Taylor Swift closes out The Eras Tour with sellout crowd at Levi's Stadium in 'Swiftie Clara'
Economists say this concert has generated over $4 billion in spending across the United States.
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KGO) -- It was glitter and fur and fringe - and a lot of pink, as tens of thousands of Swifties made their way to Levi's Stadium.
"I have been a Swiftie since I was about 4-years-old. I have always wanted to come to one of her shows. So it's a really big dream come true," says Eva Zalamea, a 14 year-old from Santa Rosa.
"She is like a really big part of my life. I have been listening to her since I was little. She is just a really amazing role to me," says 12-year-old Amaani Siddiqui, who lives in San Jose.

Saturday night, Taylor Swift brought in another sellout crowd for her second and final Bay Area show. She took the stage at 8 p.m. performing a medley of more than 40 songs for what has averaged to be a 3.5 hour show.
There is no "Bad Blood," but not everyone made it in the show, a topic for many Swifities that was a bit "Delicate." They lined the streets along the stadium just trying to "Shake It Off."
"This is like maybe even more fun, because we get to be with everybody else," says 13-year-old Kennedy Knapp, who danced in the cordoned off streets with a small group of friends.

Along with the iconic styles and fashions representing different looks from Swift's albums and music videos, trading friendship bracelets has become symbolic of The Eras tour.
"You make a bunch of bracelets and then you just go around seeing if you want to trade with people. At the end of the night, you can see all the memories you made with many random strangers," says Chris Cordova-Ramirez, who lives in Pleasant Hill. "I love it."

The tour has gotten glowing reviews. And it's been big boost to the local economy. Economists say this concert has generated over $4 billion in spending across the United States. Other estimates put the average amount a ticket holder will spend is close to $1,300.
"Right now, we are probably close to $2,000. In total, with the hotel, everything," explains Dennis Zalamea, Santa Rosa resident, who came with his daughter.

More than just a concert, Swifties are proving that Swift is a cultural phenomenon.
"I relate to all her lyrics. Even if I don't relate to them, I love listening to it. And it's just always the music. You can be in a fun Taylor vibe, a slow Taylor vibe. Sad Taylor, Happy Taylor. You got it all," says Sophie Wampler, an East Bay resident.
The tour's U.S. leg ends next week in Los Angeles. The Eras tour is expected to be the largest grossing concert in history.

Music + concerts, music + concerts | see which songs taylor swift played in santa clara ahead of the tour hitting inglewood, swift has two sold-out nights at levi's stadium in santa clara before wrapping up the eras tour at sofi stadium in inglewood aug. 3-5 and 7-9..
Jim Harrington is a reporter with the Bay Area News Group and caught Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on Friday, July 28 ahead of the tour’s final stops at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on Aug. 3-5 and 7-9.
Taylor Swift’s fingers danced across the keyboards of a faux-moss-covered piano, crooning through the ballad “Champagne Problems” in the midst of a bizarrely intriguing fairytale stage set, as a two-thirds-full moon hung in the sky and 58,000 fans sang along with her every word.
She softly brought the number to a close, breaking a mesmerizing lyrical spell of heartbreak and anguish, and then took a moment to bask in the towering applause from the capacity crowd on Friday night (July 28) at Levi’s Stadium in “Swiftie Clara” (the name that the City of Santa Clara has officially — and temporarily — adopted in honor of the pop star’s two concerts at the venue ).

Yet, the moment lingered far longer than expected, as chants of “Taylor! Taylor! Taylor!” echoed through the house of the San Francisco 49ers, leaving the star a bit shaken, to the point where she looked like she might shed a tear at the unbridled display of love.
“This is amazing. What are you doing?” the pop star responded in disbelief. “That was the most generous reaction to a sad, little piano song.”
You want to talk about generous? Consider that Swift — the biggest star in the pop music universe, with pretty much zero left to prove — delivered a mammoth, curfew-shattering 3½-hour performance that included nearly four dozen songs. Now, that’s generous — and amazing, especially since she surely could’ve cut both those figures in half and still delivered a show that would’ve greatly pleased fans.

Yet, this show isn’t like others. It’s part of the Era Tour, where Swift is supporting not just one but four new (or newish) albums — 2019’s “Lover,” 2020’s “Folklore” and “Evermore” and 2022’s “Midnights.” (And that’s not counting the three so-called “Taylor’s Version” reissues of her older records.)
The show is organized by album (or era, if you will), with Swift performing a batch of tunes from one particular album and then moving onto the next. It doesn’t move chronologically, but rather zigzags back and forth through the years, with different sets and wardrobes coming into play with each era.
Swift kicked off the show in “Lover” territory, sounding great as she performed a half-dozen numbers — “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince,” “Cruel Summer,” “The Man,” “You Need to Calm Down,” “Lover” and “The Archer” — from that 2019 chart-topping album.
Swift — who also had been made honorary mayor by the City of Santa Clara/Swiftie Clara — seemed to draw energy from the fans, who sang along to every number and were basically on their feet throughout the entire epic set.
“Santa Clara, California, you are making me feel incredible right now,” said Swift, who was set to perform a second sold-out show at Levi’s on Saturday.
Working in front of a massive video screen, which basically ran the entire width of the football field, Swift boogied along to her live band, joined forces with her backing vocalists and high-stepped it with a number of dancers as she moved through both new and old albums.
She’d venture as far back as her sophomore full-length — 2008’s diamond-certified “Fearless” — for two of the best songs of the night, “Love Story” and “You Belong With Me.” Yet, the newer albums received the most attention, with both “Folklore” and ‘Midnights” warranting seven songs each in the ample setlist.
“It feels like forever since I’ve been able to play a show in the Bay Area,” she noted as moved into “Evermore” material. “It’s been five years.”
Swift was still going strong as she approached the venue’s 11 p.m. weekend curfew , having just finished up a great set of “1989” songs — including “Blank Space,” “Bad Blood” and “Shake It Off.” As the clock ticked past the curfew, Swift performed her two surprise songs — which change from concert to concert. This time around, the singer was joined by frequent collaborator Aaron Dessner for the acoustic-guitar-driven “Right Where You Left Me” and then performed a solo piano rendition of “Castles Crumbling,” marking the first time Swift had played that song in concert.
Swift finished up the show right around 11:38 p.m., having given the 58,000 fans in attendance a night truly worth remembering for eras to come. As for Santa Clara, the city has not yet responded to Swift’s cracking the 11 p.m. curfew, or the fact that she could be poised to do so again when she performs her second show at Levis.

The following is information about the shows. For additional information, be sure to check out our concert guide .
The parking lot opens at 2 p.m. while gates open at 4:30 p.m. The concert is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Swift has been taking the stage at around 8 p.m. and performing a 45-song setlist for more than three hours at earlier stops on the over 100-date tour. Before Swift takes the stage, Gracie Abrams and HAIM are set to open both Santa Clara shows.
With traffic, delays and road closures expected, fans are encouraged to take public transit. Capitol Corridor is offering promotions and an adjusted schedule to accommodate Northern California concert-goers. Meanwhile, Caltrain will offer an additional post-event train on both nights.
The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority is offering 30% more light-rail train cars to its service plan, the most service it has offered for any event hosted at Levi's Stadium, in anticipation of a record number of passengers.
Fans can connect to BART via VTA at the Milpitas Transit Center. BART and VTA staff will be in communication to ensure passengers can make their connection.
With tickets selling out almost immediately on Ticketmaster, resale prices remain over $1,000 on secondary marketplaces like StubHub.
California Attorney General Rob Bonta issued a consumer alert warning to fans against ticket scams, which have been an issue throughout the tour.
Levi's Stadium allows only clear bags no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" or small clutch bags no larger than 4.5" x 6.5", according to NFL bag policy. Otherwise, glitter, colors and Swift-themed outfits should certainly be expected. Fans have also been making and trading friendship bracelets at shows. San Jose Mineta International Airport staff will even be trading handmade SJC-branded bracelets to travelers.
Tailgating will not be allowed outside the stadium.
Fans who don't have a ticket will not be allowed to congregate in the stadium's parking lots or on nearby streets.

The Eras Tour: Santa Clara, California (Night 1)
We have reached the second to last US destination of the tour in Santa Clara, CA at Levi’s Stadium! Last night’s surprise setlist was special because it was her first time performing both songs live. The songs were Right Where You Left Me alongside Aaron Dessner and Castles Crumbling. Another change to last night’s show was that HAIM changed their costumes tonight during No Body, No Crime to the stepsister dressed they wore in the Bejeweled music video! We adore their friendship with Taylor! Videos of the surprise songs below and photos are in the gallery.

Listen to this article
Taylor Swift 's The Eras Tour is in full swing, and just as fans had hoped, Taylor has confirmed that she will be performing surprise songs on every single night of the tour.
If you've been a fan of Taylor for a while, you'll know that she always includes a surprise song or two in her tour set lists. The tradition goes all the way back to the Speak Now World Tour, where she included the surprise covers she performed during that era.
With the tour now officially underway, the surprise songs are back, back, back again! There are 45 songs in the setlist already, which means she's got well over 200 songs (!!) to choose from for the surprise slots.
Initially, Taylor told fans that she will only play each surprise song once, unless she messes it up. But she has now confirmed that she has ended that rule, and she will play whatever she wants, however many times she wants!
So, what surprise songs has Taylor Swift already performed on The Eras Tour and what can fans expect for the rest of the dates? Here's the full list. (We'll update this article live, during each show.)

In 2023, Taylor played an additional 124 songs from her own discography as surprise songs. That includes 19 from Red (Taylor's Version), 17 from Speak Now (Taylor's Version), 16 from 1989 (Taylor's Version), 15 from Fearless (Taylor's Version), 11 from Midnights, 11 from Taylor Swift, 10 from Reputation, 10 from Lover, 8 from evermore and 6 from folklore.
Plus one soundtrack song ('I Don't Wanna Live Forever) and one extra song that's not her own ('I miss you, I'm sorry' with Gracie Abrams).
The Eras Tour concert film was recorded on August 3rd, 4th and 5th and all six surprise songs she performed at those shows will be included in The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) on Disney+.
What surprise songs has Taylor Swift not played yet?
With Taylor performing two surprise songs a night, it's pretty much a given that she will perform the majority of them before she finishes the entire tour. Taylor has now confirmed that she has reset the list for the 2024 dates, which means international fans heading to the Eras Tour will likely hear some repeats, as well as those she has not yet performed.
There's still plenty of tracks that Taylor has the option to perform. Here's all the songs that she has not yet performed as surprise songs:
- Taylor Swift : 'Mary’s Song (Oh My My My)', 'A Perfectly Good Heart'
- Fearless (Taylor's Version): ' The Way I Loved You', 'Change', 'Superstar', 'We Were Happy', 'That’s When', 'Don’t You', 'Bye Bye Baby'
- Speak Now (Taylor's Version): [All songs from Speak Now have been played.]
- Red (Taylor's Version) : 'Girl At Home', 'Ronan', 'Forever Winter', 'Run'
- 1989 (Taylor's Version) : 'Sweeter Than Fiction'
- Reputation : 'I Did Something Bad'
- Lover : 'London Boy', 'Soon You’ll Get Better', 'It’s Nice To Have A Friend'
- Folklore : 'Hoax'
- Evermore : 'Happiness', 'Closure'
- Midnights : 'Paris', 'Glitch'
- The Tortured Poets Department : [All 31 songs from the full Anthology version of the album have yet to be played live.]
Taylor's brand new album The Tortured Poets Department was released on April 19th, complete with a whopping 31 new songs. She's likely to perform those as surprise songs on the upcoming European leg of the tour.
Alongside those listed album tracks, there's also several standalone and soundtrack songs that Taylor could add into the mix: 'Crazier', 'Only The Young', 'Carolina', 'I Heart?', 'Beautiful Eyes', 'Beautiful Ghosts'... And of course, 'Macavity' and 'Christmas Tree Farm'...
There's also the small possibility that she could potentially perform the songs she's featured on, maybe even with special guests: 'The Joker and the Queen', 'Two Is Better Than One', 'Renegade', 'Both of Us', 'Gasoline', 'Birch', 'Highway Don’t Care' and 'The Alcott'.
What surprise songs will Taylor Swift perform again?
At the start of the The Eras Tour, Taylor revealed that she had two rules when it comes to playing surprise songs more than once. Rule 1: If she messed up, she's allowed to play it again. Rule 2: Midnights songs are exempt and she can play them "however many times I want..."
However, in February 2024, she confirmed that that rule is no longer in place. She will play whatever songs she wants, however many times she wants.
So, if you're going to a London show in August, or one of the final shows in Vancouver and you're hoping to hear 'You're On Your Own, Kid'? It's now a strong possibility.
Here's a list of all the songs Taylor has performed multiple times on the Eras Tour so far:
- 'You're On Your Own, Kid' (Played 5 times)
- 'Maroon' (Played 3 times)
- 'this is me trying'
- 'Our Song'
- 'Snow On The Beach'
- 'Death By A Thousand Cuts'
- 'Clean'
- 'The Other Side of the Door'
- 'Teardrops On My Guitar'
- 'Out of the Woods'
- 'Come Back...Be Here'
- 'Red'
- 'Getaway Car'
- 'Holy Ground'
- 'Daylight'
Taylor performed 'Nothing New' with Phoebe Bridgers on the nights Phoebe appears as a support act, but the song was not one of the two surprise songs. Taylor could now perform the song again later down the line as a surprise song.
Taylor also performed 'No Body, No Crime' with HAIM on the nights they supported the show. It's possible that Taylor will now perform that one again, solo, later down the line.

Will Taylor Swift add The Tortured Poets Department songs to the Eras Tour setlist?
Just when you thought the Eras Tour would remain a celebration of Taylor's 10 albums, she goes ahead an announces her surprise 11th album!
'The Tortured Poets Department' was released on April 19th, and features 31 songs – 16 from the original tracklist as well as a further 16 on the Anthology version . We won't know for sure if Taylor will change her setlist to accommodate the new songs, but it's possible that she will perform them as surprise songs.
Watch this space – we'll update this article with more information as soon as she heads back on tour after the release.

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Night 2 setlist: Here's how it differed from Night 1
Taylor Swift told us on opening night of The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, that she planned to shake it up — not off — at each stop on her tour with the two-song acoustic set that comes near the end of her performance.
On opening night, we heard "Mirrorball," one of eight songs she performed from "Folklore," and "Tim McGraw," the only song she played from her debut.
On Saturday, her second sold-out show at State Farm Stadium in Swift City, she subbed in "This Is Me Trying" from "Folklore" and "State of Grace" from "Red."
Like opening night, the first of those songs featured Swift on acoustic guitar and while the second one was done while seated at the piano.
