The story of Argo begins all the way back to 1977, when Thodoris Kousathanas created one of the first hotels in Platis Gialos. Thanasis Kousathanas, his son and current owner - as well as manager - of the hotel actually grew up inside the hotel, giving a new sense to the phrase “hospitality runs in his veins”. The hotel has gone through major renovations in order to provide maximum comfort and be up to date with travellers’ current needs, while preserving the traditional Cycladic features in its architecture.

You're going to love exploring the handful of villages or settlements on the northern side, such as the stunningly traditional village of Olymbos, the area of Avlona in a valley with 300 traditional farmhouses yet not many inhabitants, and the seaside port of Diafani with its seafood restaurants. Sehr gutes Frühstück und wunderschöner Ausblick von der Terrasse beim Frühstück. Der Garten wird gut gepflegt und der Baumbestand hat mich begeistert. Überdurchschnittlich für griechische Verhältnisse.

Sehr gutes Frühstück, leckere hausgemachte Gerichte mittags und abends, schöne Terrasse mit unverbautem Blick auf das Meer. Sehr aufmerksame und freundliche Mitarbeiter. Habe mich als Alleinreisende sehr wohlgefühlt.

Nettes kleines Hotel direkt am Strand. Die Zimmer sind sauber und für uns besonders wichtig: die Matratzen waren sehr gut. Die Zimmer haben einen Kühlschrank, eine Klimaanlage und wurden frisch renoviert. Vom Balkon des Zimmers hatten wir einen wunderbaren Blick zum Meer und den schön angelegten Garten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Auch das Abendessen ist zu empfehlen. Am letzten Tag konnten wir noch die Duschen im Hotel nutzen, da unser Flug erst am Abend ging.

Schöne, kleine Hotelanlage direkt am Meer gelegen. Die Zimmer sind hell und freundlich mit guter und leiser Klimaanlage, Ventilator und Kühlschrank. Wir hatten einen großen Balkon mit wunderbarer Aussicht auf die Kapelle und die Bucht. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich. Das Frühstück ist ausbaufähig, Obst gab es leider nur aus der Dose und Äpfel, das könnte besser sein. Ansonsten war alles da! Der Kaffee war sehr lecker, einer der besseren auf der Insel. Für uns mit das Beste: im Keller gibt es Duschen. Da unser Flug erst abends ging konnten wir den Tag noch entspannt am Strand verbringen, dann duschen und ab zum Flughafen! Das Wasser der Bucht ist wunderschön klar, der Strand etwas klein, die Liegen etwas knapp. Es gibt einige Buchten nebeneinander. Wir können das Hotel Argo weiterempfehlen!

If You dream about a perfect relaxing holiday next to the romantic bays of Amoopi, it is your place. Argo hotel, excellent situated ( less than 5 min walking distance to the beach) offers spectacular views to the sea and the beautiful sunrise. We had a very nice room with terrace, with everything needed and a comfy bed. It is clean( daily service) and silent. Beach towels are included, a big plus. The property has a good and cosy restaurant. What impressed us the most is the staff, very professional and customer friendly, always ready to help. Highly recommended !

Absolutely gorgeous location. Close to multiple beaches. Views are dreamy. The staff and hotel manager is very friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay for us and we were very grateful for the late checkout to help with our luggage and welcome drinks. Breakfast was tasty and the lunch menu portions sizes at the hotel are large. Thank you so much Argo Hotel.

Struttura meravigliosa, accogliente, luminosa, con una strepitosa vista sul mare. Camere pulitissime, dotate di ogni comfort e munite di uno spazioso terrazzino vista mare. Al nostro arrivo, siamo stati accolti dalla nostra Ospite (che si è sempre premurata di parlarci in italiano) e ci è stato offerto un rinfrescante cocktail di benvenuto accompagnato dolcetti tipici. Il ristorante dell’hotel è il migliore di Amoopi - consigliamo caldamente la mezza pensione, ne vale davvero la pena. Lo staff eccezionale, Ema e Thanos ci hanno coccolato con la loro dolcezza, la loro simpatia e le loro attenzioni. Da provare l’Old Fashioned, il migliore che abbiamo mai bevuto. Abbiamo già consigliato la struttura ad amici e parenti. Dovessimo riuscire a tornare a Karpathos, non mancheremo di soggiornare ancora qui ❤️
