Splendour of Sri Lanka - ( 8 Days and 7 Nights tour in Sri Lanka )

The best trip I’ve ever been on! The 8 days were filled with amazing sites and experiences. The highlights of the trip for me were the elephant safari, lion rock, botanical gardens, Ella train and the snake farm (was hard to narrow down). I feel like we saw and learnt so much about Sri Lanka and I’d love to do it all again. Our tour guide was Nishantha. He is incredibly knowledgeable about all the nature and history of Sri Lanka. He was also a really lovely and friendly person. We felt he went out of his way to make sure everything we wanted from the trip happened. I would highly recommend him to anybody wanting to do this trip. 5 stars all round from me and my partner. If you book this holiday have a lovely time.

This tour was excellent. It provided us with so much information about Sri Lanka and we were able to immerse ourselves in the language, culture and community through a variety of experiences. The food, accommodation and travel was terrific the guides, especially Eliza were wonderful. I would highly recommend it.

Ayurveda Sri Lanka - 7 Days

I really enjoyed the ayurveda tour, which I customised to do some sight-seeing as well. Mr. Lal went out of his way to make the tour memorable, driving for over 10 hours on some days so that I could see as much as possible, and get a good dive into the Sri Lankan culture, cuisine and lifestyle.

Sri Lanka Encompassed

It’s hard to rate this tour average but it was, maybe it was just not the best fit for me. I would have liked to see more of the archeological sites and see more historic places. The guide was ok but just didn’t seem to connect with the group. I don’t think that was him but more the group was just bad. Sri Lanka was fantastic and a must see country and yes I will go back again one day and yes G-Adventures is a great touring option.

Sri Lanka Off The Beaten Path

A good way to see a lot of the country; our driver, Cami, was very careful and looked after us well, some of the journeys were long but we stopped for sights and breaks at waterfalls, temples etc to break up the journey. Some super hotels, Palms and Forest Edge were the most enjoyable. Enjoyed the food and stop offs for "street" food on the drives. Lots of memories to take away and we were well looked after by BH Lanka

So it's only fair I start this review by praising how amazing our driver and tour guide Nishantha (Nish) Was. he made us feel so comfortable throughout our entire tour, he was very knowledgeable about all the places we visited and really went out of his way to make sure we were happy with what we had done each day. He was always on time and we felt very safe with his driving as you may or may not know drivers and tuk tuks in Sri Lanka are pretty crazy and Nish was very relaxed and in total control. He also took us to places that weren't on the schedule which he called Nish's highlights and he seemed to know everyone lol and everyone seemed to really like him which made us feel entirely safe. On our last day for drop off at our hotel that we had booked not through the tour company and the hotel was to say the least not very welcoming and dirty so Nish drove us to a new hotel which we knew with no quibble and sorted out on our behalf with the hotel for none payment. We feel we've made a friend in Nish and will definitely us him again whenever we return to Sri Lanka. So onto the hotels, each hotel was clean and the food was good no upset stomachs which was good, we opted for the moderate hotels package and we booked quite late so some of the original hotels that were quoted were full but beauty Lanka travels found some very nice alternatives The only issue we probably would say was that the hotels were very quiet with no evening entertainment but to be honest we were quite tired each night so we would chill in our room after dinner. In fact one hotel we stayed at we were the only 2 people in the whole hotel staying there but the whole staff made us feel very special and the food was amazing. So now On to the tour itinerary and company itself to be honest I can't fault beauty Lanka travels for what they provided the attractions where varied and well spread out, each day was definitely full and you can adjust anything you want or don't want to do Me and my wife really wanted to see and do the ambuluwawa tower (which we highly recommend) so Nish just cut out another part of the tour to accommodate so we could To make you aware the tour is quite tiring as it's quite early starts and late finishes And you are checking in and out of hotels every day so you dont really get to use the hotel facilities much. If we was to do another tour we would prob have it so we have break days especially at Ella ( which is lovely) and the last stop at the beach resort But overall very good company to deal with and they provided everything that was offered. Turtle Conservation Volunteer in Sri Lanka

If you’re considering going to Sri Lanka, definetely do it! I had the best 9 weeks of my life there, and have made so many amazing friends and had so many amazing experiences. I was supposed to stay with PlanMyGapYear in Sri Lanka for six weeks, but ended up extending for three more weeks because I found it so amazing there. And if I hadn’t already made plans after that, I would have extended for even longer. Everyone comes to PMGY with an open mind and is ready to make new friends and experiences. Not to say that the local team in Sri Lanka is amazing. They do everything in their power to make you feel welcome and happy, from several afternoon activities during the week to checking if you’re okay if they sense that something is wrong. The local team practically becomes family while you’re there, and they do so much to let you into their culture and everyday life. The projects in Sri Lanka are very well-organised, and I woke up and really wanted to go to project every day. I can especially recommend the turtle project, but from what I have heard from everyone else who was there during my nine weeks, all of the projects are amazing. PMGY Sri Lanka also has a lot of different projects to offer, so if you’re not loving the project that you originally chose, you can always switch to another volunteering project. I am definitely gonna go back to my second home in Sri Lanka, and I would recommend everyone to go and get an experience of a lifetime with PMGY Sri Lanka.

What people love about Sri Lanka Tours from Colombo

I 100% recommend Beauty Lanka for Sri Lanka tours but our guide, Indika was what made it special and brought the trip to life. The tour itinerary was exactly what I was looking for and each day was filled with the perfect amount of touring. I was looking for a tour that was closer to the week mark (not 2-3 weeks like a lot of other itineraries) that included both Sigiriya and Yala. This did mean that every night was in a different hotel which can be a little tiresome, but worth it so we could see so much of this beautiful country. Regarding hotels, we upgraded from the basic hotels that are included to the 4 star option. Each hotel was great, all were clean and had comfortable beds, wifi and air conditioning. The hotel in Ella was still under construction so no lift to get up to the 6th floor and all the amenities were in a neighbouring hotel including breakfast and dinner. I was a little sick of stairs by the end of that night! But the staff were so kind and the view out of the balcony across Ella was so lovely. The stand out hotel was the Oak Ray Tea Bush Ramboda. Stunning hotel, incredible view, fantastic shower which also had a view and the staff were so so so lovely. 10/10! Save the best for last, our guide, Indika. Thank you so much for a wonderful time. We always felt safe and looked after. You are so knowledgeable and clearly have a passion for what you do and that is a pleasure to see. We will cherish the memories of the excitement when we saw our first leopard and laughing until we cried at the fish spa with you. I honestly hope we get to meet again. To anyone considering this trip, do it. I’m sure all the guides are great but I hope you get my friend, Indika.
