You’ll Have To Act Fast If You Want Peter Kay Tour Tickets
The return of the garlic bread king is a hotly-anticipated event.
Beloved comedian, and all-round TV icon , Peter Kay has announced that he’s going back on tour . It’s been over a decade since Kay has entertained the masses, having put on his last collection of shows in 2010. That particular run earned him the Guinness World Record for the biggest-selling stand-up tour of all time , having sold over a million tickets for 113 dates.
Kay’s upcoming tour will be much smaller overall, however there’s an extra special addition to the schedule, as Kay has now revealed he’ll be doing a monthly residency at London’s O2 Arena. “It’s good to get back to what I love doing best, stand-up comedy, and if there’s ever a time people need a laugh it’s now ,” Kay said. “And with the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35 — the same price they were on my previous tour in 2010.” Kay’s Better Late Than Never tour kicks off this December, starting in Manchester before making his way across the UK. Here’s everything you need to know before buying tickets for Kay’s hotly-anticipated comeback.

Peter Kay’s Monthly Residency At London’s O2
When the beloved comedian revealed the dates and locations for his upcoming UK tour, London-based fans were disheartened to have been skipped . But it turns out, Kay had bigger plans in mind for the capital city. During an appearance on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, the comedian announced a monthly residency at London’s O2 Arena from Dec. 16, 2022 to Nov. 18, 2023.
“Of course I’m not going to not do London,” he said. With this move, Kay becomes the first artist in history to perform monthly at London’s O2 for a whole year. The artist also expressed gratitude for fans, who welcomed his decade-late tour with warmth: “ Huw Edwards is going to queue up for tickets… Him? I cannot get my head (around) it.”
Where Can I Buy Peter Kay Tickets?
Tickets for Kay’s tour will be very popular, so it’s imperative to act fast. The comedian had planned to do shows in 2018 , but had to cancel due to family matters. However, he briefly appeared at a benefit concert marking the reopening of the Manchester Arena following the terrorist attack in May 2017, in addition to a couple of shows in 2021. Both shows at the Manchester O2 Apollo sold out within 30 minutes , so you better be prepared at 10 a.m. on November 12 when tickets for his upcoming tour go on sale. Tickets will start at £35, the same amount as during Kay’s 2010 tour, and there will be no pre-sale.
Tickets will be available via Ticketmaster UK , Ticketmaster IE , Gigs and Tours , and Kay’s website .

Peter Kay announces more tour dates: Here are the venues and sale date so you don’t miss out
By natalie zamora | dec 14, 2022.
Peter Kay’s been on top of the world since he finally returned to the spotlight after a years-long break, and his current comedy tour proves just that. As fans of the English comedian will remember, he famously canceled his standup gigs in 2017 to be with his family and was rarely seen in the media after that. Well, whatever happened, we’re glad he’s in a better place now and is performing once again!
His fans were absolutely thrilled when the 49-year-old Car Share star announced a comeback tour this year, and it looks like he seriously underestimated his popularity because the shows have been selling out left and right! In November in anticipation of his gigs, fans went to the O2 Priority site to purchase pre-sale tickets, but were super frustrated when the site crashed! That forced Kay to add more tour dates , and now, he’s done the same thing again!
This is great news for fans who have still been unable to nab tickets to see the one and only Peter Kay on stage in the flesh. So here’s what you need to know if you’re in that boat.
How to buy Peter Kay comedy tour tickets

How to get tickets for Peter Kay’s 2023 tour
New dates have just been added due to unprecedented demand
Peter Kay, the iconic Bolton-born comic, will be performing his first live tour in more than a decade in 2024. The comedian holds the 2010 Guinness Book of World Records for the biggest-selling comedy tour of all time, so you can bet that getting your hands on some tickets this time round is going to be tricky (but worth it).
When the first batch of tickets went live, O2 and Virgin said the sale was ‘by far the highest demand we’ve ever seen for priority tickets in 15 years’ and the O2 priority ticket website crashed as a result. More dates were added to the tour, but for any disappointed fans who couldn’t tickets for any of those either, we’ve got great news. Kay added 11 new dates in 2023-2025, bringing the total number of shows to 121 for the ‘Better Late Than Never’ tour.
These dates span Glasgow, Newcastle, Birmingham, Sheffield, Manchester, Leeds, London, Dublin, Belfast, Nottingham and Liverpool, so there’s bound to be one vaguely nearly you.
If you’re planning to catch one of Kay’s live shows as he tours the country in 2024, h ere’s everything to know about his return and how to get tickets.

This tour is a comeback after the comedian cancelled a 14-month long stand-up tour back in 2017.

What has he said about the tour?

Peter Kay adds extra tour dates to meet ticket demand
Comedian extends standup tour to late 2024 as hundreds of thousands queue online to secure seats
Hundreds of thousands of Britons have been queueing online to try to buy Peter Kay tickets, with the comedian having put on more than 20 extra dates to meet the demand.
After thousands of pre-sale tickets for Peter Kay Live sold on Thursday and Friday, the Manchester Evening News reported that up to 2 million people had queued on Saturday.
Many fans reported seeing messages on the Ticketmaster website telling them there were more than 300,000 people ahead of them in the virtual line – roughly the population of Nottingham.
The tour was originally set to end in August 2023, but the additional dates mean it will now run until November 2024.
Ticketmaster tweeted: “As expected, Peter Kay is super popular this morning. To make it as fair as possible, we have put everyone in a queue. Be patient and don’t refresh or you’ll lose your place.”
A number of extra dates were added to the tour after “unprecedented” demand left many fans unable to access apps and websites offering pre-sale tickets. These included two new shows in Birmingham, four in London and six in Manchester.
Channel 5 News host Dan Walker was among those in the queue, tweeting: “Trying to get Peter Kay tickets is like trying to get an appointment at the GP! ‘Please hold … there are currently 170,000 people ahead of you in the queue’.” Fellow comic Jason Manford joked: “Phew lucky enough to get 2x Peter Kay tickets. For sale 2x Peter Kay tickets, £3500 each ono.”
Shortly before 11am, the Liverpool Echo reported that all tickets for the city’s M&S Bank arena were sold out.
Some ticket resale sites, such as Viagogo, had seats available for as much as £1,000, with many people calling for more to be done to stop touts and to control the number of purchases.
Others reported that the site had crashed due to the high demand.
Kay’s comeback from a five-year hiatus was announced during an ad break in the series launch of ITV’s I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! during which Kay was seen carrying a rolled-up carpet into a house.
The advert concluded with the fans asking Kay whether he had finally bought his mother a bungalow – a reference to the comic’s previous Mum Wants a Bungalow tour. Kay replied that he had, and that his mother now wanted a new carpet to go in it.
after newsletter promotion
Kay appeared on Zoe Ball’s BBC Radio 2 breakfast show on Wednesday and said he had been “overwhelmed” by the response to his return, even before his tickets had gone on sale.
Announcing his new dates, the 49-year-old from Bolton said: “It’s good to get back to what I love doing best, standup comedy, and if there’s ever a time people need a laugh it’s now.” After successfully securing his tickets for a date in London next summer, comedy fan Ben Andrews, from London, said: “The pressure was on to get tickets – especially as I’m married to a northerner.
“I was in the digital waiting room from 9.45am, and immediately had 50k people ahead of me. With 20k capacity, I had to cross my fingers.” His wife, Sarah Farrell, from Manchester, added: “To give us a better chance, I joined the queue too, but I did so late, panicked, and ended up queueing for 2024. At one point there were a quarter of a million people ahead of me so I just went and put the kettle on.”
As well as touring the UK, Kay will become the first comedian to be given his own residency at the O2 Arena in London. He will perform there once a month between December 2022 and November 2023.
In 2010, Kay achieved a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for the biggest selling standup tour of all time, playing to more than 1.2 million people.
He had been due to go on the road in 2017, but cancelled those shows because of “unforeseen family circumstances”.

Peter Kay tickets are available to buy on the official Peter Kay website , Ticketmaster , Ticketmaster Ireland , and Gigs and Tours from 10 am on Saturday, 12th November 2022.
Speaking about his upcoming tour, Peter said: "It's good to get back to what I love doing best, stand-up comedy and if there’s ever a time people need a laugh it’s now. And with the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35. The same price they were on my previous tour in 2010."

Pre-sale tickets for the tour went live on Thursday 10 November, as O2, Virgin Media and Three users were offered access two days early.
However, many hoping to get their hands on tickets were left disappointed as the huge demand left many unable to access the apps and websites offering pre-sale tickets.
O2 and Virgin said, "Please be patient; this is by far the highest demand we've ever seen for priority tickets in 15 years. The presale lasts for 48h so keep checking." Meanwhile, Three said, "We're seeing a huge demand for Peter Kay tickets and we're aware many of you can't access the Three + app this morning. We're working on it as fast as we can!"
Peter Kay posted an apology on behalf of SJM concert on Twitter , which read: "SJM Concerts would like to reassure customers that substantial provision has been put in place for the main ticket on-sale this Saturday 12th at 10am. Plenty of tickets will be available throughout the day so please persevere and please buy from official ticket outlets."
In response to the demand, new dates were added in cities including Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham.
In 2010, Kay set a world record for the biggest-selling stand-up comedy tour, playing to more than 1.2 million people, it it's looking like he could now break his own record with his new tour.

Why did Peter Kay cancel his last tour?
Peter Kay cancelled his last tour in 2017 due to "unforseen family circumstances", which led him to be largely absent from the spotlight ever since.
He was due to perform at a planned 14-month, 100-show stand-up tour, but he announced the sad news that it was cancelled on his website, where he apologised to fans who had bought tickets, insisting it "wasn't a decision he had taken lightly."
At the time, the full statement read: "Due to unforeseen family circumstances I deeply regret that I am having to cancel all of my upcoming work projects. This unfortunately includes my upcoming stand-up tour, Dance For Life shows and any outstanding live work commitments.
"My sincerest apologies. This decision has not been taken lightly and I’m sure you’ll understand my family must always come first. I’ve always endeavoured to protect my family’s privacy from the media. I hope that the media and the public will continue to respect our privacy at this time. Once again I’m very sorry."
He briefly returned to the stage during his Dance for Life tour that came to the Manchester Central Convention Complex, but this has to be postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic and was later rescheduled in 2022.

Where does Peter Kay live?
Peter Kay still lives in his hometown of Farnworth, in Lancashire with his wife Susan Gargan, who he married back in 2001. The couple have three children together - teenage son Charlie, and two younger children who have been shielded from the public eye.
Peter and his wife are directors of Goodnight Vienna Productions, which co-produces his comedy shows.

Peter Kay gigs pulled just a day ahead of Co-op Live's launch in Manchester
Peter Kay was due to open the new Manchester venue Co-op Live this week with two huge comedy gigs, while singer Rick Astley's preview concert over the weekend was also hit with problems.

Comedian Peter Kay has been forced to postpone two shows at Co-op Live in Manchester due to the brand-new arena's power testing falling "a few days" behind schedule.
The record-breaking stand-up comedian had been due to open the new venue - which is now the UK's biggest arena - on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.
The 50-year-old Phoenix Nights star said in a statement: "I'm truly gutted as I know how disappointing this will be for everyone with tickets, but obviously it's a brand-new venue and it's important that everything is finished and safe for full capacity audiences.
"Fortunately, we've been able to reschedule the shows to next week, (I'll have to miss my Bums & Tums class) but hopefully I'll see you then."
Co-op Live shared a statement on their Twitter feed, telling followers: "Following our first test event on Saturday, regretfully we have made the difficult decision to reschedule our two opening performances by Peter Kay.
"These dates will move from 23 April and 24 Wednesday to Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 April."
The spokesperson for the venue explained that an issue around the power supply was the cause of the cancellation.
"It is critical to ensure we have a consistent total power supply to our fully electric sustainable venue, the completion of which is a few days behind.
"Rescheduling gives us the extra time we need to continue testing thoroughly. This is vital to satisfy the rigorous set of guidelines and protocols that are necessary for a venue of this size."

The statement added: "Peter Kay has very graciously agreed to perform his record-breaking comedy at Co-op Live on 29 (rescheduled from 23) and 30 (rescheduled from 24) April 2024. All tickets remain valid and ticket holders will be contacted by their point of purchase."
They said refunds would be available for any ticketholders who could no longer attend the event, and flagged that the date change might mean new tickets become available for fans who missed out the first time round.
The venue added: "We are very sorry for the inconvenience that this change will undoubtedly cause for some. We are thrilled to welcome Peter Kay as our grand opening act just a few days later than planned."
Over the weekend, a preview concert starring Rick Astley was also hit by delays, with ticket capacity slashed just hours before his gig was due to begin.
Astley fans who had their tickets cancelled have instead been offered seats to see US rock band the Black Keys play next week.
Once fully open, the arena - which is next to Manchester City's football ground - will have a capacity of 23,500, overtaking the capacity of the existing Manchester Arena which has a capacity of 21,000.
Built at an estimated cost of £365m, the arena counts former One Direction singer Harry Styles as one of its investors, with the pop star also advising on some elements of the arena's design.

Other stars set to play at the venue include Take That, Liam Gallagher, Olivia Rodrigo and Eric Clapton.
Peter Kay has been on a comeback tour - his first since 2010 - since December, with stops in Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds scheduled through to next year.
In 2010, Kay won the Guinness World Record for the biggest-selling stand-up tour of all time - playing to a total of 1.2 million people.

This time, she’s picked the city’s new Co-op Live arena, where she’s lined up four nights – and tickets go on sale later this week .
The tour announcement comes ahead of the release of her third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, which is pencilled for release on 17 May.
Billie Eilish and her co-writer and producer brother Finneas have earned dozens of awards for their music since she burst onto the scene with Ocean Eyes in 2016.
Among those awards are nine Grammys, three Brit Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and even a couple of Oscars (for her songs on James Bond’s No Time to Die, and then the Barbie soundtrack).
Billie announced her latest huge tour this afternoon, which includes dates across the USA, Europe, and Australia.
This is the third huge act to be announced at Co-op Live today alone, which has also added Janet Jackson and Craig David to its bill of events.
The 23,500-capacity venue is set to officially open to the public on 1 May after a few delays, with both Peter Kay and the Black Keys rescheduled to later dates.
Billie Eilish will perform at Co-op Live in Manchester on 19, 20, 22, and 23 July 2025.
Tickets will go on general sale on 3 May 2024 at 12pm through See Tickets here .
Co-op Members can have early access to tickets from midday on 30 April 2024.

UK R&B, garage and pop legend Craig David is heading back out on tour next year as has revealed the soon-to-open Co-op Live Arena as the location for his Manchester date.
The ‘7 Days’, ‘Fill Me In’ and ‘DNA’ singer has been well and truly on the comeback over the past few years and as one of the biggest British chart-toppers of the noughties, we are loving having Craig David back smashing the live music circuit.
Announcing his latest ‘Commitment’ tour in early 2025, the 42-year-old becomes the latest name to join the long list of people queuing up to play Manchester’s newest and biggest indoor venue, Co-op Live .
The ground-breaking arena has suffered some pretty public setbacks over the last week or so, with Peter Kay’s double bill and The Black Keys having to be pushed back due to the venue not being quite ready, but it hasn’t stopped more acts from booking shows there.

Set to kick off a run of just under a dozen initial domestic shows in Leeds before heading to Manchester on Friday, 14 February and closing out the schedule at the O2 in London on 20 February, it’s sure to be a popular tour.
Better still, he’s bringing an equally nostalgic name along with him for the ride as fellow 2000s hit-maker Lemar has been confirmed as his special guest and main support act.
Lemar played a pair of 20th anniversary shows here in Manchester city centre in April 2023 and is also joining boyband JLS on their ‘Summer Hits’ tour this July – including a special gig at Barton Airport .
We’re loving all these throwbacks.

This latest edition to the arena’s debut calendar of events comes within hours of legendary American artist Janet Jackson joining Co-op Live’s list of upcoming shows .

Janet Jackson is the latest act to be announced to play the enormous new Co-op Live arena in Manchester.
The iconic singer has announced a date here on the European leg of her huge Together Again tour.
It’s the first time the five-time Grammy-award-winning singer has performed in the UK since her Glastonbury Festival slot back in 2019.
Janet Jackson’s Together Again tour has sold out across North America, and now it’s heading across to Europe including an autumn gig here in Manchester.
The tour celebrates her 50th anniversary in entertainment, and marks 35 years of her best-selling album Rhythm Nation.
She’s also one of the best-selling artists of all time, selling more than 180 million records worldwide.
The Together Again Tour has already become the highest-selling tour of Janet Jackson’s career, spanning 35 dates across the US – and now she’s heading to Manchester.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee is set to play at the city’s new Co-op Live Arena, which is meant to officially open its doors this week ( a little later than planned… )
Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Friday 3 May, with presale available to Mastercard cardholders from Tuesday 30 April at 9am.

Moscow Metro
The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.
What is the kremlin in russia?
The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.
And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.
During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.
There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.
