No. Neil Diamond is split into two characters in the musical, Then and Now, and is portrayed by two actors in each performance.

Outside food and drinks are not permitted in the theatre. You can purchase drinks at one of the concession stands inside the theatre. At this time, snacks are not sold at the concession stands so grab a bite before you come!

Cast & Creative

Nick Fradiani was the 2015 winner of American Idol . He released his debut solo project,  Hurricane  on Big Machine/Universal Records in 2016, featuring the hit single "Beautiful Life." Since 2017, he has toured the country and independently released multiple singles including “I'll Wait For You,” “Never Gonna,” and “Empire.” He recently released his second full length album  Past My Past  in 2022. National Tours:  A Bronx Tale  (Lorenzo.) Love and thanks to DGRW, my friends, and family; especially my Mom and Dad for taking me to my first concert at three-years-old to see Neil Diamond!

Mark Jacoby originated the role of Father in  Ragtime , earned Tony, Outer Critics, and Joseph Jefferson Award nominations for his performance as Gaylord Ravenal in  Showboat , directed by Harold Prince, and is a Theatre World Award recipient for his Broadway debut as Vittorio Vidal in  Sweet Charity , directed by Bob Fosse. Also on Broadway, he created the role of Walter Hobbs in  Elf , portrayed Judge Turpin in Stephen Sondheim’s  Sweeney Todd , was the Padre in  Man of La Mancha , appeared as Baron von Gaigern in  Grand Hotel , and for three years held the title role in  The Phantom of the Opera . Jacoby was seen as the Wizard in the First National Tour of  Wicked , received a Drama Desk nomination for his Off-Broadway performance as the Playwright in  Enter the Guardsman , and was Oscar Jaffee in the Goodspeed Opera production of On the  Twentieth Century  (Connecticut Drama Critics’ Award). He played Guido Contini in the Chicago premiere of  Nine  (Joseph Jefferson Award), Tevye in  Fiddler on the Roof  for the Walnut Street Theatre (Barrymore Award), Mayor Dummermutt in  The Visit  for Signature Theatre (Helen Hayes nomination), and George in  La Cage aux Folles  (Carbonell nomination). Recent television guest-starring appearances include Iron, Dopesick, The Blacklist, The Good Fight, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Elementary , and Madam Secretary .

A Beautiful Noise star Amber Ardolino was last seen as Linda McFly in the original Broadway cast of Back to the Future . Previous Broadway credits include: Funny Girl, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Hamilton and Head Over Heels . Formerly seen in Vegas starring as Sherrie in Rock of Ages . Film credits: Law and Order, In The Heights, Fosse/Verdon .

Broadway credits: Girl in  Once,  Delphi in  Harry Potter and the Cursed Child  (Original Broadway Company). Regional credits include:  Constellations, Of Mice and Men  at Steppenwolf Theatre;  Othello, Taming of the Shrew, The Heir Apparent  at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre;  Grounded  at Milwaukee Repertory;  The Pride  at About Face Theatre;  Cabaret, Frankenstein  with The Hypocrites and  33 Variations  at TimeLine Theatre. Television credits: Boss, Chicago PD, Chicago Justic e. She is an award-winning composer (Barrymore Award) and co-creator of the successful variety show  Erik and Jessie and Everyone You Know.  Along with her business partner, Erica Elam, she has designed workshops to strengthen Emotional Intelligence for the US Army. She is a teacher, director, musician, and improviser. Over the pandemic, she completed her long-postponed college degree (University of Colorado) and became a certified Birth Doula, supporting seven incredible families. She stays curious and busy.

Michael McCormick has been seen on Broadway in Wicked ,  Hello, Dolly!, Chaplin, Elf, Curtains, The Grinch…,The Pajama Game, Kiss Me, Kate, 1776, Gypsy, Marie Christine, Kiss of the Spider Woman and  La Bête.  On tour, he's appeared in  La Cage, The Producers, Les Misérables and Kiss of the Spider Woman.  Off-Broadway credits include  Himself and Nora, Fly by Night, A Man of No Importance,  etc. TV work includes  Blue Bloods, Brain Dead, Elementary, House of Cards, The Good Wife, Orange Is the New Black and all three Law & Order  series. Eighteen Broadway and Off-Broadway cast albums. Broadway debut:  Oliver!

Tom Alan Robbins has performed in eight Broadway shows, including  The Lion King  in which he created the role of Pumbaa. A BEAUTIFUL NOISE Announces Broadway Closing Date

The production will close following 35 preview and 675 regular performances. A national Tour will launch Fall 2024.

BroadwayWorld has learned that A Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical will play its final performance at the Broadhurst Theatre on Sunday, June 30 before embarking on an North American tour launching this fall in Providence, Rhode Island.

On that date, A Beautiful Noise will have played 35 preview performances and 657 regular performances on Broadway. Per the production, A Beautiful Noise has grossed almost $63,000,000 and been seen by almost half a million people representing all 50 states.

Additionally, the show was the first production after the pandemic to have its world premiere at Boston’s Emerson Colonial Theatre, revitalizing the return to the out-of-town tryout, an economic engine for many cities in the country and a much needed creative step for shows in development.

A Beautiful Noise began Broadway previews on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 and opened on Sunday, December 4 making international headlines as Diamond himself stood in his box seat and led the entire audience in a rousing rendition of “Sweet Caroline,” the last time he has publicly performed that iconic song. The best week for A Beautiful Noise was the week of December 11, 2022, with a gross of $1,447,503. This week saw 8,775 seats sold out of 9,216 available, marking a 95.20% occupancy. The average ticket price was $164.96, and the top ticket price was $347.50.

The production's worst week was that of July 9, 2023, with a gross of $623,098, a 55.50% occupancy rate. The average ticket price was $121.77, and the top ticket price remained at $347.50.

The average weekly gross was about $924,826, with a standard deviation of $184,481, indicating some variability in weekly earnings, and with a wide range suggesting significant fluctuations in the show's popularity and audience turnout throughout the show's run.

The bio-musical, which tells the story of Grammy-winning artist Neil Diamond , opened on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theatre on December 4, 2022. It features a book by Anthony McCarten and a score consisting of songs from Diamond’s catalog.

‘Dreaming Of You’: Selena’s Immortal Album

“Some of my most thrilling nights have been while I was on tour, bringing my music to audiences across the world,” Diamond said in a statement. “Having A Beautiful Noise go on tour is an honor, and I can’t wait for audiences across North America to experience this show. I hope they enjoy it as much as I have.”

Will Swenson, who had roles in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and The Greatest Showman , starred as young Diamond, and Broadway veteran Mark Jacoby played current-day Diamond. The cast also included Jessie Fisher as Jaye Posner and Robyn Hurder as Marcia Murphey. It hasn’t been announced who will be performing these roles on tour.

The singer-songwriter behind such hits as “Sweet Caroline,” “America,” and “Cracklin’ Rosie” had previously released a statement about the honor of having his life turned into a musical.

Upon news of the Broadway performance’s debut, he wrote, “I’ve had the joy of coming to Boston on countless occasions, but one of the most special was my 2013 trip to Fenway where I had the honor of being part of a moment of relief, unity, strength, and love,” he said. “Next summer, when A Beautiful Noise  has its first performance at the Emerson Colonial Theatre, and we’re all able to safely be in the same space together, experiencing the thrill of live theater, I imagine those same emotions will wash over me and the entire audience. Relief… Unity… Strength… Love… I can’t wait to share that experience.”

Mark Jacoby (Neil Diamond Now) originated the role of Father in  Ragtime , earned Tony, Outer Critics, and Joseph Jefferson Award nominations for his performance as Gaylord Ravenal in  Showboat , directed by Harold Prince, and is a Theatre World Award recipient for his Broadway debut as Vittorio Vidal in  Sweet Charity , directed by Bob Fosse. Also on Broadway, he created the role of Walter Hobbs in  Elf , portrayed Judge Turpin in Stephen Sondheim’s  Sweeney Todd , was the Padre in  Man of La Mancha , appeared as Baron von Gaigern in  Grand Hotel , and for three years held the title role in  The Phantom of the Opera . Jacoby was seen as the Wizard in the First National Tour of  Wicked , received a Drama Desk nomination for his Off-Broadway performance as the Playwright in  Enter the Guardsman , and was Oscar Jaffee in the Goodspeed Opera production of On the Twentieth Century  (Connecticut Drama Critics’ Award). Benson Boone is coming back for seconds.

After wrapping his ‘Fireworks and Rollerblades Tour’ in May — and opening for Taylor Swift at Wembley Stadium in June — the 22-year-old just announced he can’t wait to come back for more this fall.

“I’M HITTIN THE ROAD AGAIN!!!” he shared on Instagram . “I originally planned on just playing (Austin City Limits)…but I missed the shows and the noise and the crowds and the bus so I thought I’d add a few more dates.”

Notable stops on this go-round include gigs at Colorado’s Red Rocks Theatre (Sept. 24), Cincinnati’s ICON Festival Stage (Sept. 30) and Houston’s 713 Music Hall (Oct. 10).

He’ll also perform at Chicago’s Aug. 1-4 Lollapalooza ; there’s no word on what day he’ll be performing at the four-day extravaganza yet.

On April 5, Boone dropped his debut studio album “Fireworks & Rollerblades.”

Over 15 songs, the 22-year-old demonstrates an innate knack for emotional, inspirational anthems that will make you want to sing along at the top of your lungs in the shower, car and anywhere else you might let it all out.

Starting with the impressive “Intro,” which sets the cinematic tone, Boone takes listeners on an exhilarating ride for 50 minutes.

Former President Donald Trump was rushed off stage after loud popping sounds rang out as he was speaking to supporters at Butler, Pa., near Pittsburgh.

Trump was removed from the site by Secret Service, with his fist raised, after the noises.

Trump reached for his ear when the noises happened. He appeared to have blood on his ear and cheek as he left the stage.

People began screaming as agents pushed Trump to the ground.

Secret Service removed reporters from the site, calling it "an  active crime scene."

The crowd is currently being evacuated.

President Joe Biden, who is in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, said, “No, when asked by reporters as he left church if he had been briefed by about the shooting at the Trump rally.
