Welcome to Coorg!

Kodagu also know as Coorg is the "Scotland of India". Coorg is located on the eastern slopes of the Western Ghats. Kodagu shares its border with 6 different districts of India. The region is picturesque with coffee estates, pepper and vanilla plantation with a small cultivation of tea which forms the crops of the region. It is a small hill station with an altitude of 1150 metres above sea level.

Tadiandamol is the highest peak in the district of Coorg. River Kaveri (which originates in Talakaveri) and her tributaries drain most parts of Kodagu. Coorg Tour helps in exploring various traditions, cultures, adventures, wildlife, mountains, rivers and much more. Thats one hell of an experience!

The first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru during his visit to Coorg in the 1950’s praised Coorg for offering to the nation the greatest generals such as late Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa and General K.S. Thimayya and as a land known for its beautiful and comely women. Coorg is the Coffee Bowl of the country as it accounts for nearly 40 per cent of the country’s total coffee production. This land is also called by many as the “Scotland of India” for its sheer natural beauty.

Touring the beautiful town of Coorg whole day long was both exciting and a little tiring for me and my kids. The places that we covered were really worth seeing.

It was a good trip though it was raining in between. We started on time. But one to two hours we had to wait the rain to stop and continue the trip. Beautiful location with calm serenity.

DO THE GUESTS HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF DRIVER’S ALLOWANCE AND FOOD ON COORG TOUR?

No. The guests do not have to pay anything extra to the driver while on the Coorg trip. Our drivers have been provided their daily allowance by the company for their food and accommodation. Nor will they ever ask the guest any money while they are on the trip.

Yes. During the Coorg tour, whether the guests want to stop at any restaurant on the way or  to access washroom, they can request the driver and he will do the needful. Please do note that once the guests have entered “Bangalore – Mysore Highway”, which is barricaded for a long stretch by the highway authorities, access to restaurants or washrooms are limited or non-existent. If there is any medical condition, that entails the need for the guests for frequent washroom breaks, then they may please inform the same to the driver before the start of the journey and he will change the route accordingly.

HOW MUCH TIME IS ALLOCATED TO THE GUESTS TO SPEND AT THE TOURIST SPOTS IN COORG?

During the Coorg tour, the guests can spend as much time they want at any tourist spot. The driver will patiently wait at the parking spot.

Yes. If you want to shop in Coorg, you can let the driver know and he will guide you where you can shop. Most of the shops are located in Madikeri Town. When the guests visit Madikeri Town, they can indulge in shopping, the driver will take the guests to the shops of their choice.

If guests are arriving from Chennai or Hyderabad by train for their Coorg tour and would like the driver to pick them up early morning at 5.00 or 6.00 from the railway station, then it is possible. After picking up the guests in early morning, the driver can take the guests to a nearby hotel or lodge to freshen-up for few hours. The hotel rooms are provided on temporary basis for 2 to 3 hours to stay and freshen-up. And will cost around 500 to 700 Rs. Payable directly at the hotel. Once the guests have made the booking online, the driver will provide them a courtesy call, at that time, they can inform the driver, to pick them up from Mysore.
