Mon Laferte Will Tour ‘Autopoiética’ Across the U.S. in May

Mon Laferte is bringing the songs off her ninth LP across the United States. On Monday, Laferete announced that she’s heading on the road to perform songs from her recently released LP, Autopoiética .

The singer will commence her run of shows in Chicago before stopping at New York City’s the Theater at Madison Square Garden, Austin’s Moody Amphitheater, and Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, among other venues.

Tickets for the shows go on sale on Feb. 15 at 10 am. local time, although fans with Citicards can purchase tickets beginning Tuesday, Feb. 13.

Laferte sat down to speak about Autopoiética with Rolling Stone , during which she described the album as “hypnotic and subversive… never afraid of its own intensity.” The LP featured songs such as “Tenochtitlán,” “Amantes Suicidas,” and “Pornocracia.”

If you’re seeing very expensive tickets that are not VIP, those are official platinum tickets. These tickets are very expensive and are offered well over the standard ticket prices. They’re the kind of ticket pricing that is unfair to fans. The Event Organizer(s) has priced these tickets according to their market value (aka dynamic pricing). In other words, ticket pricing can go up or down, and it usually goes up.

Artists can choose not to offer Official Platinum or limit the amount for charity purposes. The Cure , Pearl Jam and U2 have all been recognized as artists that don’t use these dynamic pricing tactics.

Official platinum tickets do not include VIP packages. The only positive thing about them is they make buying floor or front-row tickets to a high-demand concert very easy if you’re willing to shed the extra coin. If money is not an object, you should definitely bank on the convenience of getting Official Platinum tickets.

Pro Tips When Buying Your Tickets

First, on the day of the presale or general onsale (whichever you prefer), login to your Ticketmaster account ( go to my account or sign in located on the upper right corner of the page ) at least 15 minutes ahead of the sale time. If you don’t have one,  create one now .

Be sure to add your billing info (aka credit card info) before jumping into the digital queue for a quick check-out. Once the presale starts, remain in the digital queue. Only use one browser window because using multiple browsers or devices and multiple accounts with the same phone number can result in errors. Trust, it’s happened to us before! Don’t refresh your page, do be patient, don’t leave your page, do get those tickets!

What To Do If Tickets Are Sold Out?

If tickets sell out, your other option is to buy them via online resellers like VividSeats or StubHub. When all else fails, we prefer these resell options because both offer a 100% Guarantee. You can also purchase resell tickets through Ticketmaster’s resell program. Just search for the concert or event you want to attend , and see if they have any resell tickets available. We recommend you compare the three options and find out which works best for you.

Alternatively, you can hit it old school style and show up at the concert when the box office opens and wish upon a star that they release more tickets, or hopefully, another concert-goer has an extra ticket to sell at face-value or even giveaway for free. Chilean artist Mon Laferte has announced dates for her upcoming US tour in support of her album SEIS . The tour kicks off in September with two back-to-back shows in Seattle, Washington, and runs through the end of October where she will wrap in Tucson, Arizona.

SEIS is Mon Laferte’s most intensely personal album yet. The project was inspired by a documentary about Chavela Vargas, the Mexican singer credited with revolutionizing Mexican ranchera music. Created in isolation, the album taps into a new realm of songwriting for Mon Laferte with newfound vulnerability.

In a review of SEIS, NPR Music noted that the project “reminded me of a Chilean Édith Piaf…It’s easy to imagine her performing these songs late at night in a little club somewhere.”

Laferte has previously collaborated with several big-name artists including Gwen Stefani and Juanes and will appear on the forthcoming Metallica tribute album .

The 12-date trek will kick off Nov. 6 in Washington. D.C. and will wrap up Nov. 23 in San Francisco. “It will be a very special trip for me because this is my first tour in the U.S. and my whole band will be with me, they are my best friends. ” the “Amor Completo” says Laferte .

The up-and-coming singer, whose unique style and powerful vocals have enticed fans in Latin America, says the audience can expect a “theatrical style concert” during her presentations in the States. “I’m an actress trapped in the body of a singer, so the principal idea is to be able to provoke certain things, my thing is drama and performance. Fans should be prepared for anything extreme and to hear a very good band, ver Latin and also very old school with jazz and cabaret influences.”

After a few performances in the U.S., Mon Laferte, who currently lives in Mexico City, says the Latin community here inspired her to write a new song. “I notice how united Latinos are in general and that makes me very excited. I was so excited that I wrote a song, since I felt happier than ever to be Latin. We are very fortunate to have this skin. Latin people in the world are beautiful, warm and wherever you are, they will make you feel at home.”

Mon Laferte, te amo is a documentary film about the popular musician and artist, Mon Laferte. Camila Grandi and Joanna Reposi Garibaldi directed the project from a script by Garibaldi.

In April 2024, Chilean-born Mexican musician and artist Mon Laferte spoke about the upcoming documentary at her concert at the Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile. The film offers an inside look into the life of the celebrated artist. It was filmed during Laferte’s 2021-2022 tour in the Americas.

During this period, the musician underwent her first pregnancy. As a result, it features prominently in the documentary. Mon Laferte, te amo also sheds light on the artist’s creative process as well as her relationship with her family. In addition, it delves into her inspirations and her artistic pursuits beyond music as well.

The documentary contains archival footage of Mon Laferte’s interviews and has a runtime of one hour and 17 minutes. The production company behind the documentary is Blackstar, with Jaime Villarreal and José Antonio San Miguel García serving as the producers.

Known for her diverse music style, Mon Laferte has released nine studio albums to date and one live album. She has also received two Grammy nominations and won four Latin Grammy Awards.

When is Mon Laferte, te amo coming out via streaming?

Mon Laferte, te amo will be available to watch via streaming on Netflix on August 1, 2024. Viewers will be able to stream it at this time.
