Recent tour reviews

This is the third time I've seen this wonderful band but the first time I've actually paid to see them exclusively. The other two were at festivals.

What you see with Hayley Williams and her merry crew is what you get. A powerful, energetic, sometimes outrageous performance. The music they wrote in their first three albums contributes heavily to this. They made lively punk-pop music and their shows reflect that.

But something changed this time around. Paramore's most recent piece of work, After Laughter, completely changes direction from what they're historically used to providing. While it's a solid album in its own right, it doesn't blend well with the old stuff.

So the group has made a similar switch in their live shows. Two songs from RIOT!, one from Brand New Eyes, nothing from All We Know Is Falling in the setlist. After Laughter was played almost in its entirety, turning this more into a pop concert than a punk one.

Don't get me wrong, Hayley and crew still provide a great night of entertainment and their audiences are equally as explosive. It's just now expectations need to be managed accordingly. For some, this is the end of the line. For me? I'm not sure. But if you come looking for one of the best rock acts on the planet, you may leave feeling a little disappointed.

Absolutely amazing. I was standing and I was very close to the front. The whole stage presence of the band was incredible and Hayley Williams especially connected so well with the audience. I was looking foward to this show since September, and God was it worth the wait. I’ve seen a lot of bands in my life, but they are right up there with the likes of Iron Maiden, Bon Jovi and Guns n Roses. If all the concerts I’ve been to, this just might be my favourite yet.

And when Hayley chose someone from the crowd to come up on stage and sing Misery Buisness I was jumping as high as I could shouting “ Pick me, pick me!”. Although I was not picked, it didn’t matter, it was still in my eyes, the best band I’ve seen yet. Unfortunately I’m only 15 but if I could drive, I would’ve booked tickets for another show that same night.

Being able to jump and sing to songs like Still into You, Misery Buisness, Ignorance and That’s what you Get was an experience I could not have imagined to be any better. Thank you for an amazing show Paramore. I’ll see you next time

Thanks for the Memories BECAUSE THEY WERE SO GREAT | Monumentour 2014:

On August the 2nd, 2014, with a full bladder and a happy heart I arrived at the Austin360 amphitheater to live out a dream – See Fall Out Boy perform live.

After a brief visit to a way-too-hot Port O Potty and a little loss of dignity, that dream was well on its way to becoming true.

I’m sad to say that I missed the opening band (New Politics). I’m going to go ahead and put the blame for that one on my mom. She’s perpetually late to everything. And yes, that’s right ladies and gents, I do indeed go to concerts with my mom. She can hang 10x better than most people I know and we have virtually the same taste in music. Anyways, after finding our seats (because this was a seated venue which, *annoyed sigh*, we’ll get into another time) it was time for the second band to take the stage. And let me tell you, they made themselves known by firing confetti guns that nearly gave me a heart attack. FOUR TIMES. FOUR MINI HEART ATTACKS. I suppose I should probably tell you that the confetti firing band was Paramore. Maybe you’ve heard of them? Oh, who am I kidding? Everyone knows Paramore, and for good reason.

They’re music is totally energetic and now I can vouch that their performances are too. From the synchronized head banging during Misery Business to the cheesy “we’re all a family” speech, there wasn’t one boring moment during their set. They played both older and newer songs, keeping up the energy and excitement the whole time. Hayley and the boys are so cute when they interact. I have this fantasy that they eat pizza rolls and watch The Simpsons together when they’re not touring. Also, my crush on bassist, Jeremy Davis, only increased when I saw his dance moves. AND THE TATTOOS. MY GOODNESS.

Next up was a music video interlude which I am totally all for. Then, we all went home. JUST KIDDING. After the music videos, the stage lights were dimmed, a creepy voice started talking about fears, and from the center of the platform, four glorious human beings arose. Fall Out Boy started their performance by playing The Phoenix and from there played incredible song after incredible song (because that’s the only kind of song they write). They even did a Queen cover at one point and that is always okay in my book.

I have a lot of feelings about this band. I’ve been a fan since the days of guyliner (ehem, Pete) and novels-for-song titles. On one hand, they make me feel totally hardcore because of their bangin music but on the other hand, I feel like a gigantic puddle of fangirl because they’re all really adorable. I mean, at a certain angle, Joe looks like Patrick Dempsey circa Can’t Buy Me Love, and then you’ve got the precious teddy bear on drums. Andy wore a stoic, almost grumpy, face of concentration for most of the show only to smile and melt my heart at the end.

Next you have the ball of cheese that is Pete. He did most of the talking throughout the performance and the lil’ cutie spewed cliché after cliché about following your dreams and “choosing your own fucking happiness” and it was glorious.

Do I even need to explain Patrick’s preciousness? I swear, he and Johnny Depp are the only two people in the world who can work a fedora. I just want to hug him and cuddle him and kiss him gently on the forehead AND THEN HE HAD TO GO AND DO A THING LIKE BREAK OUT HIS DRUM SKILLS. Hot damn. He and Andy did an incredible drum sesh/ mash up thing with Jay Z’s 99 Problems. Super cool.

Overall, Fall Out Boy performed so well. I’m just sad I haven’t seen them perform live sooner. They seem like amazing people and they deserve every single fan that filled up the crowd.

Paramore Announce 2023 Tour Dates

Paramore have announced a North American arena tour in support of their forthcoming album, This Is Why . The new set of dates kick off May 23 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and will take the band through cities including New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Toronto, and Austin, with openers including Bloc Party , Foals , the Linda Lindas , and Genesis Owusu. A portion of ticket sales for all North American shows will be donated to Support + Feed and Reverb . Check out all of the upcoming dates below.

Paramore is currently on a tour of smaller venues in North American cities. The band has also been announced as a headliner for the inaugural Adjacent Music Festival , taking place in New Jersey during Memorial Day weekend (May 27-28) next year. This Is Why , the band’s follow-up to 2017’s After Laughter , is out February 10.

Opening for Taylor Swift’s stadium tour won’t be Paramore fans’ only opportunity to see the band live next year: The recently reunited group has announced an extensive North American tour for 2023.

The 25-date arena trek kicks off May 23 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and concludes Aug. 2 in St. Paul, Minnesota, with the band making stops at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Austin’s Moody Center, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, and more. Paramore will also headline at Atlantic City’s Adjacent Festival , plus whatever other festival gigs Hayley Williams and company might pick up along the way.

Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams welcomed the four-time NBA champion and her friend Curry to the stage for one of the last songs of the night, much to the delight of the sold-out crowd.

“From the moment that Steph gets the mic, this is no longer a Paramore show,” Williams told the audience. “This is a Steph Curry show, all right?”

The interactive “Misery Business” bridge has become a staple of Paramore’s tour this summer. The band typically invites a fan from the audience to show off their pipes, but Williams has also given the honors to Lil Uzi Vert, who performed on stage in New York earlier this summer.

According to Ayesha Curry, the group has been one of their faves since they began dating.

Ayesha thanked the group and Williams on social media for the “full circle moment,” and “one of the coolest nights.”

Steph has had a busy offseason. He recently celebrated his 12th wedding anniversary in Greece and sunk a hole-in-one on the way to winning a coveted golf tournament .

Curry’s musical performance also comes less than a week after he starred in the music video for Houston rapper Tobe Nwigwe’s “Lil Fish, Big Pond.”

As soon as Taylor Swift confirmed that Paramore would be joining her on the European leg of The Eras Tour, fans have been desperate to find out what songs Hayley Williams, Zac Farro and Taylor York would perform. As one of the most iconic pop punk bands of all time, Paramore have hundreds of songs (and a recent Taylor Swift / Hayley collab) to choose from.

Paramore actually supported Taylor at her first two Eras Tour shows in Glendale, Arizona but their setlist has changed since then. What songs are on Paramore's Eras Tour setlist?

How long is Paramore's setlist on The Eras Tour?

Paramore launched their first performances at The Eras Tour in Glendale with an all-killer-no-filler setlist. As for Europe, they have switched out three songs but the setlist length remains the same. The setlist is nine songs long and it includes songs from every Paramore album except for their debut All We Know Is Falling .

Smash hits like 'Still Into You' are interspersed with recent singles like 'This Is Why'. Paramore's Talking Heads cover of 'Burning Down the House' also makes the cut.

In terms of times, Paramore's setlist is 40 minutes long. On their first night in Paris, they took to the stage at 18:45 and left at 19:25.

Have Paramore made changes to their Eras Tour setlist?

As we've mentioned above, Paramore's original Eras Tour setlist in Glendale was slightly different to their Paris setlist. As for which songs they cut from Glendale, 'Decode', 'Rose-Colored Boy' and 'Misery Business' have been switched out in favour of 'Burning Down the House', 'Caught in the Middle' and 'Brick By Boring Brick'.

Paramore Cut A Beloved Song From Their Eras Tour Setlist

Paramore is on the road again. Over a year after opening the first two nights of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in March 2023, the alt-rock group is back for a longer stint. Paramore recently joined Swift on the European leg of the tour, which will last from May 9 to August 20. Similar to Swift altering her own hours-long set , the band also made some notable tweaks to their setlist. (Warning: If you’re a Riot! stan, this change might sting a bit.)

Shortly after Paramore’s May 9 show in Paris, fans revealed their updated setlist — and this new sweet interaction between members (and new couple) Hayley Williams and Taylor York — on social media. Here are the nine songs they’re performing now as Swift’s opener:

• “Hard Times” (plus “Heart Of Glass”)
• “Burning Down The House”
• “Still Into You”
• “Caught In The Middle”
• “Brick By Boring Brick”
• “The Only Exception”
• “That’s What You Get”
• “Ain’t It Fun”

While this roster has its highs, some fans immediately noticed a disappointing difference. The band removed three iconic tracks from their former set — “Decode,” “Rose-Colored Boy,” and “Misery Business.” Paramore replaced these songs with two new releases, such as their cover of Talking Heads’ “Burning Down The House” (which appeared on A24’s tribute album for the disbanded group ) and their fresh take on Blondie’s “Heart Of Glass.”

For the last slot, they replaced After Laughter’s “Rose-Colored Boy” with “Caught In The Middle,” another hidden gem from the same album.

It’s a bit surprising to see them put their most well-known single “Misery Business” on the back burner. Then again, Williams has always had a polarizing relationship with that song , which has made and on-and-off appearance during their live shows for years. As for the rest of the setlist, it’s pretty solid; though, there’s so many other riveting hits in their discography that could’ve easily made the cut as well.

Paramore’s appearance on Swift’s tour comes after a month of breakup speculations . Luckily, the group is still a united front, and have showed hints that new music might be on the horizon . Now, that’s an announcement to patiently wait for — even if it takes a while.

Kezia Is the Bay’s Fresh New Voice of ‘Rock’N’B’

Rising singer Kezia is clear about who she is and what she wants: “I’m Kezia. I’m an artist. I make rock’n’b, and I want you to love yourself and believe you’re hot and sexy and can do anything, always,” she says in a recent interview.

At her first headlining show, May 11 at San Francisco’s Brick & Mortar Music Hall , the singer-songwriter will preview tracks from her upcoming project, showcasing the dreamy sonic world that she’s built for her fans.

In the three years since the release of her Claire EP, Kezia has dropped a number of singles and evolved her sound, an ethereal combination of soft vocals over fuzzy guitar and trap-inspired hi-hats. It’s a fusion that stems from her earliest loves in music

“I remember growing up, riding with my mom listening to the Bay Area alternative music station, Live 105,” she says. She found inspiration in bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus and Paramore — the first band she discovered on her own. She also loved the stacked vocal harmonies of R&B singers like Brandy. Now, she melds these sounds into one that represents her.

Her warm and hazy track “megan fox” has received over 3.6 million streams on Spotify, thanks to a placement on the popular Lorem playlist, which highlights indie artists across genres for a largely Gen Z audience. The placement connected Kezia to fans across the world.

Kezia’s musicality has been a constant in her life — growing from childhood jam sessions on guitar to later studying music in college at Cal Poly Pomona, where she cites a class on the history of American pop music as a turning point. “Learning about the history of rock’n’roll and R&B, it was really fascinating for me to discover that they really sprouted from the same seed,” she says.

It was this newfound knowledge that inspired her to look to the core of the classic music she loves and ask herself why it still resonates with fans after decades. “For a song to be classic and timeless, it has to be real and authentic and punch from the heart,” she says.

Raised in American Canyon, between Napa and Vallejo, Kezia describes diversity and commitment to authenticity as the ethos of the Bay Area — values shapes her creative process. The Bay is a place she considers magical, and she tries to not spend too much time away while pursuing her dreams in Los Angeles. “I think growing up in the Bay Area, you don’t realize that you’re living in a completely different world than the rest of the country until you leave,” she reflects.

Looking back at her early days of performing at underground shows, Kezia says the culture here helped her grow. “People can tell when you’re faking and trying too hard, and they don’t like that,” Kezia notes. “Bay Area crowds will not lie to you, they will walk away.”

Spirituality and getting in tune with herself have been integral to Kezia’s artistic journey. “When I’m in the studio, it’s a very unconscious process,” she shares. “The flow state is real.”

For her, the creative process revolves around letting her spirit guide her, freestyling melodies and letting the rest of the song come. “A mantra that me and my producer on a lot of this next project, Oscar Scheller, will constantly say in the studio is ‘no thoughts.’”

In jam sessions for her upcoming project, some songs came together in a matter of days; others took years to perfect. Kezia mentions the arrangement of a forthcoming track titled “Skywalker,” inspired by a joyous recurring dream. Dreams are a continuous inspiration in Kezia’s world — she describes one of her latest singles, “sweet nothing,” as the feeling of fantasy softening harsh realities.

As she prepares for her headlining show, Kezia draws upon her background in acting to get into that flow state on stage. While rehearsing, she’s also focused on more than how she’s going to sound or look. “Music is really so important to the spiritual health of the world, and it provides a great service,” she says. “Anytime you’re sharing or channeling your gifts, it’s always going to be spiritually healthy for you.”

Kezia views her fans as peers who see themselves in the lyrics; she wants her songs to be as empowering for them as they are for her. “At many points in my life, certain songs have been a friend to me,” she says. “I just hope that my songs can be that for people when they feel like nobody understands them, to inspire them to see themselves clearly and to love themselves more deeply and to honor their own inner nature.”

Connecting with her fans after the show is always a highlight for Kezia. “I love the community that we’ve created,“ she says. “One of the most beautiful things about music is that it’s always existed to be shared amongst the community, and that’s why I’m really excited to play my show.”

Who is Paramore, Taylor Swift’s support act on Eras Tour?

The concerts commence with a four night run in Paris on 9 May and will then take in countries such as Germany, Sweden, Italy, Portugal, Spain and the UK.

A five night spell at a sold out Wembley Stadium will bring the curtain down at the end of August before the 34-year-old takes a break before heading back on the road in Canada in November.

Paramore to open every night

Rock trio Paramore have been selected to open for the 34-year-old on the European leg with the US formed band in existence since is 2004. Since 2017, the band’s members include lead vocalist Hayley Williams, lead guitarist Taylor York, and drummer Zac Farro. Williams and Farro are founding members of the group , while York, a high school friend of the original lineup, joined in 2007. Williams is the only member to appear on all six of Paramore’s studio albums.

The band’s style of music could be loosely described as edgy power pop with Williams delivering melodic choruses with the band’s musical influences ranging from Elvis Presley to Weezer and The Smiths.

The band will perform eight/nine tracks per night as part of the opening show with the first night in Paris featuring a cover version of Talking Heads classic ‘Burning Down the House’.

Live from Paris: Taylor Swift adds 'Tortured Poets' songs to Eras Tour in France

PARIS, France — The Chairman jump-started her tour after a two-month hiatus, and anticipation was high over whether Taylor Swift would incorporate her 11th era album into the Eras Tour set at La Défense Arena on Thursday.

She did and then some.

Swift extended the set list by one track to land at 46 songs. But many changes were made along the way. She added a new era for "The Tortured Poets Department," cut a handful of songs and rearranged most of the eras including combining the sets for "Folklore" and "Evermore."

She also debuted a number of new outfits along the way.

Delivering all the updates were Bryan West, the USA TODAY Network's full-time Taylor Swift reporter, from inside La Défense Arena in Paris, with Swiftie and trending reporter Anthony Robledo assisting from his desk.

'Midnights' set follows secret songs

Swift stuck to her original set list for the "Midnights" era by singing "Lavender Haze," "Anti-Hero" and "Midnight Rain." She ended the night with a triumphant rendition of "Karma" as usual.

'loml' is second secret song

Fans got one more taste of "The Tortured Poets Department" when Swift played the heartbreaking song "loml" on the piano during her secret set.

'Paris' is a secret song, of course

Swift started her secret set with "Paris," a bonus song from her "Midnights" album.

New 'Tortured Poets' set is here

Toward the end of her show, Swift officially launched the long-awaited “The Tortured Poets Department” section of the tour after the 1989 era.

Swift performed the track “But Daddy I Love Him” off the April 19 album for her ecstatic fans while wearing a new beige dress with cursive letters.  

A road spiraled down the catwalk in an animation to initiate the era. The background animation showed a deserted road while large cages animated and fell on the road.

“Oh my god you should see your faces,” she sang.

She quickly segwayed into a brief moment of “So High School,” the beloved track speculated to be about her romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. She quickly performed the powerhouse anthem “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me.”

Swift switched to “Down Bad” before seamlessly transitioning into the lead single “Fortnight.” Stage production recreated an asylum that resembled the music video for the song with Post Malone, recorded harmony played concluding the song. 

Dancers entered the stage in a marching band style format playing drums as she performed the wrath-fueled song “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.” Jan Ravnik and Kameron Saunders then revived Swift in a jazzy skit to set up “I Can Do With A Broken Heart,” where she debuted another new outfit. 

“The End” text displayed wrapping up the era that’s likely here to stay. Other beloved tracks like “Guilty As Sin” and “Florida!” did not make the cut.

New '1989' outfit

Swift never goes out of Style. During her “1989” set, she debuted a new, sequined outfit of blue and pink. Her sparkly shoes matched with a different colored heel on each. For the bridge of “Blank Space,” the crowd started chanting in Sydney, Australia, “Syd-ney” as a nod to the 1989 World Tour concert movie where Swift would chant the name of the city she was in after hitting a pole with a club two times. Singapore followed the chant and Taylor Nation tweeted they want every city to incorporate the fan-fueled chant.In Paris, thousands chanted “Par-ee,” the French way to say the capital city.

Swift made no cuts to the "1989" set.

Four songs cut from 'Folklore' and 'Evermore'

The new set list cut four tracks from the "Folklore" and "Evermore" eras:

• "'Tis the Damn Season"
• "Tolerate It"
• "The Last Great American Dynasty"

The combined set included eight songs altogether and wrapped up with "Willow."

'Folkmore' set debuts

Swift revealed she merged the 2020 pandemic albums “Folklore” and “Evermore” into one section. She told fans she wrote “Folklore” to represent spring and summer with “Evermore” representing fall and winter in what she always considered sister albums.

“On the Eras Tour we have now reunited the sisters, combined them into one chapter,” she said. “You can call it whatever you want as long as you promise to sing ‘Champagne Problems’ with me.”

'Folklore' set: 'Cardigan' makes the cut

Many fans had speculated "Cardigan" would be cut from the set list. But Swift actually moved it to the top of the "Folklore" set.

Another surprise: 'Speak Now' era comes fourth

Swift updated her "Speak Now" set with an intro dance featuring Raphael Thomas and eight other dancers wearing flowy purple dresses. She then sang "Enchanted."

Fan favorite track "Long Live" was cut from the set list.

Order of eras changed

After a fairly routine "Fearless" set, Swift altered her concert by including the “Red” era third instead of the expected “Evermore” set. Previously, "Red" came fifth.

With a new shirt that read “This Is Not Taylor’s Version,” the singer performed "22" and showed her audience that they needed to leave any expectations at home. 

The relocated "Red" set included the same four songs: "22," "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "All Too Well (10-Minute Version)."

Beflore playing “All Too Well (10 Minute Version),” Swift talked about bringing all of her favorite memories to France.She did her 2019 “Lover” live show here but hadn’t brought a tour to the country since the Speak Now World Tour 13 years ago.“I cannot thank you enough. I’m so moved," she said.

Swift cut "The Archer" from her "Lover" set before beginning her "Fearless" set in a silver and black minidress as opposed to her classic gold one. A graphic showed her "Lover" house with a new addition in the attic for "The Tortured Poets Department." Her "Fearless" set remained the same with "Fearless," "You Belong With Me" and "Love Story."

'Je m'appelle Taylor'

In her monologue before playing the song "Lover," Swift waid the night would span 18 years of music. Previously, the concert covered 16 years. Get ready for a "The Tortured Poets Department" addition some time tonight.

She confirmed the tour would still go era by era, and also spoke about how Paramore is a band she idolized since she was a teenager. She ended with some French: "Je m'appelle Taylor."

Swift took the stage about 8 p.m. in Paris (2 p.m. ET) to relaunch her Eras Tour in Europe. She kicked it off with a countdown clock and the Lesley Gore song "You Don't Own Me" as usual. Then she began her "Lover" set with "Miss Americana."

At the Paris show Thursday, Paramore energized fans with eight tracks including their cover off the upcoming “Stop Making Sense” tribute album out May 17 featuring artists like Miley Cyrus and Lorde.

Debuting a blond mullet, lead singer Hayley Williams encouraged fans to dance without fear of judgment ahead of Swift’s performance.

“Enjoy your time with Miss Taylor, we will see you next time,” Williams said.

Where to watch the Eras Tour livestreams

The Eras Tour is one of the first tours that has been followed, globally, by thousands of fans on digital platforms. Fans dedicate part of their concert experience to livestreaming as Swift performs. Livestream Queen Tess Bohne has spearheaded the "Great War" to find fans going live on social media and broadcasting a custom show to tens of thousands of fans almost every night on her account @tessdear .

On YouTube, user @TaylorSwiftHockeyBro also livestreams the 3-hour show, and on Twitch, @folkleric is a host fans follow.

There is also an app, Swift Alert , that notifies fans who only want to watch certain eras like the acoustic, surprise set. The app also sends out push alerts if there are any major announcements.

What secret songs are left?

For the past 83 shows, Swift has had an acoustic set she customizes every stop with a guitar and piano performance. In 2024, the Eras Tour star added mash-ups of her songs for each stop. Here are the songs she has yet to perform:

• "Taylor Swift" (debut album): "Mary's Song" and "A Perfectly Good Heart"
• "Fearless": "The Way I Loved You," "Change," "Superstar," "We Were Happy," "That's When," "Don't You" and "Bye Bye Baby"

Welcome to the Eras Tour (France's Version). Swift is kicking off her 3-plus-hour concert from La Défense Arena in the Jardins de l’Arche district. The venue is Europe’s largest indoor arena and houses the Racing 92 rugby club. More than 40,000 fans will watch the concert, according to the stadium's website.

Starting Thursday, May 9, Taylor Swift — aka Time Magazine’s 2023 Person of the Year — is kicking off a four-night ‘Eras Tour’ stint at Nanterre’s Paris La Defense Arena with special guest Paramore.

And if you’ve held out to buy tickets until the last minute, you just might be in luck.

Based on our findings, prices have dropped for a handful of the shows.

When we last reported on ticket prices a mere 72 hours ago, they started at $246 before fees on Vivid Seats for the La Defense Arena ‘Eras Tour’ shows.

Now, last-minute seats can be scooped up for as low as $205 before fees .

Compared to how much tickets cost to see Tay Tay live in the U.S. last year, prices won’t get much better than this.

Our team has been following the ‘Eras Tour’ closely over the past year.

In the past few months, we spoke to a Swiftie who  shared some helpful tips  about seeing Taylor live, reported on  dropping ticket prices  and  came up with a list of all the most exciting fan trends .

Taylor Swift new music

Swift’s  “The Tortured Poets Department”  was released at midnight (and subsequently at 2 a.m.) on Friday, April 19.

While every listener will likely come away with their own favorites, we particularly enjoyed the sleek, synth-y “Fortnight,” icy “So Long, London,” anthemic “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” bombastic slow build of “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and gorgeously arranged “Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus.”

The Hayley Williams-fronted pop-punk rockers are opening for Swift from May through August this year. This may come as a bit of a surprise to some fans considering that the group mounted a successful arena tour of their own in 2023.

That tour, came on the heels of Paramore’s 2022 reunion; prior to that, the band had been on a five-year hiatus.

Taylor Swift Returns to ‘Eras Tour’ in Paris: What Time It Will Start in EST Zone?

Taylor Swift is getting ready to say bonjour to Paris and kick off the next leg of her Eras Tour in style.

Swift, 34, will perform four sold-out shows at Paris’ La Défense Arena starting on Thursday, May 9. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. local time with opening act Paramore’s set. The City of Lights is six hours ahead of the United States’ East Coast, meaning that it will be 12:30 p.m. EST when Paramore’s performance begins.

Swift — who kicked off her Eras Tour in Glendale, Arizona in March 2023 — is expected to take the stage at 7:30 p.m. (1:30 p.m. EST) and reach her “surprise song” section by 10:15 local time (4:15 for East Coast-based Swifties). The concert will officially end 35 minutes later. A handful of concert attendees will livestream the show via X, TikTok and YouTube for other Swifties to experience the show from afar. For instance, checking social feeds at 4:15 p.m. ET would reveal Swift’s surprise song choices in real time.

Thursday’s concert will be Swift’s first since the release of her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department. After the double-LP broke all sorts of streaming and sales records, the Grammy winner was more excited than ever to bring Eras across the pond to Europe.

“My mind is blown. I’m completely floored by the love you’ve shown this album. 2.6 million ARE YOU ACTUALLY SERIOUS??” Swift wrote via X last month . “Thank you for listening, streaming, and welcoming Tortured Poets into your life. Feeling completely overwhelmed. I was already so fired up to get back to the tour but you doing THIS?? May 9th can’t come soon enough.”

Swift devotes sections of the show to each of her past albums — save for her self-titled debut record, which sometimes pops up in her rotating acoustic section — during each concert. It is currently unknown if TTPD will get an official place on the setlist or be weaved into the “surprise song” performances .

Her French tour promoter recently hinted that TTPD , a 31-song anthology, will be featured in the show.

“She’s going to include new pieces from her new album,” Arnaud Meersseman told Radio France in a Thursday interview, noting the French Eras gigs will have a “slightly modified show” than previous performances.

Swift will perform follow-up shows in Paris on Friday, May 10, Saturday, May 11, and Sunday, May 12, before taking Eras around Europe and the United Kingdom for more than 40 shows. Swift returns to France on June 2 and 3 for back-to-back concerts in Lyon.

Paramore, led by the pop star’s pal Hayley Williams , will join Swift for the entire European leg.

“I’m so ready to be tour-mates,” Williams, 35, gushed via Instagram Story in April while praising TTPD . “Had me from the storytelling alone, my friend. Every one of us knows this kind of grief! It’s so impressive to me how specific and colorful Taylor’s words get without ever losing the universal thread. I’m so ready to be tour-mates.”
