Typical Colors 2 (also known as TC2) is a Roblox game developed by ROLVe Community , who also made other games such as Arsenal and Counter Blox . The game is heavily inspired by Valve's Team Fortress 2 , in which it is an FPS game with many similarities such as team-colored map segments and cartoony designs. It features 9 classes and multiple game modes , with over a hundred unlockable weapons and cosmetics .

The game itself has been rehauled in the summer of 2017 for major removals and script changes and later updated in summer of 2018 for weapons, maps and game modes.

In late 2019, it has gone through a couple minor updates. In 2020 it has gotten a few large updates, including new maps, map revamps, new weapons, and weapon reskins. In February 2021, the game received a major update, known as the Executive Update, and since then, large updates are carried out to the game much more frequently.

On January 11, 2024, the game was transferred to a new group called "Downy Press" due to no longer being associated with ROLVe.

Gameplay [ ]

A group of RED players attacking GRN players from pushing the payload on the map " Upward ".

Similar to Team Fortress 2, the RED and GRN team have to compete for a combat-based objective. Players can select one of the nine classes with their own unique strengths, weakness, ability and weapon sets. The players have to fight each other and complete a specific gamemode in order to win a round.

Players will also earn EXPs and Funds after a round ends. Funds can be used to buy weapons, cosmetics and other items in the Fitten Co. Store.

The game also features many Achievements, Contracts , Item drops, Cosmetic crates, taunts, etc.

Gamemodes [ ]

Attack/defense (a/d) [ ].

In Attack/Defense, the GRN team's main goal is to capture two control points while the RED team must defend their control points from them before the time runs out. If the GRN team successfully capture the first control point, they get more additional time. If a member of the GRN team is on a control point after the time runs out, it will cause an overtime until it's captured or all capture progress has been lost.

In Arena, Both teams have to fight to death and try capturing a control point. Health packs are removed and they are replaced by Ammo boxes. If a player dies, they can't respawn until the round ends. A team can win if they kill every enemies before the time runs out or have more players in their team than the enemy's or capture the control point.

Capture the Flag (CTF) [ ]

In Capture the Flag, the two teams have to steal and capture the enemy team's flag. The first team to capture the flag three times wins. If anyone is caring the flag after the times runs out, there will be a 30-second overtime until the flag is captured or overtime ends. If both teams haven't manage to capture the enemy's flag, it will cause the game to end in a stalemate. If both teams have the same amount of captures at the end of the time without anyone caring a flag, it will cause a Sudden death similar to Arena.

Control Points (CP) [ ]

In Control Points, both teams starts with an equal number of two controlled points and a central point that haven't been captured by one of the teams. The two teams have to capture more control points before the round is over. The team that have captured all control points or have more than the other team wins.

King of the Hill (KoTH) [ ]

In King of the Hill, the two teams have to capture a control point that is in the center of any maps. Once the point is capture by one of them, their clock will start a three-minute countdown and they have to defend the point before the time runs out in order to win. If the opposing team capture the point back, their clock will start its countdown while the other team's timer stops. If one of the team's countdown reaches to zero and the opposing team manage to capture the point, the match will go into overtime until the team take back the control point or the opposing team capture the point which will cause the round to go on as normal.

Team Deathmatch (TDM) [ ]

In Team Deathmatch, players of the two teams have to fight each others for 5 minutes in a specific map. The goal is to reach the kill cap before the other team or have more kills than them by the end of the time limit. If both teams have the same ammount of kills by the end of the time limit, the game gets sent into a 30 second overtime until a player is killed. If both teams don't manage to kill a player after 30 seconds, the game ends into a Stalemate. Players are unable to respawn during an overtime until the end of the round.

Payload (PL) [ ]

In Payload, the GRN team have to push a bomb in a cart to a hole while the RED team have to stop them before the time runs out. One of the GRN members have to stand around the cart to push it. However, if the cart hasn't been pushed after 15 seconds, it will start going back to its last checkpoint. If a member of the RED team stand around the cart while a member of the GRN team is around it, it will stop. The payload cart can also heal each members of the GRN team at 10 health at second. The gamemode have multiple checkpoints, if the GRN team captures one, it will give them some additional time. If the time runs out while the cart is being pushed, it will cause an overtime until the GRN team captures a checkpoint or the RED team stops them.

Classes [ ]

Typical Colors 2 features 9 playable classes that are categorized into "Offense", "Defense" and "Support". Each of them have their own strengths, weakness and must work together in order to be efficient. Each classes have three weapon slots in their loadout, a primary weapon, secondary weapon and a melee weapon. Some classes also have an additional spot for their PDAs.

Offense [ ]

• Flanker : An arrogant New Yorker who doesn't get along with others. His special ability is being the fastest class in the game and the ability to double jump. His default loadout consists of the Lever Shotgun , Pistol and Bat .
• Trooper : A war-driven Central American who boasts power for speed. They are patriotic and hate failure. His default loadout consists of the Rocket Launcher , Shotgun and Crowbar , and he has the ability to Blast Jump with his Rocket Launcher.
• Annihilator : An honor bound Irish man with an appreciation for knight codes. His explosive weaponry is a force to be reckoned with. His default loadout consists of the Grenade Launcher , Stickybomb Launcher and a Broken Sword , and he also has the ability to Blast Jump with his Grenade Launcher or Stickybomb Launcher.

Defense [ ]

• Arsonist : No one knows who they are except that they burn and beat people to death, but their suit gives them afterburn immunity. Their default loadout consists of the Flamethrower , Shotgun and Fire Extinguisher .
• Brute : An American motorcyclist with a big brother attitude. He takes care of others and isn't afraid to do whatever it takes. Everything in his arsenal is powerful and he boasts the highest health in the game. His default loadout consists of the Minigun , Shotgun and Fists .
• Mechanic : A western American intellectual who has a plan for everything but easily gets angry. He is known for building Sentry Guns, Dispensers and Teleporters . His default loadout consists of the Shotgun , Pistol , and Wrench , along with his PDAs that let him Construct and Demolish buildings.

Support [ ]

• Doctor : A British intellectual who is shy and passive who doesn't want to hurt others unless necessary. He is able to heal others and give an 8-second invincibility SuperCharge. His default loadout consists of the Syringe Crossbow , Medigun and Saw .
• Marksman : A Southern American who enjoys nature, his calm, polite and quiet personality helps his stay hidden in the battlefield where he can deal headshots from a distance. His default loadout consists of the Sniper Rifle , Mac-10 and Machete .
• Agent : An Italian professional at being sneakier than most, being able to get behind enemy lines and instantly kill enemies with backstabs. Her default loadout consists of the Revolver , Sapper , Knife ,  Invis-Watch and Disguise Kit .

• The Mechanic appears in another ROLVe game titled Right 2 Fight .
• This was changed prior to the Summer 2023 update .
• The Doctor originally had the Syringe SMG as his default primary before getting replaced by the Syringe Crossbow .
• The Flanker and the Doctor were originally going to be planned as females back in 2017.
• There is a chance that the player can see an image of a Brute staring directly into the camera while loading the game (known as the Brute Jumpscare.)

Submissions

You are able to load in any map you want in game . As long as Roblox Community Standards are followed , you will not be banned for uploading a map.

With that being said, uploading maps with any form of inappropriate imagery, language, or innuendo, even if it is hidden , WILL RESULT IN A PERMANENT BAN .

Just be reasonable, and ask yourself: " would a moderator approve of your map if they were to inspect it?"

Stick to the prop pack if you wish to use text for gameplay on your map.

TC2 Workshop Map Submission Criteria

The current TC2 map pool contains many TF2 maps, and that is something we are looking to change .

We want future maps to be high quality , completely originial and consistent with other maps.

The only map that currently meets these standards is 3cp_yellowvalley , and even it has some flaws .

To increase your chances of your map of being added, study 3cp_yellowvalley very attentively . Look at the attention to detail at every part of the map, the frequency of props, how terrain is created, etc.

Maps should not look like they are part of 3cp_yellowvalley, but rather look like they are part of the same world!

High quality means that a map should have good craftsmanship to it and when you look a little bit closer, it makes you say "a lot of effort was put into this!"

Completely original means that every aspect of a map was entirely created and envisioned by the mapper. Instead of looking to how TF2 typically does things, think to yourself, "what would work here?"

Consistent means that a map meets the same level of detail and artstyle of other maps in the pool.

Although 3cp_yellowvalley is the only satisfactory map in the pool, and we want future TC2 maps to have the same artstyle as it does, not the TF2 maps .

More resources on map detailing and layouts are to come, but for the meantime:

Do not use any TF2 props . Use the prop pack that is provided and get creative !

Focus on using parts for detailing rather than props. Make your walls pretty to look at!

Master the art of triangle terrain , again: study 3cp_yellowvalley and look how little need for props there are for outdoor areas (other than trees)!

When designing similarly themed areas as 3cp_yellowvalley, copy the designs 1:1 in order to improve consistency !

The artstyle is set around the years 2000-2010. Maps should be set in nature reserves, mining sites, factories, or any other industrial setting where GRN is trying to protect the environment while RED is trying to exploit it.
