Our Journey through the Haunted Ghost Tour

St audoen's church.

The first stop of our Gravedigger horror tour will be St Audoen’s Church, your legs will still be trembling from the first story told along the way by our ghostly guides. This stop will take you back in time when that area was known as “hell”

Kilmainham Gaol & Bully's Acre

We’ll then hop back on the bus to reach our second stop, where a bathroom break will be provided for those who are scared out of their wits. This stop will be at Kilmainham Gaol, where we will meet the prisoners, whose sentences had no end. The sombre atmosphere and echoes of its tumultuous history can still be felt within its walls, making it a haunting reminder of Ireland’s past struggles for independence.

Beyond the Gates

Glasnevin cemetery.

Our last stop will bring us to the largest cemetery in Dublin, The Glasnevin Cemetery, where the silent whispers of the past will expose the bone-chilling rituals and sinister customs of older times.

Finish with a drink

Gravediggers pub.

You can also enjoy a cold pint in the Gravediggers Pub, this bar is known for having the best Guinness in Dublin, and we will offer a shot of our magical brew if you are brave enough to drink it.

Then, we will head back to the starting point not without hearing the latest story of our favorite ghostly guide.

Tour loved by all

grave digger tour dublin

The Ghostship tour was amazing it was so much fun and interactive, loved learning about the history around Dublin. Lydia is an incredible storyteller, she made the tour so enjoyable. A lot of laughs and jump scares throughout the tour. Loved how the bus was decorated, great way to start Halloween.

Lorraine B.

The tour was amazing! The performers are incredible and consistently engaging throughout the tour. Plus, the stories and information were interesting. You can also trust that the experience will be good. There were some issues with the bus because of how cold it was the day we went, and they improvised beautifully. I do not doubt that our tour was just as fun (and funny!) as any other. Be aware that there are flashing lights and strobe lights.

Funny tour with great performers. The bus had some trouble but the actors made it work, and the tour was great. You can tell they really care about the history, but the acting & scares were also great. It was a really fun night with lots of laughs, but we also learned something.

Fantastic tour that frightened the life out of us but in a fun way! A great family night out. The actors were fab.

This tour was amazing! So much fun, and interesting stories. Lydia was the soul who had the bad luck to be our guide and she did her job very well! The atmosphere on the bus was spooky and we learned all about the plague. If I’m ever in Ireland again, I would definitely book the famine tour. I was really looking forward to this, and was not disappointed. Congrats on such a fun idea for a tour!

My 14 year old daughter and I went on the Gravediggers Gost Bus tour and we had the best fun. All down to the amazing Lydia who played her part brilliantly. Had us laughing all the way with her great stories. Dont think anyone got off without a Dublin slagging. Well done Lydia

As the sun begins to set, we take you by Banshee bus to a magical location south west of Dublin city. A Banshee is bad news, very bad news indeed! Believe me I’ve chanced my arm with enough of them!

We begin our leisurely hike in the Dublin mountains to the peak of the legendary and mysterious Montpelier Hill . It has the most beautiful views overlooking Dublin city unique to this tour.

We are Ireland’s only tour company with a tour permit to the club.

The Hell Fire Club The main plot of this tour is dictated by the dark mysteries that begin to unfold, due to the nature of the past history of the area. As we negotiate the trails and terrain, we are surrounded by nature to set the tone.

When we reach the peak, we encounter the old Megalithic site, confirmed to be constructed by the great ancients of Ireland BC, where a tomb once existed. They laid at rest until disrupted by order of a few free masons radicals.

The site was looted and then destroyed in order to salvage its building materials to build a hunting Lodge in 1735. This lodge is now known in legend as the Hell Fire Club!

The Legend The idle hands of men brought horror to the site…

Your Horror Hike tour guide will reveal the mysteries and legends around the Hell Fire Club and Montpelier Hill.

Plenty of photo opportunities and some free time for yourself to explore the area and experience multiple view points.

a close up of a fire for horror hike dublin ghost bus tour

Things to Note For this tour, we recommend that you bring rain gear (Irish weather is unpredictable) and the appropriate footwear with ankle protection.

The hike is basic in difficulty, but requires some endurance for the upward hill trails, so keep this in mind.

Our mode of transport to Montpelier Hill is named ‘The Banshee’. She is of Mercedes-build and sports 20 comfy seats with large windows for the ultimate scenic drive.

The tour experience can be different depending on (seasonal) early or late sunsets, with or without rain mist, dark or bright, but the location never disappoints…

Visit our dedicated website at www.horrorhike.ie for more or click any of the images below.

We promise breathtaking scenery, a great sense of achievement and a true Irish bonding experience. You will leave with unforgettable memories of your visit to the Hellfire Club Dublin on this world famous tour.
