The Tour Auto is once again heading for the Atlantic and returning to one of its favourite destinations, Biarritz, which has already been the finishing town for numerous editions, the most recent dating back to 2017. After scrutineering and the car display on Sunday 21 & Monday 22 April in Hall 6 of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, the drivers and co-drivers will set off on a 2,000km route to the elegant seaside town on the Basque coast. Young and old alike will be able to visit the Parc Fermé at the Cité de l’Océan for the final day of the car show.

This year, the administrative and technical scrutineering will take place at Paris Expo – Porte de Versailles, which will be open to the public exceptionally on Sunday afternoon (from 2pm) and on Monday 22 April from 10am to 5pm. It’s an opportunity for everyone to admire the ephemeral museum formed by the superb cars entered for this 33rd edition!

Tuesday 23 april

Autodrome utac linas-montlhéry, closed to the public.

The official start of the Tour Auto – at the UTAC Linas-Montlhéry Autodrome – will be closed to the public for the first sporting event.

For reasons of safety and traffic fluidity for local residents and the event, please do not approach the area around the Autodrome . Instead, we recommend that you discover the cars from the Parc Expo over the first few kilometres. Some suggested spots below!

Paris – TOURS, LA GRANGE DE MESLAY

The Tour Auto caravan will leave the Porte de Versailles for the UTAC Linas-Montlhéry Autodrome where the official start of the rally will be given. The competitors will then head to the Le Mans-Bugatti circuit for the first circuit event of the week. To round off this first leg, competitors will head to Tours, more precisely to La Grange de Meslay.

Wednesday 24 april

Tours ­­- limoges.

The day after the first warm-up leg, the competitors will leave La Grange de Meslay for Limoges. Around 400 kilometres await the drivers on this second day. The roadbook will take them to the Val de Vienne circuit. Known for its fast, flowing track, this twisty, selective circuit will put competitors to the test as they battle it out in a pack. Then it’s on to Limoges! And it’s always a pleasure for the Tour Auto to stop off in the capital of porcelain, where a huge number of spectators still come to pay it a visit, as they did in 2022.

Thursday 25 april

Limoges – carcassonne.

This third day of the rally will be the longest stage of the week, covering more than 500km through the Languedoc countryside. The stage ends in Carcassonne and its medieval citadel, La Cité, surrounded by a double wall defended by numerous watchtowers. At the foot of the Porte Narbonnaise, the main entrance to this medieval jewel, the Parc Fermé will be open to the competitors and the car enthusiasts who have come to welcome them.

Friday 26 april

Carcassonne – pau.

The penultimate day will mark the return of the Tour Auto to the Nogaro circuit. This legendary circuit, also known as the Paul Armagnac circuit, was created between 1959 and 1960 by Robert Castagnon and Paul Armagnac to host a number of motor races that continue to this day, including the Easter Cup, the Nogaro Grand Prix and many others. Competitors can follow in the footsteps of famous drivers such as Jean-Pierre Jaussaud, Alain Prost, Jean Alesi and Sébastien Loeb before heading off to Pau. A Pyrenean town and capital of the now-defunct sovereign principality of Béarn, Pau is a city steeped in history, where Tour Auto participants will end their day in the Tissié stadium car park.

Pau – biarritz.

On the final day of the Tour Auto 2024, the competitors will head for the Circuit Européen de Pau-Arnos before taking to the road again for the Basque Coast and its flagship city of Biarritz, which will bring this 33rd edition of the Tour Auto to a close. It is at the Cité de l’Océan that the valiant crews and their steeds will cross the finishing arch before a well-deserved rest.

Guide Complet du Tour Auto 2023 : le parcours, les horaires et les engagés

Ça approche ! Le Tour Auto 2023 se prépare et s’élancera dans deux semaines ! Comme chaque année, News d’Anciennes y sera mais comme on sait que vous serez nombreux à vouloir vous rendre au bord des routes, on vous a préparé ce guide pour que vous ne ratiez rien !

Le parcours de la cinquième journée du Tour Auto 2023 : Circuit Paul Ricard – Cannes

Les engagés du tour auto 2023 en régularité, le tour auto, comment ça marche .

Le Tour Auto est une épreuve particulière puisqu’elle mixe en fait plusieurs types de course. On y retrouve à la fois une épreuve VHC et une de VHRS. Avant de parler des engagés, faisons le point sur les catégories qui vous expliquent comment va fonctionner le Tour Auto 2023.

Le VHC : tout pour le scratch !

C’est cette catégorie qui se rapproche le plus de ce qu’on peut trouver dans un rallye moderne. Le but des engagés du Tour Auto 2023 en VHC, c’est d’aller le plus vite possible. Ce n’est pas pour rien que c’est la catégorie nommée « compétition ».

Attention, par contre, il ne s’agit pas d’être le premier à Cannes ! Le chrono n’est mis en marche que sur certaines épreuves : les spéciales sur route fermée et les épreuves sur circuit. Sur les premières, les concurrents du Tour Auto 2023 s’élanceront un par un, comme sur un rallye classique. Le but sera de signer le meilleur temps à l’arrivée. Sur les secondes, il y aura d’abord une séance d’essais pour réaliser le meilleur temps et permettre aux nouveaux de reconnaître le circuit avant de lancer la course à proprement parler.

Notez également que des pénalités peuvent être reçues pendant la course. Cela concerne notamment les liaison. Ainsi, entre la sortie d’une épreuve et le parc fermé qui regroupe les concurrents avant la suivante, il y a un temps à respecter. Si l’équipage ne passe pas le contrôle à la bonne heure, c’est la pénalité. De même un temps d’assistance trop grand le soir entraîne d’autres pénalités. Il faut donc ménager sa monture… mais ne pas traîner en route !

Notez également que le classement est donc scindé entre les autos en VHC et celles en GHI qui donnent chacun leur classement. Ainsi le vainqueur du Tour Auto 2023, celui qui sera affiché comme tel, sera le vainqueur VHC mais il se peut que le plus rapide sur la semaine soit en fait un des concurrents de la période GHI. Et puis comme les concurrents sont répartis sur trois plateaux, chacun voudra être le meilleur de son plateau… mais à part une éventuelle tournée à l’arrivée, pas de trophée dans ce cas précis.

Le VHRS : être régulier

VHRS : Véhicule Historique de Régularité Sportive. Là, on va utiliser les chronos… mais pas pour aller le plus vite. Le fonctionnement diffère cette fois entre les spéciales et les circuits.

Pour le coup c’est Benjamin Caller, engagé sur une Matra Djet 5S dont on vous reparlera très vite qui nous explique le fonctionnement :

« Les engagés du Tour Auto 2023 devront absolument respecter une moyenne donnée dans les spéciales. Le temps sera donné par l’ouvreur et ensuite on ajoute un certain pourcentage pour les autos en moyenne haute, en moyenne intermédiaire et en moyenne basse. Il faut aussi faire attention car ce n’est pas le temps pris à la fin de la spéciale qui est pris mais il y a des points de passages durant la spéciale et on ne sait pas où ils sont. Il ne faut être ni en avance, ni en retard. Le/la copilote doit donc suivre la distance parcourue et vérifier avec sa table de moyenne que le timing est toujours bon. »

« Sur circuit, c’est différent. Les essais servent à se familiariser avec la piste mais on fixe également son temps au tour de référence. Il faut donc l’approcher le plus possible pour ne pas prendre de pénalité, tout en gérant le traffic entre les différentes moyennes, finalement c’est sport aussi ! »

Ne pas oublier l’indice !

C’est un classement dans le classement de la catégorie compétition. Chaque voiture au départ du Tour Auto 2023 a son indice de performance. Il est le fruit d’un savant calcul qui prend en compte l’âge et la cylindrée de la voiture. Ainsi, un petit roadster anglais aura un Indice de Performance plus bas qu’une Ferrari 308 GTB. On prend ensuite cet indice et on le multiplie au temps de course. Ainsi on obtient le classement.

C’est un classement à ne pas négliger car, notamment dans le plateau 3 de la compétition, certains équipages ne viennent que pour cet indice et pas pour gagner une épreuve… ce que leur monture ne permettrait pas de toute façon.

Le parcours complet du Tour Auto 2023

Où voir le tour auto 2023 .

C’est la première question : avant même de regarder le parcours, sachez que vous ne pourrez pas le voir partout. Sur la route : aucun souci, sortez les chaises et la glacière et vous pourrez voir passer les autos pendant quelques heures !

En dehors des liaisons, il sera possible de voir les autos du Tour Auto 2023 en statique. Déjà au Grand Palais Éphémère à Paris. Attention, contrairement à l’an dernier, ce ne sera public QUE le Lundi 17 Avril de 10h à 17h, avec l’achat d’un programme de l’événement (15€ sur place). On note également que la journée proposera un village partenaire et la vente aux enchères organisée par Aguttes, là aussi on vous en reparlera vite.

Le programme vous sera également nécessaire pour pouvoir rentrer chaque soir au Parc Fermé où vous pourrez aussi voir les autos se faire soigner après leur journée de route… ou vous pouvez tenter de gagner vos places en cliquant ici .

Pas besoin de programme pour vous rendre dans les spéciales. Pour éviter les reconnaissances, les tracés ne seront disponibles que la veille du passage, à 17h et faites bien attention car les zones spectateurs sont limitées. Enfin, vous pourrez voir les autos rouler sur les circuits et ce sera, là aussi, gratuit.

Le parcours de la première journée du Tour Auto 2023 : Paris – Beaune

Comme d’habitude, départ du Grand Palais Éphémère avant l’aube pour quitter la capitale le Mardi 18 Avril.

Direction la Seine et Marne pour le regroupement et le départ officiel du Tour Auto 2023 qui se fera depuis le Château de Vaux le Vicomte.

Après une grosse liaison autoroutière, direction la Haute-Marne puis la Côte d’Or pour la première épreuve circuit à Dijon-Prenois. Après cela, cap au Sud pour gagner Beaune, arrivée de cette première étape. Sur le parcours, une spéciale sur route fermée est également au programme.

Le parcours de la deuxième journée du Tour Auto 2023 : Beaune – Clermont-Ferrand

Départ matinal, dès 6h30 pour les concurrents du Tour Auto 2023. Après une liaison dans le cœur de la Bresse, ce sera la deuxième épreuve sur circuit, au Circuit de Bresse.

Ensuite, cap à l’Ouest. Les équipages traverseront la Saône du côté de Mâcon avant de prendre un peu d’altitude et de contourner Roanne en direction de Clermont-Ferrand (Cournon pour être plus précis). Entre la sortie du circuit et cette arrivée, ce sont deux spéciales sur toutes fermées qui rythmeront la journée.

Le parcours de la troisième journée du Tour Auto 2023 : Clermont-Ferrand – Valence

Encore un circuit dès le matin ! Le rendez-vous est fixé à Charade pour la troisième épreuve circuit. Ensuite cap à l’est et vers Saint-Etienne avant de rejoindre l’Ardèche et les terres du Monte-Carlo avec un passage par St-Bonnet-Le-Froid avant de rejoindre Lalouvesc, Tournon-sur-Rhône puis Valence et son champ de Mars.

Là encore, dans la deuxième partie de la journée, deux spéciales sur route attendent les équipages du Tour Auto 2023.

Le parcours de la quatrième journée du Tour Auto 2023 : Valence – Circuit Paul Ricard

Une journée qui mixera les souvenirs de Monte-Carlo et de F1 ! Le Tour Auto 2023 passera en effet dans les baronnies et il est à parier que les spéciales ressembleront à certaines du mythique rallye hivernal et il y en aura deux au programme.

Ensuite, ce sera la Provence pour rallier le Circuit Paul-Ricard en milieu d’après-midi et c’est là que se terminera la journée, avec la quatrième et dernière épreuve sur circuit de la semaine.

Pour la dernière journée du Tour Auto, la mer ne sera pas tout de suite au programme ! Direction le nord, dans un premier temps, pour aller longer le Parc National du Verdon. Ensuite, direction Cannes pour l’arrivée du Tour Auto 2023 avec un passage par Fayence. La course se terminera en bord de mer avec un podium d’arrivée sur la Croisette !

Attention, la journée ne sera pas de tout repos avec trois spéciales sur route fermée, celles qui peuvent faire toute la différence !

Les engagés du Tour Auto 2023

Quelles autos sont éligibles au tour auto 2023 .

429 modèles d’auto sont éligibles au Tour Auto ! Oui, c’est beaucoup. Comment sont-ils définis ? C’est finalement assez simple : il faut que le modèle ait couru le Tour de France Automobile entre 1951 et 1973.

C’est ainsi qu’on peut y retrouver des autos très populaires comme les Citroën Traction ou 2CV, les Renault 8 « pas Gordini » mais aussi de vraies bêtes de course comme la Matra MS650 d’il y a deux ans ou les Jaguar Type E.

Il y a quelques exceptions tout de même, notamment avec des autos plus récentes qui peuvent se retrouver en course si les autos le méritent (en gros de vraies autos de rallye qui vous raviront vous chers spectateurs) comme les Ferrari 308 GTB Gr.4, les Porsche 911 RSR ou les BMW M1 Procar .

Sachez aussi que les autos ne courront pas toutes mélangées au Tour Auto 2023. Des catégories sont créées en fonction des années :

• VHC pour les autos d’avant 1966
• Classe G pour les autos entre 1966 et 1971
• Classe H/I pour les autos entre 1972 et 1981

Notez que les années ne sont pas celles de la construction des voitures mais celles qui sont notées sur le Passeport Technique Historique qui peut légèrement différer, plus de détails par ici .

Les engagés du Tour Auto 2023 en compétition

Vous reconnaîtrez ces engagés avec leurs numéros noirs sur fond blanc, commençant au 151. Les trois premiers jours, ils ouvriront la route, plateau 3 en tête, puis plateaux 4 et 5. Ensuite ils fermeront la marche avant l’arrivée.

Commençons par jeter un coup d’œil au plateau VHC en regardant le top 10 de l’édition 2022 ( tous les classements sont ici ). L’équipage vainqueur de l’an dernier, composé de l’ex-pilote de F1 Thierry Boutsen et d’Hervé Ordioni sera évidemment en ligne de mire. Ils repartent avec leur AC Cobra et seront frappés du 201, symboliquement le premier numéro du plateau 4 en VHC.

Les copains Thomas de Saulieu et Raphaël Favaro, deuxièmes l’an dernier ne repartent pas cette année. Troisièmes, Kohler et Laboisne repartent sur leur Cobra #212 et viseront un nouveau podium (cela fait un bout de temps qu’ils n’en sont pas descendus).

Les Penlae, 4e en 2022, seront de nouveau au départ avec le 911 #220, Jean-Pierre Lajournade et Christophe Bouchet seront au départ sur Type E #202, les Von Finckenstein porteront le #217 sur leur Lotus Elan tandis que celle de Richelmi et Barjou ne sera pas au départ. Pour terminer le top 10 de 2022, Gill-Didcock ne repartent pas, les Merlin auront le #222 sur leur Type E et Patrick Bonnardel retrouvera son fils au copilotage de sa Type E qui sera frappée du #210.

Viennent ensuite ceux qui n’avaient pas pu briller l’an dernier ou qui n’étaient pas présents et qu’il faudra suivre. Ainsi, dans la première catégorie, Berchon et Bordier repartent avec leur Jaguar Type E n°203 et les Bussolini avec leur Porsche 904 n°209.

Le Tour Auto 2023 sera aussi l’occasion de voir de nouvelles autos. On trouvera de nouvelles Type E et Cobra et Lotus Elan qui constituent le gros du plateau, et on note l’arrivée de deux Ford GT40 (les Peauger #214 et Breittmayer-Thomas #216).

Surtout, il y a un équipage star sur ce Tour Auto 2023, emmené par un ancien vainqueur de l’épreuve. C’est Henri Pescarolo, vainqueur en 1997 sur une Cobra Daytona qui prendra cette fois le départ sur une Cobra « normale » avec Michel Perrin comme copilote !

Dans le plateau 3, celui avec les autos les plus anciennes autos en compétition du Tour Auto 2023 on retrouvera des autos variées et une sacrée livraison de modèles mythiques !

On commence par quelques Ferrari avec une 250 MM (Meier-Amoroso #153) et deux 250 GT SWB (Der Lof-Bouman #167 et Fromm-Schneider #200). Autres italiennes, les Coupé Bertone et Giulietta Sprint seront en force. Ensuite on note des MG B, mais aussi MG A (notamment le superbe roadster de Mazoyer-El Bakkouri #152). Côté anglaises, les Jaguar seront représentées par deux Mk 2 (Nobili-Genin #155 et les Urban #197) ou encore des Austin-Healey 100, des Morgan Plus 4 Super Sports pour jouer aux avant-postes et des Mini (dont la #179 de Laetitia et Jean-Pierre Gagick).

On trouvera aussi des autos françaises avec une D.B HBR5 (Dupin-Bories #180) et une Renault 8 Gordini (Galivel-Conan #198). On ajoute deux autos G/H/I reversées dans ce plateau, une Simca 1000 Rallye 2 (Brazey-Degauchy #195) et une Renault 12 Gordini (Maris-Maris #196).

Du côté de la période G/H/I, le plateau 5 en fait, on retrouvera Mr John of B et Sibel, mais pas au volant de la Ligier JS2, puisqu’on les retrouvera avec une auto à suivre absolument sur ce Tour Auto 2023, la Ferrari 512 M de 1971 #251.

Les Jean, 2e sur leur Porsche 911 SC Gr.IV et Lancksweert et Van Riet, troisième sur leur 365 GTB/4 Gr.IV, Brigand et Albert sur une RSR ne seront pas non plus au départ. Reste Urs Beck et Christina Schnaffner qui seront au départ sur une 911 2.3 ST.

Sinon, on note aussi la présence sur le Tour Auto 2023 d’une Jidé 1600 (Allagnon-Bouquillon #298), d’une Opel Commodore GSE (Truffier-Josse #273), de Philippe Vandromme et Frederic Vivier sur leur GT40 (#262), de plusieurs Ferrari 308 GTB Gr.IV et, même si elles ne sont plus à l’honneur cette année, des Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Competizione de Mennechet-Brouesse (#255) et Rittweger-Hancock (#263). On ne parle même pas des 911, toujours bien représentées avec les RSR et les ST.

Le plateau 5 accueillera également Gery Blyenberg qui copilotera Olivier Pernaut sur la Ford Capri RS 2600 #290.

Deuxième liste des engagés, celle des équipages du Tour Auto 2023 qui viseront la victoire en régularité. On les reconnaîtra avec leur numéro rouge sur fond blanc. Ici aussi on aura deux groupes. On y retrouve plus de diversité d’autos et surtout c’est en régularité qu’on retrouve le plus de débutants.

Du côté des équipages à suivre, commençons par ceux qui ont brillé les années précédentes. Les belges Martens et Pyck, vainqueurs sortants repartent mais sans leur massive Volvo, ils courront avec le n°35 sur une Morris Mini Cooper S 1275. Leurs dauphins, D’Incau et Pagano repartent, eux, sur leur habituelle Jaguar Type E (#61) tandis que les Sucari, 3e en 2022 (et déjà multiples vainqueurs) délaissent leur 356 pour une Alfa Romeo TZ . Il faut dire que les autos carrossées par Zagato seront à l’honneur cette année.

Parmi les anciens vainqueurs, Marc Jay (vainqueur 2021) sera copilote de Mélanie Astles sur une Fulvia (#63), les Nicoules, vainqueurs en 2013, 2015 et 2020 repartent avec leur Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (#77), Eric Hamoniau, vainqueur 2019, sera associé à Jérôme Dupard sur la Ferrari 250 GT Lusso (#76).

De leur côté, Rigondet et Souillard, vainqueurs 2018, seront toujours au rendez-vous avec leur CG 1200 (#94), les argentins Hinrichsen et Mayo, vainqueurs 2017, seront au volant de leur éternelle Maserati 200SI (#36) sur le Tour Auto 2023… bref, ça va batailler fort avec de nombreux prétendant, on ne compte même pas les habituels outsiders !

En catégorie régularité on retrouvera aussi des stars. Déjà, avec le n°1, l’ami François Allain qui formera avec Dominique Chapatte un équipage 100% Turbo sur une Renault 4CV Motto de 1950 ! Côté médias, on ajoute la BMW 2002 Turbo de Géraldine Gaudy et Mathieu Sentis (#70) et la BMW 3.0 CSL de Gérgory Galiffi ou encore la « Team des Chefs » avec des noms qui parleront aux amateurs de gastronomie et d’émissions de cuisine : Rostang, Chabran ou Mallen, avec leurs habituelles BMW de la Team des Chefs.

Le Tour Auto 2023 proposera encore de la diversité niveau voitures en régularité. Au programme, des Ferrari avec des 250 Lusso (Vay-X #42, Bel-Fischmeister #74) et GT Boano (Schmitz-Koep – Westphal #92), des 275 (Selancy-Lancastre #117, Reimann-Brennwald #67, Oxenford-Celada #50, Baccanelli-Salimei #49, Ball-Pallacios Hasselbach #38, Kovalivker – Gallo #5 et les Ingram Hill #3) et puis on trouvera aussi des Dino 246 GT (Pozzoli-Egidy #39, Berthelot-Guyonnet Duperat #90 et Bordais-Soun #126). Côté autos classiques, on ne fait même pas le compte des Porsche 911 et 356 !

déà il faut avoir une auto qui corresponde à un modèle qui a couru le « vrai » Tour Auto, en évitant les modèles Porche ou Ferrari, surbookées d’une année sur l’autre. Suggestion? …un petit coupé sport BMW 700…. Jacky Ickx a fait le Tour Auto avec cette auto!

Merci pour touts ces détails, quel plaisir de revoir de vraies voitures comme on n’en referas jamais plus. Et oui, je suis un vieux nostalgique qui as vécu les rallyes des années 65 à 85. Au temps des coupes des alpes, neige et glace, mont blanc, et autre Lyon Charbonnières, et ou l’on passait des nuits complètes à rouler !! Que de bons souvenirs et aussi de galères C’est bien triste de voir ce que sont devenus les rallyes actuels, mais ceux qui n’ont pas vécus ces périodes, ne peuvent pas savoir. QUE VIVE ENCOR LONGTEMPS LE TOUR AUTO !!!

Monsieur FONTAINE, vous êtes un pauvre provocateur. Votre BMW M3 e36 est tout juste bonne à faire des runs sur les parkings sauvages des banlieues. Benjamin, n’hésitez pas à utiliser la censure pour « virer » cet indésirable. Réservez l’accès aux vrais passionnés. De plus 3 fautes en une ligne.

Tour Auto 2023 : l’itinéraire détaillé et les horaires de passage

Rendez-vous du 17 au 22 avril prochain pour l’édition 2023 du Tour Auto. Ce dernier partira de Paris pour rallier Cannes en cinq étapes sur les plus belles routes de France.

Plus que quelques jours avant que soit donné le coup d’envoi de cette nouvelle édition du Tour Auto ! Dès le lundi 17 mars prochain, les équipages se donneront rendez-vous au Grand Palais Éphémère , situé au coeur de Paris pour les vérifications techniques. Le lendemain, ils partiront ensuite sillonner les routes du pays en direction de cannes, quelques jours plus tard. Comme toujours, les engagés seront divisés en deux groupes, à savoir compétition et régularité. Le Tour Auto 2023 va t-il passer dans votre ville ? Découvrez l’itinéraire détaillé et les horaires de passage ci-dessous !

Lundi 17 avril : vérifications techniques et administratives à Paris

La semaine débutera avec les vérifications techniques et administratives au Grand Palais Ephémère, situé en bas du Champs-de-Mars à Paris. Durant cette journée, le public pourra venir découvrir les voitures et les participants de 10 à 17h, sur présentation du programme vendu sur place pour 15 €. Ce dernier sera également demandé pour accéder aux parcs fermés lors des différentes étapes durant la compétition.

Mardi 18 avril : Paris – Beaune

Le départ sera donné à partir de 6h depuis le Grand Palais Ephémère, en direction du Château de Vaux Le Vicomte , d’où partiront officiellement les engagés dès 7h20. Avant d’y arriver, ces derniers passeront notamment par Charenton-le-Pont, Champs-sur-Marne ou encore Maincy. Les premiers arriveront ensuite au circuit de Dijon-Prenois à partir de 14h20 et repartiront à 16h25. Ils seront ensuite à Beaune, devant le Palais des Congrès à 17h45.

Mercredi 19 avril : Beaune – Clermont-Ferrand

Pour cette 2ème étape, le départ sonnera à 6h30 et les équipages prendront la route en direction du circuit de Bresse . Ils arriveront dès 8h pour les premiers puis quitteront la piste à 10h05. Ils passeront ensuite par plusieurs communes telles que Dommartin-Les-Cuiseaux, Coublanc ou encore Pouilly-Sous-Charlieu. Enfin, ils arriveront le soir à 17h45 à la Grande Halle d’Auvergne située à Clermont-Ferrand où les voitures seront stationnées pour la nuit.

Jeudi 20 avril : Clermont-Ferrand – Valence

Le départ sera un peu moins matinal pour les équipages, qui démarreront leur moteur à 7h15. Une demie-heure plus tard, à 7h45, les premiers coureurs arriveront sur le superbe circuit de Charade et en sortiront à 10h, après avoir terminé l’épreuve. Ils rouleront ensuite sur les belles routes de la région pour atteindre Valence. L’arrivée de cette troisième étape se fera sur l’esplanade du Champs de Mars à 18h05 pour les plus rapides.

Vendredi 21 avril : Valence – Circuit Paul Ricard

Direction la Drôme Provençale pour les participants, qui partiront ce matin à 6h30 tapantes. Une très belle étape qui les conduira dans le parc naturel régional des Baronnies Provencales ainsi que dans le Vaucluse, en passant par les superbes villes de Lourmarin et Aix-en-Provence. Les engagés arriveront au circuit Paul-Ricard à 15h10 et repartiront à 16h30, avant d’arriver cinq minutes plus tard au parc fermé.

Samedi 22 avril : Circuit Paul – Ricard – Cannes

C’est la dernière ligne droite pour les concurrents ! Direction les Bouches du Rhône , le Var et les Alpes Maritimes pour cette 5ème étape, qui partira à partir de 8 heures. Encore une belle balade sur les superbes routes de la région, qui passera notamment par les Gorges du Verdon. Les équipages traverseront ensuite Cannes pour arriver sur la promenade Robert Favre Le Bret à partir de 17h10.

A titre d’informations, ces horaires correspond au passage des premiers participants. Les dernières voitures passent 2h30 plus tard environ.

Riding the Metro with Lena was a real adventure and a lot of fun. In Saint Petersburg we found Anna well versed in the history of the Tsars and in the Hermitage collection. Arkady in Veliky Novgorod was a very good guide and answered all of our questions with ease. Novgorod was perhaps a long way to go for a day trip, but we did enjoy it. Vasily was a great driver to have and kept us safe with good humour and skill. We enjoyed ourselves so much, my daughter says she is already planning to return. We would both have no hesistation to recommend ExpresstoRussia to anyone we know.

Just wanted to let you know that My grandson Bruno and I couldn´t have been more pleased with our week in Moscow (6/15 - 6/21). We were absolutely enchanted with the whole experience, including getting lost a couple of times in the Metro during our free time. Although both our guides (both Eleanas) were excellent, I would particularly commend the first one (she took us to the Tatiakov, the KGB tour, and to that beautiful cemetery where so many great Russian artists, authors, composers, musicians, militarists, and politicians are buried). Her knowledge is encyclopedic; and her understanding of today´s Russia as a product of its past was, for us, truly enlightening. I will be taking another tour in Russia, with my wife, within the next two or three years. I will be in touch with you when the time comes. Do they speak English in Moscow?

As Russia’s capital city, tourists are well accommodated in Moscow. There should be English-speaking staff in restaurants, bars, hotels, shops and attractions in tourist hotspots, and there are also English-speaking tourist police. Transport services have English translations on their maps and English announcements via intercom; alternatively, order taxis from the Yandex Taxi app (Russian Uber), though it’s unlikely that your taxi driver will speak English. If you get stuck and cannot communicate, it’s fine to use Google Translate.

Is it safe to travel to Moscow?

It is no less safe to travel to Moscow than to any European city if you exercise common sense and look after your belongings. As with every city some regions can be more unsavoury than others, but no tourist attractions are located there. The traffic in Moscow is notorious, so exercise caution when crossing roads. Do not take unlicensed taxis; book in advance or take public transport, which is widespread and perfectly safe. If you encounter any problems, look for the special tourist police who can help you. Travel Itinerary For One Week in Moscow: The Best of Moscow!

I just got back from one week in Moscow. And, as you might have already guessed, it was a mind-boggling experience. It was not my first trip to the Russian capital. But I hardly ever got enough time to explore this sprawling city. Visiting places for business rarely leaves enough time for sightseeing. I think that if you’ve got one week in Russia, you can also consider splitting your time between its largest cities (i.e. Saint Petersburg ) to get the most out of your trip. Seven days will let you see the majority of the main sights and go beyond just scratching the surface. In this post, I’m going to share with you my idea of the perfect travel itinerary for one week in Moscow.

Moscow is perhaps both the business and cultural hub of Russia. There is a lot more to see here than just the Kremlin and Saint Basil’s Cathedral. Centuries-old churches with onion-shaped domes dotted around the city are in stark contrast with newly completed impressive skyscrapers of Moscow City dominating the skyline. I spent a lot of time thinking about my Moscow itinerary before I left. And this city lived up to all of my expectations.

Travel Itinerary For One Week in Moscow

Day 1 – red square and the kremlin.

Metro Station: Okhotny Ryad on Red Line.

No trip to Moscow would be complete without seeing its main attraction. The Red Square is just a stone’s throw away from several metro stations. It is home to some of the most impressive architectural masterpieces in the city. The first thing you’ll probably notice after entering it and passing vendors selling weird fur hats is the fairytale-like looking Saint Basil’s Cathedral. It was built to commemorate one of the major victories of Ivan the Terrible. I once spent 20 minutes gazing at it, trying to find the perfect angle to snap it. It was easier said than done because of the hordes of locals and tourists.

As you continue strolling around Red Square, there’s no way you can miss Gum. It was widely known as the main department store during the Soviet Era. Now this large (yet historic) shopping mall is filled with expensive boutiques, pricey eateries, etc. During my trip to Moscow, I was on a tight budget. So I only took a retro-style stroll in Gum to get a rare glimpse of a place where Soviet leaders used to grocery shop and buy their stuff. In case you want some modern shopping experience, head to the Okhotny Ryad Shopping Center with stores like New Yorker, Zara, and Adidas.

To continue this Moscow itinerary, next you may want to go inside the Kremlin walls. This is the center of Russian political power and the president’s official residence. If you’re planning to pay Kremlin a visit do your best to visit Ivan the Great Bell Tower as well. Go there as early as possible to avoid crowds and get an incredible bird’s-eye view. There are a couple of museums that are available during designated visiting hours. Make sure to book your ticket online and avoid lines.

Day 2 – Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, the Tretyakov Gallery, and the Arbat Street

Metro Station: Kropotkinskaya on Red Line

As soon as you start creating a Moscow itinerary for your second day, you’ll discover that there are plenty of metro stations that are much closer to certain sites. Depending on your route, take a closer look at the metro map to pick the closest.

The white marble walls of Christ the Saviour Cathedral are awe-inspiring. As you approach this tallest Orthodox Christian church, you may notice the bronze sculptures, magnificent arches, and cupolas that were created to commemorate Russia’s victory against Napoleon.

Unfortunately, the current Cathedral is a replica, since original was blown to bits in 1931 by the Soviet government. The new cathedral basically follows the original design, but they have added some new elements such as marble high reliefs.

Home to some precious collection of artworks, in Tretyakov Gallery you can find more than 150,000 of works spanning centuries of artistic endeavor. Originally a privately owned gallery, it now has become one of the largest museums in Russia. The Gallery is often considered essential to visit. But I have encountered a lot of locals who have never been there.

Famous for its souvenirs, musicians, and theaters, Arbat street is among the few in Moscow that were turned into pedestrian zones. Arbat street is usually very busy with tourists and locals alike. My local friend once called it the oldest street in Moscow dating back to 1493. It is a kilometer long walking street filled with fancy gift shops, small cozy restaurants, lots of cute cafes, and street artists. It is closed to any vehicular traffic, so you can easily stroll it with kids.

Day 3 – Moscow River Boat Ride, Poklonnaya Hill Victory Park, the Moscow City

Metro Station: Kievskaya and Park Pobedy on Dark Blue Line / Vystavochnaya on Light Blue Line

Voyaging along the Moscow River is definitely one of the best ways to catch a glimpse of the city and see the attractions from a bit different perspective. Depending on your Moscow itinerary, travel budget and the time of the year, there are various types of boats available. In the summer there is no shortage of boats, and you’ll be spoiled for choice.

Travel Itinerary for One Week in Beijing

If you find yourself in Moscow during the winter months, I’d recommend going with Radisson boat cruise. These are often more expensive (yet comfy). They offer refreshments like tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and, of course, alcoholic drinks. Prices may vary but mostly depend on your food and drink selection. Find their main pier near the opulent Ukraine hotel . The hotel is one of the “Seven Sisters”, so if you’re into the charm of Stalinist architecture don’t miss a chance to stay there.

The area near Poklonnaya Hill has the closest relation to the country’s recent past. The memorial complex was completed in the mid-1990s to commemorate the Victory and WW2 casualties. Also known as the Great Patriotic War Museum, activities here include indoor attractions while the grounds around host an open-air museum with old tanks and other vehicles used on the battlefield.

How I Planned My Trip to Vietnam

The hallmark of the memorial complex and the first thing you see as you exit metro is the statue of Nike mounted to its column. This is a very impressive Obelisk with a statue of Saint George slaying the dragon at its base.

Maybe not as impressive as Shanghai’s Oriental Pearl Tower , the skyscrapers of the Moscow City (otherwise known as Moscow International Business Center) are so drastically different from dull Soviet architecture. With 239 meters and 60 floors, the Empire Tower is the seventh highest building in the business district.

The observation deck occupies 56 floor from where you have some panoramic views of the city. I loved the view in the direction of Moscow State University and Luzhniki stadium as well to the other side with residential quarters. The entrance fee is pricey, but if you’re want to get a bird’s eye view, the skyscraper is one of the best places for doing just that.

Day 4 – VDNKh, Worker and Collective Farm Woman Monument, The Ostankino TV Tower

Metro Station: VDNKh on Orange Line

VDNKh is one of my favorite attractions in Moscow. The weird abbreviation actually stands for Russian vystavka dostizheniy narodnogo khozyaystva (Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy). With more than 200 buildings and 30 pavilions on the grounds, VDNKh serves as an open-air museum. You can easily spend a full day here since the park occupies a very large area.

Places to Visit in Barcelona That Aren’t Beaches

First, there are pavilions that used to showcase different cultures the USSR was made of. Additionally, there is a number of shopping pavilions, as well as Moskvarium (an Oceanarium) that features a variety of marine species. VDNKh is a popular venue for events and fairs. There is always something going on, so I’d recommend checking their website if you want to see some particular exhibition.

A stone’s throw away from VDNKh there is a very distinctive 25-meters high monument. Originally built in 1937 for the world fair in Paris, the hulking figures of men and women holding a hammer and a sickle represent the Soviet idea of united workers and farmers. It doesn’t take much time to see the monument, but visiting it gives some idea of the Soviet Union’s grandiose aspirations.

I have a thing for tall buildings. So to continue my travel itinerary for one week in Moscow I decided to climb the fourth highest TV tower in the world. This iconic 540m tower is a fixture of the skyline. You can see it virtually from everywhere in Moscow, and this is where you can get the best panoramic views (yep, even better than Empire skyscraper).

Parts of the floor are made of tempered glass, so it can be quite scary to exit the elevator. But trust me, as you start observing buildings and cars below, you won’t want to leave. There is only a limited number of tickets per day, so you may want to book online. Insider tip: the first tour is cheaper, you can save up to $10 if go there early.

Day 5 – A Tour To Moscow Manor Houses

Metro Station: Kolomenskoye, Tsaritsyno on Dark Green Line / Kuskovo on Purple Line

I love visiting the manor houses and palaces in Moscow. These opulent buildings were generally built to house Russian aristocratic families and monarchs. Houses tend to be rather grand affairs with impressive architecture. And, depending on the whims of the owners, some form of a landscaped garden.

During the early part of the 20th century though, many of Russia’s aristocratic families (including the family of the last emperor) ended up being killed or moving abroad . Their manor houses were nationalized. Some time later (after the fall of the USSR) these were open to the public. It means that today a great many of Moscow’s finest manor houses and palaces are open for touring.

20 Travel Tips I’ve Learned From Travelling The World

There are 20 manor houses scattered throughout the city and more than 25 in the area around. But not all of them easily accessible and exploring them often takes a lot of time. I’d recommend focusing on three most popular estates in Moscow that are some 30-minute metro ride away from Kremlin.

Sandwiched between the Moscow River and the Andropov Avenue, Kolomenskoye is a UNESCO site that became a public park in the 1920’s. Once a former royal estate, now it is one of the most tranquil parks in the city with gorgeous views. The Ascension Church, The White Column, and the grounds are a truly grand place to visit.

You could easily spend a full day here, exploring a traditional Russian village (that is, in fact, a market), picnicking by the river, enjoying the Eastern Orthodox church architecture, hiking the grounds as well as and wandering the park and gardens with wildflower meadows, apple orchards, and birch and maple groves. The estate museum showcases Russian nature at its finest year-round.

If my travel itinerary for one week in Moscow was a family tree, Tsaritsyno Park would probably be the crazy uncle that no-one talks about. It’s a large park in the south of the city of mind-boggling proportions, unbelievable in so many ways, and yet most travelers have never heard of it.

The palace was supposed to be a summer home for Empress Catherine the Great. But since the construction didn’t meet with her approval the palace was abandoned. Since the early 1990’s the palace, the pond, and the grounds have been undergoing renovations. The entire complex is now looking brighter and more elaborately decorated than at possibly any other time during its history. Like most parks in Moscow, you can visit Tsaritsyno free of charge, but there is a small fee if you want to visit the palace.

How To Stop Procrastinating When Trip Planning

Last, but by no means least on my Moscow itinerary is Kuskovo Park . This is definitely an off-the-beaten-path place. While it is not easily accessible, you will be rewarded with a lack of crowds. This 18th-century summer country house of the Sheremetev family was one of the first summer country estates of the Russian nobility. And when you visit you’ll quickly realize why locals love this park.

Like many other estates, Kuskovo has just been renovated. So there are lovely French formal garden, a grotto, and the Dutch house to explore. Make sure to plan your itinerary well because the estate is some way from a metro station.

Day 6 – Explore the Golden Ring

Creating the Moscow itinerary may keep you busy for days with the seemingly endless amount of things to do. Visiting the so-called Golden Ring is like stepping back in time. Golden Ring is a “theme route” devised by promotion-minded journalist and writer Yuri Bychkov.

Having started in Moscow the route will take you through a number of historical cities. It now includes Suzdal, Vladimir, Kostroma, Yaroslavl and Sergiev Posad. All these awe-inspiring towns have their own smaller kremlins and feature dramatic churches with onion-shaped domes, tranquil residential areas, and other architectural landmarks.

Two Weeks In Thailand: The Perfect 14-Day Itinerary

I only visited two out of eight cities included on the route. It is a no-brainer that Sergiev Posad is the nearest and the easiest city to see on a day trip from Moscow. That being said, you can explore its main attractions in just one day. Located some 70 km north-east of the Russian capital, this tiny and overlooked town is home to Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, UNESCO Site.

Sergiev Posad is often described as being at the heart of Russian spiritual life. So it is uncommon to see the crowds of Russian pilgrims showing a deep reverence for their religion. If you’re traveling independently and using public transport, you can reach Sergiev Posad by bus (departs from VDNKh) or by suburban commuter train from Yaroslavskaya Railway Station (Bahnhof). It takes about one and a half hours to reach the town.

Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius is a great place to get a glimpse of filling and warming Russian lunch, specifically at the “ Gostevaya Izba ” restaurant. Try the duck breast, hearty potato and vegetables, and the awesome Napoleon cake.

Day 7 – Gorky Park, Izmailovo Kremlin, Patriarch’s Ponds

Metro Station: Park Kultury or Oktyabrskaya on Circle Line / Partizanskaya on Dark Blue Line / Pushkinskaya on Dark Green Line

Gorky Park is in the heart of Moscow. It offers many different types of outdoor activities, such as dancing, cycling, skateboarding, walking, jogging, and anything else you can do in a park. Named after Maxim Gorky, this sprawling and lovely park is where locals go on a picnic, relax and enjoy free yoga classes. It’s a popular place to bike around, and there is a Muzeon Art Park not far from here. A dynamic location with a younger vibe. There is also a pier, so you can take a cruise along the river too.

How to Save Money While Traveling in Europe

The Kremlin in Izmailovo is by no means like the one you can find near the Red Square. Originally built for decorative purposes, it now features the Vernissage flea market and a number of frequent fairs, exhibitions, and conferences. Every weekend, there’s a giant flea market in Izmailovo, where dozens of stalls sell Soviet propaganda crap, Russian nesting dolls, vinyl records, jewelry and just about any object you can imagine. Go early in the morning if you want to beat the crowds.

All the Bulgakov’s fans should pay a visit to Patriarch’s Ponds (yup, that is plural). With a lovely small city park and the only one (!) pond in the middle, the location is where the opening scene of Bulgakov’s novel Master and Margarita was set. The novel is centered around a visit by Devil to the atheistic Soviet Union is considered by many critics to be one of the best novels of the 20th century. I spent great two hours strolling the nearby streets and having lunch in the hipster cafe.

Conclusion and Recommendations

To conclude, Moscow is a safe city to visit. I have never had a problem with getting around and most locals are really friendly once they know you’re a foreigner. Moscow has undergone some serious reconstruction over the last few years. So you can expect some places to be completely different. I hope my one week Moscow itinerary was helpful! If you have less time, say 4 days or 5 days, I would cut out day 6 and day 7. You could save the Golden Ring for a separate trip entirely as there’s lots to see!
