Biophilic design is a discipline that incorporates natural elements into the built environment and focuses on rational reasons. Designers cannot replicate natural sunlight in the interior. However, they can be decorated with plants, which brings a natural element to the interior. Plants increase productivity and make a workplace more appealing, thus attracting more workers to the organization. Plants help reduce stress as well as clean and purify the indoor air.

Instead, they can use the gym on site before, after or during work.

Popular Interior Design Ideas for Travel Agency Offices

When it comes to designing the interior of a travel agency office, there are several popular ideas that can help create an inviting and inspiring space for both employees and clients. One popular idea is to incorporate elements of different travel destinations into the design. This can be done through the use of artwork, photographs, or even furniture pieces that represent different cultures and countries. For example, you could have a Moroccan-inspired seating area or a wall display showcasing images from various tropical destinations.

Another popular interior design idea for travel agency offices is to create a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. This can be achieved through the use of soft lighting, cozy seating areas, and natural materials such as wood or bamboo. Adding plants and greenery can also help create a calming environment. Additionally, incorporating elements of nature into the design, such as a living wall or waterfall feature, can add a sense of tranquility.

In terms of color schemes, many travel agencies opt for bright and vibrant colors to evoke a sense of excitement and adventure. Blues and greens are often used to represent water and nature, while yellows and oranges can bring warmth and energy to the space. It’s important to strike a balance between bold colors and more neutral tones to create a visually pleasing environment.

Key features:

  • Incorporate elements of different travel destinations
  • Create a relaxing atmosphere with soft lighting
  • Use natural materials like wood or bamboo
  • Add plants and greenery for a calming effect
  • Choose bright colors for excitement and adventure

Imagine walking into a travel agency office that immediately transports you to different parts of the world. As you step inside, you are greeted by a Moroccan-inspired seating area with colorful cushions and intricate patterns adorning the walls. The soft lighting creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, making you feel as though you have stepped into a cozy riad in Marrakech.

As you explore further, you come across a wall display showcasing stunning photographs of tropical destinations. The vibrant blues and greens of the ocean and lush greenery instantly make you yearn for a beach vacation. Nearby, there is a seating area surrounded by plants and greenery, creating a sense of tranquility and relaxation.

Incorporating Elements of Different Cultures into Travel Agency Interior Design

Cultural influence in travel agency interior design.

Incorporating elements of different cultures into travel agency interior design can create a unique and immersive experience for clients. By showcasing cultural artifacts, artwork, and traditional designs from various destinations, travel agencies can transport their clients to different parts of the world even before they embark on their journeys. This can help create a sense of excitement and anticipation for travelers.

Examples of Cultural Elements

Some examples of cultural elements that can be incorporated into travel agency interior design include:

1. Artwork: Displaying paintings, sculptures, or photographs that represent different cultures can add visual interest and provide a glimpse into the diverse destinations clients can explore. 2. Textiles: Incorporating textiles such as rugs or tapestries from different cultures can add warmth and texture to the space. 3. Furniture: Using furniture styles inspired by different cultures, such as Moroccan or Japanese designs, can create an authentic atmosphere. 4. Colors: Choosing color palettes that are commonly associated with specific cultures, like vibrant reds and yellows for Chinese culture or earthy tones for African culture, can evoke a sense of place.

By carefully selecting and integrating these cultural elements into the travel agency’s interior design, it becomes more than just a place to book trips but also a destination in itself.

Creating an Immersive Experience

To fully immerse clients in the cultures they are interested in exploring, travel agencies can go beyond visual elements. They can incorporate other sensory experiences such as music or scents associated with specific destinations. For example, playing traditional music from Greece while showcasing Greek-inspired decor can transport clients to the Mediterranean.

Additionally, incorporating interactive displays where clients can try on traditional clothing or taste samples of local cuisine adds another layer of immersion. These experiences can help clients envision themselves in the destinations they are considering and make more informed decisions about their travel plans.

In summary, incorporating elements of different cultures into travel agency interior design can create a captivating and immersive experience for clients. By showcasing cultural artifacts, artwork, and traditional designs, travel agencies can transport their clients to different parts of the world even before they embark on their journeys. This not only adds visual interest but also helps create a sense of excitement and anticipation for travelers.

Soft, ambient lighting can be used in waiting areas or lounges, while brighter task lighting is essential for workstations and display areas.

Factors to consider when choosing colors and lighting for a travel agency’s interior:

  • The desired ambiance
  • The target audience
  • The functionality of each space
  • The availability of natural light

Themed Displays

Another approach is to create themed displays that reflect specific destinations or types of vacations. For example, a beach-themed display could feature sand, seashells, and tropical plants along with brochures showcasing beach resorts and activities. A mountain-themed display could incorporate elements like pinecones, hiking gear, and images of scenic mountain ranges.

Furniture Layout and Arrangement for a Welcoming and Organized Atmosphere in a Travel Agency

Zoning areas.

To create an organized atmosphere, it is important to divide the space into different zones based on their functions. For example, there could be separate areas for client consultations, brochure displays, and staff workstations. Clearly defining these zones with furniture placement helps clients navigate the space easily.

Comfortable Seating Arrangements

Placing comfortable seating arrangements strategically throughout the travel agency allows clients to relax while discussing their travel plans. Grouping chairs around coffee tables or creating cozy nooks with sofas and pillows can make the space feel more welcoming and encourage clients to spend more time exploring their options.

Cost-Effective Ways to Enhance the Aesthetics of a Small-Sized Travel Agency Office Space

Optimize lighting.

Using natural light as much as possible not only saves energy but also creates a bright and inviting atmosphere. Maximizing windows and incorporating mirrors can help bounce light around the space, making it appear larger. Additionally, using light-colored paint or wallpaper can give the illusion of more space.

Multifunctional Furniture

In a small-sized travel agency office, choosing multifunctional furniture is key to maximizing space. For example, desks with built-in storage or foldable tables that can be expanded when needed are practical solutions. Utilizing wall-mounted shelves or cabinets also helps keep the floor area clutter-free.

Eco-Friendly Design Options for a Sustainable Travel Agency’s Interior

Use of recycled materials.

Choosing furniture and decor items made from recycled materials is an eco-friendly option. This could include chairs made from recycled plastic or tables crafted from reclaimed wood. Additionally, using recycled paper for brochures and promotional materials further supports sustainability efforts.

Energy-Efficient Lighting

Visible Logo Placement

Strategic placement of the company logo in prominent areas of the travel agency office, such as reception desks or entrance signage, ensures it is easily visible to clients. This reinforces brand recognition and helps establish a professional image.

Successful Real-Life Examples of Travel Agency Interior Designs with Positive Client Feedback

Travel photography gallery.

Displaying travel-themed artwork, particularly high-quality photographs of stunning destinations, adds visual appeal to the travel agency’s interior. These images can transport clients mentally to different places and evoke emotions associated with travel, inspiring them to explore further.

Mixed Media Art Installations

Incorporating mixed media art installations that combine elements like maps, vintage postcards, and three-dimensional objects can create unique focal points within the travel agency’s interior. This not only enhances visual appeal but also sparks conversation and intrigue among clients.

The Use of Natural Materials to Create Authenticity and Warmth in a Travel Agency’s Interior

Wooden accents.

Integrating wooden accents, such as furniture pieces or wall paneling, adds warmth and authenticity to the travel agency’s interior. The natural texture and grain of wood create a sense of connection with nature, which aligns well with the concept of travel.

Natural Fiber Textiles

Using natural fiber textiles like cotton, linen, or jute for upholstery, curtains, or rugs brings a touch of organic beauty to the travel agency’s interior. These materials not only add visual interest but also contribute to a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

In conclusion, when it comes to designing your travel agency’s interior, creativity and functionality are key. Consider incorporating elements that evoke a sense of wanderlust and adventure, such as maps, globes, and travel-themed artwork. Navigating Office Design: Crafting the Perfect Space for Your Travel Agency

wall travel agency office design

In the present cutthroat travel industry, making an inviting and utilitarian office space for your business can have a tremendous effect in drawing in clients and helping efficiency. The plan of your office space assumes a significant part in making a positive impact on possible clients and giving a helpful workplace to your staff. From layout and aesthetics to functionality and branding, the most important aspects of designing an office space for your travel agency will be discussed in this article.

Layout and Flow

The most vital phase in planning a workspace for your organisation is to design the format and stream of the space. Productive utilisation of the room is fundamental to guarantee that your office is both inviting and utilitarian. Start by evaluating the accessible area and deciding how to allot it for various purposes. Commonly, a travel office ought to have assigned regions for client interviews, staff workstations, a waiting area, and a front desk. The progression of the space ought to be instinctive, permitting clients to explore the workplace without any problem. Guarantee that the design advances collaboration between staff individuals while keeping up with protection for private conversations.

Aesthetic Appeal

Your agency’s aesthetics are crucial to making a good first impression on customers. Consider the variety of plans, lighting, and styles to convey a strong and welcoming environment. Gritty and calming tones frequently function admirably in travel service workplaces, as they summon a feeling of unwinding and a chronic longing for something new. Integrate components of movement and experience into the style, for example, outlined travel photographs, world guides, or travel-related fine art. In addition, ensure that there is a balance between natural and artificial light sources in the space. Regular light can improve the feel and diminish energy costs, while decisively positioned task lighting guarantees that staff can work easily.

Working with Professionals

It can be difficult to design an office space that combines functionality and aesthetics. This is where experts in retail design can make a big difference. Retail plan professionals will be specialists in making engaging and utilitarian spaces that take care of your particular business needs. They have the information and experience to plan a work area that meets your stylish inclinations as well as boosts the utilisation of room and consolidates the most recent innovation patterns. By working with these experts, you can concentrate on running your travel agency while entrusting the design and layout to capable hands. While working with professionals, make a point to impart your vision, image character, and financial plan requirements to guarantee a fruitful organization.

Functionality and Technology

Your office space needs to be highly functional and equipped with the most recent technology to run a successful agency. Put resources into ergonomic furniture that advances solace and efficiency for your staff. Use space-saving furniture to augment the accessible space. It is additionally vital to coordinate innovation; you ought to have a solid web network, a cutting-edge reservation framework, and exceptional travel data assets. Think about setting up committed workstations for staff to research and book travel courses of action, while likewise giving confidential spaces for client discussions. An exceptional communal space for gatherings and introductions can likewise be an important expansion to your office.

Branding and Ambiance

Your workspace ought to mirror your travel service’s marketing and make a vital encounter for clients. Integrate your organization’s logo, colours, and slogan into the workplace style. The vibe ought to line up with your company’s main goal and values, creating a feeling of trust and dependability. Think about how you want your customers to feel when they walk into your office, whether it’s the excitement of starting a new adventure or the peace of mind that comes from knowing they are in good hands. Individual contacts, for example, a welcome drink station with movement-themed rewards, can go far in creating an inviting climate.

In conclusion, designing an office space for your travel agency requires careful planning, and consideration of aesthetics, functionality, and branding. Your work area ought to be an impression of your organization’s qualities, offering an inviting climate for clients and a useful work area for your staff. By focusing on format, style, usefulness, and marketing, you can make a space that draws in clients as well as improves the general progress of your travel service.

How to Design a Great Looking Travel Office

Travel offices need to be engaging, warm and inspirational. Whether you're a travel agent or a university's study abroad director, a drab office won't lure travelers in or get them thinking about adventure. Because the world is a beautiful place and there are so many opportunities and locations that can make any traveler dream, the travel office should reflect those same ideas. There are a few small things you can do to make big changes in your travel office.

Video of the Day

Things You'll Need

Modern Furniture

...

Make sure your space is modernized, clean and inviting. A dull room with an old rug or ripped chairs won't be conducive to a trusting customer. Customers pay travel agents and companies a great deal of money to book a great trip for them. Because of this, the travel office should reflect the company's desire to be the best. The office should be updated with clean or shiny floors, fresh walls and modernized furniture. According to Executive Travel Magazine, offices should be modernized, sleek and up-to-date.

...

Paint the walls in colors that invoke the spirit of travel. Color the office in light blue, desert-inspired yellow or summery green. These are the colors of the outdoor world. According to HGTV, an accent wall is a great way to make a room look fresh and unique. A travel office may contain, for example, three white or light blue walls and a fourth wall painted in a wild, bright color. This gives the room a sense of creativity and highlight's the travel agency's adventurous nature–and travel is all about adventure.

...

Buy some travel art. It is essential to place photos and images on your walls. This will inspire the traveler to think about locations they may want to visit. For a modern look, buy three large frames and place photos of different countries within them. Stray from photos of airplanes or generic travel symbols and utilize rich, colorful images from around the world. Place these photos about a foot apart on a large wall to create a wall of images. Don't clutter all of the walls with posters, but hang enough so that the space is inviting and lively. These may be placed on your accent wall, if possible. Visit the websites Travel Art or All Posters for travel pictures (see References).

...

Purchase interesting pieces of art that can be sprinkled around the office. Look for an interesting globe or a colorful world map. Visit local cultural shops or fairs to find unique touches for your office. For example, you can sprinkle some Mexican pottery on the desks or add some small carvings of the Egyptian pyramids. These touches will bring your office to life and show your customer you truly care about travel.

The Moscow Metro Museum of Art: 10 Must-See Stations

There are few times one can claim having been on the subway all afternoon and loving it, but the Moscow Metro provides just that opportunity.  While many cities boast famous public transport systems—New York’s subway, London’s underground, San Salvador’s chicken buses—few warrant hours of exploration.  Moscow is different: Take one ride on the Metro, and you’ll find out that this network of railways can be so much more than point A to B drudgery.

The Metro began operating in 1935 with just thirteen stations, covering less than seven miles, but it has since grown into the world’s third busiest transit system ( Tokyo is first ), spanning about 200 miles and offering over 180 stops along the way.  The construction of the Metro began under Joseph Stalin’s command, and being one of the USSR’s most ambitious building projects, the iron-fisted leader instructed designers to create a place full of svet (radiance) and svetloe budushchee (a radiant future), a palace for the people and a tribute to the Mother nation.

Consequently, the Metro is among the most memorable attractions in Moscow.  The stations provide a unique collection of public art, comparable to anything the city’s galleries have to offer and providing a sense of the Soviet era, which is absent from the State National History Museum.  Even better, touring the Metro delivers palpable, experiential moments, which many of us don’t get standing in front of painting or a case of coins.

Though tours are available , discovering the Moscow Metro on your own provides a much more comprehensive, truer experience, something much less sterile than following a guide.  What better place is there to see the “real” Moscow than on mass transit: A few hours will expose you to characters and caricatures you’ll be hard-pressed to find dining near the Bolshoi Theater.  You become part of the attraction, hear it in the screech of the train, feel it as hurried commuters brush by: The Metro sucks you beneath the city and churns you into the mix.

With the recommendations of our born-and-bred Muscovite students, my wife Emma and I have just taken a self-guided tour of what some locals consider the top ten stations of the Moscow Metro. What most satisfied me about our Metro tour was the sense of adventure .  I loved following our route on the maps of the wagon walls as we circled the city, plotting out the course to the subsequent stops; having the weird sensation of being underground for nearly four hours; and discovering the next cavern of treasures, playing Indiana Jones for the afternoon, piecing together fragments of Russia’s mysterious history.  It’s the ultimate interactive museum.

Top Ten Stations (In order of appearance)

Kievskaya station.

wall travel agency office design

Kievskaya Station went public in March of 1937, the rails between it and Park Kultury Station being the first to cross the Moscow River.  Kievskaya is full of mosaics depicting aristocratic scenes of Russian life, with great cameo appearances by Lenin, Trotsky, and Stalin.  Each work has a Cyrillic title/explanation etched in the marble beneath it; however, if your Russian is rusty, you can just appreciate seeing familiar revolutionary dates like 1905 ( the Russian Revolution ) and 1917 ( the October Revolution ).

Mayakovskaya Station

Mayakovskaya Station ranks in my top three most notable Metro stations. Mayakovskaya just feels right, done Art Deco but no sense of gaudiness or pretention.  The arches are adorned with rounded chrome piping and create feeling of being in a jukebox, but the roof’s expansive mosaics of the sky are the real showstopper.  Subjects cleverly range from looking up at a high jumper, workers atop a building, spires of Orthodox cathedrals, to nimble aircraft humming by, a fleet of prop planes spelling out CCCP in the bluest of skies.

Novoslobodskaya Station

wall travel agency office design

Novoslobodskaya is the Metro’s unique stained glass station.  Each column has its own distinctive panels of colorful glass, most of them with a floral theme, some of them capturing the odd sailor, musician, artist, gardener, or stenographer in action.  The glass is framed in Art Deco metalwork, and there is the lovely aspect of discovering panels in the less frequented haunches of the hall (on the trackside, between the incoming staircases).  Novosblod is, I’ve been told, the favorite amongst out-of-town visitors.

Komsomolskaya Station

Komsomolskaya Station is one of palatial grandeur.  It seems both magnificent and obligatory, like the presidential palace of a colonial city.  The yellow ceiling has leafy, white concrete garland and a series of golden military mosaics accenting the tile mosaics of glorified Russian life.  Switching lines here, the hallway has an Alice-in-Wonderland feel, impossibly long with decorative tile walls, culminating in a very old station left in a remarkable state of disrepair, offering a really tangible glimpse behind the palace walls.

Dostoevskaya Station

wall travel agency office design

Dostoevskaya is a tribute to the late, great hero of Russian literature .  The station at first glance seems bare and unimpressive, a stark marble platform without a whiff of reassembled chips of tile.  However, two columns have eerie stone inlay collages of scenes from Dostoevsky’s work, including The Idiot , The Brothers Karamazov , and Crime and Punishment.   Then, standing at the center of the platform, the marble creates a kaleidoscope of reflections.  At the entrance, there is a large, inlay portrait of the author.

Chkalovskaya Station

Chkalovskaya does space Art Deco style (yet again).  Chrome borders all.  Passageways with curvy overhangs create the illusion of walking through the belly of a chic, new-age spacecraft.  There are two (kos)mosaics, one at each end, with planetary subjects.  Transferring here brings you above ground, where some rather elaborate metalwork is on display.  By name similarity only, I’d expected Komsolskaya Station to deliver some kosmonaut décor; instead, it was Chkalovskaya that took us up to the space station.

Elektrozavodskaya Station

wall travel agency office design

Elektrozavodskaya is full of marble reliefs of workers, men and women, laboring through the different stages of industry.  The superhuman figures are round with muscles, Hollywood fit, and seemingly undeterred by each Herculean task they respectively perform.  The station is chocked with brass, from hammer and sickle light fixtures to beautiful, angular framework up the innards of the columns.  The station’s art pieces are less clever or extravagant than others, but identifying the different stages of industry is entertaining.

Baumanskaya Statio

Baumanskaya Station is the only stop that wasn’t suggested by the students.  Pulling in, the network of statues was just too enticing: Out of half-circle depressions in the platform’s columns, the USSR’s proud and powerful labor force again flaunts its success.  Pilots, blacksmiths, politicians, and artists have all congregated, posing amongst more Art Deco framing.  At the far end, a massive Soviet flag dons the face of Lenin and banners for ’05, ’17, and ‘45.  Standing in front of the flag, you can play with the echoing roof.

Ploshchad Revolutsii Station

wall travel agency office design

Novokuznetskaya Station

Novokuznetskaya Station finishes off this tour, more or less, where it started: beautiful mosaics.  This station recalls the skyward-facing pieces from Mayakovskaya (Station #2), only with a little larger pictures in a more cramped, very trafficked area.  Due to a line of street lamps in the center of the platform, it has the atmosphere of a bustling market.  The more inventive sky scenes include a man on a ladder, women picking fruit, and a tank-dozer being craned in.  The station’s also has a handsome black-and-white stone mural.

Here is a map and a brief description of our route:

Start at (1)Kievskaya on the “ring line” (look for the squares at the bottom of the platform signs to help you navigate—the ring line is #5, brown line) and go north to Belorusskaya, make a quick switch to the Dark Green/#2 line, and go south one stop to (2)Mayakovskaya.  Backtrack to the ring line—Brown/#5—and continue north, getting off at (3)Novosblodskaya and (4)Komsolskaya.  At Komsolskaya Station, transfer to the Red/#1 line, go south for two stops to Chistye Prudy, and get on the Light Green/#10 line going north.  Take a look at (5)Dostoevskaya Station on the northern segment of Light Green/#10 line then change directions and head south to (6)Chkalovskaya, which offers a transfer to the Dark Blue/#3 line, going west, away from the city center.  Have a look (7)Elektroskaya Station before backtracking into the center of Moscow, stopping off at (8)Baumskaya, getting off the Dark Blue/#3 line at (9)Ploschad Revolyutsii.  Change to the Dark Green/#2 line and go south one stop to see (10)Novokuznetskaya Station.
