The UK shines from June to August, though there’s never any guarantee that their summer is full of sunshine and warmth. The days are long, tourist crowds are abundant and the country wakes up from its dark slumber and celebrates – a lot.

Spring and autumn can be cool and wet but with some sunny days, and the days are still long enough to enjoy this country’s diverse and beautiful scenery.

Winter – December to February - brings short days, grey skies and sometimes snow, though this is more often in Scotland and England’s northern counties.

History and government

Early history.

The United Kingdom came into being in 1707 with the political union of England and Scotland (Wales was classed under the Kingdom of England). In 1800, the Act of Union with the Kingdom of Ireland formed the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.

The last major change was in 1922, when the Anglo-Irish Treaty saw the Irish Free State form and secede from the UK, and Northern Ireland becoming part of the UK (though it wasn’t until 1927 that the UK formerly changed its name to United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland). Though united, each country had their own laws, churches and education systems. 

Recent history

The 18th and 19th centuries were notable for the UK’s countless wars with France, colonization in the Caribbean, the loss of colonies in North America, the gain of Canada, the discovery of Australia, the second wave of the British Empire in India, Asia and Africa, the beginnings of the industrial revolution, the abolishment of slavery and the long and successful reign of Queen Victoria. Needless to say, this is but a snapshot. The first half of the 20th century was marred by two devastating world wars, which not only devastated the population but the wealth of the country. It also saw the crumbling of the British Empire, with independence being sought and won in Ireland in 1922 and India in 1947, and by the 1980s Britain had withdrawn from all of its colonies. In 1997 devolution was established in Scotland and Wales.

2. Skinheads

Originally nothing to do with hooligans, racists and fascism, skinheads were born in the 1960s in working class areas of the UK. Skinheads fashioned themselves on Jamaican rude boy style, listened to ska and wore tight jeans, white t-shirts, braces, checked shirts and cherry red docs.

3. Glam rockers

Glam rockers wore high shoes, outrageous clothes, dramatic makeup, lavish hairstyles and plenty of things that glittered. This subculture rose to prominence in the early 1970s and faded out about 5 years later, but went on to influence punk, goths and new romantics. Think David Bowie’s androgynous phase and Garry Glitter.

Though not originating in the UK, when punk hit the UK’s shores in the mid 70s, it was hard to miss. UK punks were on the whole more theatrical than those in the US. Armed with anti-establishment views, mohawks, ripped clothes held together by safety pins (anti-fashion), piercings and thrashing around to punk rock, punk caused a big stir, which died down not long after it exploded.

An offshoot of the post-punk scene, goth became popular in the early 1980s. Although there are many styles of goth, they are characterized by wearing dark clothes, heavy make-up and dark hair.

Best for English countryside and Roman history

Following the route of Hadrian’s Wall makes for one of the best road trips in the UK. Though the wall is quite justifiably famous, the route along it is far less touristy than other parts of the British Isles. The wall stretches from near Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the east to the compact city of Carlisle in the west. 

Hadrian’s Wall can be found within the more peaceful parts of England’s two most northerly counties. As this is a walking tour you’ll need a reasonable level of fitness, but this also means you’ll get up really close to the sights of Cumbria and Northumberland. Pendaftaran & Pembayaran

Pembayaran yang telah dibayarkan kepada PT WISATA IMPIAN UNIVERSAL tidak dapat dikembalikan (Non – Refundable)

• Peserta yang telah terdaftar, tidak diperkenankan pindah atau mengganti paket tour

Peserta bersedia memenuhi kelengkapan persyaratan dokumen sesuai dengan ketentuan dan jadwal dari pihak Kedutaan Negara yang dituju.  Biaya visa tidak dapat dikembalikan walaupun visa tidak disetujui oleh Kedutaan, demikian juga dengan biaya deposit hotel, tiket pesawat, land arrangement, maupun biaya lainnya yang telah dibayarkan karena adanya tenggat waktu yang tidak sesuai dengan waktu penyelesaian proses visa dari kedutaan.

Apabila peserta tidak melakukan Pembayaran tagihan hingga batas waktu yang diberikan, maka dengan berat hati peserta telah membatalkan trip dan PT WISATA IMPIAN UNIVERSAL berhak menjual kembali ketersediaan seat tersebut untuk memenuhi kuota minimum.

Peserta wajib melunasi seluruh biaya perjalanan paling lambat 30 (tiga puluh) hari sebelum tanggal keberangkatan trip, walaupun visa masih dalam proses.

Pendaftaran yang dilakukan kurang dari 30 hari sebelum tanggal keberangkatan trip harus langsung dibayar lunas.

Peserta berusia 63 tahun keatas wajib membawa pendamping dan didaftarkan oleh pendamping tersebut, demi kenyamanan saat tour berlangsung dan mengurangi resiko salah pemahaman terhadap syarat dan ketentuan yang berlaku di PT. WISATA IMPIA UNIVERSAL.

• Peserta wajib mengikuti prosedur pembayaran yang berlaku. Pembayaran resmi hanyabisa dilakukan melalui website resmi di wishtravelers.com   dan Wishtravelers tidak bertanggung jawab atas pembayaran yang dilakukan ke nomor rekening selain atas nama PT. WISATA IMPIAN UNIVERSAL .

Deviasi dapat dilakukan apabila peserta telah melakukan pembayaran deposit dan melampirkan paspor.

Deviasi dapat dilakukan apabila jumlah Peserta trip yang berangkat dan yang pulang telah memenuhi kuota dari ketentuan maskapai penerbangan.

Apabila deviasi sudah disetujui maka akan peserta wajib membayar biaya sesuai dengan ketentuan maskapai penerbangan dan tidak dapat kembali ke jadwal semula.

Deviasi bagi peserta yang akan mempersingkat jadwal trip tidak akan diberikan pengurangan biaya dari paket semula.

Jika peserta melakukan perpanjangan (extend) dari jadwal trip yang telah ditentukan maka PT WISATA IMPIAN UNIVERSAL tidak menjamin ketersediaan seat pesawat. Jika permintaan deviasi tidak disetujui oleh pihak maskapai penerbangan, makan jadwal penerbangan akan kembali ke jadwal semula.

Jika Peserta melakukan perpanjangan (Extend) maka PT WISATA IMPIAN UNIVERSAL tidak bertanggung jawab atas segala yang terjadi kepada peserta setelah trip berakhir, dan peserta wajib melampirkan surat yang menyatakan bahwa peserta sudah tidak berada di bawah pengawasan PT WISATA IMPIAN UNIVERSAL.

Jika Peserta membatalkan Trip sebelum tanggal keberangkatan, maka seluruh biaya yang telah masuk bersifat hangus atau tidak dapat dikembalikan  (Non-Refundable) .

Hal diatas juga berlaku untuk:

Peserta yang  mengganti paket / jenis tour dianggap membatalkan trip yang telah terdaftar.

Peserta yang terlambat memberikan persyaratan visa dari batas waktu yang telah di tentukan PT WISATA IMPIAN UNIVERSAL dan mengakibatkan Peserta tidak dapat berangkat tepat pada waktunya karena permohonan visa nya masih diproses oleh Kedutaan.

Pembatalan yang dilakukan oleh salah satu pihak (Peserta atau PT WISATA IMPIAN UNIVERSAL) karena bencana alam, perang, wabah penyakit, aksi teroris atau keadaan ‘ Force Majeure ’  lainnya, maka ketentuan-ketentuan di atas dapat berubah sewaktu-waktu tanpa pemberitahuan terlebih dahulu, tergantung dari kebijakan pihak airlines, hotel dan agen di luar negeri.

(Force Majeure; Suatu kejadian yang terjadi di luar kemampuan manusia dan tidak dapat dihindarkan sehingga suatu kegiatan tidak dapat dilaksanakan sebagaimana mestinya ).

PT WISATA IMPIAN UNIVERSAL berhak membatalkan pendaftaran Peserta tour yang belum membayar uang muka, tagihan atau pelunasan sesuai batas waktu yang telah ditentukan PT WISATA IMPIAN UNIVERSAL

Bila permohonan visa ditolak, sedangkan tiket sudah diterbitkan sebelum permohonan visa disetujui, sehubungan dengan tenggat waktu yang ditentukan Maskapai penerbangan (airlines), maka biaya visa tidak dapat dikembalikan dan Peserta tetap dikenakan biaya pembatalan dan administrasi sesuai dengan ketentuan yang berlaku.

Pengembalian Uang

Tiket pesawat udara, kereta api, dan transportasi lainnya serta akomodasi yang tidak terpakai tidak dapat diuangkan kembali (non-refundable).

Bila calon Peserta tour berhalangan/sakit sebelum tanggal keberangkatan yang dijadwalkan maka pengembalian uang/biaya pembatalan, akan mengacu kepada pasal pembatalan.

Bila ada pelayanan dalam paket yang tidak digunakan oleh para Peserta dikarenakan berhalangan atau sakit selama perjalanan, para Peserta tidak berhak menuntut uang kembali.

Kecelakaan, kehilangan koper dan keterlambatan tibanya koper akibat tindakan pihak maskapai penerbangan atau alat pengangkutan lainnya, maka standard penggantian didasarkan pada ketentuan maskapai penerbangan internasional atau penyedia jasa pengangkutan yang digunakan.

Kehilangan barang pribadi, koper, titipan barang di airport, hotel dan tindakan kriminal yang menimpa Peserta tour selama perjalanan.

Keterlambatan atau pembatalan jadwal penerbangan, dan seluruh kejadian yang terjadi di luar kuasa pihak PT WISATA IMPIAN UNIVERSAL

Perubahan atau berkurangnya acara perjalanan akibat dari bencana alam, kerusuhan dan lain sebagainya yang bersifat ‘ Force Maj eur e’ .

Meninggalkan Peserta akibat sakit yang diderita atau kecelakaan selama dalam tour.

Demi kenyamanan dan kelancaran perencanaan perjalanan tour, PT WISATA IMPIAN UNIVERSAL berhak untuk menerbitkan tiket pesawat, kereta api dan transportasi lainnya, akomodasi, tiket masuk objek wisata tanpa melakukan konfirmasi lisan maupun tertulis kepada pendaftar yang telah melakukan deposit.  

Demi kenyamanan dan kelancaran perencanaan perjalanan tour, PT WISATA IMPIAN UNIVERSAL berhak meminta Peserta tour untuk keluar dari rombongan apabila Peserta tour yang bersangkutan mencoba membuat kerusuhan, mengacaukan acara tour, meminta dengan paksa, dan memberikan informasi yang tidak benar mengenai acara tour, dll.

Mengganti hotel-hotel yang akan digunakan berhubung hotel tersebut sudah penuh dan mengganti dengan hotel lain yang setaraf sesuai dengan pertimbangan dan konfirmasi. Apabila dalam periode tour di kota-kota yang dikunjungi sedang berlangsung pameran/konferensi maka akan diganti dengan hotel-hotel lain yang setaraf di kota-kota terdekat.

Jadwal tour dapat berubah sewaktu-waktu mengikuti kondisi yang memungkinkan dengan tanpa mengurangi isi dalam acara tour tersebut.

Pihak PT WISATA IMPIAN UNIVERSAL berhak menagih selisih harga tour dan lain-lainnya (jika terjadi kenaikan harga tour, airport tax, dll) kepada calon Peserta.

Unless you’re touring Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland separately, most tours of the UK start in London, which frequently competes with Paris as the world’s most visited city.

London is a city of fascinating and diverse neighborhoods, of splendid parks and eye-catching architecture, of the river Thames (which cuts through its heart) and little-known canals, of atmospheric inns and pubs, of world-class museums and art galleries, and, of course, of frequent displays of royalty and grandeur.

London’s Key Sights

Even those who’ve never been to London can probably identify Big Ben, the huge clock that keeps time above the Parliament building; the Tower of London, home to the British Crown Jewels; Tower Bridge, an iconic crossing over the Thames; and Buckingham Palace, one residence of the Queen. The Queen’s Guard, with their red uniforms and bearskin caps and who stand stony faced and ramrod straight, are the subjects of countless photographs.

For those who love history and culture, the enormous British Museum is a must, as is Westminster Abbey. Art lovers gravitate to the National Gallery and the Tate. And everyone wants to see Piccadilly Circus, the Times Square of London.

Chic and sometimes shabby neighborhoods like Soho draw gawkers and shoppers alike, while Hyde Park attracts both lovers of flowers and those who like to listen to the speakers who mount platforms at Speakers’ Corner and say whatever is on their minds, which is often quite a bit.

Beyond London

Most London tours also take in nearby attractions such as Windsor, site of Windsor Castle, where the Queen spends summers; and Winchester, site of an enormous Gothic cathedral.

Wales is King Arthur country, and those who skip it are missing some of the best scenery in the British Isles: mountains, rivers, castles, cliffside ocean views, and narrow winding roads that cry out for the expertise of native left-side-of-the-road drivers. One of the top spots for views is the tip of the Gower Peninsula, called Worm’s head, which is ideal for hiking on a misty, breezy day.

Snowdonia is a section of Wales known for its scenic Snowdon Mountain Railway, which climbs to the peak of Snowdon Mountain. You can also visit the unusual village of Portmerion, used as the setting for the old cult-favorite TV series, The Prisoner. And be sure to take a picture of the railway station marking the 58-character village of lanfair­pwllgwyn­gyllgo­gery­chwyrn­drobwll­llanty­silio­gogo­goch, the world’s longest town name.

Scotland is known as the birthplace of golf at St. Andrews, where the Old Course is still playable with advance reservations; the nation that produces the finest whisky (Scotch); and the land where men wear plaid skirts (kilts), play bagpipes, toss cabers, and “bag” Munros, which equates to climbing any 3,000-foot-plus-high mountain in Scotland.

Edinburgh and Beyond

Most Scotland tours start in Edinburgh, home of Edinburgh Castle, the fortress that dominates the skyline. The Royal Military Tattoo, the Edinburgh International Festival and the Fringe International Festival draw thousands of visitors each August.

North of Edinburgh are Loch Ness, with its famous mythical (perhaps) monster; the Highlands; and the Whisky Trail, where you can visit a number of Scotch whisky distilleries -- another time when taking a guided tour, and leaving the driving to the fellow who didn’t imbibe, is a very useful idea. Windswept and remote Scottish islands -- the Arans, the Shetlands, and the Hebrides -- are a special treat for nature lovers.

Northern Ireland

Peace seems to have settled into Northern Ireland after decades of Protestant versus Catholic violence in the late 20th century.

The region’s top draw is the Giant’s Causeway, the stuff of myth and legend about a giant named Finn McCool building a causeway of some 40,000 basalt columns leading across the sea toward Scotland. One of Britain’s most remarkable natural attractions, the Causeway is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Leading up to it is the Causeway Coastal Route, a 120-mile scenic drive along the northern Irish coast that features cliffs, waterfalls and mountain streams.

It was like heritage walk of the Major medieval Cities of England Scotland and Ireland. Many of Its Castles Like Windsor ,Alnwick and Ross Castle of Killarney Ireland and Palaces Looked almost surrealistic and we felt as if we have taken back in Time to the medieval Ages. The Tour Guides were thorough professional even though they had to shuffle between English and spanish in their Narrative they did a wonderful job.

Essential Britain & Ireland

Hello, We have just returned from the UK, we thoroughly enjoyed our tour and excursions, except for the last day in Edinburgh were on the morning of 24th Aug we went to the dinning room with our tour group to find no breakfast, and no porter to help with our luggage, we were drop off at the train station were our tour guide left us at the top of the train station and we were told to make our own way to the platform with all our luggage and no assistance. After fining the correct train there was no assistance what so ever to board the train, and being a bank holiday in the UK the trains were absolutely jam packed a very uncomfortable ride and very disappointed and very hot. Once arriving back into London, we need to unload our own luggage, and had find the Cosmos tour guide ourselves, she was un certain of where to go and what to do due to the public holiday as the pickup point had changed, we had to drag our luggage down some stairs in 32 degree heat, a homeless man luckily assisted us to get down the stairs, there were a couple of elderly gents who were very distressed as you can understand, very unprofessionally organised. We had a wonderful trip but the last day spoiled our vacation, and the 14 other passengers on the tour who were also on the train agreed this should have been better organised knowing it was a public holiday in the UK

Everything about the trip was good, including the weather, and Greg even influenced that, playing the Beatles "Here comes the sun" to start every morning. Full breakfast was good fuel for the day. Greg was enthusiastic, knowledgable, amusing, and patient with tardy guests. The coach drivers (Liam and Tommy) were superb. The porterage was a very nice touch.

We enjoyed the tour very much!! Ailenn and ashley did an excellent job keeping the tour group of 51 people informed of times and events. Everyday was packed full of things to see and do. We fill maybe there was to much down time in some areas to walk around-could have been alittle shorter so we could get to our housing for the night alittle sooner. We were alittle disappointed that they showed no highlights of the city of london. We saw them on our own

Britain and Ireland Experience (12 Days)

Greg made this a wonderful experience. He is one of the most organised, & factually correct guides we could have hoped for. He had the ideal personality for this job, as everyone felt included and equally shared his time with every person on the trip. I was travelling alone and was not sure of how this would affect my experience. Greg made sure that everyone got the chance to sit with new people, which made the "getting to know you" so much easier. I believe that Greg hast he skills to go far in this industry and I sincerely hope that I will encounter him on a trip in The future. He took the time st the end of our trip to say a fond farewell over some drinks. Coming home from our Scottish entertainment is a memory I will never forget. Man we had some fun on this trip & it was all because of Greg.

Best of Britain (11 Days)

Very good but hectic, I feel it needs more two night stops. Some of the hotels need to be upgraded to real showers. I am a 75 yr old and only five feet and could not get into the baths that have the showers in the bathtub. Something you should think about when booking overnight accommodations..

Exploring Dublin, United Kingdom and Paris

We had an amazing time on her trip. Everything promised was delivered. Thing that we didn’t know was that we would be transferring to different groups. Initially this was confusing, but I do have to say that all the transitions were very smooth. We went to many beautiful pieces and met many beautiful people. generally are gods more helpful and even caring. I would recommend this tour.

Essential Britain

The tour content was great although a wee bit to much shopping for us. The guide Stewart was tremendous and was the driver who was just as knowledgeable. We hope to enjoy another next year. Thanks to all.

5 Day Skye & Highland Fling

I wanted to explore the Scottish highlands but was a bit worried about public transport timing and accessibility so I decided to book a tour instead. And I was glad that I did! The fact that Branka was there to guide the group, telling us the folklore and history of the sights we were seeing just enriched the whole experience. We were blessed with great weather (your mileage may vary about this but someone in our tour must have a guardian angel looking out for them weather-wise) the majority of our trip and although I am not as fit as most people in the group I still had a lot of fun exploring the places we visited.

Tom Walker has announced several dates for his 2024 tour, in support of his second album 'I Am'. The album features his songs 'Burn' and 'Freaking Out.

Paloma Faith

Paloma Faith has announced a huge 26-date tour for Spring 2024. The 'Can't Rely On You' singer will head out in April 2024 in Reading and finish up in June 2024 in Lincoln.

Tate McRae has announced her 'Think Later' tour, in support of her second album which was released in December 2023. The singer will perform at several dates across the UK in April.

Blue have announced dates across the UK, performing their greatest hits from the last 20 years. The band start their tour in April.

Girls Aloud

Girls Aloud have announced they will be reuniting for a tour in 2024. The tour is called 'The Girls Aloud Show' and will see the group performing many of their fantastic hits in celebration of their late bandmate Sarah Harding.

Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj will be going on her 'Pink Friday 2 World Tour' in May 2024, including UK dates, in Manchester, Birmingham and London.

Jonas Brothers 2024

Nick, Kevin and Joe Jonas, otherwise known as the Jonas Brothers, will play four UK dates in September 2024 (rescheduled from June), in Manchester, London, Birmingham and Glasgow.

P!nk is bringing her 'Summer Carnival Tour' back to the UK for 2024. The singer will be supported by The Script, Gayle and DJ and producer KidCutUp. Her tour takes place throughout June 2024.

Anne-Marie has announced a continuation of her 'Unhealthy Club' tour. This new summer tour will see the singer performing at festivals and other outdoor locations. Her summer tour will take place in June and July 2024.

Taylor Swift - 'The Eras Tour' 2024

Taylor Swift has now announced several UK dates for her 'Eras' tour. The singer will be coming to Liverpool, Edinburgh, Cardiff and London in June and August 2024.

Tom Grennan - Gunnersbury Park

Tom Grennan has announced his biggest headline gig ever at Gunnersbury Park, London on Saturday 10th August 2024.

Busted will be going on tour in the summer of 2024, starting on 17th May in Marlow and continuing throughout the summer until 31st August in Scarborough.

Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake has announced several dates in the UK as part of 'The Forget Tomorrow' world tour. He will be playing Birmingham, Manchester and London in August 2024.

Jess Glynne - 'Summer 2024'

Jess Glynne has announced outdoor dates for summer 2024. The singer will start in June 2024 in Scarborough and perform across England and Wales, finishing in London in August.

Becky Hill - Arena tour 2024

Becky Hill has announced nine UK dates for her first arena tour in 2024. They take place in October 2024.

Dua Lipa has announced a one-off gig at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 17th October, where fans can expect her to perform many of the new songs from her album 'Radical Optimism'.

'Jumping All Over The World' legends Scooter are heading around the UK and Ireland on their 30th anniversary tour - titled 'Thirty, Rough and Dirty'. Dates take place in October and November.

Charli XCX has announced four extra dates for her 'BRAT' UK tour, with special guest Shygirl. The singer, known for hits such as 'Boom Clap', and 'Speed Drive' from the Barbie movie, will be performing in Manchester, London, Birmingham and Glasgow.

Usher has announced several dates in the UK in March, April and May 2025. Tickets are now on sale for all dates.

2023 UK and European shows ANNOUNCED

UPDATE: Due to incredible interest in the 2023 UK/European shows, extra dates have been added for Barcelona, Naples, Milan and Amsterdam ahead of the general sale, which begins at 10am local time tomorrow (Thursday). See below for details.

The morning after completing their run of six sold out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium, the band have announced further European and UK stadium shows for their Music Of The Spheres World Tour in summer 2023.

The dates include the tour’s first visits to Portugal, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and the Netherlands, alongside UK shows in Manchester and Cardiff.

Tickets for the new European and UK shows will go on sale at 10am local time on Thursday, 25 August. Full details can be found on our Tour page .
