix’s ‘Umbrella Academy” his ‘Quando, Quando, Quando’ is heard.

Last year, he was awarded the Honor of Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) on Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday Honors List presented by Her Royal Highness Princess Anne.

Two weeks ago, saw the release of the documentary  ‘Englebert Humperdinck:  The Legend Continues’ .  With unprecedented access to him and his close family, friends and business associates, director Steven Murray delivers a heart-warming chronicle – shot across two continents at locations close to  Engelbert’s  heart – which shines an insider’s light on this multitalented, yet humble and unexpectedly humorous musical genius.  The documentary offers a unique insight into the world of  Humperdinck , including never before seen concert footage and funny, frank and touching narration by  Engelbert  himself.
