Micky Flanagan has announced a new stand-up tour - and it's coming to Birmingham . The comedians routines were viewed by millions online during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Flanagan is also famous for coining the phrase 'out out' in 2010. The 60-year-old will now tour the UK with his new If We Ever Needed It tour.

He will entertain crowds at Birmingham's Utilita Arena on Thursday, March 30, in one of eight shows across the UK and Ireland, as part of his first tour since 2017. He has since announced a further two dates in Birmingham - on Friday, March 31, and Saturday, April 1.

The announcement came with a tongue and cheek warning for anyone unfamiliar with Micky's humour, explaining: "The show covers Micky turning 60-who’d have thought it? As well as having sex with your glasses on, his school alumni and his ballbag. It’s fair to say it’s for over-16s."

General sale tickets are available from Saturday, February 25, on The Ticket Factory . However, fans reported problems accessing resale tickets on Ticketmaster earlier this week.

If you need something to brighten your mood on this grey February morning, let us provide that something for you: East London comedian Micky Flanagan is touring the UK for the first time in six years.

The man who gave Britain the iconic 'out out' phrase is back with his brand new show, If Ever We Needed It… The Bethnal Green-raised comedian is busy fine-tuning his comedy material with warm up gigs in Newcastle, Manchester and London this month, just in time for the tour which begins in Manchester on Wednesday 1st March and ends in London on Friday 26th May.

Flanagan shot to our attention in 2001 when he performed in the Big Value Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as one of the four headline acts, and in 2003, Flanagan co-headlined a show with British comedian Nina Conti. The 60-year-old’s first full-length solo show, What Chance Change?, was in 2006, and in 2007, he was nominated at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards for Best Newcomer.

What’s the difference between 'going out' and 'going out out'? Flanagan let us all know with The Out Out Tour from 2010 to 2011. In 2016, he also became the best-selling comic in the UK when he sold over 600,00 advance tickets for his An’ Another Fing… tour.

As well as live shows, Flanagan created and starred in Micky Flanagan's Detour de France and Micky Flanagan Thinking Aloud. He’s also appeared on various shows such as Mock the Week, A League of Their Own, and 8 Out of 10 Cats.

He’s the man who gave Britain the “Out Out” phrase, which was used by Piccadilly Circus tube to put a smile on commuters’ faces as we came out out of Lockdown and went on to be used by TFL to encourage people back into theatres, restaurants and clubs.  Micky cut his comedy teeth at these clubs and it clearly paid off.

His routines online, including the Perks of Peeping, The Shits Abroad, The Crafty Cockney, The Demise of Fingering, Tomato Sauce and Chicken Children, have been viewed in the hundred millions, and are a huge hit on TikTok. He keeps us laughing through the tough times – and if ever we needed it, it’s now!

Micky’s been double busy writing the new show and it’s already proved a hit with fans, he’s even been doing matinees!

Fans of Micky Flanagan are poised to snap up tickets for his latest tour titled If Ever We Needed It .

The last time the comedian took a big show on the road was in 2017 with his An’ Another Fing Tour , playing to more than 600,000 people across the UK and Ireland.

Here is what we know about the forthcoming tour and how to get tickets.

What can we expect from the new show?

According to the publicity, the over-16s show will cover – among other things – Flanagan turning 60, having sex with your glasses on and his high school alumni.

The much loved British comedian is hitting the road with a new hilarious act. Here's what you need to know about securing Micky Flanagan tickets.

He's the cheeky Cockney geezer who never fails to leave an audience in stitches. And 2023 has brought with it the good news that the East Ender is touring again - his first one in six years. 2017's An Another Fing saw 11 sold-out shows at London's O2 and became the biggest comedy event of the year, entertaining over 600,000 people across the UK and Ireland. It's safe to say that the demand for tickets for his upcoming If Ever We Needed It… tour is exceptionally high, so we've shared details on how much tickets will cost and where to secure them.

It's not the only tour that's had people glued to their phones in the hope of securing tickets this year. Thousands tried for Beyonce tickets earlier this month, whilst rock 'n' roll fans rushed to get The Who tour tickets in January. March also saw the announcement of an S Club 7 reunion tour , in celebration of their 25th anniversary.

How much are Micky Flanagan tickets?

Tickets to Micky Flanagan's If Ever We Needed It… tour start from £35.75 per person. Ticket prices do not include the additional £2.75 admin fee, £2.50 transaction fee and £6.75 service charge per order.

Whilst standard ticket prices are priced between £35 and £64.50, there are a number of premium experiences being offered too - though these will set you back over £100 or more.

Following a Ticketmaster presale on the morning of February 22, some re-sale ticket sites like ViaGoGo have already listed Micky Flanagan tickets online. Though it's worth noting that the prices are much higher than the original RRP. 

One Twitter user , who was was unable to secure Micky Flanagan tickets in the presale, tweeted that "they are on viagogo for 3 x price". A quick scan shows tickets listed for £92 and more currently.

How do I get Micky Flanagan tickets?

Micky Flanagan tickets go on general sale at 10am on February 25 (this Saturday). Tickets can be purchased via  Ticketmaster , Live Nation ,  AXS and   The Ticket Factory .

Those signed up to the Ticketmaster mailing list were able to snap up pre-sale tickets on February 22, via a unique presale code. However, many users complained that they were experiencing technical difficulties with the site. 

Large waiting times were also reported with lengthy queues. "Only 1800 people infront of me but apparently I can’t get tickets, tried getting 3, 2 and 1 tickets," tweeted Twitter user Beth Rossiter .

O2 customers can try and secure Micky Flanagan tickets in a O2 Priority pre-sale , which takes place at 10am on February 23. Make sure you register your interest ahead of time to get priority access.

A Live Nation Presale is also happening at 10am on February 24. You'll need to create and register an account in advance to take advantage of the presale.

If unable to acquire tickets in a pre-sale, fear not. Micky Flanagan tickets will be on sale to the general public on Saturday 22 March.

Due to popular demand, it was announced on February 22 that five extra dates had been added for Micky's If Ever We Needed It… tour. These extra performances include second nights in Birmingham and Leeds, plus three new dates for audiences at London's O2 Arena.

As for what audiences can expect from the If Ever We Needed It… - the show is said to cover Micky turning 60. Alongside laughs about his age miletsone, there'll be jokes about "having sex with your glasses on, his school alumni and his ballbag."

As a result, an age limit of 16 and over is in place for all tour performances.

Those attending a Micky Flanagan have also been warned that no mobile phones, cameras or recording devices will be allowed at this show.   Anyone caught with a phone in the venue will be immediately ejected.

"Upon arrival, all phones and smart watches will be secured in Yondr pouches that will be unlocked at the end of the show," states the BiC website . "Guests maintain possession of their phones throughout the night, and if needed, may access their phones at designated Yondr unlocking stations in the lobby."

Finally, guests are being encouraged to print their tickets in advance "to ensure a smooth entry process".
