A perfect day trip from the busy streets of Phuket, visiting Coral Island Thailand should be on your Thailand itinerary, for sure! Escape the crowds and hit the beach on this fun island.

These beaches are stunning, the ocean is warm and the island is an easy spot to relax on the beach for a day. A restaurant and bar, lounge spaces and perfect spots to grab your social media photos and videos, there’s so much to see and do at Coral Island in Thailand!

This Coral Island from Phuket day trip reminds me a lot of the Similan Islands Thailand , which is an amazing day trip from Khao Lak, Phang Nga , just an hour and a half north of Phuket. So many beautiful options in this country!

Coral Island Phuket

Thailand’s Coral Island is a must-see , but the reasons why have changed over the years. Decades ago the island was aptly named Coral Island because of the lush coral reefs, perfect for snorkeling.

Unfortunately those were damaged with natural causes like typhoons, and unnatural causes like bleaching from toxic chemicals in traditional sunscreen. Always be sure to wear reef-safe mineral sunscreen in the ocean!

These days Coral Island is a great getaway from Phuket to enjoy the white sandy beaches and various water activities. The island is definitely groomed for tourism, too. There are many places to pose for the perfect social-media worthy photo or video.

Where is Coral Island Thailand

Coral Island, also known as Koh Hey, or Hey Island, is located near Phuket in the Andaman Sea. Fun fact: Thailand has over 1000 islands, and Phuket is the largest. But when you’re there it just feels like part of the mainland Thailand.

Coral Island from Phuket

The most common way to see Coral Island is via tour. Depending on how much money you want to spend, you can rent a private catamaran for your group, or take a larger group tour via speedboat which is more economical.

This is one of the most popular day trips from Phuket, so the tours do sell out in advance, especially during busy season. Be sure to book a tour in advance to see Coral Island from Phuket.

Most tours will do a hotel pick up and head to the departure point, Chalong Pier.

You’ll board your boat and head out to Coral Island from Phuket. This only takes about 15 – 20 minutes via speedboat, depending on sea conditions.

Some Coral Island tours also include stopping at Racha Island, a nearby snorkeling destination. If yours includes Racha Island, the boat will likely just anchor down for snorkeling and you won’t actually go ashore.

Many Coral Island tours are full day trips, others are just 1/2 day. I’d always recommend more time at a beach than less, so a full day is the best tour, in my opinion. 🙂

Best time to go to Coral Island Phuket

November through April is the best time to visit Coral Island in Thailand. Summer is the monsoon season, so it’s typically very rainy and the seas are rough.

Over the winter months, December through March, you’ll enjoy the sunniest skies where the azure water really shines!

To avoid the crowds,  try visiting Coral Island Thailand during late October/early November and late April/early May . This is the shoulder season, and typically gets less tourism, meaning the beaches are more empty.

Just note Phuket is a very popular tourism destination in Thailand, and this is a common tour so you’ll be sharing the beaches with others, no matter when you go.

What to pack for your day trip

Obviously you’ll be wearing beach attire for this day trip. But this Coral Island review lists a few extra things you maybe haven’t thought of!

• Reef-safe sunscreen. Wearing mineral sunscreen instead of traditional sunscreen protects marine life and keeps our oceans and reefs healthy. This is my favorite mineral sunscreen I used in Thailand and it works great.
• Rash guard. Take it a step further and protect yourself from the sun with clothing. This eliminates the need for as much sunscreen. There’s lots of cute one-piece rash guard swimming suits , too.
• Dry bag. Keep your valuables, money and anything else you want to stay dry in a dry bag ! Being on a boat and on the beach the whole day, you’ll want to keep certain belongings free of sand and water.
• Beach towel. I love this quick-drying towel with a hidden zipper pocket for storing valuables. I’ve taken it all over the world and used it in Placencia Belize , Big Sur California and many more places. Bonus – it doubles as a blanket on the flight to Thailand!
• GoPro. This waterproof camera is perfect for beachy pics and underwater activities like snorkeling. I used my GoPro in Thailand and it worked great. Don’t forget the float strap !
• Cash. You’ll want cash to pay for food, drink, admittance fees or activities that aren’t covered by your tour.

Alright enough chatting already! Let’s get to the details about what to actually do and see on Coral Island Thailand!

Coral Island Phuket, is a beautiful island perfect for sitting on the beach and enjoying the water. Equipped with multiple beaches, a restaurant, bar and restrooms, can you think of a better way to spend the day?

This beautiful island welcomes visitors daily – sometimes hundreds of them, so if you can, opt for a full day trip. This will give you ample time to lounge on the beach and enjoy the various water activities offered on the island.

Kahung Beach

Kahung Beach is the island’s main beach with the most amenities.

You’ll arrive and disembark on a floating pier to the sand on Kahung Beach. This is potentially the trickiest part of the whole day, as the pier definitely rocks and sways with the waves and other passengers walking on the plastic pier.

Note: there may be a small entrance fee at The Coral Beach Club, if your tour doesn’t cover it. Bring your cash with you in case.

Kahung Beach on Coral Island has incredibly soft, white sand that’s so popular for vacations in Thailand. Grab a lounge chair and enjoy the views!

Part of the beach is reserved for swimming, snorkeling and water activities. The end of the beach area is for boat parking.

On-site food and drink options are pretty simple, with traditional Thai food but it’s been seasoned for international travelers, for sure. Hey Island Restaurant has a basic menu to choose from.

Near the beach are 2 bars where you can order cocktails and fruit smoothies.

Along the beach are multiple spots to get the perfect Instagram or TikTok shot. Lots of swings and seats made that look like the famous birds nest in Bali.

Banana Beach Phuket

Another cove on Coral Island is the popular Banana Beach Thailand. Some tours will take you to Kahung Beach, others to Banana Beach. If you hire a private tour, you could visit both.

Note: there may be a small fee to use the services at Banana Beach Coral Island to use the deckchairs and restrooms. Be sure to bring some cash.

Similar to Kahung Beach, there’s a restaurant and bar, plenty of places to lounge and enjoy the day.

Banana Beach Phuket is a smaller beach compared to Kahung Beach, and based on weekend entertainment, it’s more of a party beach.

You can definitely book tours to both locations, it just depends what you’re looking for! Both have white sand and plenty of activities to keep you busy for the day.

Speaking of activities, the vendors that operate on Coral Island in Thailand really cater to tourism. Here are a list of some of the things you’ll find to do.

Food and drink

The food and drink options on Coral Island Thailand are really great – for a tiny island in the Andaman Sea!

If you have food allergies or need to avoid food groups (gluten, dairy, etc.) then either take food with you in a collapsible cooler or coordinate with your tour company ahead of time.

Some of the food choices you may have include Thai foods like Tom Kia Seafood (seafood coconut soup), Chicken Satay, Vegetable Spring Rolls or Stir Fried Chicken with Cashews. Not bad, right?!

The drink and smoothie bar will likely have what you need as well. Water, cocktails, fruit smoothies – just the essentials for spending a day on a tropical island. 😉

Tips for this gorgeous island

Before wrapping up this Coral Island review, let’s go over a few more tips for your time here.

• Take motion sickness medication. If you get queasy on a rocking boat, grab your motion sickness remedy for the ride!
• Bring a cash tip for your tour crew. A 10% tip is customary in Thailand for these types of services.
• Follow the Leave No Trace principles. Let nature be! Don’t collect sand or rocks, don’t touch or stand on coral and definitely don’t litter.
• Bring your island essentials. Mineral sunscreen , beach towel , dry bag , underwater camera , etc.

The fastest and most popular way to reach Coral Island is by taking a speedboat tour. Here is an overview of what to expect when visiting Coral Island on a Phuket day trip:

The Speedboat Experience.

Most tours depart daily from piers across Phuket, such as Chalong Pier, Rawai Pier, and more. The ride takes 15-20 minutes each way on a shared speedboat. Book a tour in advance and transfers are included. Speedboats can accommodate up to 35 passengers. Life jackets are provided. The quick boat ride is exhilarating, with the wind in your hair as you zoom across the sea. However, the bumpy ride may not suit those prone to motion sickness.

Arriving at Coral Island

Once you dock at Coral Island, there will be time for swimming, snorkeling, and beach activities before the included lunch around noon. Popular spots are Long Beach for its calm, clear waters and Coral Viewpoint for panoramic views from the hilltop. After eating, continue exploring the island until the return speedboat transfer which is usually mid-afternoon.

Top Activities

Snorkeling through the array of coral and bright tropical fish is a highlight. Equipment and basic instruction are provided. Relax on the soft white sands of Long Beach, go parasailing for amazing aerial views, ride on a banana boat, or spend time paddle boarding.

Situated less than three kilometers off the southern coast of Phuket , Coral Island is popular among beach dwellers who are looking to get away from the crowds on the beaches of the main island. Coral Island , or Ko Hei (or Ko He) as locals call it, is home to Coral Island Resort , and while the island itself measures less than 5 kilometers from end to end, Coral Island offers everything guests need for an island holiday packed with the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure.

Getting to Coral Island

Visitors who want to explore Coral Island and enjoy all of its beautiful sights can reserve their spot on a charter speedboat for approximately 950 baht, depending on what boat service you book with. From the south shoreline of Phuket , the total boat trip takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, and it is a thrilling experience for guests of all ages. Multiple boats shuttle passengers to and from Coral Island , so there is flexibility on when you can go and how long you can stay once you are there. The trip between the two islands is picturesque, so be sure to bring a camera to capture some scenery and candid moments with your party.

What You’ll Do

Pick up from your Hotel to Rawai beach Pier for the departure and activities of this great Coral Island full day Tour starting with a 15 minutes transfer by speedboat and arriving at Koh Hey or Coral island. Fully enjoy the white sandy beach with turquoise waters as you will be able to partake in various sea activities.

At lunch time enjoy very nice buffet with a taste of Thailand’s famous cuisine at our Hey restaurant. Let’s continue our relaxing time back to the beach for more leisure hours spending your time swimming and snorkeling, sunbathing. At the end of the tour, we depart from Coral Island back to Rawai and transfer back to your hotel.

The island activities details: all activities are allowed for people between 10 and 60 years old :

• Banana boat duration 20 minutets;
• Parasailing 800 meters;
• Sea Walking 20 minutes;
• Diving 45 minutes. (parasailing weight limit is 80 KG).

For all guests who will be flying on the date, for those who suffer from any medical issue or intoxicated with alcohol, Scuba Diving or Sea Walking are not recommended and will be banned.

One of the highlights of our 3 day trip to Pattaya was the day trip to Coral Island . You must do these activities if your stay is longer in Pattaya.

What are the activities included in the Coral Island package?

Activity cost

All these activities are done with a Lifevest on to ensure safety. So it is manageable even if you don’t know swimming.

We had pre-booked these water activities through a common friend but they are also available online( Klook , Viator ). A day before our trip, a lady from the touring agency came to our hotel and confirmed the same.

We paid her the full amount in cash.

The entire package costs 1900 Thai Baht  (THB). 1 THB ~ 2.3 Indian Rupee (₹), 1 Euro (€) ~ 34 THB .

At 8.45 am, the tuk-tuk driver picked us up and dropped us at the meeting point. A guide welcomed us by handing us a towel and a water bottle.

The agent takes care of the Pattaya ferry schedule and makes sure everyone is on board. 

Water activities in Pattaya Coral Island

Once everyone reached the meeting point, the guide instructed all the Dos and Don’ts.

Coral Island attractions can get crowded as the day progresses. You can easily get lost as there are 100s of boats carrying 1000s of tourists to that island. So always be with your group until the end of the day. 

Pattaya speedboat transfer

The tour operator transferred us to Coral Island through a speed boat. It was a fast and super thrilling ride. Grab a seat at the front end of the boat for some adventure.

1. Parasailing  

Parasailing is a popular water sport where you are attached to a parachute-shaped canopy and pulled by a boat. Long queues started building up so we had to wait for our turn. The process was very fast like for every minute, one person flew.

The best part of this activity is when you start flying high. The boat stops in the middle and you slowly start falling toward the sea. Just when you are about to touch, the driver speeds up again giving us the kiss of the seawater. 

2. Sea walking

Sea walking is a beautiful way to explore the underwater world; the corals, fishes, and rich marine life. An oxygen mask on your head allows walking on the seafloor. Yes, you can walk undersea (~20m deep).

When you enter underwater with an oxygen mask, pressure difference affects the ears. A few of my friends couldn’t cope with this pressure and they opted out.

The instructor was also harsh as he didn’t give them a second chance. He instructed us only once. So if you don’t follow his words properly it’s your loss.

The walk was surreal. One can touch the coral, admire the fishes around, and even feed them bread. We spent about 15 minutes. This was the most challenging activity of the day and the best of all.

3. Jet Skiing

Jet Skiing is a high-speed water sport. This is one of the easiest activities. The instructor drove a few 100m at high speed and allowed you to drive on the way back. The whole activity lasted for just a few minutes.

4. Banana boat

This is a small, inflatable boat and the instructor tows this small boat with a high-speed boat. A group of 3 or 4 can easily accommodate this banana boat.

The instructor drove us fast and made a sudden U-turn making us fall off. It was an amazing ride but unfortunately lasted only a few minutes.

5. Coral and fish watching

Post lunch, a small boat took us to Snorkeling Point. The boat had a transparent glass bottom where you could watch fish and coral life. This was not interesting especially after Sea walking. 

6. Snorkelling

Being the last water sport of the day, the instructors didn’t tell us anything. I tried floating but it was difficult for me to see the underwater life. I couldn’t balance myself as I wasn’t a swimmer.

Indian lunch

In between these water activities, it was lunchtime. There were two options to choose from

• Indian food

We went to the Indian food option. Our instructor took us to an Indian restaurant. It was a half km walk in the burning sun and we were craving food. It was a buffet and the options were decent.

The food was good enough to fill our hunger but if you want to have a tasty menu then go for A la Carte (separate order from menu). Since the island is flooded with tourists, the restaurant failed to provide good service. Roti’s basket was empty and I had to wait for 15 min just to have a fresh round. 

Finally, the trip ended and the guide transferred us back to the main coast of Pattaya. We got our CD and it included pictures and videos of the day.

A few more souvenirs are available that can be purchased for 100 THB.  Apart from the above, Scuba diving, Flyboarding, Kite surfing, and many more water activities are available.

Pattaya Coral Island travel tips

• The tour operator provides towels to each one of you. Don’t lose them. You will be fined 200 THB.  
• Whenever an activity starts, be the first to start. Because long lines start building up testing your patience in the hot sun.
• Always go with an organized tour. Don’t rent a Jet Ski separately. There have been many Jet Ski scams where you rent a Jet Ski and on your return, the owner says that you damaged the vehicle. That was a dent/damage that was caused earlier. Tourists end up paying hundreds of euros. The local Police are part of this scam.
• Participants over 95 kg are not allowed in for the Parasailing activity. 
• The food is not great as these tours are commercialized. So if there is any option for you to skip lunch, I highly recommend it. Find something from the menu directly.
• The best time to visit Coral Island is from November to February.

We had a very knowledgeable tour guide who ran us through the itinerary at the start of the trip and provided background before arrival at the first point of interest. He also took pictures of the group through the tour on his phone which are sent to you at the end, complimentary. Good for solo travellers. The war cemetery was peaceful and you could walk through the rows to see the different allied forces that rested there (aussies near the front entrance to the left). The museum, though small, was a good reminder of what war actually looked like. The railway, particularly near the river is a stunning but somber reminder of what people died to create and that this was all done by hand. Some of the track is being replaced due to its age but the line is thesame. Other notes, I did quite enjoy the extras that I paid for; the short boat ride under the bridge thay was bombed by the US Air Forcr and the upgrade to reserve seating in the train which guaranteed a seat, snack, water for the 1hr train ride (economy looked full that day and it was too hot to potenially stand for that long) which was THB 300 for each extra (THB 600 total for extras). The buffet lunch was a solid selection of Thai food and desserts with instant coffee or tea included. Ate till full and awesome view of the river :). Option to buy cold drinks too if desired. We were introduced to our guide Jom who was everything you could need being knowledgeable, friendly, happy and entertaining. The minivan was comfortable and stops were made during the journey. The time spent at each of the locations was ideal providing opportunities to wander around taking photos after Jom explained about the history. • David D 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Unseen Khao Sok Eco Tour (TUI Tour) Tuesday 23rd January we were booked on the Unseen Khao Sok Eco Tour which we booked through the Tui Rep at our Hotel, BlueSotel Smart Hotel. It was an early morning start with a pick up at 07.00am. It was too early for breakfast but the Hotel prepared a snack box to take with us. Just after about an hour of driving there was a pit stop for a break of half an hour for a coffee and to use the bathroom. After another ninety minutes we arrived in Khao Sok National Park where we took a bamboo raft ride down the River Sok (reviewed separately) After the wonderful raft experience we made our way to the Mountain View Point Restaurant, our lunch stop on the Tour. On arrival we were shown into a small cooking area where one of the guides gave a cooking demonstration, cooking traditional Thom Yum. When cooked the pot was placed on our table as part of our meal (reviewed separately).  Lunch was served at 11.40 which a little too early for most of us on the Tour. The food was delicious, however a lot was wasted as it was too early, did raise the matter with the Tui Rep back at the Hotel. Water was included in the meal, other drinks were charged for, a large Chang was 109 Baht (roughly £2.50) Once lunch was over it was a twenty minute drive to the Monkey Temple, Wat Tham Phanthurat Thong, where we visited the Buddha Cave, the Temple and saw the monkeys, We stopped at Khao Sok Viewpoint on the way to the Thongsuk Elephant Park from here there were some spectacular views around the area. We then headed off to the Elephant Park, which was definitely was the highlight of the Tour. We fed the elephants, gave them a mud spa then scrubbed them clean. Our visit to Thongsuk Elephant Park was a memorable experience (reviewed separately). Coral Island Pattaya : Travel Guide and Day Tour

Visit Coral Island.  Pattaya’s Best Day Trip

Coral Island, as Koh Larn is called in the tour brochures, is an idyllic spot just 7.5 kilometres, a 15 minute speed boat ride, from Pattaya beach.

This scenic island has long been known as a prefect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Pattaya.  It is a relatively undeveloped island with just a handful of resorts; several laid back beaches and an ever increasing number of great seafood restaurants.  The lush green hills in the interior of the island can be explored on foot, scooter or bicycle along narrow roads and paths. 

But best of all, unlike Pattaya beach, you will be able to swim off clean white sand beaches in clear blue seas and your eyes won’t be assaulted by concrete high rise blocks wherever you go.  A multitude of water activities are also available for visitors

It is possible to stay overnight on the island, but the vast majority of visitors will take a day trip to the island.  This is an ideal way to see the island as you can take a boat in the morning, spend a few hours there and then return late afternoon. 

A guided tour is the most common way of doing this. There are some examples of day tour itineraries below.  The tours are great if you want to spend the day doing something other than just hanging out on the popular Tawaen beach.  Water activities such as parasailing, banana boat rides, scuba diving , snorkelling , sea walking and jet ski riding are available.   It’s much better value to do these activities as part of a tour than pay for them individually. 

However, it is possible to spend a day chilling on Koh Lan , away from the tour groups.  You’ll be able to get away from the package tourists and the busiest beaches where the boats moor, and discover all the island has to offer. Enjoying panoramic views, discovering quiet beaches and eating in smaller locally owned restaurants. 

(Personally, I feel it is more rewarding to do the trip independently , by public boat from Bali Hai pier.  But a day tour is far easier to arrange, especially if you don’t have much time and want arrangements to run like clockwork.) 

How to Get to Coral Island? Day Tours from Pattaya

Getting there is a cinch. There are numerous full day tours and half day trips run by companies based in Pattaya.  In general, two types of Pattaya Coral Island tour by speed boat are on offer.

Visitors can choose a simple tour, with just transport and lunch provided OR a fun-filled full day trip which includes two, three or four different activities.  The great thing about the second option is that you can tailor the tour to suit your requirements and budget. Choose to enjoy a day of leisure on the beach.  Or get on, under and above the water for some fun. 

Shorter, half day tours usually don’t include lunch.  Visitors will have the morning or afternoon on Tawaen beach.  However, the beach restaurants serve up inexpensive Thai food , snacks and cold drinks. 

The Pattaya Coral Island tour will begin with you being picked up from your hotel and taken to Pattaya beach.  Your speed boat will leave from the beach around 08:00 – 09:00 and go directly to the island.  It is just a short 20 minute trip. 

You’ll be taken to one of the main beaches on the island. Tawaen beach is the largest and busiest beach.  You’ll have already decided how you want to spend your day.  For some it will be taking a swim, supping on an ice cold coconut and generally watching the world go by. For others it will be on one or more of the activities on offer. 

Lunch, which is included in the tour price, will be at one of the bustling beach restaurants.   There will often be an option to include a seafood lunch.  But, it as prices for fresh seafood are low on the island,  you’ll get much more choice if you check out restaurant menus when you are on the beach. A seafood lunch on Coral Island isn’t an expensive luxury.

For the return trip, you’ll be picked up around 15:00 – 16:00 and taken back to Pattaya beach or Bali Hai pier by speed boat. From there transport will be provided to your hotel.

Coral Island Tour Program and Prices

As mentioned above, the trips offer a lot of flexibility regarding activities. You’ll see that I’m not linking to any recommended trips or tours.  This is because there are so many to choose from and all offer pretty much the same thing for the same price. This is an example of a typical full day tour and prices for additional water activities.  

Tour operators usually take their clients to Tawaen beach.  This is one of the busiest, but also most scenic on the island. 

In case you’re wondering what ‘ sea walking ‘ is, it’s not walking on water.  It’s walking on the sea bed.  How?  By using a weighted helmet that fits over your head.  Air is pumped into the fishbowl-like helmet and you are lowered a few metres from a floating platform to the sea bed.  Where you can experience walking underwater.  Unlike scuba diving, no special training is required.  There will be a guide on hand , in scuba gear, to accompany you. 

Full day tours are also run to accommodate specific requirements. For example, some focus on tours for Indian, Russian or Chinese visitors.  And so these trips will include the services of a guide that speaks Hindi, Russian or Mandarin Chinese. 

Lunch will also be tailored to certain dietary requirements.  For example, Indian visitors often prefer an Indian style lunch rather than regular seafood or Thai food lunch. Likewise Chinese visitors may prefer a less spicy or a simpler lunch than Thai guests. 

Where to Book a Coral Island Tour?

Visitors to Pattaya who are on a package tour will often have a trip to the island included in their itinerary already.  It will probably include a couple of activities and you’ll be able to pay more to do others.  For independent travelers, it is easy to make plans a couple of days in advance.  There’s no need to arrange all your activities and excursions months before you set off on vacation.  

If you prefer to book tours in person, then you’ll find a multitude of tour agents booths within 100 metres of your hotel in Pattaya.  All offer the same trips and full day and half day tours .  Prices are often negotiable, especially if you are booking for a family or a group of friends. 

A good agent knows that if you book one trip with them and get a good price then you’ll probably book more and become a regular customer. 

Nowadays more people opt to book direct with the tour company online.  Klook.com is probably the best known site for arranging everything from transport to trips and tours, to theatre tickets and afternoon teas.  There’s a whole host of possibilities which can easily be booked using your phone from anywhere in the world. It’s well worth checking out as you’ll find plenty more activities at discounted prices in Pattaya.  Such as water parks and cabaret shows.

How to Catch Every Legendary Fish

Legendary Fish are seasonal catches, requiring you to catch them during specific times they appear in the waterways. Below is a comprehensive guide on catching each one:

Giant Sea Bass

In the first seven days of Fall, head to the Ocean at any time of day or night, regardless of weather conditions, to catch the Giant Sea Bass. You require one Legendary Bass to complete the Rare Fish Altar in the Lake Temple . Any additional fish can be sold for a base price of 972 coins.

Giant Stingray

Between the 15th and 28th of both Summer and Spring, fish in the River (Forest) during Sunny or Windy weather in the mornings or afternoons to catch the Legendary Giant Stingray. Donate the first Legendary Stingray you catch to the Museum for extra points.

Great White Shark

During the first 14 days of Summer, head to the Ocean near the Dock area and fish in the mornings or afternoons on sunny and windy days to catch the Legendary White Shark. Donate your first catch to the Museum for three extra points, and sell the rest for a base price of 972 coins.

Green Sawfish

During rainy, stormy, snowy, or blizzard weather in Winter, you can catch a Legendary Green Sawfish in the Estuary. Visit this location during afternoons, evenings, or nights to maximize your chances of catching this rare fish. Only Theo loves this item as a gift , and you're better off donating it to the Museum or selling it for the same base price as other Legendary sea creatures.

Catch a Hammerhead in the Lookout Area (Ocean) during the first 21 days of Fall and Winter. Visit this area during rainy, stormy, snowy, or blizzard weather, and fish from morning to night to guarantee catching it.

Monkfish is available in the Forest area's Ocean during the first 14 days of Spring. Fish during the evenings or nights on sunny or windy days for a chance to catch this Legendary fish. You will not need this fish for any of the Altars, and your best bet is to donate it to the Museum.

Raja Ampat Shark

To catch this Legendary shark, head to the Lookout area's Ocean during the first 14 days of Summer and fish in the evenings or nights. Regardless of the weather, you will have an opportunity to catch the Raja Ampat Shark if these conditions are met.

Red King Arowana

From the 22nd to the 28th of Fall, when the weather is rainy, stormy, or windy, you will have a chance to catch the Red King Arowana in the Water Mine, Wind Mine, and Fire Mine. Note that this Legendary creature only shows up in afternoons and evenings.

Yellow Moray Eel

The Legendary Eel can be caught in the Beach area's Ocean during the second half of Spring and Summer. Visit this location from the 15th to the 28th of these seasons and fish during nighttime to catch it.
