Tours to scotland.
From the great cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow to the stunning surroundings of unspoilt Highland villages, Scotland is a diverse country with its rich history, breath-taking landscapes and spectacular wildlife. Wherever you find yourself in Scotland, there is sure to be a castle nearby and all are worth a visit, especially Edinburgh Castle which houses the Crown Jewels, the Stone of Destiny and Mons Meg. A visit to Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands is a must for those that believe (or even if you don’t), the legend of the Loch Ness Monster – the long, thin creature that circles the loch’s deep waters and occasionally raises its head above water to frighten the life out of anyone watching.

Highlights of Scotland
This was my second G Adventures tour and it proved to be as enjoyable as the first one, which was the main reason my wife and I booked it. The small size of the tour group and the variety of people made it all the better. The tour offered a good balance between structured visits of major attractions and free time to explore on our own. I would not hesitate to recommend a G Adventures tour to anyone seeking a guided travel experience in the company of other like-minded travelers.

It was a good trip seeing a lot of Scotland and the tour guide was very good. However a few things to improve are: There were too many people in the group so didn't really interact with the rest of them and the language difference didn't help either as I didn't realise that most of them spoke Spanish so the guide had to say everything in 2 languages. There was confusion on the trip as in the main Itinerary, it only mentioned breakfast included but when you looked into individual days it said dinner included, so didn't match. I feel that at least 1 dinner would have been nice to help with interacting with the group. I was a bit disappointed that the distillery changed days instead of the 1st day as I would have liked a bit more time to see Edinburgh especially as it was nice that day. Also the day in Edinburgh shouldn't be on a Saturday as it was too busy. A few places I felt rushed like Fort William as we only had time to get out, see it a bit, have a hot drink and toilet and then go but to be honest there wasn't much there so could have gone anywhere really. It was nice to see the castles except it would have good if Edinburgh castle had been included, but also maybe see something else for a variety like a mine or cave, or we did pass a cable car and that would have been nice. But overall it was a nice trip seeing places around Scotland in the time.

Walking Scotland’s Orkney Islands
I had been looking forward to Orkney for years. It was wonderful, and I am able to say that because of the Explore! tour that we found through Tourradar. First, the leader of the tour (Marco) was friendly, courteous, personable and highly professional. His assistant leader (Richie) was the same. We did a great variety of walks and visited several of the islands. We saw all of the ancient Neolithic sites (incredible). We ate at really good restaurants. All of this happened without any problem or worry because Marco put it together for us. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. We took walks of multiple miles and enjoyed the cliffs and seascape, the flowers, the birds, the vast rolling country. The company (a group of 13) was compatible and fun. The rides, in Explore! vans, we’re full of laughter and conversation. We will definitely look to this group for future plans. Thanks!!

Loch Ness, the Jacobite and Skye Guided Rail Tour
Fabulous tour guide and drivers, beautiful scenery and very nice hotels. Train was fun but there was a strike on the train so we had to go by coach a little more than we would have liked. Also would have liked to go to more castles but r do other activities other than just driving and looking at scenery. Easily could have done the other distillery as well as go inside more castles. It was nice to have time on our own as well as very few early mornings.

Isle of Skye & Outer Hebrides
A very good programme with plenty of stops to see all the sights. I enjoyed it for being able to get out of the bus and do lots of walking at the places we visited. The international mix of people made for good conversations and I learnt a lot from them, especially with the good English that they had.

Edinburgh and the Scottish Highlands by Train
What people love about 7 day scotland tours.
My husband and I had the most amazing time on this trip through Scotland! Couldn’t have asked for a better tour director than Mike and bus driver Mark.
It was nice to see the castles except it would have good if Edinburgh castle had been included, but also maybe see something else for a variety like a mine or cave, or we did pass a cable car and that would have been nice. But overall it was a nice trip seeing places around Scotland in the time.
