The Dew Tour Nightlife Guide

After a decade in Breckenridge, the Dew Tour has moved down the street to Copper Mountain. Copper will be the spot to watch competitions during the day, but Breckenridge is still the place to stay if you’re looking for nightlife. In Breckenridge, we’re not shy about our fantastic nightlife , and we’ve long been recognized as one of the best mountain towns to experience the après ski scene !

As the sun slips behind the mountains and colorful lights begin to dazzle Main Street, town ramps-up to throw some pretty awesome parties. You can expect restaurants, bars, and music venues to be alive and rockin’ during Dew Tour and throughout the winter season. To help you find the best spots to get your groove on after a day spent on the hill, check out our Dew Tour nightlife guide, broken into two categories: where to go for Après Ski/Happy Hour, and where to go after 8 pm.

Dew Tour Nightlife – Après Ski / Happy Hour:

Dew Tour Nightlife includes multiple bars with draft beers on tap.

Grab a refreshing beer after hitting the slopes.

Quandary Tequila Bistro

Located at the base of Peak 9 in Main Street Station and boasting beautiful views of Breckenridge Ski Resort, Quandary is the perfect spot for happy hour. The restaurant is known for discounted apps, low priced drinks. large dining space and a relaxed atmosphere. This one’s great if you’re staying in the Village or Peak 9 area.

Blue River Bistro

For those of you interested in a slightly more cosmopolitan experience, the Blue River Bistro has some of the best martinis in town! They run two happy hours daily- traditional apres from 3-6 and  late-night from 9-midnight. Enjoy two-for-one martinis, two-for-one apps and great deals on drafts. The Bistro also regularly hosts local musicians during happy hour ranging from Delta Blues to Jazz musicians.

When debating which place you should go to for the best burger in Breckenridge, Flipside definitely needs to be on the top-contenders list. Their diverse menu of mouth-watering burgers combined with an extensive craft beer list is hard to pass up. Happy hour features a long list of sliders, tacos, vegetarian apps, and drink specials.

Rocky Mountain Underground

RMU bar

Grab some post-ski drinks at Rocky Mountain Underground, the only tavern and ski-shop in Breck.

It’s Breckenridge’s only establishment that duels as both a ski manufacturer (that makes award-winning skis) and a tavern. RMU is located right in the heart of Main Street between Ski Hill Road and Washington Avenue, making it the perfect hangout spot for anyone who is interested in talking with other passionate skiers and enjoying a craft beer after a long day on the slopes.

Breckenridge Brewery

The third oldest craft brewery in Colorado, Breckenridge Brewery has been in operation since 1990. This original Breckenridge Brewpub on Main Street offers dining, brewery tours, and of course, a wide selection of beer brewed in-house. Happy hour highlights fine Colorado ales and is packed with traditional appetizers.

The Boot Saloon

Grand Timber Lodge’s new hangout delivers ski lodge vibes with mountain memorabilia and classic American pub food. Honoring the hard-working adventurer, The Boot is gaining a fan following for its delicious takes on comfort food—think pretzel knots with house-made queso, saucy wings, creative pizzas and high-piled tater tots with pulled pork. The modern restaurant and bar is situated in the Grand Timber Lodge just a short walk from the peak 9 lifts. Watch old ski films inside or sip Colorado craft brews outside by the fire pits.

Little Bar & Grilled

Small but mighty, this gourmet grilled cheese and burger shop pulls out all the late-night noshing stops. One of Breckenridge’s newest restaurants , it’s located just off Main Street on Adams Avenue (where Le Petit Paris operated for years) and serves a full indulgent menu until 12:30am. Settle in for crab cakes, craft cocktails and a Cuban-inspired sandwich, or go all out with the buttermilk fried chicken and cream cheese-stuffed French toast with buffalo and berry puree.

Dew Tour Nightlife – Late Night:

Couple dancing late-night bar in Breckenridge

Get your groove on at the late-night bars in Breck.

Blue Stag Saloon

The Blue Stag Saloon has an unmatched mountain town ambiance that makes it a favorite for both locals and visitors alike. Maybe it’s the rustic barn wood interior or the indoor and outdoor fireplaces or perhaps the combination of great food and drinks. Whatever the reason, this Main Street location is always going off!

Motherloaded Tavern

From the moment you step foot into Motherloaded , you feel like a local. The warm ambiance and friendly servers highlight this lively bar which plays host to a variety of live music throughout the week. And with two bars in-house, you’re bound to always find a seat to check it all out from. When they aren’t hosting live music, Motherloaded is known for Open Mic on Mondays, Trivia on Tuesdays and more!

Gold Pan Saloon

This bar is as historic and legendary as they come. Constructed in 1879, the Gold Pan Saloon holds the longest operating liquor license west of the Mississippi River. Though it originally catered to miners with gold fever, the bar is now a main hub of the Breckenridge nightlife, serving up drinks and dancing with live music and DJs with a happening atmosphere.

Brooklyn’s Tavern and Billiards

If you and your friends are looking for a casual spot to hang out where you can drink some beer and play a few games of pool, then  Brooklyn’s is your place! With 5 pool tables, Brooklyn’s proclaims itself as the only true billiards hall in Summit County. Additionally, their drink deals are some of the most reasonable you’ll find in Breckenridge.

The Historic Brown Hotel

The building has been standing since the 1860’s, but it was only this past year that The Historic Brown transformed itself into one of the coolest and most intimate music venues in all of Summit County. With games galore (pool, air hockey, darts, ping pong, Pac-man, pinball, foosball, etc…) and live music seemingly every night, this place is never short on having a good time.

Cecilia’s Nightclub

If you’re looking for the ultimate Dew Tour nightlife spot and fire DJs, this is the spot for you! Cecilia’s Martini Bar and Nightclub features 3 bar areas, Breckenridge’s largest dance floor and their infamous dance pole. They also offer bottle service at all of their tall tables and booths.

Napper Tandy’s

Located above the Salt Creek Saloon , Napper Tandy’s Irish Pub is a go-to hotspot for dancing and live music for locals and visitors alike. During the day hours, come for pool, pub grub and to watch the game. Come nightfall, get ready for a dance party like none other.

When New Zealander Jossi Wells clicked into his bindings at the top of the superpipe finals at the Breckenridge Dew Tour on Saturday night, he had a lot on his mind. But he put all that aside, focused and visualized his run, and clicked into his Atomic skis (which were freshly tuned, waxed, scraped, and brushed that morning and then hand-delivered to the top of the course for him). And then he boosted out the pipe, throwing down with a 720 tail grab that helped bring him a score of 91.50—the best score after the first run. His dad, a Kiwi ski patroller from Wanaka who rolls his own cigarettes at the top of the course, and his younger brother Byron, who competed in the pipe preliminaries but didn’t make the final round, both shouted with joy. On the second run, however, the competition got stiff. Canadian Mike Riddle, who won the pipe preliminary round the day before, threw a huge double flip and an alley-oop bow and arrow and scored a 93.00, the winning score of the night. “It feels amazing to win. I couldn’t be happier,” Riddle said later. “I put down the run I wanted to, and I’m just happy I came out on top.” (click to the next slide)

On Sunday, the competition got fierce again during the slopestyle finals. Andreas Hatveit, a 23-year-old from Norway, earned a first-place score of 93.00 with a run that included a double cork 1080 and a switch right 1080. Tom Wallisch of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, landed second-place during his second run, with a pretzel on the rail, a rodeo 900, and a misty 5 off the rail to earn a score of 92.38. Following in third was Sammy Carlson of Tigard, Oregon, with a score of 91.13 for his 270 onto the rail and a switch misty 900 poke. “Getting here [to the Winter Dew Tour] and watching the level of riding, I was just aiming to get third,” said Hatveit. “But I finally got my run together, and it was definitely the best run I’ve ever had in my life so I couldn’t be happier.” (click to the next slide)
