When I booked this tour, I was apprehensive because it only had 2 more or less bad reviews. But everything was so thoroughly organised and guides and porters had taken good care of us. They even carried an oxygen tank in case someone suffers from altitude sickness (fortunately, no one did). Personally, I would trim off the first day of walking and the last day and a half as those were a bit boring and entailed lots of road walking. From what I heard from before, accommodation improved greatly (expect no luxury of course, everything was basic, but clean). My only issue was with the food, it was written in the notes "vegetarians are well catered for" but didn't say anything for those that are not. So for LCHF people and such, beware, meat is forbidden for 4-5 days of the trek. The pace of walking was very slow (this can be good or bad, depending on personal preference).

I just did my very first trek with the ABC 6 days tour. The guide Ram and porter Addit are very supportive during the trek. They manage to arrange the transport and tea house along the way even I decide to adjust the route trek on the same day. Dil also give me a detailed briefing before the trek to help me further understand the whole itinerary. The sleeping bag provided are able to keep me warm at ABC’s tea house. Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Fly to Pokhara. After breakfast, your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby for your city sightseeing in Kathmandu. We will visit Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, In the afternoon, Flight to Pokhara is spectacular with Himalayan view all along its route.

How To Get Pokhara From Kathmandu?

Taking a private transportation, domestic flights, chartered helicopter to a tourist transportation and anything in between is entirely your choice.

Private cars have four seats and are around $145 USD, one-way. If you’d like to have a car with air conditioning, expect to pay a bit extra. Jeeps have 7-8 seats and are the largest and most comfortable private vehicle. Expect to pay around $250 USD, one-way.
