Phi Phi Island Private Boat Tour

Yacht on Rent - Destination Phuket Phi Phi Islands Pic1

Just an hour or two’s sailing from Phuket is this group of six islands, which are located in a marine national park in the Andaman Sea. Only one of the islands is inhabited – Phi Phi Don – but you can check them all out with a private boat charter Phi Phi Island itinerary. As local yachting specialists, we have created a full day tour package that hits the highlights of this beautiful tropical archipelago, which can be booked by contacting us at any time. If you would like to spend more time exploring the islands, we can put together a custom itinerary for you: just let us know when you would like to sail and for how long, and we’ll take care of all the details.

Explore with a Private Yacht Charter: Phi Phi Islands Highlights

Phi phi leh island:.

Maya Bay, on the west coast of Phi Phi Leh island, is undoubtedly the most famous of the sights to see in this part of the world, being the location where much of The Beach was shot. If you haven’t seen the film starring Leonardo DiCaprio that was based on the cult classic by Alex Garland, you’re in for a treat. Loh Sama (Sama Bay), separated from Maya Bay by a tall limestone cliff, can be reached at low tide through a short tunnel in the cliff and is another great snorkelling and scuba diving site. Pi Leh Bay, on the eastern side of the island, is a gorgeous lagoon surrounded by towering limestone cliffs. Snorkelling in its crystal clear, emerald-green waters offers the opportunity to see beautiful tropical marine species such as the colourful parrot fish, in their natural environment. On the northern end of Phi Phi Leh is Viking Cave, which is a natural cave in the base of a limestone cliff. If you wonder what the precarious-looking bamboo scaffolding is for when you visit Viking Cave, it’s used to reach the birds’ nests that are harvested by locals here, for use in Chinese medicine. For anybody who is planning a private boat Phi Phi Island tour, Phi Phi Leh is a must visit destination.

Phi Phi Don Island:

For a change of pace, a visit to Monkey Beach on the southwest side of Tonsai Bay (on the main island of Phi Phi Don) is an excellent choice. Taking its name from the long-tailed macaques that live in the limestone cliffs forming a dramatic backdrop to the strip of pristine coral sand, Monkey Beach is popular with visitors from across the world. It’s also another fantastic snorkelling location, with many stunning tropical marine species making their home in the warm, clear waters.

Bamboo Island:

About 2.7 nautical miles (5 kilometres) north of Phi Phi Don is Bamboo Island. If you’re taking a private boat to Phi Phi island from Phuket, this tiny, heart-shaped island should not be missed. Consisting of a strip of white coral sand surrounding a central area populated by bamboo and casuarinas trees, Bamboo Island is circled by a coral reef, making it yet another great location in this area for snorkelling and scuba diving.

Chartering a Private Yacht: Phuket to Phi Phi and Beyond

Whether you would like to take advantage of our day-trip package to see all the highlights in one day or plan a longer cruise that takes in more of the islands and surrounding attractions, we can turn your yachting dreams into reality.  Contact us now to let us know exactly what you are looking for and we will be delighted to help you organise the perfect Phi Phi island private boat tour.

Small Group Tours, Beat the Crowds

Simba operates the lowest passenger numbers of all operators to Phi Phi Islands with an average of 14 passengers and max 18 Adults. Our tours are planned specifically to avoid the large crowds in the National Parks.

Phi Phi Island Tour’s first glimpse of magic - Maya Bay

Phi Phi Maya Bay has been a “must see location” for the majority of Thailand tourists for decades and as such, suffered from its overuse. Thankfully the National Park prohibited from 2018 to the end of 2021, any boat from dropping anchor in the bay and alighting at the beach, to allow the gorgeous coral island treasures, wildlife and environment time to recover. Fully recovered, Maya Bay is now open for business once more and keen to show off its beauty to a whole new audience.

At Simba, you will be one of the first boats to arrive at this awe-inspiring bay to enjoy placing the first footprints of the day into its fine white sand beach.  Breakfast will be served here on the beach.

The Phi Phi Island tour’s emerald crown, Pileh Lagoon - Tide Dependent

Our next port of call on our sunrise tour is the gorgeous Pileh Lagoon (tide-dependent). Another highly popular tourist destination and usually busy but don’t despair. Thanks to our early start time, while most crowds are headed to Maya Bay we are exiting on our way to beat the crowds to Pileh Lagoon.

It is a wonderful attraction, an emerald green lagoon surrounded by high limestone cliffs on 3 sides, and one of the world’s most gorgeous natural swimming pools. Be sure to have your camera ready to capture the extremely spectacular view of the emerald waters of the islands merging with the caves and the blue clear horizon as the speedboat coasts into the Lagoon.

Experience Phi Phi's underwater world - Phi Phi Island Snorkeling Stop

It is now time to explore the magical underwater world of Phi Phi Islands with some swimming and snorkeling during our speed boat tour. Our experienced staff will anchor up in an area where marine life waits to greet you.

We supply all your snorkeling equipment including fins and flotation aids such as life jackets and swim noodles. The staff are always there (in and out of the speedboat) ready to help any first-timers with encouragement, and advice when needed.

You are guaranteed to see a lot of friendly fishes who are more than happy to share their waters with you and, if you are lucky, we are sometimes visited by dolphins during our snorkeling stops.

Phi Phi Islands have their secrets - Macaque Monkeys and the Viking Cave

Our Last Stop on the Phi Phi Leh leg of the tour is to the mysterious Viking Cave. This limestone cave is one of the most notable sites on the island and is one of the most requested tourist attractions from visitors.

The Viking Cave possesses unique drawings on the Southern and Eastern walls, and this naturally formed seaside cave appears out of place (for all the right reasons) at the foot of a limestone cliff. Guests will also be able to observe swifts’ nests in their hundreds. While the site is spectacular and is sure to amaze, please be aware that we are unable to walk into the cave due to local regulations.

While on this stop we will also take the time to stop by one of the local beaches for a viewing of the monkey troops. For our own safety, the team insists we all stay on the boat whilst viewing these cute Long-tailed Macaques. For animal lovers, this is one of the most memorable moments that takes place during the tour.

Islands and Crystal Waters - 2nd Phi Phi Island Snorkeling Stop

It’s time to head on to make our second snorkeling stop. This time we’ll try to find a spot that offers different marine life to what was previously seen. You can choose to say hello to the curious fish again with your second snorkeling adventure, take an extended swim or simply relax on the boat and enjoy the sunshine. We are flexible with our speedboat tour itinerary to ensure that our Phuket customers have the best day possible.

It is at this stage of the day that our guests are starting to get very excited about all that they’ve seen and all that is still to come. This is the prime opportunity for some memorable photos with your fellow tour guests as we saviour the surrounding landscape that we are fortunate enough to be gazing upon.

Tours demand relaxation time - Bamboo Beach or Koh Rang Yai

Our  penultimate stop on your Phi Phi Islands tour is selected dependant on the conditions of the day and our crew choose between one of two idyllic  tropical islands. Here, you can swim, bathe, relax and take in the sights. Both are true paradise islands with crystal clear waters, picturesque palm trees, and soft white sand.

Take your time to enjoy the island’s beauty at one of the most stunning beaches in the world and end your day the right way.

A taste of the Phi Phi Islands - Lunch time

Finish your trip to Phi Phi with a well-deserved lunch at our popular pool club restaurant. Many travelers have enjoyed the scrumptious thai-style lunch with all the local flavours of the island.

You’ll have the opportunity to enhance your culinary palette in one of the most beautiful pool club settings imaginable and will provide all the nourishment you need after a long day undertaking sea activities.

A lagoon swim, followed by two snorkeling stops where you'll enjoy the sights of beautiful corals, swarms of reef life including clown fish, reef sharks, parrot fish and a myriad of other wonderful little creatures that bless our reefs.

Pickup from your hotel at approximately 5am for a 6am DEPARTURE. We will return you to your hotel at approximately 3pm. Hotel pickup is complimentary to certain areas in Phuket only. For areas outside of the free pickup region but still in Phuket, a 1000 Baht return trip, per vehicle applies. Higher charges apply outside of Phuket (we will advise of the outside Phuket fee when the booking is received).

On arrival at our office enjoy some light breakfast snacks and coffee. On tour all your culinary needs are provided by us. A yummy breakfast on the beach, snacks and soft refreshments throughout the day, and finally an authentic Thai lunch at a stunning, rustic beach restaurant.

Accident insurance is provided to ensure a worry free day out on the water, enjoying a wonderful day of water activities with peace of mind knowing any medical mishaps will be dealt with at no extra costs to you.

At Simba, provided enough notice is given, we are happy to provide an alternative tour date or to provide a full refund if your plans change. Please read through our policy guidelines to gain all the relevant information regarding cancellations.

Phuket Tour Guide

Getting there.

Phuket is an island, though it seems to be a much easier island to access than many others in the world. The vast majority of visitors simply arrive through Phuket International Airport, located around 24 miles from the city center.

It’s usually cheaper to fly into Bangkok, however, so if you’d like to see Bangkok you may just want to allot a day or two there. From there, you can simply take the train from Hua Lamphong Station to Surat Thani and then take a bus to Phuket. You should not miss Bangkok, we would recommend a tour of the city .

Getting Around

Phuket is pretty simple to navigate, thank goodness. You’ll find many varying private and public transportation options. If you’re staying in a resort area, you may just be able to walk around without even thinking of 3 rd -party transportation.

Tuk-Tuk – These are unique to a lot of people, and the experience can be a fun one. However, they’re more ideal for shorter journeys, due to their small size and rather bumpy ride at times. Not only that, but if you’re in a resort area like Patong, they can get kind of pricey. Make sure you agree upon a rate before heading off.

Taxis/Grab – Taxis are pretty much everywhere around Phuket, but particularly in tourist spots and resort areas. Metered taxis are also located right outside the main entrance/exit at the airport. For the first 2 km, fares will be 50 baht and around 8 baht for each km after that. If you’re going long distances, try to settle on a flat rate beforehand.

There is no Uber here, but instead “Grab”. This app-based service is preferred by many visitors as it’s more reliable and gives you more of a sense of security as your ride is tracked and your rate is already settled.

Buses – Known as “songtaews”, these open-air buses are bright blue and easy to spot. The cool thing is they even write the destinations in English if you don’t speak Thai. Just be prepared to be able to flag one down, as there are no established bus stops. Buses operate from around 7 am to 6 pm, and are very affordable.

Motorbike – If you’re brave enough, you may just choose to rent a motorbike. 50-cc Hondas and big bikes are the most common type, and are very cheap. However, you need to know that many drivers operate with complete disregard for the laws and others on the road. Not only that, but if it’s a wet season, roads can become very slippery and difficult to navigate.

Motorbike Taxis – If you are going to hop on a motorbike, you may be better off with a local driving it for you. They are familiar with the way other locals drive, the weather conditions, and so on. This makes it much safer and more reliable. You can find them at moto taxi stands, usually with the drivers wearing red or green vests.

Where to Stay

Phuket may be an island, but it’s one of the more lively islands in Thailand. However, whether you’re going to party or to vacation as a family, there’s something for everyone. Each beach has a different vibe to it!

Phuket Town – If you’re going for the sightseeing and absorbing the culture more than anything, just stay here. You’ll be able to access some of the most popular attractions like the Big Buddha, Wat Chalong Temple, and elephant sanctuary. Not only that, but it’s easy to walk to hotels, temples, markets, and restaurants.

Mai Khao, Nai Yang, Nai Thon – If your main priority is seeing the amazing beaches, then stay in any of these areas. Patong is one of the main beaches, but is usually very overcrowded while many others are uncomfortable and not quite as beautiful.

However, these 3 are all located inside a national park. They have beautiful white sands, gorgeous views, and have a more private feel to them. Nai Yang is notorious for being so close to the airport runway that you feel like you could almost reach out and touch the airplanes! Kata is another honorable mention, with some of the best swimming on the island.

Bang Tao – Bang Tao is perfect if you are a water sport kind of person. That could mean jet-skiing, going out on a speedboat, parasailing, etcetera. If you’re into receiving top-notch spa treatments, Bang Tao is also the way to go. If you’re feeling sore, you can’t skip receiving a massage here.

Patong – Patong is the center of nightlife and all the hustle-and-bustle of Phuket. You’ll find clubs bumping with loud music, all kinds of “entertainment complexes”, and extravagant shows. If you’re coming with the entire family, you may want to steer clear of staying in this area, though.

Kata Yai, Kata Noi – Are you a serious foodie? Then you should be staying in either of these areas. You’ll find everything from world-class bistros to makeshift stalls at the beach serving up delicious dishes. Whatever you’re looking for as far as food goes, you’ll find it here.

Restaurants and Eating Out

As we just mentioned, Phuket has a variety of tasty food options and there really is something for everyone. With that being said, we recommend trying both formal restaurants and food stalls for best results.

One Chun Café and Restaurant – Located in Old Town, this restaurant is consistently rated as one of the best on the island. With a wide variety of dishes (try the crab yellow curry), it has a very vintage feel with brick walls and all kinds of old clocks and TV sets!

Raya – Okay, so this is from the same owners as One Chun, but it just can’t be left out! Known for their classic local dishes like moo hong or slow-cooked pork belly stew, they really take their time in making sure each dish is served to perfection. It’s located right around the corner from One Chun, too!

Ko Ang Seafood – This place has been around a long time, and is known for being one of the best seafood spots in Old Town. You’ll find everything from popular dishes to exotic options like red ant eggs or horseshoe crab.

Lock Tien Food Court – If you go to Phuket, you have to make a visit to Lock Tien. It’s been serving up delicious food for over 50 years to locals and tourists, alike. Located on the corner of Dibuk and Yoawarat, you can try a delicious traditional dinner like por pia, or a cool dessert like oh aew. O-aew is a Thai shaved ice dessert topped with many ingredients like red bean, grass jelly, and of course o-aew: a type of jelly made with banana and herbs.

Kwong Shop Seafood – Here’s another prime seafood spot, and if you’re in Kata Beach, we highly recommend stopping by. Crab curry, hot pot, steamed squid, entire fish – they have it all and it’s super cheap for the quality and quantity received.

Sugar & Spice – This place melds western dishes with Thai favorites like pad Thai, pineapple rice, and som tam. It’s not all that exciting, but it’s a good option if you or another in your group isn’t that adventurous with food.

Nightlife and Entertainment

  • Soi Bangla Road – This place goes crazy after the sun sets! You’ll find all kinds of lavish clubs to sophisticated lounges and everything in-between.
  • Wassa Homemade – Located right on the coast, this is a wonderful date night spot if you’re looking for chill music, great conversation, and excellent cocktails. The views are unbeatable, and the service is fantastic.
  • Seductino Nightclub – This trendy spot is a massive club, with famous DJs every night.
  • Simon Cabaret – One of the most popular places in Phuket, it has great digital sound and visual effects.
  • Siam Niramit – This is undoubtedly one of the most unique shows on the island, and has an almost Vegas-esque feel to it. If you’re bringing the whole family along, this is one of the top recommendations. Complete with over 100 performers, glamorous costumes, and elaborate sets, there’s never a dull moment.
  • Boat Bar – This is a fun place with friendly staff, cool decorations, great music, cabaret some nights, and more.
  • Kee Sky Lounge – This rooftop bar is just steps away from Bangla Walking Street. The rooftop is designed to look like a cruise ship deck, and is always fun with great cocktails and views of the Andaman Sea.
  • Kudo Beach Club – Okay, so this club does open at 10 am, but it goes until midnight so you always have a party to go to!

Generally speaking, Phuket is quite warm throughout the entire year. Temperatures range from around 77 to 93 degrees Fahrenheit, and seasons are pretty much just divided into the “rainy season” and “dry season”. These periods depend on the tropical monsoon.

Dry season starts in December, lasting until around March. You’ll see clear skies, calm waters, and light breezes with temperatures in the high 70s, typically. As you can imagine, this attracts a lot of tourists and is known as the high season.

Rainy season starts in June and lasts until October. This is when the monsoon comes in, with intense winds, lots of rain, with hot and humid weather. It’s not quite as pleasant, considering many times you won’t be able to be out on the water. Going to the beach may result in sand blowing all over, and raining you out.

Attractions

Kata Noi Beach – Phuket has a ton of great beaches, but Kata Noi remains one of our favorites. It’s small in size but huge in beauty. Take a walk along the pristine sand while just enjoying the view or taking a swim in the water.

Chalong Bay Rum Distillery – If you’re a rum fan, you’ll love learning about how it is produced. Not to mention, after the tour you get to participate in a cocktail workshop and bar, where you’ll learn how to make various cocktails that include the house rum.

Big Buddha – This is an absolutely massive marble Buddha statue, at almost 150 feet tall! While the Buddha alone is a great motive for heading there, you also get some of the best panoramic views of the island from the top of the hill.

Nai Harn Beach – This is one of the most popular beaches, with soft white sand and crystal-clear blue water. There are many delicious restaurants nearby, so we recommend grabbing a bite to eat and then coming to sit under the shade of a large tree on the beach.

Karon Viewpoint – Right next to Kata Noi is Karon Viewpoint, which offers some of the best lookout points on the whole island.

Phuket Town Weekend Night Market – The locals call it “Maka Market”, and is the place to be at night on the weekends! It’s crowded with tourists and locals, yes, but there are so many delicious foods and fun items to purchase and look at here.

Wat Chalong and Phuket Temples – Wat Chalong is one of the most important temples in Phuket, with incredible intricacy and a fascinating history. It’s gorgeous from a distance, but head closer and you’ll see the innumerable pieces of glittering glass.

Bangla Road – It’s definitely unlike anything you’ve ever seen before, so prepare yourself for that! But if you are ready for adventure and have a sense of humor, you’ll be just fine.

Phang Nga Bay – If you have ever seen the James Bond movie, The Man With The Golden Gun you will recognize it. The “ James Bond Islands ” are a popular tourist attraction.

  • Don’t drink the tap water. Just drink bottled water, and make sure that the bottle is sealed. Ice is made with clean water, and you don’t have to worry about it.
  • Bring mosquito repellent or purchase some right when you arrive. Dengue and malaria aren’t that common, but it’s still annoying to be itching the entire time.
  • When at temples, you need to be respectful. Cover your shoulders and legs at least to the knee. Remove shoes and hat before entering any temple.
  • Be respectful of any image of Buddha. Buying statues and/or getting Buddhist tattoos if you aren’t Buddhist is not only considered very disrespectful, but in some cases, even illegal!
  • Public criticism of Thai royalty is illegal, and if the national anthem is played in public or even before a movie in the theater, you should stand.

Monkey Beach:   With a large population of monkeys this beach has been made famous by social media. Take great pictures of monkeys or even get a monkey selfie. Please be careful! The monkeys here have learned a bad habit of expecting food from visitors.

Maya Bay:  This famous beach encircled by limestone cliffs, is the near perfect cinematic bay featured in movie:"The Beach" with Leonardo DiCaprio.

Viking Cave: Historically used by fishermen seeking shelter from the storm. Today local Thai climb the bamboo scaffolding at night to collect the birds nest.

Pileh Lagoon: Snorkel and swim in crystal clear water surrounded by limestone cliffs.

Loh Samah Bay: Located directly behind Maya Bay with a small passage into the National Park. Great area for snorkeling with the shallow water allowing for a close-up view of the coral reef and marine life.

Loh Sama Beach:  This stunning small beach is typically overlooked by other tour operator who rush the day along. We prefer to take some time to relax to enjoy a picnic lunch or long snorkel session. A favorite place for social media influencer photo shoots with limestone cliffs on both sides.

Wang Long Cove:  Lesser known inlet with a small beach, cave, and rope swing. Only accessible during high tide and best visited early or later in the day. *Also a favorite spot for sunset*

Loh Moo Dee Beach:  This beach is land locked ter beach with amazing views of the Andaman Sea.

Long Beach: Relax and enjoy the softest white sand on Phi Phi Don. This beach boasts an incredible view looking back at Phi Phi Leh Island.

Nui Bay:  One of our favorite stops in Phi Phi. Nui bay is a quaint bay with small white sand beach and some excellent snorkeling. The bay is protected by Camel Rock (see if you can spot it). Also there is a cave with an arch through to the sea during high tide you can snorkel into the cave.

Bamboo Island: Part of Phi Phi National Pas no limestone cliffs. Relax on this small picturesque island or explore the beach. It takes only 30 minutes to walk around the entire island.

Shark Point: As the name suggests, here you will have the chance to see Leopard Sharks and Black Tip Reef Sharks.  (Don’t worry! These sharks are harmless to humans)

Select 11:30 am Departure for Sunset Experience with Full-Day Tours

Sunset:   Watchhe sunset from the boat; we will stop boat for a quick picture.

**Maya Bay "the beach" + Hin Klang until further notice for rejuvenation of reef.**

Icon

For those seeking an Authentic Thailand Experience, we don’t think there is a better tour than ours.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Krabi or Ao-Nang and drive you to Krabi Pier. From there, we will take a speedboat to the Phi Phi Islands, which is the fastest and most convenient way to get there. The speedboat ride will take about one hour (approximately) to reach the islands. Return transfers are also included on the same day.

Once you’re at Phi Phi Island, there is plenty of time to explore the beaches, bays, and lagoons, we provide a private longtail boat to get around. You’ll be accompanied by our knowledgeable and passionate Five Star Thailand Tour Guide and Captain. Each tour with us is unique, as we take into account the weather, tides, and your preferences when planning the day’s route. We can’t wait to show you the beauty of the Phi Phi Islands!

The duration of this tour is not fixed because transfer schedules between Krabi and Phi Phi change frequently and depend on the season. But we promise you’ll get as much time as possible in Phi Phi. We’ll bring you to the island with the first boat, and return to the mainland with the last boat.

Icon

On this tour we will visit the best beaches, bays, lagoons, and snorkel spots. There are two main islands which make up Koh Phi Phi. These islands are; Koh Phi Phi Leh, and Koh Phi Phi Don.

There are over 50 different spots around these two islands. And it is within these islands where all of the most popular spots are located, examples of some well know places on these islands include Monkey Beach , Pileh Lagoon , Viking Cave , Loh Samah Bay , Long Beach , Maya Bay , and Everywhere Else . There are plenty of other lesser-known spots on these islands too!

Each tour with Five Star Thailand is unique. We don’t provide an exact itinerary due to the dynamic nature of the Phi Phi Islands! We plan a custom route, on the morning of each tour, taking into consideration the arrival and departure times for the transfers from Krabi, the anticipated crowds, the tide times, the weather conditions, and of course; any requests you might have. Our goal is to seeing as much as possible, without rushing. We use our years of local knowledge to plan the best tour for you. Because the Phi Phi Islands are dynamic and ever changing, so is our tour! And because our tours are private, guests have the flexibility to alter tour routes, or to spend more time in locations that you love, we’re not fixed to a schedule like a shared tour.

Phi Phi Don – Tonsai Town : Did you know that there is an entire town on Koh Phi Phi Don!? There are shops, bars, restaurants, hotels and so much more. On this tour we’ll try to include some time for you to check out the local town and see what Phi Phi is really all about.

Bamboo Island : We don’t visit Bamboo Island on this tour, because it’s too far away. But other than that, there are not many limitations to the places we can visit (within Phi Phi). It is not not possible to add Bamboo as a paid stop on this tour. However our Private Speedboat Tour from Krabi does include Bamboo.

Phi Phi Island Logtail Boat Tour

Private hotel collection, and shared speedboat transfers to Phi Phi Island are included in the price with this tour.

The Phi Phi Islands are around 30 km from Krabi. For your safety and comfort, we cannot use our longtail boat to pick you up in Krabi! Instead this package includes transfers to, and from Phi Phi Island with a fast speedboat transfer. When you arrived at Phi Phi Island, you would change to our Private Thai Longtail Boat. Land transfers are also included, and our team will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to the pier with a private car.

Speedboat transfers are operated by our trusted 3rd-party partners, not operated by Five Star Thailand. We work with multiple partners to ensure you get the longest time possible in Phi Phi. This is not an overnight tour. We leave from Krabi in the morning and return later on the same day.

The speedboat transfer is shared with others, and has a fixed schedule. In case you need private transfer or more flexibility you can consider our Private Speedboat Tour from Krabi .

Icon

This is a full day tour, we start first thing in the morning, and transfer you to Phi Phi Island on the first available boat. To provide an estimate, this is usually around 7-8am. The exact time is confirmed after booking.

The approximate tour times are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm–including transfer time from your hotel to the pier, speedboat transfers to and from Phi Phi Islands, and around an hour to explore the town on Phi Phi Island. The rest of the time will be spent on a private longtail boat snorkelling and visiting the best spots around Koh Phi Phi. We usually leave the Phi Phi Islands to return to Krabi between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm, depending on the boat schedules.

These times are approximate, and are not intended to be an exact itinerary . The Phi Phi Islands are dynamic and exact times depend on a number of factors, our team will confirm exact times with guests.

Icon

There is so much to do and see in the Phi Phi Islands. We will go snorkelling in some of Thailand’s most beautiful locations. There are plenty of beaches, lagoons, and reefs to visit, explore and snorkel. You’ll also have the opportunity to see various wildlife, such as Reef Sharks, Turtles, Monkeys, and more. For lunch we’ll stop by the ocean to enjoy a delicious Thai meal.

Snorkelling: The Phi Phi Islands have diverse marine life; have the opportunity to see Parrot Fish, Clown Fish and other tropical species. It is also common to see Black Tip Reef Sharks, and it’s possible to see Hawksbill Turtles. Snorkelling is included with this tour, and we provide masks and snorkels. The amount of snorkelling locations we visit is down to your personal preference.

Monkeys: Some people love the Monkeys, some people hate them. We usually include a stop at Monkey Beach to try and spot them, and more often than not we’ll be able to see them, usually on the beaches stealing lunch boxes from other tourists! But as it’s a private tour, you’re also able to skip the Monkey Beach if it’s not your thing.

Maya Bay: Maya Bay is a popular location to visit and we include it on this tour (unless you want to skip it). Maya Bay is managed by the Parks Department and in situations when they limit beach access, we can always see the beach from the boat.

Important: We can’t guarantee you will see any wildlife. We don’t have control over nature and we can’t promise you’ll see any sharks, turtles, monkeys or other animals. Maya Bay Beach Access can be restricted at any time by the Parks Department–these things are not within our control.

Phi Phi Island Tour 1

Our goal is to provide an authentic experience of Thailand, and that extends to the food on our tour. Take a break by the sea to eat lunch. Lunch is included with this tour, we’ll stop at a local restaurant where guests can order from a selection of delicious and Authentic Thai Foods. Examples to choose between include classics like the Phad Thai, Thai Fried Rice, Green Curry, Tom Yum, or a variety of other classic dishes. Don’t worry, we serve the non-spicy versions! Unless you request otherwise.

If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies please inform us at the time of booking. We can cater to the following requests: Vegetarian, Vegan, Halal.

Water: Clean drinking water is made available throughout the tour and there is plenty of water on the boat.

Alcoholic Drinks: Our tour does not include alcoholic drinks. We can supply an ice-chiller box and Thai Beers on request, there is an additional cost for this. Guests are also welcome to bring their own alcoholic drinks, however we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing straws, or disposable cups on the tour.

whatsapp

👋 Things To Bring

You don’t need to bring much on the tour. We recommend bringing as little as possible. Although a few things are essential, sun protection is a must. All our boats have shade from the sun, but sunscreen, a sunhat and sunglasses are essential. We also encourage guests to bring sea shoes and a dry bag. These items are not essential but can improve the tour. Dry bags and sea shoes can be found for sale in souvenir shops around Ao Nang Beach.

👋 Thailand National Park

Park Entrance Fees are not included. This tour visits parts of the Noppharatthara Mu Koh Phi Phi National Park. The Park is a protected area which is managed by the DNP. This is their official website: https://portal.dnp.go.th/ . The National Park is not affiliated with Five Star Thailand Tours.

The DNP can and do close parts of the park including May Bay. This is not within our control, and closure orders are often given without warning. If Maya Bay is inaccessible due to a closure, the beach can be seen from the mouth of the bay.

There is an admission fee to enter the park. The fee is set by the DNP and paid to them directly. The rate applies to non-thai persons and is currently 400 Baht. However we have historically witnessed price increases and decreases without warning.

Conditions set by the park state once you have paid admission and received a ticket it can be used to enter any part of the Noppharatthara Mu Koh Phi Phi National Park. Both Maya Bay and Bamboo Island are located inside the park.

👋 Age and Health Policy

Children under 3 years old are not allowed on our tours. We apologise for any inconvenience. Guests who are 70 years or older must contact us before making a reservation and should be in good health. Our tours are not suitable for those with heart or back problems or pregnant women.
