Though, I have been to Sydney many times in my life, I leaned something new. The tour guide was a lovely lady with a very good knowledge of Australian history, well formed opinion on historical events and figures. Well done! Read more Written June 6, 2021

Lilly was very generous with her time answering all of our questions and showing us around. She had definitely set up us for an awesome stay in Sydney. Absolutely recommended. • 504vanessam 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles What a mess We arrived at the starting point at 10:20, we saw a group of people and a man on the phone with a orange free tour T shirt. At 10:35 the guide gave the signal of the departure, we walked to the cathedral followed him and big surprise a bus was waiting. However, he told us that there was no walking tour as no one showed interest at the starting point of the departure for a walking tour. It was very confusing, he was wearied an orange T shirt free tour but he was the guide for the bus tour and because we didn t book in advance he left us behind. Apparently the guide for the free walking tour was in red!!! We never saw an another guide and he never asked us at the point of departure if we were waiting for the walk tour. It messed up our day as we didn't have lot time to spent in the city. Read more Written March 14, 2020

Loads of information given in relation to local sight seeing of places of interest not covered in the tour. Also loads of information regarding transport, busses, ferries, trams etc. Thanks for a great morning Lily. Glad we joined you and we are looking forward to the bus tour tomorrow! • JohnCarruthers 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Great Bus Tour! Our group of 10 spent a great three hours doing the bus tour of Sydney. We saw most of the main Sydney sights with informative and humorous commentary from Martin. Can thoroughly recommend it as a way to see the main highlights. And at $18 per head (plus a tip) it was a better deal than some of the bigger operators. Good to see. Should be more of it in other cities. Read more Written March 4, 2020

  • ShoshanaS35 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles Kind and knowledgeable guide - but difficult to hear My friends and I did the free walking tour of Colonial Sydney and the Rocks. It was a very interesting tour which covered all of the main attractions you would want to see, but Lilly was unfortunately a bit difficult to hear. While she had a microphone and speaker, the size of the group made it hard to get the information she was sharing unless you were standing very close to her. Overall though it was a great introduction to the city. Read more Written February 23, 2020
  • Wendy J 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Unmissable opportunity to see Sydney's most important features in only 3 hours In my hotel lobby I found 2 bus tour brochures and I chose FreeToursSydney as it was a 3hour tour and the price was only $18 (ie this was to cover the cost of the bus as the tour guides give their time and service for free). It is optional to give a tip/gratuity to the guide at the end of the tour. This is the best $18 I have ever spent. I really enjoyed the route of the tour and all the views and attractions we were shown. Tour Guide, Martin, is one of the best tour guides I have ever met. He was very knowledgeable about Sydney History, had many interesting anecdotes to share about the places we saw, and he had a great sense of humour and was very obliging in catering to his bus passengers.(Martin made an unofficial stop to let me off at Bondi Junction so that I could leave the tour early to get on the train service to go to the airport to catch my flight home). The bus itself was very modern and very clean. I highly recommend this tour to any traveller visiting Sydney. Read more Written February 20, 2020

  • Globetrottergirls 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Not worth your time I think starting your exploration of a new city with a free walking tour is a great way to get an overview and some background information, and after having had a fantastic experience in Melbourne, I decided to join a free walking tour in Sydney, too. Unfortunately, the tour did not live up to my expectations. Our guide Lele picked some very noisy spots for her commentary and about half the group couldn't understand anything she was saying (despite her using a microphone). The distance covered wasn't very long but Lele asked us about five times before starting if we were sure we wanted to join a walking tour... I think everyone who signs up for a 2-hr walking tour is aware that there's walking involved and we didn't even walk that far. I wouldn't recommend this walking tour, maybe the other Free Walking Tour company in Sydney is better? Read more Written February 11, 2020
  • amateurtraveller51 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Great way to end our holiday! My sister and I spent part of our last day completing one of these tours we had seen advertised in our hotel lobby, and we both really enjoyed it! It was great fun to explore the streets of Sydney and get some in depth knowledge about the indigenous and colonial history of the city, which practically swims in it. I also very much enjoyed the locations we were brought to, and the little pieces of advice we were given about further exploring the city. Shout out to our tour guide Oliver who did an incredible job, practising patience, good nature and humour throughout the entirety of the walk. Would definitely recommend to any tourists willing to conduct it. Read more Written February 6, 2020
  • Pauline60000 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Bus tour was great for $18. plus what you wanted to give the tour guide. The tour guide was great and explained at length what we were going to see and how far we would have to walk. I would recommend this over the Hop On Hop Off as for the price we got so much more. We also did the Free Walking Tour, also tipping our guide well as she was so knowledgeable and walked then stopped to talk waiting for any stragglers. It is not a hard walk and she does not race along. Great tour. Read more Written January 31, 2020

Guide was good and interactive with the group re speed of travel and areas for stops for instructions. Very good information and tour around salient parts of the city. Had a microphone connected to a small portable speaker so whole group could hear.At the end she ask for a donation for the tour, and to give what you thought it was worth after stating it was highly regarded and better than other tours charging 30$ or more. No booking required.. just turn up and off you go. Good tour of the city. Read more Written January 31, 2020

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: what is the best time to book a moscow hop-on hop-off tour.

March to May is the best time to plan a visit to Moscow. The days are long with significant sunshine which makes this time ideal for exploring the city. January is the coldest month so make sure to avoid it if you have a low tolerance for chilly weather. However, you will be able to score some good deals on airfare and accommodation during this time.

Q: How does it work?

Moscow bus tour offers you the convenience and flexibility to get off at the nearest designated stop. No tour guide, you set your own itinerary. You’ll find all the stops are located strategically at all the major attractions, making your touring as hassle-free as possible. And then, when you’re ready to continue, return to a designated bus stop, show your pass, and hop back on the bus and onwards towards your next attraction. So, go ahead and make a whole loop of the route once you have your tour ticket, get familiar with the city and pick out your favorite places to visit and then return to them during your stay.

Q: How many days are enough to explore Moscow?

We recommend at least two to three days to explore Moscow at a relaxed pace and cover most of its prominent attractions while enjoying shopping and local cuisine.

Q: What is the validity of the ticket?

There are several ticket options available to you, depending on your length of stay. Each bus tour will have validity from 24, 36, 48 to 72 hours. And the great thing is you can plan ahead as the vouchers are valid anywhere between 6 months to 1 year and can be used at any point during that period. Check the product page or bus tour operator for complete details.

Q: Where can I find a list of all the stops and a map of the various Moscow hop-on hop-off tour routes?

You can visit the relevant product page and check the Useful Downloads section to find the latest information as routes, stops, and timings change frequently.
