On the 1st of April this year I went…

On the 1st of April this year I went with Titan on a grand tour of Japan. It turned out to be a very disappointing experience. The Japanese guide could not speak English very well she did not seem to have much knowledge of the areas and places that we travelled to. Also the program contained three cookery courses which we could’ve well done without I went on this holiday to see scenery places of interest not to cook. I feel this holiday with Titan was quite expensive and did not live up to my expectations.

Essence Of Japan - FAIL

A trip of a life time for my daughter and I is what I had planned. Especially as I'd booked it to coincide with blossom season. It will be memorable, but for all the wrong reasons. Titan provided guides who had NEVER undertaken this tour before. The tour manager had never been to Japan, he was clearly hoping to rely on the local guide. Our local guide spoke limited English, couldn't understand us when we asked questions and hadn't been to many of the places on the tour, so I certainly wouldn't describe her as knowledgeable. She got lost on multiple occasions resulting in us being late and having limited time at various destinations and locations. Recommendations on where to explore or eat when we had our limited free time were thanks to search engines rather than guides. The headsets systems for excursions were abandoned on the first attempt, never to be seen again. In total I think we had 6 different local guides. Sadly we had the worse for 10 days, hugely impacting on the enjoyment of the tour. The tour was of a poor standard Having paid over £11000 for this trip I'm left beyond disappointed. It was disorganised and substandard. Avoid booking this trip with Titan.

Poor service from titan

Booked a trip to Canada and a cruise ship, decided to book the have it all upgrade on the cruise. I found the cruise ship company offers the upgrade for £60 per day so it would be £420 so for 2 of us it would be£840 they said it has to be booked through titan. When I rang titan they said it would be £500 each so they have just made £160 for nothing. On top of that they kept the £1000 in their bank account and not informing the cruise ship company that we had upgraded so unable to book table reservations and shore excursion with the upgrade offer. 5days later still nothing has been done very poor service .Would not recommend them.

India and the Golden triangle.From being picked to being dropped off…

From being picked to being dropped off at home, the whole Titan experience was awesome. We were met at the airport by our tour guide Julia who was an absolute delight along with Bhu our local expert keeping our group well informed on the culture and sites that we visited. This our 2nd time of using Titan with another booked for November 24. This is now our go to travel company for our holidays.

First time away from England

First time away from England, was little panicky about it but have had Fantastic tour guide Ayman and egyptogist mohammed really nice and friendly and super helpful. Beautiful country and beautiful people, I will definitely come back again. Much love and respect thank you so much Titan travel absolutely amazing holiday. Adriatic Coastal Explorer

We booked this holiday at the last minute and what a good decision it turned out to be. Pick up and drop off at home is a real boon as we live a distance from London. A very late flight change meant we arrived in Croatia hours earlier than expected but our tour manager Bobby was there to greet us and Titan had arranged an extra lunch at a local restaurant. The ship was lovely and the crew delightful, nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere was welcoming and fun. The meals on board were excellent - how the chef managed in such a small space I don’t know. The tour guides were knowledgeable and entertaining and the ports of call interesting. Our highlight was Krka National Park and the waterfalls, absolutely stunning. We have travelled with a few tour groups in our time and I have to say that our tour manager Bobby was the best yet. Approachable, full of fun and very knowledgeable about his country it was a pleasure to be in his company. Thank you Bobby for making a good trip an excellent experience.

Rachel our Tour Manager

Rachel our Tour Manager was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and she was always cheerful. It would have been good to have coffee and tea facilities in our room especially as nothing available during the day two of which we endured very bad weather.

Dream holiday

My wife and I did the Nile cruise from Luxor to Edfu and back.This was one of the best trips if not the best that we have experienced thanks to Titan. The tour guide we had was called Samer Zani,and the Egyptologist was called Amed,these two went way beyond to make everyone’s holiday a dream and a good memory for years to come. The Boat we were on was called M V Livingstone,which again was more than expected,The crew were exceptional.well done to everyone involved.would highly recommend

My first solo trip

This is my first trip alone following the death of my husband. As a solo traveller the holiday appeared unavailable. Titan said they would attempt to source hotel rooms and get back to me as soon as they heard back from the individual hotels. I did in fact ring them because I was impatient, the details had all been confirmed an hour or two earlier and they were about to contact me. My confirmation, itinerary and additional info was emailed to me promptly and appears very comprehensive (27 pages worth!) I have confidence that things will go smoothly and won’t hesitate to make contact if I have any queries.

My "go to" holiday company

It took a while to get through to a booking agent when I called - there was a special offer on and it was almost the last day, so not surprising! The agent was very friendly and helpful and efficient - like talking to a friend! Booking made on the holiday I wanted with very little fuss. Cairo, Alexandria and Nile Cruise

First ever time on a tour with Saga/ Titan in Egypt. The experience has been amazing and the Tour Manager Ayman Ali and Egyptologist Mohamed Sayed, have been exceptional. The staff on the MS Nile Symphony cannot do enough for you and the creativity of the housekeeping staff has been superb. It is all the little extra touches that make you feel special. The tour and optional tours have been well tailored to give us an insight into the history of Egypt. Highly recommended and thank you for making our time in Egypt so special.

A wonderful holiday

A wonderful holiday touring Egypt - so well organised with trips, education and free time to relax. Accommodation at both the hotel and on the Symphony boat Nile Cruise were both clean, comfortable and air conditioned (which was well needed!) All meals were fantastic too with plenty of choice at a buffet style service. Our tour guide Aiyman and Egyptologist Mohammed were extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and we're available at any time to deal with any issues if they arose. The passion for their jobs shone through! Even though there is political unrest in neighbouring countries, security was taken care of and we felt safe at all times. A note for future travellers - there are a lot of uneven surfaces around the archeological sites so trainers/walking shoes definitely advisable over flip flops or sliders. A reasonable level of fitness is also needed to cope with steps/stairs and getting on and off the coach.

1st April 2024 Grand Tour of Japan

1st April 2024. Grand Tour of Japan. price £8595 including single supplement .I really thought that this would be a holiday of a life time. Most of the problems were because of the guides. Jean our British guide was very caring and did her best but had never been too Japan before so at first was relying on the Japanese guide for guidance. Seako was the worst guide that I have ever had in all my years of travel. Her command of English was very poor in fact I could only understand the odd word, I found it useless trying to use the headphones. Her knowledge of places of interest was really poor as was her ability to answer questions. We seemed to be rushed through places of interest and beauty to keep appointments with cookery classes. I had gone on this trip to see the blossom and to see places of interest, not to learn to cook. On the plus side we did have a group of lovely people and although it was a very full on trip {which I expected} we did experience a wide range of what Japan has to offer.

The Essence of Tuscany - A Classic Touring Holiday

My wife and I have used Titan on 4… My wife and I have used Titan on 4 occasions prior to this one. We find them to be well organised and interesting. This one was a bit constrained because the weather (for the 1st. time) wasn't good. However this is a new Titan trip and everything went more or less according to plan. There are a few little tweaks which were proposed by the travellers which would make it even better but, all in all, it was an enjoyable break. Hotel Minerva was old but had character, friendly staff & we enjoyed staying there. The Hotel NH Siena had no character at all. We only had our breakfasts in this hotel and had difficulty finding tea cups and a clean table to sit at most mornings. The only thing it had going for it was that it was ideally placed. My wife and myself really enjoyed the Tour Manager, Heather, who brightened up our day when the weather was really bad. We would have given it 3 stars if not for her. Well done Heather.

Just back from Titan Travels Adriatic Explorer

Just back from Titan Travels Adriatic Explorer, what a great experience. From being picked up at my front door to being brought back to my front door the whole experience was faultless, almost. Our tour guide “Bobby” picked us up at Split airport and was the perfect guide until he dropped us off a week later. The accommodation on board was slightly cramped, but perfectly adequate. The staff on board couldn’t have been more helpful, and the whole ship was spotless. The food served was almost fine dining quality, the excursions that were organised went without a problem, the local guides during the excursions spoke perfect English and were very well informed about their respective sites. All in all this is one of the best holiday experiences I have ever had. I said that the tour was faultless, almost. On our return to Gatwick for some reason or another, our transport home had not been organised, it took a whole five minutes to solve the problem and we were on our way. This is our second Titan holiday and we have found that if something does go wrong the problem solving is almost instant. We will certainly be taking Titan holidays again. There is nothing better than putting your suitcases outside your front door and switching off.

How I wish I did not have to leave a star for this company. After our disasterous trip to Japan we and our friends wrote to the CEO of the company and we know others have as well. We were promised a reply but nothing has happened which is about the norm from Titan. Nothing is done. Having read reviews from other customers about their experiences with the Japanese trip on different dates to ours the whole thing is an absolute disaster from start to finish being put on a Cathay Pacific flight away from our friends and not the promised brochure BA flight is unforgiveable , Bad tour guides helped ruin the holiday with poor quality head phones lack of information about the areas visited, getting us lost on numerous occasions no idea of opening closing time, too many things to list. As to offering us a free drink in the happy hour at Hiroshima for the mess up with the flights, we found it to be a complete insult. AI Nick, get your act together because if Titan carries on like this, it is a doomed company.
