Experiencing interference.

This usually means that another user is travelling to the island at the same time. Please wait a few minutes and then try to join again.

What does FULL mean?

When you see FULL on our website it means that the island is maxed out which means unless the owner of the island posts their dodo code again, you won't be able to visit that island. We do this because some users want to have only a couple of users on their island.

What games can I create when I have vistors?

Here are a few which we've come up with:

• Bug off - Requires a timer.
• Who can catch the biggest fish - Requires a timer
• Treasure Hunt
• Island Mazes
• Hide and Seek
• Net hitting tag
• Is this a pitfall seed or an item?

What should I do before opening my island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

If you have any items lying around on your island that you don't want visitors to take, make sure you pick them up and store them in your inventory. You could place a fence around these items.

The items which are affected are:

• Items that have been dropped and not placed. This includes fossils and DYI recipes.
• All type of fruits (Apple, Cherry, Coconuts, Orange, Peach, Pear), including the fruit still hanging on trees.
• Star Fragments

Make sure you shake your Hardwood or Cedar Tree so you can get the two daily items that are hidden on them - your visitors could get them before you!

What can visitors do on other Animal Crossing: New Horizons islands?

Animal Crossing New Horizons: Mega Dodo Code Thread – Drop Your Code and Find Visitors

A major aspect of Animal Crossing New Horizons is the ability to visit other players islands. This mechanic allows you to get different fruit, flowers, and even clothing you may not have access to on your island. To visit other players islands you will want to utilize the Island Airport. Here you can fly to various places including friend’s islands. If you wish to open up your island to all players you’ve come to the right place. Use the comment section below to dump your Dodo Code for other players to visit your island.

Important : Be careful when inviting others to your island. Although griefing is largely curbed through the Best Friend system you may still get mean people visiting.

How to Find and Share Your Dodo Code

To get at your Dodo Code you will want to head to your Island’s Airport. Here you will need to speak with Orville to access the game’s online functionality. When you speak to Orville tell him “I want visitors.” Next select “Via online play”. Once you do this you will connect to the internet. Next select “Invite via Dodo Code.” to receive a five character code other players can enter to visit your island. If you wish to open up the invite you can select “The more the merrier” option which makes your island accessible to anyone you share the code with.

Once you’ve setup everything make note of the Dodo Code you receive. Note this Dodo Code is for the current playthrough and will become inactive should you log off or turn off your console.

If you are interested in finding people to come and visit your island share your Dodo Code in the comments below. To improve the chances of getting visitors highlight anything special you feel your island has to offer visitors (like all fruit, special clothing, good Turnip prices, etc.).

Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Share Dodo codes & add friends!

Dodo Codes are a type of code that players can generate in order to have friends and acquaintances visit their island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and vice versa. These aren't specifically meant for players who are inviting another player who isn't on their friends' list. However, they work well in both scenarios. This could be for trades or something similar, but there are also systems in place to invite the player's friends to the island.

How to Generate Dodo Codes

Players can generate a Dodo Code for their island by heading down to the Dodo airport on the coast. While here, speak to Orville and make the following selections.

• Select, "I want visitors."
• Hit Next on the About Local and Online Play .
• Then select "I understand."
• Select "via online play."
• Hit Next on the Be considerate!
• Hit "I understand" once more at the end of the Nintendo Code of Conduct.
• Select "Roger."

This will cause the Nintendo Switch to generate the one-time Dodo Code for players who have Nintendo Online. Otherwise, players will only be able to invite friends and acquaintances on the same wifi through the local play option.

How to invite friends to the island

Luckily, there is a fairly easy way for players to share their island with their friends on a Nintendo Switch.

• After generating a code, players will need to open the Nintendo Switch's home page .
• Select the icon in the upper-left corner that correlates with the user.
• Click Add Friend
• The code generated will appear under the user's name. From here, simply share the code with a friend or acquaintance in the preferred method, such as Pocket Gamer.
• Alternatively, players can select Search with Friend Code if they are looking to visit their friend's island.

Remember that Dodo Codes are temporary and will no longer work after the player shuts their gates to end the visit. This will protect players who don't wish to have a problematic player visit again or spam them with continuous invites. Just make sure to collect everything before closing the gates.

If you're currently playing Animal Crossing , you may be wondering how to get to a Treasure Island and what codes you need to enter to get there from the airport. If so, we have a list of codes below that you can use to collect plenty of goodies and help you get the next upgrade you're working towards in the game .

Animal Crossing Treasure Island codes  

Here are some of the codes we have found that are currently active in Animal Crossing New Horizons, so you can visit as many Treasure Islands as you can.

Each island will have an assortment of goodies for you to collect, but these are quite wide-ranging so you will have to explore to see if there is anything that takes your fancy. 

A lot of these codes are sourced from Twitch so make sure to check out this category for lots of people with active codes.

How to redeem Animal Crossing Treasure Island codes

Having a bunch of Treasure Island codes is useless if you don't know how to get there! Thankfully, using these codes is easy if you follow these steps: 

• Once you're in Animal Crossing you will need to head to Dodo Airlines airport (unlocked after two days on the island)
• Chat to Orville
• Using the Dodo code option select search
• Enter the code you want to use
• Travel to the island
• Now grab everything you need

The Dodo Code is a system introduced in New Horizons . A Dodo Code is used to invite other players to one's island . A Dodo Code is obtainable by speaking with Orville inside of Dodo Airlines and asking him for visitors, and telling him to allow friends or any player to come to your island . The code will be a randomized 5 character code, consisting of letters and numbers. Players can share the Dodo Code with whomever they please, and anyone can use the code by speaking with Orville and asking to visit someone.

Obtaining a Dodo Code [ ]

On the day after one's arrival on their island , Dodo Airlines will be available for use by the player . The player's unique code can be obtained by speaking to Orville, and going through the following dialogue boxes:

• I want visitors
• Via Online Play
• Via Dodo Code
• Select who the gate should be open to

After you select the appropriate dialog boxes, Orville will give the player their Dodo Code, which can then be shared with other players. If the player loses their Dodo Code, they may speak to Orville and he will provide the player with their Dodo Code again.

• The permitted characters in a Dodo Code are all numbers and all uppercase letters, excluding I O Z .

The site originally served to facilitate the sharing of Dodo Codes , for players wanting to travel to other islands for trades or catching critters. The site has since expanded beyond the sharing of Dodo Codes, as DodoCodes now serves as a source for news and information about Animal Crossing: New Horizons , an sharing site for custom designs and dream addresses, and a marketplace for the auction and giveaway of items and villagers, using the ACNH Spreadsheet for database purposes. DodoCodes also expanded into social media, using to showcase community builds and dream islands.

DodoCodes serves as a major contributor to the ACNH Spreadsheet, providing information regarding certain items after an update is released. The site also hosts all images used on the ACNH Spreadsheet.
