Very fun and transfers were easy enough The timing and venue of the headline acts was a bit disappointing Club nights fun but reps too harsh Apres events were some of the highlights, could go on for longer Accommodation in really good location (machu pichu) Overall very fun holiday

fun yet chaotic
Not very well organised but really good fun and the accommodation was much better than expected. The coaches were very disorganised which meant we spent about 5/6 hours each way waiting around for the coach to arrive or at the ferry terminal and communication around events in resort could have been slightly better. But the events were really fun once you were there and the accommodation was pretty nice. Would recommend to students/young people just looking for a good time and nothing too fancy

So much fun!
The trip was so much fun, the skiing, apres and events were great, and it was nice not to have to book accommodation or transport. The only downside was that we got to the resort late, so couldn’t get skiis or pass until the next morning, so got onto the slopes a little later than wanted. Also they ran out of disposable linen.
V good week and v well organised
Everything about the trip felt super easy and stress free, probably because I got all my friends to do the admin, but by the sounds of it they found it easy to get the links, find where to book items for the trip and secure the room. We lucked out with our room and it was really spacious with a nice balcony and good facilities. The location of Val Thorens was amazing for apres and live music and wasteland let us know what was happening and where all through the day. The weather caused an issue with the coaches on the way back which was slightly annoying but all for the mems and nothing you can do about weather. Very good week and very well organised, would definitely go again!
UBSC Ski Trip 2023
Trip was organised well, very friendly employees, lots of fun. Quite a lot of extra costs while booking, bus etc, so came out a lot more expensive than initial quote.

The live music was great and obviously skiing is one of the best things. Couple issues, my friend booked a 3 valleys ski pass and a coach there and didn’t receive either. Accommodations was horrible and also our key to our locker didn’t work and we asked you to resolve which you didn’t when you said you would

Reps were always nearby
Reps were always around if you needed help. I had a bad experience with a club bouncer and felt quite threatened but the wasteland rep nearby stood in and helped me out of the situation and made me feel a lot better about the situation.

Really enjoyed the trip
Although some things were not perfect, it was a very good value skiing holiday which i thoroughly enjoyed and know for sure that i will be doing again. really good skiing as well, some days with perfect snow and weather.
An amazing experience
All the trip reps were very approachable, and helpful with all questions. The only downside was the accommodation which was comfortable but had not been cleaned. However the events were so much fun!! There was always something on.
Amazing slopes
The trip was great as the skiing itself was amazing. I loved the slopes especially with the 3 valleys upgrade. Ski and equipment rental was super easy to get and return. Would recommend all students to go, made so many memories.
Was a great trip
Was a great trip, overall well organised. However, the day we arrived we never received texts on when and where to receive our keys so were waiting around for many hours before calling the company. I did phone Wasteland a few times and they were overall very useful.
Friendly reps
Constant updates from the reps made sure that all opportunities could fully be taken advantage of over the course of the trip. Be that through text reminders highlighting the best spots to party, accommodation check-ins, or consistent travel support, my experience was greatly improved by the friendly-faced Wasteland staff. My only criticism is that sometimes alerts would come out quite late so some plans would have to be spontaneous, it would be great to have alerts in the early morning so entire days could be planned in advance.
Val thorens UBSC 2023
The trip was good monetary value. However issues such as poor organisation giving out lift passes which led to 3 hour + queues made us miss skiing. also would have been nice to use the extra night of accom and lift pass that was paid for.
Completely worth the money
Completely worth the money! I loved it, accomodation was nice, the slopes were perfect, wasteland were very organised and always have updates so that we knew what to do. Apres was well planned and wasteland always took care of us

Pretty good
Easy to organise and great location. Ski trip was awesome. Only trouble we had was with our room, being moved to a different town at the last minute. this caused us a real headache and no explanations or apologies were made.

Wasteland were amazing
Was great had an amazing time. Organisation could have been better when it came to our lift passes (couldn’t collect them when we arrived, has to queue for hours the next morning which was a shame)
Great trip Overall
The events were so fun, all set up amazingly. Mungo Hi-fi specifically was great. The organisation of the trip was impeccable compared to last year. Easy check in and check out. The checks from the wasteland staff on how we were doing through the week were also very nice and comforting. The equipment also was easy to get and had no issues.
The staff members on the trip were awesome and very helpful. We got along with them and enjoyed their company. However, the booking process could've been improved with giving more info on booking help etc.

Excellent experience well worth it
Very well organised and impressed with all the acts and nightlife arranged. Staff very helpful, I lost my wallet and asked a member of the wasteland team what I could do to get it back and was very easily found. Only negative for the trip I found was that there was 7 of us in a room meant for 4. With 3 of us on the sofa beds the room was too cluttered with luggage as we had nowhere to put it.

The booking system was clear and easy to navigate. Emails were also clear and helpful and the events and additional options were very fun. The reps at the start of the trip did seem to not know very much and so weren't as helpful as expected. However, as the trip went on they were a helpful presence.

The customer service was great. The staff at Wasteland Travel were always friendly and helpful, both in person and over the phone. The accommodation was also great fun.
