Mike Skinner Promo

Michael 'Mike' Skinner (born June 28, 1957), referred to on the show by his fictional character The American , is a NASCAR driver and was the resident racing driver for The Grand Tour for the duration of the show's first season, before he was replaced with British racing car driver Abbie Eaton . Skinner logged a total of nineteen individual lap times around the Eboladrome during his tenure on The Grand Tour.

Skinner's played an exaggerated self-righteous American character on the show, who was critical of almost anything that wasn't American-made and had a particular vendetta against communism.

Skinner's character was not well received by the show's fans and he was scrapped from The Grand Tour before the second series premiered. On the 17th of November, 2017, as part of the promotional campaign for the second season, a video was posted to The Grand Tour's YouTube channel that showed Clarkson 'calling Skinner' to let him know that he had been let go.

In International Buffoons' Vacation , Skinner was spotted stalking the Trio during their road trip.

Mike Skinner, Aka 'The American', Is Out On The Grand Tour Season 2

Viewers of the inaugural season of The Grand Tour   will remember the show’s own version of The Stig as NASCAR driver Mike Skinner : The American. But it seems like for the upcoming second season of the show, Skinner is out.

Related Content

Taking to Twitter yesterday, Skinner tweeted that he will not be appearing on TGT season two because, as he was told, his “character wasn’t developed.”

I’m speculating a bit here, but as the new season is set to air on Dec. 8 and Skinner is tweeting about it one month before it does, it could mean that he was either dropped at the last minute or he wasn’t allowed to publicly announce it until now. Either way, we won’t be seeing the spangly American on the show come winter.

I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, it was rather nice to see an American on a show that stars extremely British hosts, kind of like the flavor that Matt LeBlanc brings to Top Gear now.

On the other, I wasn’t thrilled with how Skinner’s character was portrayed. His hatred of import cars and undying love for fat-displacement V8s felt very heavy-handed and stereotypical. Perhaps this was funny for a non-American audience, but for me it felt tired and stale. Like, “Oh, look, here’s a twangy American NASCAR driver and he doesn’t even know what BMW stands for.” Low-hanging fruit, guys.

Anyway, I’m interested in seeing how the team will now cover the lap times portion of the show now, if they decide to keep that segment.

‘The American’ will not be returning to The Grand Tour Series 2

the grand tour the american

Series 1 of The Grand Tour got a lot more things right than it did wrong, but it still did have its fair share of parts which were, well, a bit rubbish. Take Celebrity Brain Crash for example. But news has emerged today that will surely have fans of the Amazon Prime show breathing a collective sigh of relief – ‘The American’ will not be returning in Series 2.

NASCAR driver Mike Skinner, who portrayed the brash, redneck-inspired stereotypical American racing driver announced the news on Twitter: “For your information I won’t be joining the guys on The Grand Tour’s 2nd season,” he wrote. “I wish them all the luck. My character wasn’t developed as I was told.”

the grand tour the american

This will come as no surprise to many, ourselves included, after ‘The American’ was singled out as being one of the worse aspects of The Grand Tour’s first series. The problem with ‘The American’ was that he simply wasn’t entertaining in any way at all. We struggled to find any redeeming features – his complaints whilst behind the wheel weren’t funny, and don’t even get us started on the endless stream of communist jokes.

The character was shitty to say the least. Amazingly, Skinner seems to think so, too.

“I agree with many of you that it sucked,” he wrote. “If you’re gonna wear Evil Knievel’s firesuit, you need to be Evil Flipping Knievel!”

“By the way… I enjoyed some of those cars I got to drive & I don’t really hate the Brits,” he added.

It is unclear at this stage who The Grand Tour will choose to take over Eboladrome lap duties following Skinner’s departure. But once again they’ll have to go to great lengths to ensure the driver has absolutely nothing in common with The Stig – to avoid being sued by the BBC.

Who do you think they should choose?

Mark Webber is your man. He has shown he can work well with the crew already. Aside from the bad rap the American got, the one single funniest comment in the new series was, him saying” where I come from, a car like this is cry for help!” Very very funny.

Get Elvis from Wheeler Dealers.

Jenson Button as jenson Button !! Just let him drive the car and talk !!!

So the yank has gone, no loss to the show there, I wonder what Jenson Button is up to these days?…

I would like to be the new tame racing driver on The Amazon Prime motoring show The Grand Tour.

I would like to have the job of being the tame racing driver on The Amazon Prime Motoring Show The Grand Tour.

' src=

I liked him and his jokes

' src=

Well, I don’t hate him, but his character just boring.

' src=

Would like to see Ben Collins

' src=

I was thinking the same but would he still be considered as associated with the stig and the TG?

' src=

Just get a regular retired driver. Any former F1 or similar would work fine. No need for a gimmick or identity secrecy.

Glad to hear that he’s gone. Maybe they can hire a retired F1 or touring car driver.

I can see what they were trying to do where the stig was silent this USA dude could talk and be rude as possible for entertainment but it just didn’t work right .

The Grand Tour Axing ‘The American’ for Season 2

Our prayers have been answered.

The inaugural season of Amazon's The Grand Tour may have had its moments, but it experienced teething problems in the form of multiple ill-considered repeating segments. Celebrity Brain Crash was only funny once, but overstayed its welcome by appearing in every episode to follow. The show's replacement for Top Gear 's helmeted, silent test driver named The Stig, named "The American," was as unpopular as Celebrity Brain Crash, due to his atrocious dialogue. He only praised a car once, when he drove the new Ford Mustang, and his incessant complaints tired viewers out quickly. According to "The American," portrayed by 1995 NASCAR Trucks champion Mike Skinner, the character will not be returning on the show's second season, as revealed on Twitter Tuesday.

Skinner's character joins the list of casualties suffered in the transition between seasons of the new motoring show, which now includes the once traveling, now stationary tent studio , and almost included Richard Hammond . Cheap car challenges are, despite photographs suggesting their return, not due to feature in this season of The Grand Tour .

The speechless Stig was replaced by a character with a speaking role due to scuffles between Amazon and the BBC over intellectual property similarities between the two shows. James May even spoke of a lawyer trying to reserve the BBC 's right to one of his signature swears, "Oh cock," despite the fact that May had said it since before appearing on Top Gear .

The announcement by Skinner does not fully describe the reasons why he and the show parted ways, and The Drive reached out to Amazon Studios for more information on the split, though no comment was returned.

July's teaser for the upcoming season can be watched here , and the trailer from Nov. 1 can be seen here . The second season of Amazon's The Grand Tour is due for release on Tuesday, Dec. 8.

The American

Mike Skinner, aka "The American" is an American Racing Driver. He worked for The Grand Tour during Series 1 as the test driver who would take cars round The Eboladrome once they had been tested by the presenters at the same track.

Appearances [ ]

Skinner was introduced as The Grand Tour's Chief Test Driver at The Eboladrome in the show's premiere . While setting a test lap he would make "American" comments often putting down the car from an American perspective, only praising cars which were actually American. During his tenure, his tests ranged from a Fiat Abarth 124 Spider to an Aston Martin Vulcan. Due to unpopularity with viewers he was replaced in the show's Second Series by Abbie Eaton .

In International Buffoons' Vacation , The American was spotted stalking the trio as they drove across the Nevada desert, although only Jeremy Clarkson could see him.

The Grand Tour

Jeremy Clarkson has revealed why it’s the end of the road for The Grand Tour . Clarkson said he and co-hosts, James May and Richard Hammond, decided to quit the Amazon Prime Video show after running out of steam.

In an interview with The Times of London , Clarkson said it was becoming increasingly difficult to conjure up outlandish adventures for the show and that the presenters were all showing their age.

He added that The Grand Tour missions are “immensely physical” and had become increasingly difficult when “you’re unfit and fat and old.” “If you’re Bear Grylls you go to a hotel — there aren’t any hotels in the Sahara desert,” Clarkson said.

Clarkson, Hammond, and May confirmed last November that they had filmed their final installments of  The Grand Tour . Two final episodes of the motoring series were recorded in Mauritania and Zimbabwe and will premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

Fozia Khan, Amazon Studios’ head of unscripted in the UK, said the brand could survive with another set of presenters. “It’s come to its natural end,” she said, adding that her team was “thinking about” how the show can live on.

Clarkson will continue to host Clarkson’s Farm for Amazon after the series has become the streamer’s highest-rated UK original. Filming on Season 4 is set to begin this year. Clarkson is also hosting more Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? for ITV.

The Times interviewer Ed Potton wrote that he was told not to ask Clarkson about his reviled The Sun newspaper column about Meghan Markle. Clarkson wrote that he imagines the day Markle is paraded “naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant, ‘Shame!’ and throw lumps of excrement at her.” The piece was retracted and Amazon made clear its fury at the article.

Asked if he feels under pressure to be controversial, Clarkson said: “No! I like being controversial. Some people who see a still pond find that peaceful, but I cannot resist throwing a stone in it.”

  • Trivia The pontoon bridge constructed by the National Pontoon Adventure Consultancy with some assistance from Clarkson, May and Hammond spanned around 1,000 feet from the coast near Griminish, North Uist to the nearby uninhabited tidal island of Vallay. The "spiky building" Clarkson suggests visiting with Hammond - supposedly the site of the fictitious town of Hammondsburg - is in real life Taigh Mòr, which in English means "Big House". The well-appointed Edwardian mansion boasted running water piped in from North Uist as well as fireplaces in every room. It was built in 1905 for Scottish textile manufacturer, historian and landscape photographer Erskine Beveridge, one of the heirs to the estate of an internationally-renowned tableware manufacturer. After his passing in 1920, the property was inherited by his son George, who drowned in 1944 while attempting to make the crossing from North Uist to Vallay at high tide. With no heirs, the mansion was abandoned soon after his death and its staff dismissed. In the three-quarters of a century since it has gradually become a ruin, and its story has been documented by Scottish-Indian writer, musician and academic Arun Sood, whose grandmother Katie MacNaughton was one of the last to leave the island.

The Meaning Behind “The Grand Tour” by George Jones Hit a Bit Too Close to Home

by Jim Beviglia January 23, 2024, 6:47 am

Country music has always been associated with songs of sadness. It makes sense then that George Jones was such a legend of the genre,. Nobody has ever been able to transmit sadness across the airwaves quite like he did.

Videos by American Songwriter

Getting deep inside the tragedies and misfortunes of his songs might have been a little easier for Jones than most. He was often living through some circumstance in his own turbulent life that related almost directly to the lyrics. Case in point: “ The Grand Tour ,” a masterpiece of melancholy that features Jones hitting every nuance and twist in a brilliantly crafted piece of material. Let’s look back at how this country classic came to be and learn the meaning behind “The Grand Tour” by George Jones.

Getting Grand Again

George Jones dominated the ’60s in terms of the country music charts. But by the time the decade turned over, he was scuffling a bit to find the touch. While many blamed the never-ending drama in his personal life for the dip, Jones himself felt that his work wasn’t getting properly handled by his producers and record executives, which is why he decamped for Epic Records.

Jones thought that Epic’s Billy Sherrill was just the guy to transform his work, but their first few records together didn’t do much. To make matters worse, Jones’ wife at the time, Tammy Wynette, was pretty much the queen of the genre. In an interview with Billboard in 2006, Jones spoke about how it took Sherrill a while to understand just how to approach Jones’ vocal stylings.

“He just came up with that sound like he got with Tammy [Wynette], [sings] ‘Ba bum ba bum ba bum,’ build-ups, and it was a little more updated, I guess,” Jones remembered. “He tried to do that with me, but I finally had a talk with him. I said, ‘Billy, I’m country, I’m traditional, I know you’re wanting to cross over with me like you have with Tammy, Charlie Rich and those people, but I’m hardcore and I can’t help it. That’s what I feel, and I can’t do a good job for the label, you or anybody else if I don’t feel it myself.’ I had no problem after that, we’d go in and he got me a good sound. I used my fiddle and steel and good country pickers, and I guess I really just lucked up a little bit on finding the songs.”

Stranger Than Fiction

One of those songs that Jones found was a beauty written by Norro Wilson, George Richey, and Carmol Taylor. And, as was so often the case with Jones, he found himself singing about a subject that hit very closet to home. “The Grand Tour” is a song about a breakup, and, about the time he recorded it with Sherrill, his own marriage to Wynette was crumbling. Bizarrely enough, co-writer Richey would later marry Wynette in a twist that not even Jones’ most devastating songs of woe could have imagined.

If Sherrill had struggled initially producing Jones, he certainly got it just right with “The Grand Tour.” It’s clever how each section begins with Jones singing a cappella, only to be answered by a piano that almost seems to be mocking him before the whole band kicks into gear. Pete Drake provides inimitable support on steel guitar. As for Jones, listen to how he sounds genial at the beginning of each verse as he talks to the stranger, before his emotions get the better of him as he talks about his wife’s departure.

What Is “The Grand Tour” About?

“The Grand Tour” is structured as if the narrator were a real estate agent conducting an open house for potential buyers. But it quickly turns into something different when he explains that, Some things I know will chill you to the bone are waiting inside. From there, he goes through the inventory: a chair, a bed, a photo of the pair, and finally, her rings, all her things/And her clothes are in the closet .

To each of these is attached a bittersweet memory of happier times. When he shows the stranger the picture of her, he can’t help but ruminate on what might have been: Don’t it look like she’d be able/Just to touch me and say, ‘Good morning, dear.’ But since she’s gone forever , that’s an impossibility.

[RELATED: Behind the Song: George Jones, “He Stopped Loving Her Today”]

Alternative Take

It should be noted that some fans of the song believe that “The Grand Tour” doesn’t depict a divorce, but instead a scenario where the wife has died along with their child in some accident. That’s a bit of a gruesome take on it in our opinion, but the important thing is the emotion conveyed by Jones as he brings it all home: As you leave you’ll see the nursery/Oh, she left me without mercy .

“The Grand Tour” proved a massive comeback hit for Jones upon its release in 1974, and helped point the way to another monumental collaboration with Sherrill in “ He Stopped Living Her Today .” You don’t need to have lived through that kind of sadness to relate to the song, because George Jones’ performance made sure we could wallow in it with him for the course of those gloriously sorrowful three minutes.

American Artists and the Legacy of the Grand Tour, 1880-1960

June 15 – august 26, 2017.

the grand tour the american

In a historical sense, the Grand Tour was a seventeenth- to eighteenth-century phenomenon in which the young, usually male and aristocratic, members of English and Northern European families visited great cities and societies of the European continent. It was an educational trip, meant largely for cultural exposure and refinement. Art was central to this travel in a number of ways, from visiting masterpieces of painting and architecture, to commissioning portraits, buying art to bring home, and engaging an artist for the journey who would paint the sublime beauty of each destination. This exhibition explores a time from approximately 1880 to 1960 when American artists endeavored to follow in the footsteps of this tradition and trek to Europe for a variety of reasons: study and opportunities to exhibit, illustration on commission, war, and leisure. At the center of their journeys was also the goal of education, for themselves through the process of travel and study and for others through the skills, cultural enlightenment, and artwork they would bring home. The works included in the exhibition represent a range of media, from printmaking to painting, and the work documents the architecture, scenery, and people of Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Greece, England, and France as the artists saw them.

American Artists and the Legacy of the Grand Tour, 1880–1960 is organized by the Vanderbilt University Fine Arts Gallery and curated by Margaret F. M. Walker, assistant curator, with support provided by the Fine Arts Gallery Gift Fund and the Sullivan Art Collection Fund.

The Grand Tour’s fate ‘revealed’ after Jeremy Clarkson’s exit in final episode

Jeremy Clarkson

The Grand Tour has reportedly been given a huge lifeline, with plans to develop a fresh version without Jeremy Clarkson .

The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host, 63, and his co-stars Richard Hammond and James May have filmed their final special of the Amazon Prime series, after it was revealed in November that it was coming to an end.

The trio, who first hit our screens together in 2003 on  Top Gear , announced their exit from the series in November last year, however, it could be coming back with a fresh presenting team.

According to reports, Studio Lambert – the production company who brought us The Traitors and Squid Game: The Challenge – has landed the contract to develop a fresh version of the motoring show.

An ‘update to the format’ is being prepped with new presenting talent, although has not been formally greenlit, Broadcast claims.

Clarkson, Hammond and May first launched the series in 2016, with their penultimate episode The Sand Job having aired earlier this year following a trip to Mauritania, and a final in Zimbabwe yet to reach our screens.

As the news of The Grand Tour coming to a grinding halt was announced in November, it was said to be ‘the end of an era’.

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May

A source revealed at the time: ‘It’s a surprising decision and everyone realises it very much marks the end of an era for the three presenters.

‘The Grand Tour is one of Prime Video’s most watched shows and Jeremy, James and Richard have a devoted following.’

The insider continued to  The Sun : ‘But the guys have made no bones about the fact they’re all advancing in years and they have lots of other projects to pursue.

‘They just felt like the time was right and wanted to go out on a high when the show remained popular.’

But, it may not be the end of Clarkson, Hammond, 54, and May, 61, on our screens together.

Richard Hammond, Jeremy Clarkson and James May

When asked if they’d reunite on another project, May said: ‘I wouldn’t rule it out, but you do have to bear in mind that we’re all getting on a bit.

‘We’ve got two (episodes) in the bag, there’s one coming out very soon, and another coming out a bit after that, but what happens between now and then we’ll have to wait and see.’

Clarkson also spoke about The Grand Tour ending and branded himself ‘unfit, fat and old’ when speaking about why he was done with the ‘immensely physical’ show.

‘I’ve driven cars higher than anyone else and further north than anyone else,’ he told The Times.

‘We’ve done everything you can do with a car.

‘When we had meetings about what to do next, people just threw their arms in the air.’

Richard Hammond, Jeremy Clarkson and James May

The future of The Grand Tour was thrown into doubt following Clarkson’s vile comments in a newspaper column about Meghan Markle  in January 2023, in which the broadcaster said he dreamed of the Duchess being paraded through the streets and publicly shamed.

It became Ipso’s most complained-about article after its publication, receiving more than 25,100 complaints, with Clarkson later issuing a lengthy apology to the Suits actress and her husband Prince Harry, and claims emerged that  Amazon reportedly ‘parted ways’ with him .

Meanwhile, Clarkson’s adventures at his Diddly Squat farm will continue to air on Amazon Prime for season four, while the third instalment of Clarkson’s Farm premieres next month.

Metro.co.uk has approached Studio Lambert for comment.

The Grand Tour is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.

Zendaya's 'Challengers' press tour looks are a grand slam

The actress has been serving "tennis fashion queen" vibes.

Zendaya's " Challengers " press tour looks have continued to be a grand glam.

While the actress has been wearing mostly tennis-inspired looks, her latest look served a stylish mix of sheer lace meets ballgown. For Tuesday's Los Angeles premiere, she wore a black and pink Vera Wang gown that included an alluring bodice-style top along with a voluminous skirt.

The look was paired with Bulgari stud earrings, a ballerina bun, and soft sweeps of pink blush and lipstick.

Following the Los Angeles premiere, Zendaya was back in her tenniscore style as she wore a neon green halter dress from Celia Kritharioti that had a tennis ball attached at the center.

Just a few days before, she wore a crisp white vintage Ralph Lauren dress that was originally worn by Cindy Crawford on the runway in the early '90s.

She wore a similar look from a day earlier in Monaco that was created by On and a recreation of one of iconic tennis star Althea Gibson's past looks, according to Zendaya's go-to stylist Law Roach .

Zendaya was photographed during a photocall in Monaco wearing a very tennis-y look that incorporated a white cable knit collared sweater, a tailored maxi skirt, and satin pumps from Brunello Cucinelli's fall/winter ready-to-wear collection.

PHOTO: Zendaya is photographed during the 'Challengers' photocall at the Monte-Carlo Masters, Apr. 13, 2024, in Monaco.

During the London premiere of the "Challengers" last week, the actress wore a white halter dress with a pleated skirt, which included a high slit.

The gown, which was custom-made by designer Thom Browne, had silhouettes of tennis rackets printed all over the dress and a netting material on the skirt, as well as a red and dark blue stripe across the bottom of the skirt.

Zendaya completed the elevated athletic look with a white bow in her hair, diamond earrings, a diamond bracelet, and a red lip.

Also, during a photocall in Rome earlier last week, the " Challengers " star was photographed wearing a dazzling metallic mini dress from Loewe that included a deep-V plunging neckline.

While the dress was a total score, it was the actress' custom white pumps that included tennis ball heels that were really a hit.

Along with her head-turning ensemble, Zendaya paired the look with several bangles and stud earrings. She wore her hair in a half-up half-down flipped-out style.

"Tennis but make it FASHION," said the actress' longtime stylist Law Roach alongside a post showing off her look.

The former Disney star's look is a nod to her "Challengers" character Tashi — a former tennis prodigy turned coach.

According to an official synopsis, the film, slated to release on April 26, centers around Zendaya's character Tashi, who is working to train her husband (Faist), a tennis champion on a losing streak, when they face off against his former best friend — who also happens to be Tashi's ex-boyfriend.

In March, Zendaya wore another look that paid tribute to her character while attending an Australian premiere of the upcoming movie. She was photographed wearing a shimmering green Loewe dress that included a deep-V neckline, thigh-high slit, and a silhouette of a person holding a tennis racket. The look was designed by Jonathan Anderson, Loewe's creative director.

Dawn of the Dead @ Grand Illusion Cinema

The greatest zombie movie 🧟

“ Dawn of the Dead  is, for my money at least (and I know for many others!),  the greatest zombie movie ever made ,” says Grand Illusion Cinema lead programmer Trevor Brandt. Count me in as one of the faithful. I’ll also offer that it’s  the best movie set at a mall . (As in movies where a mall is its main setting as opposed to ones having major sequences set at a mall; otherwise, I’ll just talk your ear off about  Clueless  for weeks.)

But why now? It’s not just that George Romero’s whip-smart and imperatively violent consumerism satire, about a band of survivors building  a mini-society in a shopping center  as chaos rages on in the world outside its walls, remains frustratingly relevant well into the new century. Nay, this  brand-new restoration  is making its way around theaters in celebration of 45 years since its North American premiere in Pittsburgh. And save for an occasional Fathom Event, the movie has been unavailable to book for years.

Since the Grand Illusion prides itself on a stream of  cult film revivals  mixed in with their modern arthouse fare, the booking fits nicely into the theater’s  20th Anniversary Celebration Series  in honor of two full decades as a volunteer-run nonprofit organization. And in even more fun horror flick news, they’ll be showing Romero’s  The Crazies  a week earlier, roughly the same time Northwest Film Forum screens  Creepshow , making a semi-formal  “Romero Roundup” series  between the two indie houses.

Abbie Eaton On The Grand Tour ‘American’ Driver: “He Was Destined To Fail”

I recently talked to Abbie Eaton on the Sung’s Garage podcast where I alongside Sung Kang, interview industry specialists. In this episode, we were joined by Abbie, and another racing driver by the name of Jorge Calado with both presenters discussing their new show Track Mode that’s being hosted on the Carfection YouTube channel. In the interview, we got onto the subject of The Grand Tour , and the conversation eventually made its way onto The American, who drove for The Grand Tour on their test track, the Eboladrome .

Similarly to The Stig for Top Gear , The American would perform laps in cars around the Eboladrome for a leaderboard, but with the script calling for an overly American caricature, fans quickly decided they weren’t fans of this decision.

Abbie commented on how she felt about The American, saying the following:

“I think he was destined to fail, to be honest especially with UK viewers, I think probably it was setup that The Grand Tour is owned by Amazon, which is an American company and they wanted to just give it an American injection of humour.

“But as Brits were like like, ‘oh, goodness gracious me.'”

the grand tour the american

I mentioned the fact that a lot of what he said was scripted, in which Abbie replied, “he’s a really really really nice guy.”

Abbie, who drove for The Grand Tour for two seasons before the show began to only focus on specials, continues in the interview to note what is was like to drive for a film crew over competitive driving:

“It’s a similar kind of pressure, but it’s more done on one lap, shootout type things, and making sure you get the shot first time.

“I mean, you don’t have to do it in a lot of things, you know, they’ll want the shot a million times to get a couple of different angles from it.

the grand tour the american

She continues to tell me that she’s the kind of person who will want to nail it first time.

“You’ll give it your all, do it, and then they’ll tweak it a little bit and stuff like that.

“How the laps are filmed is… I’ll end up doing a few practice laps, then, we’ve got to get two or three laps that are within a tenth of each other so that it’s a legit time and we’ll know that I haven’t fluked it and that kind of stuff.

“And once we get the laps in, then we’ll do some shots for the camera roll to be put together for the film.

“So we’ll see stuff where, in the feature, the cars will be drifting or it’ll be a cool slow-mo of the car and tracking of the car and stuff like that.

“That stuff again is really exciting to do and I love it, I absolutely love doing it and it’s a different kind of reward from doing that as opposed to racing and winning a race, but it’s all part of the same automotive fire that you keep fuelling.”
