Growing up in Nantucket, Massachusetts, Meghan Trainor enjoyed a musical childhood and was inspired by her music teacher father to start learning various instruments and singing at an early age, before writing her own songs at the age of 11. In 2004, she performed publicly for the first time at her aunt and uncle's wedding where she played 'Heart and Soul' on the piano. She was a member of a jazz band for three years during high school, before enrolling at Berklee College of Music where she received high marks and was particularly commended for her vocal talent and songwriting ability.

By the age of 18, she had self-released three albums, leading to a lucrative deal with Epic Records. Her debut single 'All About That Bass' was released to widespread acclaim in 2014 and the video became a viral internet sensation. The empowering song, where Meghan declares she's 'no stick figure silicon Barbie doll' racked up over 1,600,000 views on YouTube within a month, with the track becoming one of the biggest global smash hits of the year including eight weeks at the top of the U.S charts and international sales amounting to six million. Meghan Trainor Gears Up For Highly Anticipated ‘Timeless Tour’ After Eight-Year Hiatus – Dates & Ticket Info

Grammy-winning singer Meghan Trainor thrilled fans with the announcement of her first tour in eight years, aptly named The Timeless Tour , in support of her upcoming album set to release in June.

The tour will see Trainor gracing arenas and amphitheaters across North America from September to October, including a performance at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City on September 25.

Trainor, 30, expressed her gratitude toward her loyal fan base, known as Megatronz, for their unwavering support throughout her decade-long career. In a press release, she stated, “I cannot believe it has been ten years since this all started. I have never been more grateful for this life that my incredible Megatronz have gifted me with. This new album and tour are all for them and my beautiful family.”

Trainor’s tour schedule includes performances at various venues across North America, such as the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, the TD Pavilion at the Mann in Philadelphia and the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis, Missouri, among others.

The Timeless Tour will feature special guests Natasha Bedingfield, Paul Russell, Chris Olsen and Ryan Trainor on select dates.

Trainor’s setlist is anticipated to be a blend of her chart-topping hits and new material from her upcoming album. Fans can expect to hear favorites like “All About That Bass,” “Lips Are Movin” and “Me Too” as well as exciting surprises for a memorable concert experience.

The release of Trainor’s sixth studio album, Timeless , is scheduled for June 14. The lead single from the album, “Been Like This,” which features T-Pain , has already captivated audiences with its infectious energy and horn-heavy sound. Trainor expressed her excitement about the album and shared on Instagram, “This album means so much to me, and I can’t wait to share even more soooon.”

Meghan Trainor is all new, unveiling a fresh single, album announcement and tour dates Thursday (March 14) — but somehow, she’s staying timeless at the same time.

Looking Ahead: A Release Calendar of Upcoming Albums in 2024

The Grammy winner revealed that her sixth studio album, Timeless, is set to arrive June 14 via Epic Records, sharing the album cover — on which she poses in long black gloves and cobalt blue tights — via Instagram. “I cannot believe it has been 10 years since this all started,” the singer said in a statement.

Ahead of the project’s release, Trainor dropped a new single “Been Like This” featuring T-Pain . The uptempo track opens with a jazzy intro and features a trumpet counter melody throughout. “She’s cute and she’s classy, thick, bold and sassy/ She knows what she do when she moves,” she sings, with the “Buy You a Drank” rapper joining in for the second verse.

On top of that, the “All About That Bass” musician shared dates for her Timeless Tour, kicking off in September with a show in Cincinnati. Featuring special guests Natasha Bedingfield, Paul Russell, TikToker Chris Olsen and Trainor’s brother, Ryan, the trek will find the singer-songwriter making stops in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, New York, Toronto, Texas and more places, closing with a finale performance at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif.

To kick off this exciting new era, Meghan teamed up with her all-time favorite artist, T-Pain , to create “Been Like This,” an upbeat anthem complete with an irresistibly playful sound and knockout vocal performances. On working with Meghan, T-Pain shared, “I worked with Meghan’s husband and manager for MONTHS trying to surprise her for her birthday. She’s been a fan of mine for a long time and the feeling is definitely mutual. This fall, Meghan is making her long-awaited return to stages for the Timeless Tour . Produced by Live Nation and kicking off September 3 at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, OH, the 24-show tour includes stops at Madison Square Garden in New York, the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO. Fellow pop powerhouse Natasha Bedingfield will be joining Meghan as direct support for her NYC, Denver, and Los Angeles dates, and “Lil Boo Thing” crooner, Paul Russell will be direct support for the entirety of the tour. Best friend Chris Olsen and older brother Ryan Trainor will also be joining the tour as special guests, bringing their signature charisma and humor to the stage. Meghan Trainor is celebrating a decade of "All About That Bass," but she's feeling timeless.

On Thursday, the Grammy winner treated fans to her new single "Been Like This" with T-Pain as well as the announcement of her upcoming album Timeless , which she'll be supporting with a massive headlining tour — her first in seven years — later this year.

"I cannot believe it has been 10 years since this all started," reflected Trainor, 30, in a statement ahead of the 10th anniversary of her debut hit, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, in June.

"I have never been more grateful for this life that my incredible Megatronz have gifted me with," added the star, who shares sons Riley , 3, and  Barry , born in July 2023, with husband Daryl Sabara . "This new album and tour are all for them and my beautiful family."

Timeless is set for a June 14 release via Epic Records. The album's first single, "Been Like This" with T-Pain, dropped Thursday — after the rapper spent quite a bit of time trying to make a collaboration with Trainor come to fruition.

"I worked with Meghan’s husband and manager for MONTHS trying to surprise her for her birthday," says T-Pain, 39, of the "Me Too" singer, whose birthday is December 22. "She’s been a fan of mine for a long time and the feeling is definitely mutual."

Following the new album's release, Trainor will embark on The Timeless Tour across North America with special guests Natasha Bedingfield , Paul Russell, Chris Olsen and Ryan Trainor — a.k.a. Meghan's younger brother.

Kicking off Sept. 4 at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, the tour will make stops in cities including Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York City, Toronto, Phoenix and more before wrapping Oct. 19 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.

Meghan Trainor | The Timeless Tour

Meghan Trainor first made history in 2014 with her diamond-certified smash single “All About That Bass.” Since then, the award-winning singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist has garnered a GRAMMY® for Best New Artist, achieved eight multi-platinum singles and two multi-platinum albums, sold out three world tours, penned multi-platinum hits for peers across pop and country, and received countless industry awards and nominations. Expanding her influence on pop culture, she starred on FOX’s hit series THE FOUR: Battle for Stardom and on the superstar coaching panel of The Voice UK . She kicked off 2020 with the release of her third full-length album, Treat Myself (Epic Records), which includes the platinum smash “No Excuses” as well as blockbuster anthems and collaborations such as “Nice To Meet Ya” [feat. Nicki Minaj], “Genetics” [feat. Pussycat Dolls], and “Wave” [feat. Mike Sabath]. The album features colossal certified platinum hit “ Made You Look, ” which has garnered over 300 million streams and become a global sensation, being used in over 6 million videos on social media to date. The track also took the #1 spot on Billboard’s Adult Pop Airplay chart and Hot AC chart and won the first-ever Rolling Stone Sound of the Year award at the Streamys. She kicked off 2023 by joining the judging panel of the iconic star-maker series, Australian Idol , in its highly anticipated return to air. In March, Meghan released Takin’ It Back (Deluxe) , which features 3 new songs including new single “Mother.” To celebrate the holiday season, Meghan teamed up with Jimmy Fallon to release their playful collaboration, “Wrap Me Up.” In April 2023, Meghan made her literary debut with Dear Future Mama , a humorous, unflinching guide to pregnancy and motherhood. This fall, Meghan is making her long-awaited return to stages for the Timeless Tour. Produced by Live Nation and kicking off September 4 at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, OH, the tour includes stops at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO. Fellow pop powerhouse Natasha Bedingfield will be joining Meghan as direct support for her Denver, and Los Angeles dates, and “Lil Boo Thing” crooner, Paul Russell will be direct support for the entirety of the tour. Best friend Chris Olsen and older brother Ryan Trainor will also be joining the tour as special guests, bringing their signature charisma and humor to the stage. Fans will have the opportunity to hear tracks from Timeless along with plenty of classics from her chart-topping catalog.
