Straight off of their epic American Music Awards performance, multiplatinum selling pop super-group New Kids On The Block are thrilled to announce two new dates on the The MixTape Tour 2022 due to extreme fan demand. NKOTB will take the stage in Chicago (Rosemont) on June 18 at Allstate Arena, and their beloved hometown of Boston on July 16 at TD Garden, continuing the party with their friends Salt-N-Pepa, Rick Astley and En Vogue as legendary special guests.

Tickets for both new dates will go on sale to the public Tuesday, November 23 at 10am local on Ticketmaster.com.  Fan Club presales begin today at 12pm ET/11am CT. New Kids on the Block announce 2024 tour with New England concert dates

BOSTON - New Kids on the Block are hitting the road next summer and going back on tour. 

They announced their plans with a 90s-themed video, complete with throwback references to MTV's "TRL" and cassette tapes.

The tour promises to "bring all of the magic back for fans" of the Dorchester-based pop band consisting of Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood.

Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff are the special guests for the tour that is set to hit over 40 cities. New Kids on the Block will play the Bank NH Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire on August 9, followed by a show at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield on August 10. There's also a concert in Hartford, Connecticut at the Xfinity Theatre on August 2. 

Tickets go on sale to the public Friday. 

New Kids On The Block played Fenway Park back in 2021 and went on a "Mixtape Tour" last year that brought them to the TD Garden.

The  MixTape Tour 2022  is already shaping up to be a can’t miss night out where fans can hear chart-topping hits and legendary catalogues spanning generations all night long. New Kids on the Block plan to bring the right stuff — and a few famous friends — to their home state next summer.

NKOTB announced their “Magic Summer 2024″ tour on Monday, with special guests Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff set to join the Boston boy band. Donnie Wahlberg , Danny Wood, Joey McIntyre, and brothers Jonathan and Jordan Knight kick off the tour in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, on June 14, and will make a stop at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield on Aug. 10.

More than two decades since their first “Magic Summer” tour, the band announced the latest series of concerts in an interview with “Good Morning America” on Monday.

“In 1990, we did the original ‘Magic Summer’ tour, which had a lot of magic in it,” Wahlberg told the “GMA” hosts. “The magic now is in the music, the memories, the moments that we all share and re-create with each other.

“We are going to be under the stars outside every night just having the most amazing time with our fans,” he added.

While NKOTB tours a lot each year, having played everywhere from Fenway Park to TD Garden , next year’s shows will be a little different. Wahlberg told “GMA” that, although their usual concerts tend to be built with their special guests in mind, the “Magic Summer 2024″ tour will keep NKOTB front and center.

“We have Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff coming as opening acts,” Wahlberg said. “But it’s going to be 2½ hours of New Kids sweating to the oldies, having a great time.”

The band also released a funny clip to coincide with the announcement, enlisting Kimmy Gibbler, a.k.a. “Full House” star Andrea Laura Barber, for a skit featuring NKOTB as Ken-like dolls.

Presale tickets to the “Magic Summer 2024″ tour will be available for fan club and Citi card members at 10 a.m. on Nov. 1, with general tickets going on sale beginning at 10 a.m. on Nov. 3.

As one of the earliest teen-pop boy bands to arrive on the scene, New Kids on the Block helped set the standard for the trend that dominated the '90s and '00s, influencing the likes of N Sync, Backstreet Boys and Westlife.

Masterminded by producer Maurice Starr, New Kids on the Block became a multi-Platinum selling hit, with their R&B-tinged urban pop that found legions of young female fans. The band came together in 1985, after Starr conducted a talent search in the city of Boston, US. Donnie Whalberg, Jordan Knight, Jon Knight, Danny Wood and Joe McIntyre fit the bill, with these young teenagers soon gaining a contract with Columbia Records, before they were barely 16 years old. Their self-titled debut was release in 1986, which failed to capture the nation's attention.

Yet with their second album, "Hangin' Tough," in 1988, the youthful act found an endless stream of hits, with their bubblegum-pop that was perfectly suited to the radio. Five songs broke into the Top Ten, with their Christmas album released the following year going on to sell double-Platinum. New Kids on the Block became household names and sales of their debut rose to multi-Platinum also.

The craze continued into the new decade, with the single "Step by Step" becoming a massive hit, with the album of the same name going on to sell three million copies in America alone. The band were also an international success, shifting 16 million copies globally. Extensive touring followed, which saw them play over 100 dates, whilst also unleashing a whole collection of merchandise that even included dolls. Proving that shrewd marketing pays off, in 1991, the band became the highest-grossing performers, beating the likes of Michael Jackson and Madonna.

Popularity for the group began to wane, with their fan base, and themselves beginning to grow up, finding different desires. In 1994, they attempted to offer a more mature image, going by simply NKOTB and releasing "Face The Music," a more legitimate urban R&B record that displayed their own songwriting talents. Unable to make the desired impact, the group decided to bring it to an end by the end of the year.

Following various solo careers and acting roles, New Kids on the Block decided to return in 2008, releasing "The Block," which despite its negative criticism, still managed to debut at number two in the Billboard charts. New Kids on the Block continued to tour, co-headlining with Backstreet Boys in 2011. Still on the road, new material surfaced in 2013, titled "10."

Live reviews

Last summer my bff and I saw NKOTB four times, and each show was better than the one before. It is high energy and interactive no matter where you sit.

The guys come into the crowd, everyone is on their feet through the whole show, and they have such a huge fan base that is almost like family. We aren't called "5 brothers and a million sisters" for nothing. It is like one huge block party for two solid hours.

Lights, confetti, stages that rise and turn, even the ballads are beyond amazing. They always sound phenomenal, and they make sure they tour in as many places as possible, big arenas and small, so everyone gets a chance to see them. I don't know of any other band that involves their fans as much as they do, and you can see the love for their fans and what they do every night they perform. From the first night of a tour to the last, there is always 200% effort to make sure we get our money's worth.

There are almost no words to describe the feeling you have after seeing them. Excitement because you saw them, but also the feeling of depression and withdrawal because you can't wait to see them again. I have seen so many artists in concert but I have never left an NKOTB show saying "Well that wasn't a great show", I've always said "That was the best show ever!!!" They are without a doubt, the best!

Recently reformed New Kids On The Block have been back on the road since 2008 delighting fans of their chart dominating pop sounds of the 80s along with the new crowds of adoring followers. Having enjoyed huge success in both the US and the UK during their heyday, it was no surprise that the majority of their comeback tour sold out instantly.

For many a teenage girl, New Kids On The Block soundtracked their young lives with classics such as 'I'll Be Loving You (Forever)' and 'Let's Try It Again'. However the crowd gathered in London for their comeback is varied yet they all cheer in unison at the appearance of the group. They are not quite as quick on their feet, yet still perform famed dance routine and know how to delight the crowds with their pop.

Playing a huge set made up of hits, there is mass sing-along for 'Cover Girl' and 'Baby, I Believe in You' while lead vocalists Jonathan and Jordan Knight evoke a sway-along for the dreamy 'Summertime'. By the final toe tapping beats of 'Hangin' Tough' the crowd has enjoyed a wonderful taste of nostalgia.

OMG.... absolutely amazing, it's like seeing them for the first time every single concert. I see them everyyyyytime they come and never feel like I've seen it before. They are dad's now still look hotttttt. I like how they do the change cam and show things from the city they're in I used to live in St Louis they show Cardinals and blue's last night in Indy it was pacers and luck. I love how they cater to their fans coming right out in audience all way around taking selfies touching hugging fans I've been to alot of concerts none of them do that. I loved how they show them young new kids and now new kids what a memory. Thank you for making us feel safe to new kids, with what happened at Arianna concert people could be scared never felt that well for one their hot bods kept my mind off it. Thank you for a great show, fun memories. This blockheads mom was very happy. See ya next tour.

my first concert was back in 1990 at flidders green my mom suprised me with tickets!! i was 15 back then and now 46 im still a big fan my room was covered in posters of all 5 guys and then some, i had the dolls, the bedding, all of there tapes now im showing my age lol...my favorite new kid is jon knight and still is i had a huge crush on him and still do, anyway i can relate to his mental illness which is anxiety i didnt get diagnosed when i was 33 i had a severe panic attack at my sons baseball game it was to many people around me so jon knight i know what your going thru but now i have more confidence in myself and now huge crowds dont bother me any more i think you are a amazing human being and dont forget that!!! to the rest of the 4 new kids i love you all hope to see you all 2023

Their MIXED TAPE Tour is a musical stroke of genius and keeps the audience on its feet by switching artists/performers during the concert! SALT N' PEPA, TIFFANY, Debbie Gibson & NAUGHTY BY NATURE were all interspersed on two (2) stages to keep the crowd jamming while NKOTB "MCed" the entire affair. Finally, NKOTB, SALT N' PEPA, NAUGHTY BY NATURE, Debbie Gibson & TIFFANY took the main stage and performed "Push It" SALT N' PEPA's first (1st) hit song! THANK YOU for an enjoyable evening and for establishing a "better" style for a multi-group concert!

Such a fun, exciting concert! I have been an NKOTB fan since a teen, and this concert made me feel like a teen again. All the performers were incredible, and loved the addition of our Toronto Raptor's dancers and Mascot, and Snow. Thank you New Kids for making my teenaged dream come true!

I didn't get to go cause I didn't have a way there and I don't know how to drive and I really wanted to go but I have no way there that sucked I missed out going to see them and I was hoping that got to go to the one in Charlotte I didn't get that one either

One.of the best shows.ive seen so far in El Paso..loves the whole idea of mixtape..for a 3 hour show it didnt even seem like it.The mixture of music keep me alert and not at all bored at any moment..Great concert..just wish Tiffany had sang a little more.

Awesome show. I am 60 years old. Never followed the Kids when I was young. Never was at one of their concerts before. Throughly enjoyed it. Great audience participation. Great songs. I will go again next time they are in town.

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK Announce Dates For ‘The Magic Summer 2024 Tour’

Multi-platinum pop icons New Kids on the Block have announced THE MAGIC SUMMER 2024 TOUR . Reimagining the smash 1990 tour of the same name, Donnie, Joey, Jordan, Jonathan & Danny will bring back the magic for fans old and new, this time with very special guests Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff. As announced on GMA this morning, the tour, produced by Live Nation, will kick off on June 14 and hit over 40 cities including Chicago, New York and Los Angeles.

TICKETS: Tickets will be available starting with Fanclub and CITI presales beginning Wednesday, November 1. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general onsale beginning Friday, November 3 at 10 AM local time on LiveNation.com .

PRESALE: Citi is the official card of the Magic Summer 2024 Tour. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning Wednesday, November 1 at 12 PM local time until Thursday, November 2 at 10 PM  local time through the Citi Entertainment program. They have promised to be performing their greatest hits, unexpected fan favorites and magical surprises for their diehard fans all across the country. The 2024 Magic Summer Tour is where the magic happens! Fans should expect a summer of fun and nostalgia as the New Kids embark on their first mostly outdoor venue tour in 15 years. NKOTB will be visiting some of the most iconic venues on this tour for a night under the stars, including some of the very same venues that they performed at on the original 1990 Magic Summer Tour.

The sold-out 1990 Magic Summer Tour, sponsored by Coca-Cola & McDonalds, took place at the ultimate height of New Kids’ success, and included multi-night stops at the band’s hometown Foxboro Stadium, Dodgers Stadium, Giants Stadium and many others.  The band collaborated with Harry Blackstone Jr. to stage magic and illusions within their performance, impressing fans and the Magic community alike, and even went on to win a Magic award for their contributions to the medium throughout their tour.

Produced by Live Nation, the four iconic acts will embark on The MixTape Tour 2022 for its 50+ date journey, with a stop at Fiserv Forum on June 15, 2022. In celebration of the tour announcement, the four iconic acts will appear on The Kelly Clarkson Show today for a “Kelly’s New Kids on the Block Party” show takeover that gives fans a sneak peek into what they can expect from the dynamic, unbeatable live show, including a performance from NKOTB .

The MixTape Tour 2022 is already shaping up to be a can’t miss night out where fans can hear chart-topping hits and legendary catalogues spanning generations all night long. It follows the colossal commercial and critical success of NKOTB ’s 2019 tour by the same name – their biggest since reuniting in 2008 – which grossed $53.2 million, sold more than 650,000 tickets and pioneered a super-sized show each night with multiple acts (Salt-N-Pepa, Tiffany, Naughty By Nature and Debbie Gibson) hitting the stage and reimagining what a special guest on a tour could look like.

En Vogue celebrated the 30 th anniversary of their first album Born To Sing on April 3, 2020, when it was reissued on Rhino Records, closed out the 2020 Billboard Music Awards with a performance of “Free Your Mind,” and launched their Funky Divas podcast. In March, they appeared with Salt-N-Pepa in Coming 2 America for a show-stopping performance of their hit song “Whatta Man” that was aptly titled “Whatta King” and was featured on the film’s soundtrack.
