Celebrity Reflection Itineraries

Celebrity reflection review, review of celebrity reflection.

The 2012-built Celebrity Reflection cruise ship is the 5th and last of the Solstice-class Celebrity Cruises boats, together with Equinox , Silhouette , Solstice , Eclipse . Celebrity Cruises Reflection ship is currently scheduled for "Celebrity Revolution" drydock refurbishment on February 2, 2023.

The vessel (IMO number 9506459) is currently Malta- flagged (MMSI 229074000) and registered in Valletta .

History - construction and ownership

Celebrity Cruises was founded in 1988 as the Greece-based Chandris Line (cruise shipping operations between 1974-1996). In 1997, Royal Caribbean International (RCI) merged with "Celebrity Cruises Ltd" to become "Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd" (RCCL). The "X" on ship funnels is the Greek letter chi (standing for "Chandris"). Common features of Celebrity Cruises ships include aft located glass-walled dining rooms, signature alternate dining venues, bars and lounges, spacious Atrium lobby areas, a large number of balcony staterooms, large sundecks with swimming pools, The Retreat (adults-only sundeck with full-size swimming pool, Jacuzzi, cabanas, poolside full bar service). Rooftop Terrace (top-deck outdoor lounge-restaurant-cinema), large Spa (with Thermal Suites), premium retail shops selling top-brand merchandise.

Celebrity Cruises Solstice-class ship model (Eclipse., Equinox, Silhouette, Solstice, Reflection)

The 3000-passenger ship Celebrity Reflection is a cruise ship with extraordinary size, innovative interior design and one more deck added. The newest ship in the Celebrity Cruises fleet, Celebrity Reflection is the 5th of the series and last in the highly well-received Solstice class. The capacity of passengers is over 3000, and they have the comfort of a variety of stateroom categories, plus suites. Reflection's godmothers are four female employees of Celebrity who have been affected by breast cancer. The ship sailed on her maiden voyage on October 12, 2012.

Decks and Cabins

Celebrity Reflection staterooms (1523 total, in 33 grades) include 108x Suites, 1183x Balconies, 70x Oceanviews, 154x Inside cabins. Most staterooms are sized 195 ft2 / 18 m2. Of all cabins, 85% have private step-out balconies. Wheelchair-accessible cabins (for disabled passengers/ADA-certified) are 30.

On Reflection were introduced the fleet's first "AquaClass Suites" (34 total, sized 300 ft2 / 28 m2, each with 80 ft / 7 m2 balcony), "Signature Suites" (sized 440 ft2 / 41 m2, floor-ceiling balcony doors, butler service) and "Reflection Suites" (fleet's first - sized 1635 ft2 / 152 m2, with 155 ft2 / 14 m2 terrace). There are also"Concierge Class" (277), "AquaSpa Class" (152), "Sky Suites" (48), "Celebrity Suites" (12), "Royal Suites" (9) and 1 "Penthouse Suite" (ship's largest accommodation, 1290 ft2 / 120 m2, with terrace sized 390 ft2 / 36 m2).

The boat has 15 decks , of which 14 are passenger-accessible and 9 with cabins.

Shipboard dining options - Food and Drinks

The main dining area on Celebrity Reflection, Opus, occupies space on the ship's third and fourth decks. Opus is quite elegant, decorated in browns and silvers, with white tablecloths and crystal. The vast space accommodates 40 more seats than on Celebrity Silhouette, but the tables are too close together, which makes conversation difficult. Passengers in AquaClass staterooms or suites eat at Blu, which offers lighter "spa-inspired" cuisine. They have the option to eat in Opus MDR if they prefer such an experience. Reflection offers a number of for-fee venues, including Qsine (for US$45 per person), Italian steakhouse Tuscan Grill (US$45), French-continental Murano (US$45), D.I.Y. steak experience Lawn Club Grill (US$40), creperie Bistro on 5 (US$10) and The Porch (US$5, panini restaurant open for breakfast and lunch). Qsine diners can order on iPads, then waiters bring the food in the order of choosing.

Celebrity Reflection Cruise Ship Profile

where is cruise ship celebrity reflection

Celebrity Cruises

The Celebrity Reflection is the newest cruise ship in the Solstice class and joined her four older sister ships ( Celebrity Solstice , Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Eclipse and Celebrity Silhouette ) in the fall of 2012.

Celebrity has kept many of the features found on the other Solstice class ships, but has added a few new ones that cruise travelers will enjoy.

Cabins and Suites

Many of the cabin and suite categories on the Celebrity Reflection will be familiar to those who have sailed on other Solstice-class ships. Carrying 3,030 passengers, this ship is slightly larger. Celebrity Cruises has added three categories of luxury suites:

  • Reflection Suite - There is only one of these suites on the Celebrity Reflection, and it's a great one. This two-bedroom suite is over 1,600 square feet and has a 194-square foot balcony. The suite comes equipped with a large dining area, contemporary living room, and a signature bathroom with a glass shower that extends over the edge of the ship.
  • Signature Suites - The ship has five Signature Suites, and they are located in the same private keycard access area as the Reflection Suite on deck 14. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the sitting area provide terrific views, and the 441-square-foot suite has a 118-square-foot veranda and can sleep four guests.
  • AquaClass Suites - These 32 suites were inspired by the popularity of the AquaClass cabins on the other ships. Measuring 300 square feet, the suites are larger than the AquaClass cabins, but still provide all suite amenities and complimentary access to the Blu Restaurant.

Celebrity has also added eight more Sky Suites to the Celebrity Reflection, bringing the total to 52.

Like the other ships in the Solstice class, the Celebrity Reflection has a diverse selection of other suites and luxury cabins such as the Penthouse Suite, Royal Suite, Celebrity Suite, Family Ocean View, AquaClass, Concierge Class, and Sunset Veranda.

Those who don't wish to stay in a suite or luxury cabin on the Celebrity Reflection can choose one of the 723 deluxe cabins with a veranda, one of the 70 ocean views without a veranda, or one of the 154 inside cabins, the least expensive category on the ship. One thing nice about the Celebrity Reflection--all the cabins and suites would be acceptable to most guests, even the smallest, lowest-priced ones.

The Celebrity Reflection has 30 cabins and suites that are wheelchair accessible. All of these are larger than the same accommodations in the standard category and have large, accessible bathrooms.

Dining and Cuisine

Those who have dined on the Celebrity Silhouette will find the dining options on the Celebrity Reflection to be almost identical. The cruise ship has a dozen dining venues, ranging from the elegant, romantic Murano with its memorable Continental cuisine to the ultra-casual outdoor Mast Grill.

Six of the restaurants have a fixed fee. Each of these is different, interesting, and worth the extra surcharge for a special dinner. Qsine is a fun tasting restaurant, perfect for a group of friends. The outdoor Lawn Club Grill is also a good choice for a group since one member of the party gets to play chef and cook the meal (don't worry, a professional is there to help). The Italian steakhouse Tuscan Grille and Murano are nice for a romantic dinner. The Tuscan Grille has marvelous views over the aft of the ship and Murano is elegant, quiet, and special.

The Porch and Bistro on Five have a small surcharge and are a tasty option for lunch or a casual meal. Cafe al Bacio & Gelateria has specialty coffees, teas, pastries, and gelato, all with a la carte pricing.

Not all the restaurants on the Celebrity Reflection have an extra fee. The four included-dining-venues are very good, and many passengers are perfectly happy eating in them, saving their extra dollars for drinks, souvenirs, or shore excursions. The main restaurant, the Opus Dining Room, is as striking as its counterparts on the other Solstice-class ships, with a spectacular chandelier and two-story wine tower dominating the room. The Oceanview Cafe buffet has a wide selection of International cuisines, with stations rather than long buffet lines. Although most of the restaurants have healthy choice options, the AquaSpa Cafe in the Solarium specializes in this type of cuisine, featuring light bites for breakfast and lunch. Finally, if guests begin to crave a burger, hot dog, or fries, the Mast Grill is the place to dine.

I love the look of the Blu Restaurant, which is only open to those staying in the AquaClass accommodations and to suite guests when space is available. This venue features "clean cuisine" and has an elegant ambiance.

Interior Common Areas

The interior of the Celebrity Reflection is classic and contemporary. The furnishings are rich yet comfortable. The Atrium, with its signature tree, is often the first interior common area an embarking passenger sees. This multi-deck atrium stretches from deck 3 to deck 15 and is surrounded by interesting venues, most with quiet seating such as the Library, the Hideaway, and the Celebrity iLounge. Other venues, like Game-On, a new twist on a card room, also are near the Atrium.

The Celebrity Reflection has many of the same lounges and bars as her sister ships. There are at least a dozen lounges, including the Sky Observation bar, with its great views by day and disco by night, the outdoor Sunset Bar on the aft of the ship, and Michael's Bar with its large selection of international beers. The Martini Bar, which has an icy top, and the Passport Bar in the Atrium are very popular before and after dinner. Since I love to try different wines, Cellar Master is one of my favorite watering holes.

Like most large cruise ships, the Celebrity Reflection has a wide variety of entertainment centers, including a casino, large show lounge, and several venues that feature either live music or disco. In addition, the shopping gallery includes such well-known retail shops as Bulgari and Michael Kors, along with a jewelry shop, women's shop, and men's store.

One new space on the Celebrity Reflection is the 2,853-square-foot Conference Center on deck 3, which can accommodate up to 220 guests. This multi-functional space can be used for a wide variety of events such as weddings, banquets, classes, cocktail parties, or business meetings. The space has moveable walls, so the venue can be divided into smaller rooms. It also features four 70-inch LCD televisions. The ship's culinary team can cater all sorts of different types of dinners or parties.

The AquaSpa by Elemis has some interesting new treatment rooms, and it also features a full menu of spa treatments. The Persian Garden has been expanded to 883-square-feet and now has a Hammam, Cold Room, sensory showers, and infrared sauna nearby.

Adults will love the adults-only Solarium, with its nice pool and relaxing lounge chairs.

Exteriors and Outdoor Deck Areas

The outdoor deck areas of the Celebrity Reflection are designed for fun, activity, and relaxation. A large pool and hundreds of deck chairs and sun beds dominate much of the outdoor space. However, like her sister ships in the Solstice class, the signature outdoor area is the Lawn Club. Yes, it's real grass, and I wish my yard at home looked half as good! Those looking for more action can try the basketball court.

The number of Alcoves, which are cabana-style retreats on The Lawn Club, has been increased on the Celebrity Reflection. These can accommodate either two or four guests, and a rental fee applies. The Alcoves are fun for relaxation, a la carte picnics and drinks, and even come equipped with WiFi.

Celebrity Reflection cruise ship

The Celebrity Reflection was built in 2012. It's considered a medium size ship. Coming in at 1,047 ft long and 123 ft wide, it's roughly the length of 2.9 football fields, as wide as 2.3 tractor trailers, and the same height as a 13-story building.

Celebrity Reflection Size and Passengers

The Reflection can hold 3,030 based on double occupancy (two people per room) and more when you take into account 3rd and 4th passengers. When you compare the total tonnage of the ship to the number of passengers, the Reflection has a space ratio of 42. Depending on the ship, this number can range from 30 to 52 (with a bigger number meaning more space per person) so this ship's space-to-person ratio is about average.

The Reflection is one of five Solstice-class ships currently sailing with Celebrity. The Reflection is very similar to its sister-ships; Solstice, Equinox, Eclipse and Silhouette, although each ship may have some differences.

Celebrity Reflection Food and Restaurants

Tuscan Grille on the Celebrity Reflection

Food is a big part of any cruise, and there will plenty on the Celebrity Reflection. You have 12 different dining options to choose from. Of those options, 4 are complementary, or included with your cruise fare. The other 8 options have an additional fee. Some of those options are a set price and some have a la cart menu pricing. Only 33% of the dining options are included meaning you might spend more while on the ship due to the additional fees.

In terms of drinks and cocktails, you have a variety of choices. Celebrity serves the Coca-cola family of products. That means Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite and Barqs Root Beer, although the selection can vary by ship.

There are also plenty of bars available on this ship. Alcohol is not included in the base price of this cruise ship. To see if you would save money with a drink package, try our Drink Package Calculator.

Pools and Hot Tubs on Celebrity Reflection

The main pool on the Celebrity Reflection

Nothing beats relaxing by a pool with a nice drink in hand as you feel the fresh sea breeze pass by you. The problem is that with thousands of people on a ship, there's not always room. If you want to spend all day in a pool, a cruise might not be the right choice. You would have a much better bet choosing a resort with a huge pool complex. That being said, a quick dip in the pool can be nice on a hot day.

The Celebrity Reflection has a total of 3 pools and 6 hot tubs.

Tired of loud kids and splashing? 1 of the pools and 2 of the hot tubs are adults only.

Celebrity Reflection Features and Activities

There are quite a few things to do on the Reflection. These are the main amenities that are available. Some are included in the cost of the cruise, while others have an additional charge.

Celebrity is a premium cruise line. Premium cruise lines typically offer upscale food, accommodations, and service. These typically cost about $150 - $400 per person per day.

Cruise pricing is dynamic and varies for each specific sailing based on factors such as departure point, ports of call, and time of year.

Celebrity Reflection Onboard Costs

Another way to gauge the cost of a cruise is to consider how much you'll spend on board. Even though a lot is included in the base cruise fare, you may still spend money on things like spa treatments, specialty dining, drinks, and excursions. In addition, guests can also have to pay for things like gratuities and tips.

Typically guests can expect to spend about 25 - 40% of the cost of the cruise on onboard expenses. In other words, if the cruise fare is $1,000 per person, you might spend between $250 and $400 on extra expenses.

The table below will help you understand what you might spend onboard a Celebrity ship.

Celebrity Cruise Lines offers an "All Included" program. Guests who book a cruise using this promotion will have gratuities and alcohol included. Some sailings are available without this program so pay attention when booking. Typically prices are lower if they don't include "Always Included." The wifi and alcohol package are the base levels and can be upgraded for an additional cost.

Celebrity Cruises Unveils Details for 2025-2026 Season

Celebrity Cruises announced more details about the 2025-2026 cruise season, which includes more short Caribbean sailings.

Highlights of the 2025-2026 season aboard Celebrity Reflection and Celebrity Summit include calls to Bimini, Cozumel, Key West, Nassau, and the award-winning private destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Celebrity is also offering three- and four-night Caribbean journeys for the first time this summer, and the addition of 2025 and 2026 calls builds on the enthusiasm from passengers seeking midweek and weekend escapes.

“More than ever before, our guests are seeking opportunities to escape the everyday to bond with friends and family,” Celebrity President Laura Hodges Bethge said.

“We love that we can offer vacation options designed to provide guests an elevated experience that’s close to home while still exceeding their expectations of what a vacation can be,” Hodges Bethge continued.

Celebrity Reflection will offer guests year-round options, departing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale on over 100 sailings of three- or four-night trips. The ship will also continue calls at Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Celebrity Summit will offer four- and five-night voyages from Port Everglades. The ship features a new look and feel, including refreshed interiors, staterooms, and access to The Retreat, which includes exclusive spaces—such as Luminae and The Retreat Lounge—and a variety of amenities.

The 2025-2026 Caribbean season will also see longer immersive vacations offered, including seven-to-10-night sailings aboard Celebrity Beyond . For more information and to book a sailing with Celebrity, visit the cruise line’s official website or contact a trusted travel advisor.
