As West Midland Safari Park opens up late for the whole of August, discover the perfect way to enjoy the lazy, hazy days of summer.

Come face-to-face with over 1,700 animal encounters and take advantage of extended admission times and even later night rides. This is a marvellous opportunity to visit West Midland Safari Park during the long school holidays, when visitors will have the chance to go on an amazing four-mile safari up to 7pm and see some brilliant animals, from cheetahs to tigers and baby elephants to giraffes! There are plenty of other baby animals around too – how many will you spot? There’s also the chance to visit the African Village, Meerkat Mayhem and Walking with Lemurs, not forgetting Penguin Cove in Discovery Trail and the all-weather facilities that include Lorikeet Landing, Creepy Crawlies, Seaquarium, Twilight Cave and Mark O’Shea’s Reptile World. Don’t forget the Sea Lion Shows, performed throughout the daytime and each evening from the Sea Lion Theatre arena.

Discover Worcestershire

One of England’s finest safari parks in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside.

The West Midland Safari Park near Kidderminster and Bewdley is a wonderful day out for all the family.  The park has a wide collection of magnificent animals including rare white lions, elephant, rhinos, tigers, Zebra, wild dogs from Africa and many other wonderful animals. Visitors can drive their own vehicles through the park along the trails or book a VIP Tour experience. A definite must visit for anyone with an interest in wildlife.

The Safari Park also features many extra discovery areas.  A favourites with the kids is the African Village with its mischievous meerkats and the lovely lemurs from Madagascar.  You can explore The Land of the Living Dinosaurs where animatronic beasts recall the days when these Dinosaurs ruled the world.  Don’t miss the theme park with its rollercoasters and many other amusement rides and, for younger children, there’s Boj’s Giggly Park with its playground features and brain teasers.

Visitors who view the safari park by car automatically get another ticket that allows them to visit again for free during the same season.  Conditions apply. For more information about this offer please click here .

The Safari Park has many other facilities including excellent catering and has become a popular venue for weddings and conferences.

West Midland Safari Park has a reputation for conservation activities and is home to many animals that are now on the IUCN’s endangered or critically endangered list. During May 2014 they delivered the first male African elephant to be successfully born in the United Kingdom as a result of the AI process.  The Park is closely linked with the Ongava Research Centre at the Ongava Game Reserve in Namibia, Southern Africa.

The Park is generally open between 10:00am and 05:00pm daily during the mid-February to November summer season. Last admissions to the park are usually at 04:00pm.  For the most accurate open times and entrance costs it is essential that you visit the official website of the West Midland Safari Park .

Introducing the award-winning Safari Lodges at West Midlands Safari Park. A mixture of beautiful lodges and premium cottages, designed to give you an up-close and immersive overnight wildlife experience like no other.

Safari Lodges short breaks include dinner and breakfast, spectacular views of the animals, admission to the Park during the day and Theme Park ride wristbands*.

Eight exclusive, luxury lodges, designed to give you an up-close and personal overnight wildlife experience like no other.

They will be integrated into the newly-updated reserves, with spectacular views overlooking the elephant and cheetah habitats.

Nestled into their own secluded area, there will be six lodges offering the only overnight accommodation experience with African elephants in the UK.

Two more lodges will offer incredible views of our majestic cheetahs.

Watch the wildlife as night falls over the reserves, whilst you enjoy a sumptuous evening meal, freshly-prepared by our chefs.

Wake up with views of elephants or cheetahs enjoying their morning feed while you feast on a delicious breakfast.

• Minimum age for participants is 6 years. Children aged 6-15 years must be accompanied by a full paying adult.
• VIP Experiences can either be booked for a specific date or on an open-dated basis valid for the season. Whilst we will always try to accommodate changes in date, this is subject to availability and cannot always be guaranteed.
• Once an experience has been purchased, refunds will not be considered.

• Meeting some smaller animals which could include chinchillas, tenrecs, rabbits, cockroaches or giant African snails

VIP MINI KEEPER EXPERIENCE – EXTRA INFO

• Meeting, feeding and helping to care for animals such as chinchillas, rats, meerkats, ferrets, rabbits and even some fascinating invertebrates
• A keeper certificate
• Suitable for children between the ages of 5-9 years.
• One parent may accompany the Mini Keeper to watch during the Experience, but they will not be able to participate.  They will only have access to the Safari Walk areas, and will not gain access to the Safari Drive.

We will be offering luxury overnight stays with lions in early summer 2023! The accommodation will be authentically integrated into the brand-new lion habitat, located past our African Village. Guests will experience an immersive and unforgettable overnight wildlife encounter, like no other.

The Lion Lodges will feature open-plan living and luxury interiors, with breathtaking views from every room into the new lion habitat, through floor-to-ceiling windows.

TIGER LODGE

We will be offering luxury overnight stays with Sumatran tigers in autumn 2022! The accommodation will be authentically integrated into the newly built tiger habitat, giving guests an immersive and unforgettable overnight wildlife encounter, like no other.

The Polar Express Train Ride

Join us at THE POLAR EXPRESS™ at South Devon Railway for a magical  Christmas Experience  unlike any other. Your journey begins just like the  2004 motion picture  when THE POLAR EXPRESS™ will pick you up at South Devon Railway to take you to the North Pole. You will get to meet the characters from the film including the conductor, the singing chefs, the hobo and of course the main man himself Father Christmas. You and your family, hopefully dressed in PJs, will experience a fun filled theatrical adventure as you make your way to the North Pole. Throughout your journey, you may tangle with the caribou and other magical happenings, as you have the original story of THE POLAR EXPRESS™ told to you by the singing Chefs. Don’t forget to have a bite of your cookie and authentic hot chocolate before arriving at the North Pole to meet Santa Claus. Santa will join you on board and, if you are on the nice list, hand you your first gift of Christmas, a Silver Sleigh Bell just as in the motion picture we all love. You will get to speak with Santa and he may even sign your THE POLAR EXPRESS™ book which is available to purchase with your Polar Express Tickets Once you arrive back at the station your journey is not at its end.
