Thiruthani is located in the Tiruvallur District and is at a distance of 84 km from north-west Chennai. Thiruthani lies on the Chennai-Tirupati route in South India. This holy town houses a very sacred Murugan Temple and is considered to be an ‘Aarupadai Veedu’ which means one of the holy abodes of Lord Muruga.

Thiruchendur

Thiruchendur or Tiruchendur is a small coastal town in the Toothukudi District of Tamil Nadu. Known also as Thirucheer Alaiwai, Thiruchendur is a popular pilgrimage destination situated in the Gulf of Mannar.

Palani is located in the Madurai district of Tamil Nadu. It is about 112 km from Madurai and about 152 km from Tiruchirappalli. Palani is a holy place and one of the sacred six ‘padai veedu’ temples of Lord Murugan. Devotees believe that Lord Murugan came and settled down in this sacred place. That is how Palani gained its popularity.

Tirupparankunram

Tirupparankunram Murugan Temple is a Hindu temple and one of the Six Abodes of Murugan, located at Tirupparankunram. The temple offers a mystic beauty; is carved in rock and is monstrous in size for such an architecture. According to the legend it is where Murugan married Deivayanai, the divine daughter of the king of heaven, Indra, and he is said to have worshipped Shiva here as Parangirinathar.

Swamimalai, a popular pilgrim destination, is a panchayat town situated near Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu. Swamimalai is one among the six ‘Padai Veedugal’ or ‘Six Holy Abodes’ (Battle Camps) of Lord Murugan, also known as Lord Karthikeya or Subrahmanya.

Pazhamudhir Solai

Pazhamudhir Solai is a temple situated close to the Alagar Koil temple. Located on the hills, this temple is dedicated to Lord Subramanya. The temple is also considered as one of the six abodes of the lord. Devotees visit this temple in large number as in the evening the deity is carried on the golden chariot daily. Pilgrims also take a dip in the natural spring called Nuburagangai.

Day 01: on arrival at chennai.

On Arrival at Chennai Airport, transfer to Stay Hotel. Later we will proceed to see the Local sight seeing at Chennai includes Kabaliswarar Temple, Marina Beach, Fort St.George etc. Stay at Chennai.

Day 02: Chennai – Thiruthani – Kancheepuram – Kumbakonam

After breakfast drive to Thiruthani and visit Thiruthani Murugan temple.(This is one of the Arupadai Veedu Murugan temple) later drive to Kumbakonam via Kancheepuram (This one of the five elements represents EARTH). Overnight halt at Kumbakonam.

Day 03: Kumbakonam – Tanjore – Trichy

Approx. 8 am we drive to visit Swamimalai Murugan Temple (This is one of Aurupadai Murugan Temple), Later drive to Trichy via Thanjauvr. Overnight halt Trichy.

Day 04: Trichy – Sri Rangam – Palani – Madurai

This morning you will visit Sri Rangam Temple and Jambukeswarar Temple, Thiruvanaikaval temple (This is one of the five Elements represents WATER) later proceed to Madurai enroute visit to Palani Murugan temple (one of the six abodes of Lord Murugan temple.

Day 05: Excursion visit to Thiruchendur from Madurai

Go for excursion visit to Thiruchendur (This is one of the Arupadai veedu Murugan temple) after the visit and dashan drive back to Madurai. Stay at Madurai.

Day 06: Madurai

Morning visit and pooja at Thiruparamkunram Murugan Temple (This is one of the arupadai veedu Murugan temple) later you can visit Sri Meenakshi Amman Temple, Thirumalai nayak palace. Evening visit Pazhamudhircholai (This is one of the Arupadai veedu Murugan temple) over night stay at Madurai.

Day 07: Trichy Departure

This morning proceed to Trichy, on arrival spend the day for shopping and evening transfer to Trichy airport>to go back home with the blessings of Lord Murugan.

The only unappreciated incident was the driver's behaviour during night drive from Gaya to Kasi. Overall our experience was very good.
