BTS has now added a new stop on their world tour! The group will be performing in Rotterdam in July as part of their “Map of the Soul” tour.

BTS will be embarking on their world tour “BTS Map of the Soul Tour”!

On January 22, Big Hit Entertainment shared a poster revealing the dates and locations for BTS’s upcoming world tour.

The first announcement includes a total of 37 shows in 17 cities around the world. The tour kicks off at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul on April 11, and the group will then move on to perform at stadiums in the United States, Canada, Japan, United Kingdom, Germany, and Spain.

The dates and venues of the tour can be found below:

Concerts on June 13 and 14 are included in the poster without a location, raising anticipation for where they will be held.

A source from Big Hit Entertainment shared, “After successfully wrapping up their ‘Love Yourself’ tour last year, [BTS] will begin their new ‘Map of the Soul Tour.’ We have only revealed the dates and locations that have been confirmed, and the other dates and locations that are confirmed at a later time will be revealed separately.”

K-Pop superstars BTS have announced their return to the U.S. and Europe with their ‘Map Of The Soul’ Tour in April. The outing follows last year’s massive BTS World Tour ‘Love Yourself: Speak Yourself’ which sold out 6 stadium shows in the US in minutes.

The ‘Map Of The Soul’ tour will be their biggest North American tour ever and kicks off on 25 April in Santa Clara. The outing will also travel to Los Angeles, Dallas, Orlando, Atlanta, New Jersey, Washington D.C., and Toronto before wrapping on 6 June in Chicago. Please see full itinerary below.

BTS Global Official Fanclub Army Membership users will have the first chance to participate in the Global Official Fanclub Army Membership Verified Fan Presale beginning at 3pm local time on Wednesday, 5 February through 11pm local time on Thursday, 6 February. It's a sad day for the BTS Army. The K-pop group just announced that they will be cancelling their Map of the Soul world tour. Big Hit Music made the announcement via Weverse on Thursday.

"Our company has worked hard to resume preparations for the BTS MAP OF THE SOUL TOUR, knowing that all fans have been waiting eagerly and long for the tour," Big Hit said in the statement. "However, due to changing circumstances beyond our control, it has become difficult to resume performances at the same scale and timeline as previously planned. Therefore we must announce the cancellation of the BTS Map of The Soul Tour."

BTS’ massive world tour was first announced at the beginning of 2020, with the band set to perform 38 concerts across Asia, North America and Europe. The tour was set to begin in Seoul, South Korea, in April 2020, but all four shows were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic . The rest of the tour’s schedule had been postponed indefinitely before Thursday's announcement.

Ticket-holders are expected to receive an email regarding refunds for the tour, which many have been waiting over a year to attend.

"Once again, please allow us to offer our sincere apology to all fans who have waited for the BTS MAP OF THE SOUL TOUR to resume," wrote Big Hit.

In July, the group revealed that they almost named their fans something other than Army . During an appearance on  The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon , RM, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, Jungkook, Suga and V revealed that their fanbase was nearly called "The Bells."

"When you say BTS, it stands for 'bangtan' in Korean, not 'behind-the scenes.' I mean, for your information," RM explained. "It stands for 'bangtan,' and when you say 'bell' in Korean, it sounds like 'bang wool.' It starts with the same word, 'bang.'"

"So when we think of the fan name, someone brings up the idea, like, 'What about the bell thing?' Everybody rings their bells and [we're] like, 'Make some noise!' and the Bells are like 'ring-a-ling-a-ling,'" he continued. "But thank God that [it changed], ARMY is so much better."

BTS Officially Announces "Map of the Soul" Tour Dates, Starting in Seoul

It's happening, ARMY . BTS has officially released their upcoming tour dates, so hopefully you've been doing some saving.

On Jan. 21, the seven-member Korean group finally shared when fans will be able to see them live this year, after literal months of teasing. Back in December, the Big Hit Twitter account teased the announcement with a tour poster and ominous message: "April 2020. Stay tuned."

Fan speculation stewed for weeks, hitting a fever pitch in mid-January, when rumored leaks appeared to crop up on sites like VIP Nation .

And then the billboards came to stoke fan excitement even further — bright, purple-hued signage in Orlando, Santa Clara, and Chicago, featuring the unshadowed members of BTS with specific city dates . ARMYs then began trending #BTSTOUR2020 , with more than 250,000 tweets using the hashtag.

Now, it's confirmed that BTS will be taking their "Map of the Soul" tour to cities across the globe, starting with four dates in Seoul starting on April 11. North American fans, meanwhile, will be able to see the group in Santa Clara, Los Angeles, Dallas, Orlando, Atlanta, New Jersey, Washington D.C., Toronto, and Chicago, before BTS heads to more dates in Europe and Asia. Currently, there's a question mark by two dates: June 13 and 14.

For the general public, tickets will go on sale on Friday, February 7 at 3 p.m. local time at LiveNation.com . Per an official press release, members of the Global Official Fanclub will get first dibs on Ticketmaster Verified Fan presale tickets, beginning at 3 p.m. local time on Wednesday, February 5 until 11 p.m. local time on Thursday, February 6. Next up is the General Verified Fan presale, which starts at 3 p.m. local time on Thursday, February 6 through 11 p.m. local time that same day. Registration for both is open now until Sunday, Feb. 2 at 10 p.m. ET. The release notes further that "GLOBAL OFFICIAL FANCLUB ARMY MEMBERSHIP and application for ARMY MEMBER PRESALE via Weply are required in order to register for Ticketmaster Verified Fan." The tour news is just the latest component of BTS's comeback, following the releases of Black Swan and its accompanying art film, the global art project Connect BTS , and their first comeback trailer, Interlude: Shadow. Their new album, Map of the Soul: 7 , drops on Feb. 21.

BTS  has announced 37 dates for their 2020 Map of the Soul Tour.  

A tie-in with last year’s Map of the Soul: Persona and the upcoming Map of the Soul: 7, set to arrive on Feb. 21, the tour will begin April 11 at Seoul’s Olympic Stadium. The septet will continue to tour the world throughout the next few months, with the final announced dates bringing Map of the Soul through the first week of September at the Tokyo Dome. During the entire Map of the Soul concert series, the Billboard 200 chart-toppers will head to 17 cities. 

An unnamed event taking place around BTS ’ anniversary is also hinted to, with mysterious question marks appearing on the tour’s poster for June 13-14.

While general tickets go on-sale Feb. 7 at 3 p.m. local time, this will be the first tour from BTS to utilize pre-public ticketing through the Global Official Fanclub ARMY and through general fan verification. Official ARMY members will be able to purchase presale tickets through Ticketmaster Verified Fan beginning at 3 p.m. local time on Feb. 5 through 11 p.m. local time on Feb. 6. That same day, General Verified Fan presale will begin at 3 p.m. local time through 11 p.m. local time that same day. BTS Global Official Fanclub ARMY membership presale and General Verified Fan registration is currently open until Feb. 2 at 10 p.m. ET.

BTS Map of the Soul Tour Postponed

Due to public health concerns regarding the spread of COVID-19, the BTS Map of the Soul Tour Concert scheduled for Levi’s® Stadium on Sunday, April 26, has been postponed.

Today global superstars  BTS  announce their return to the U.S. and Europe with their  MAP OF THE SOUL TOUR . The outing follows last year’s massive  BTS WORLD TOUR ‘LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF ‘ which sold out 6 stadium shows in the U.S. in minutes.

MAP OF THE SOUL TOUR will be their biggest North American tour ever and kicks off with two shows  in Santa Clara at Levi’s Stadium on Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th.  The outing will also travel to Los Angeles, Dallas, Orlando, Atlanta, New Jersey, Washington D.C., and Toronto before wrapping on June 6th in Chicago. Tickets can be purchased through the Ticketmaster Verified Fan® platform. BTS GLOBAL OFFICIAL FANCLUB ARMY MEMBERSHIP users will have the first chance to participate in the GLOBAL OFFICIAL FANCLUB ARMY MEMBERSHIP VERIFIED FAN PRESALE beginning at 3:00 pm local time on Wednesday, February 5th through 11:00 pm on Thursday, February 6th. The General Verified Fan presale (for non-fan club members) will begin at 3:00 pm on Thursday, February 6th through 11:00 pm that same day.

BTS's 'MAP of the Soul: 7' becomes the first album in Circle/Gaon Chart history to surpass 5 million album sales

BTS  has set a new milestone: They have become the first artist on Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart ) to surpass 5 million album copies.

On November 10, it was revealed that BTS's ' MAP of the Soul: 7 ' became the first album in Circle Chart history to surpass 5 million album sales. This is an amazing feat since this number was reached in just a little over two years since the album was released back in 2020.

Despite the difficulties of the pandemic, and the global group was unable to go on their tour with this album, they were able to reach a significant number of sales.

While netizens were impressed by this accomplishment, fans were happy but also not surprised by the number since 'Map of the Soul: 7' is one of the best, if not the best, albums released by BTS.

MOTS7 is indeed a monster album, and most baby ARMYs gravitate toward it. But... my favorite will always be LY:A because all my life-changing songs are on there. It deserved all its awards, and BTS deserves the world no matter which album becomes the reference for their success! Congratulations, BTS!

BTS Reveals They Had Plans To Visit India

In a latest interview with Spotify, the septet revealed details of their now-canceled ‘Map Of The Soul Tour’

The BTS Indian ARMY finally heard the words they’ve yearned for years. Unfortunately, it hasn’t gone the way they expected it would. 

In an interview with Spotify to promote their forthcoming anthology album Proof, BTS revealed they had plans to visit several countries as part of their ‘Map Of The Soul Tour, and India was part of the list. “We planned to go to Mumbai,” says the group’s leader RM. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns, the pop titans’ long-awaited visit has been delayed indefinitely.

Announced in January 2020, the ‘Map Of The Soul Tour’ included 37 shows in 17 cities, most of them based in North America, Europe and Asia. With Seoul kick-starting things with four shows in April 2020, BTS were all set to perform hits from their chart-topping album Map of the Soul: 7. Unfortunately, due to the rise in COVID-19 cases and the South Korean government’s decision to ban large gatherings, the Seoul shows were called off in February 2020, followed by a postponement of the American dates. The European and Japanese legs of the tour were postponed even before the tickets hit the market.

After nearly two years of postponement, the pop titans officially pulled the plug on their tour over safety and logistical concerns on August 20th, 2021. 

India has been a key contributor towards the group’s unparalleled streaming dominance. In 2020,  India contributed a reported 8.6 million views to the total of 101.1 million garnered in the first 24-hours following the release of “Dynamite’s” music video, becoming the third-highest after Indonesia and the U.S.A. On Spotify, similar diligence was shown with India becoming the second-highest in the world to stream “Dynamite” on the first day of its release. That same year, Spotify announced BTS as the most-streamed act in India overall and the only international act to make the list of top-five most streamed artists in the country. In 2021, BTS was the fourth most-streamed artist on the Swedish streaming platform with their record-breaking album Love Yourself: Answer also coming in fourth on the list of India’s most-streamed albums that year.

According to an analysis of YouTube’s data by  JoongAng Ilbo , an affiliate of the  Korea JoongAng Daily ,  India was the second-highest country to have streamed BTS’ official and lyric videos between March 2021 and February 2022 (1,650,000,000 streams), leaving behind countries like the United States and Korea – both of which have continue to host BTS concerts.

Elsewhere on Twitter , based on the total number of retweets and likes by Twitter accounts in India between January 1st and November 15th, 2021, pop titans BTS ruled music conversations on the microblogging platform last year. Group member Jimin’s tweet updating the BTS ARMY about his new haircut became the Most Retweeted Tweet in music conversations. The crown of the Most Liked Tweet also went to BTS with Jimin and Jung Kook’s airport outfit update right before the group departed for New York to deliver their address and performance at the United Nations General Assembly. Attesting to their unshakable influence in India, BTS was Twitter India’s Most Tweeted About Music Artist of 2021

As several fans worldwide continue to anticipate a live performance in the city, the septet’s highly anticipated anthology album Proof is all set to release on June 10th. “The BTS anthology album that embodies the history of the group will be released as they begin a new chapter as an artist that has been active for nine years to look back on their past endeavors,” the group’s label BigHit Music revealed in a press statement. The 3-CD album features songs from throughout the group’s discography, including three new tracks and demo versions of their previous releases.

The first chapter of this story, “MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA”, sang about the world and the joy of love, and the discovery of the self as it is displayed to the world; “MAP OF THE SOUL : 7” now turns inward to the shadow within in a candid acknowledgement that it, too, is part of the self. “MAP OF THE SOUL : 7” looks back on the past seven years of BTS since their debut as seven members of one team. The journey was not always smooth sailing, and there were special travails that they had to endure in their rise as global superstars. Now, understanding that the scars left by those hardships is a part of their real selves, BTS accepts both “the self I want to show” and the “self I want to scorn” to at last tell their own story of finding their “real and complete selves”. • Map of the Soul Tour

BTS Map of the Soul Tour was a planned worldwide concert tour headlined by South Korean band BTS to promote their Map of the Soul series, including their Map of the Soul: Persona EP, and Map of the Soul: 7 studio album. The all-stadium tour was announced on January 22, 2020 and was set to begin on April 11, 2020 at the Seoul Olympic Stadium in Seoul , South Korea until it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic . A two-day online concert, titled BTS Map of the Soul ON:E , was held on October 10–11, 2020 in replacement of the postponed world tour. In total, the concert had an attendance of 993,000 viewers from 191 countries and territories. The postponed world tour was cancelled on August 19, 2021 due to uncertain circumstances and concerns over COVID-19 .

On January 21, 2020, the group first announced 38 tour dates spanning across Asia, North America, and Europe. The tour features extended North American and European visits as compared to previous tours due to popular demand. [1] [2] On February 27, 2020, the group cancelled all four shows in South Korea amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic . [3] On March 26, 2020, the group postponed all 18 shows in North America as the COVID-19 pandemic continued to raise health concerns. [4] On April 28, 2020, BTS announced that the entire tour would be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [5] On August 19, 2021, the group's label Big Hit Music announced through Weverse that the entire world tour was cancelled due to uncertain circumstances. [6]

BTS Map of the Soul ON:E was a 2-day virtual pay-per-view concert headlined by South Korean band BTS to promote their Map of the Soul series, including their Map of the Soul: Persona EP, and Map of the Soul: 7 studio album in replacement of the postponed world tour. The concert was broadcast live from the KSPO Dome in Seoul on October 10–11, 2020. It was initially intended to have both a limited number of in-person tickets with a simultaneous online livestream but Big Hit Entertainment later cancelled the offline portion of the concert due to tightened COVID-19 pandemic government restrictions. [7] [8] The concert had different set lists each day and the production costs were an estimated 8 times higher than for their previous online show, BangBangCon: The Live. [7] In total, the concert was attended by 993,000 viewers from 191 countries and territories. [9]

The two-and-a-half-hour show began with " On " and focused on songs from the group's most recent album, "Map of the Soul: 7," such as "N.O" and " Black Swan ." For the hip-hop hit "UGH!", rappers Suga , RM , and J-Hope formed a group, while Jin , Jungkook , V , and Jimin sang the soft-pop ballad "Zero O' Clock." Jimin's debut of his dance performance for "Filter" was the show's high point. For their solo performances, RM, Suga, Jungkook, Jin, V, and J-Hope all chose different songs from the same song list: " Persona ," "Shadow," “Inner Child,” "My Time," "Moon," and "Ego." The visual effects of AR and XR extend beyond simply enhancing the scenery. Dark screens resembling underwater scenery filled up the sides of the stage as the septet sang "Black Swan," while with "Dope," the large screen behind the stage made it appear as though the members were dancing on an elevator as it shot upward as RM was smashing his "Persona" stage and a huge figure exactly like him suddenly appeared in front of the stage as planets and asteroids hovered above Jin as he sang to "Moon." The band's biggest hits, " Dionysus ," " DNA ," " Boy With Luv ," and "No More Dream," were all included in the 23-song set list for the evening, as were the three songs from Saturday's encore stage: "Butterfly," " Run ," and " Dynamite ." " Spring Day " and " Idol ," as well as the group's most recent hit, were performed on the second day. [10]
