GASPAREE CAVES ADVENTURE WITH CRUISE

Experience by Island Experiences
Short drive along the North West coast to modern marina, to board your fine Bertram Yacht (or similar). The first stop is the small island of Gaspar Grande . Embark on a short easy hike to the cave entrance. The easy descend on broad well-lit steps leads to an amazing 80ft underground cave with a deep pond (“Blue Grotto”). View stalagmites and other unusual rock formations. Upon return to our boat continue the cruise, relaxing, swimming in secluded bays, listening to local music (optional).

Gasparee Caves Tour
Escape on a boat ride to the Island of Gaspar Grande, an old whaling station, where you can find one of the easily accessible limestone caves in T&T.
Let your imagination run as you walk along this extraordinary cave system with its numerous stalactites and stalagmites. As you venture 100 feet underground into Gasparee Caves, you will be amazed to witness the natural wonders, sinkholes and its crystal pool with sunlight dappling on the aquamarine waters.
Outside the caves, there are a variety of flora and fauna for one’s viewing pleasure. You may encounter the yellow headed parrot, the rufous-necked woodrail, the yellow-headed caracara and the streaked saltator. If you are lucky you may be able to sample a star apple (Sapotaceae). Be sure to visit this mysterious underworld!

Gasparee Cave Tour
Join us as we explore one of the gems of Trinidad and Tobago, the Gasparee Cave on the 24th September 2023. The cave is located on a small island west of the main island of Trinidad known as Gaspar Grande also known as Gasparee Island.
This tour entails:
Boatride from Trinidad to Gasparee Island, duration about 10 minutes one way.
Short walk from the Dock to Cave.
Descending more than 100 steps to the bottom of the cave where you will embrace the beauty of the pool as the sun shines through the roof of the cave to illuminate the water and cave interior.

Cave Tour and Easy Hike:
Ages 12+ : TTD$ 300.00/person
Kids ages 5-11: TTD$ 250.00 per child
Kids Under 5: Free.
We do not have lifejackets for tiny kids, please bring your own.
The Price Includes:
Marina Entrance, Boat trip and Tour Guide fee, Lifejackets,Washrooms Facilities, Trip to nearby island to swim/bathe in the sea after the cave tour +more.
Not Included: $40 Carpark fee per vehicle, transport, meals or drinks.
The tour itself is about 2-3 hours, after which we will take you to a nearby island for a bathe/swim to relax.
By 2.00pm-3.00pm we will return to the mainland.
Always cater a little extra time when there is logistics with people and boats.

ASSEMBLY & PARKING:
We park and assemble in the carpark which is at the right hand side of the western main road. Drivers may be asked to pay the carpark fee at the guard-booth(on the left side of the road) before being allowed to enter the carpark. In the carpark we do registration, issue wristbands and life jackets then pray before crossing the road to pass the guard booth while entering the marina.
WASHROOOMS:
The use of washroom facilities which are included in your packages. It is located in the small building on the left after the guard booth. Use this before boarding the boat and after returning from the boat. There are no washrooms on the island and you may have to resort to the bush if needs be.
Average departure: 9.00am
Average return time: 2.00-3.00pm
Please do not make plans for the remainder of the day as we must leave room for delays. The times are not set and there can be delays as there are various factors to consider such as wind, current, waves, boats etc.
Arrive late, you miss the boat.
