During this tour you will enjoy an unforgettable evening thanks to a candlelit dinner aboard a Venetian galleon , following a panoramic itinerary along Venice’s canals and the islands of the lagoon . After boarding, the staff will accompany you to your reserved table , with a choice of main deck, stern or bow, and will offer you a nice aperitif with extra dry Prosecco DOC . The cuisine of the chef of the Venice galleon will captivate you with its finesse, thanks to a menu mainly based on fish , prepared with fresh and seasonal ingredients. But if you prefer a meat or vegetarian choice , or you have a food allergy or intolerance , you can notify this in your reservation: the chef will prepare the menu that best suits your needs. Itinerary You can choose whether to start from the shores of the Venice pier, in front of the Naval Museum , or from Punta Sabbioni pier, near Jesolo . The excursion aboard the Venice galleon begins by sailing towards the north side of the lagoon : you will admire Le Vignole, Sant'Erasmo, San Francesco del Deserto, Burano, Torcello, Mazzorbo and Murano in breathtaking views and picture-postcard vistas. Returning to Venice, the ship skirts the Arsenale and the small islands of Santa Maria delle Grazie and San Giorgio , to then head towards the Giudecca Canal and finish the tour with a magnificent glimpse of St Mark’s bay and its ancient palaces. Disembarkation is at the same landing in front of the Naval Museum or at Punta Sabbioni. The galleon of Venice The Venetian galleons are the typical boats of the Republic of Venice, used between 1600 and 1800 for military purposes and to transport goods and valuables. Thanks to the catering service, bar and restaurant, they are suitable for hosting all kinds of events , from boat excursions to business meetings and private parties. They have full accessibility for disabled people . In every season of the year, the Venetian galleon offers you maximum comfort for your dinner on a boat in Venice: in summer a PVC cover will provide shelter against rain, while in winter the panoramic windows, the insulated cover and the heating system keep the inside temperature at around 23° C.

• Choose whether to depart from Venice or Punta Sabbioni by selecting the departure time corresponding to the boarding point in the 'Book now' box. You can also request to embark or disembark only at Punta Sabbioni in the 'Tour Preferences’ field.  
• Carefully choose in which area to book your table. The main deck has a panoramic view; stern and bow seating is inside the boat. The view is limited to small windows at the stern, while the bow is the most private area of the boat from where you cannot see the outside, as it has two small portholes at the top. The tables at the bow and at the stern have 4 seats so separate couples could be accommodated at the same table (the tables are large enough to allow each couple to have their own privacy).  
• The menu is mainly based on fish and varies according to the season. If you prefer a meat or vegetarian choice, or you have a food allergy or intolerance, you can specify this in your reservation: the chef will prepare the menu that best suits your needs. The boat is wheelchair accessible.  
• Once your booking is confirmed, download the voucher that will also be sent to you via email. You will need to show it at the meeting point, either printed on paper or on your smartphone .  
• Locate in advance the meeting point to avoid arriving late especially in the event of strikes, demonstrations or bad weather: we cannot guarantee you any refund (in full or in part) if you do not present yourself at the meeting point at the specified time or if you decide to leave the experience before the end. If you need assistance, feel free to contact us at the emergency contacts shown in the reservation voucher!
• The booking confirmation is subject to the availability of the venue. Departure is guaranteed with minimum 8 participants.  
• The navigation route may be subject to change in case of adverse local conditions or other factors at the discretion of the Captain.  
• The tour will also take place in case of bad weather.  
• Boarding times must be adhered to and the organization reserves the right to cancel the reservation if customers arrive at the departure point later than the specified time.  
• This is a shared tour, so the participation of other people who have booked it is to be expected.  
• The timetable may be subject to changes according to the laws of the Italian Government currently in force. In case of changes, you will be informed. If there are time restrictions/curfews and similar the Galleon will make the necessary adjustments accordingly.
• Free cancellation, or change of date, up to 72 hours prior to the time of the dinner.  
• No refund with cancellations made within 72 hours prior to the time of the dinner.

A galleon , elegantly equipped to enjoy, placé by candlelight, the panorama of islands and canals of the Lagoon combining the unique scenery of Venice with traditional and refined flavors, presented with flair by the on-board Chef. This is the sailing experience offered by the Venetian Galleon that can be booked for an evening journey with dinner through the Lagoon enveloped by the warm and elegant atmosphere of the galleon that glides silently and romantically to the most well-known islands around Venice.

The deck of the galleon is a privileged position to enjoy the evening enchantment of St. Mark’s Square, the Venetian skyline and the islands of the lagoon, which will follow one by one lending themselves as an evocative backdrop for dinner. A small luxury to be indulged not only in summer, but 12 months of the year: in fact, in the winter period the boat is equipped with a thermal enclosure structure with large panoramic windows and is heated.

ARTICLE CONTINUES AFTER ADVERTISEMENT

As evening arrives, the galleon will drop anchor to head little by little inland in the northern lagoon, skirting all the islands, from the minor ones such as Sant’Erasmo, San Francesco del Deserto and le Vignole, to the most famous and characteristic ones: Burano, Mazzorbo, Murano and Torcello. Tasting the specialties expertly prepared by the Chef on board, also touching with the eye the Arsenale, Santa Maria delle Grazie, San Giorgio, Giudecca and, of course, St. Mark’s Square, in a roundabout of lights reflecting on the water.

The tasting menu, with a choice of fish, meat or vegetarian, varies according to the season, so as to always enhance the taste and flavor of the ingredients. Private parties, weddings, business meetings, incentives and corporate dinners are also held in the galleons.

A candlelit Dinner Cruise in the lagoon of Venice – Italian food and wine under the stars!

 The Venetian Galleon will be waiting docked on the shore of the Venice wharf in front of the Museo Navale where the crew will be ready to welcome you on board and take you to the reserved tables where you will be served a pleasant welcoming cocktail. At the first lights of the evening, the Galleon will slowly start moving off towards the north part of the lagoon sailing alongside Arsenale and Le Vignole. You will savour the specialties prepared by the Chef whilst sailing towards Murano and Mazzorbo, moving on to circumnavigate Burano with its characteristic coloured houses and its leaning bell tower. Sailing back towards Saint Mark’s basin, the Galleon will reach the islands of San Francesco Del Deserto, Sant’Erasmo and San Giorgio. The Galleon will then head towards Venice and, while sailing alongside the Canal of Giudecca, you will see a breathtaking view of Saint Mark’s basin and of the historical palaces and hotels of the ancient city. Once arrived at the landing point in front of the Museo Navale, with a last glance at Venice, we will say goodbye to you.

Availability as follows:

• June 1 to September 15: embarkation at 8:30pm - disembarkation at about 11:30pm
• September 16 to May 31: embarkation at 8:00pm - disembarkation at about 11:00pm

Please note : Dinner is guaranteed when there are 8 participants and will take place even in case of bad weather as the Galleon is equipped with a covering structure and heating.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: due to the large quantity of requests, your order cannot and must not be considered confirmed until receiving the confirmation voucher; any reservation is subject to reconfirmation according to availability.

* At the time of booking, the customer must choose the location of the table: center deck, from where there is a full view of the lagoon, or bow/stern. Please note that in the prow/stern area tables are set up for 4 seats, so couples could be aggregated according to availability (tables are big enough to allow each couple their own privacy)

• Any variations to the current menu, due to intolerance, allergies or other requirements, must be notified to our office at least 48 hours in advance. Please confirm if you prefer the fish, meat or vegetarian alternative. If it is not specified, the fish menu will be served.
• The boat is also suitable for the differently-abled people.
• Free cancellation or possibility to change date up to 72 hours before the event.
• No money will be refunded for cancellations in the 72 hours before the event.
• Non-participation in the event due to the late arrival of a client will not result in money being refunded.
• In case of cancellation of the event by the organizing company due to technical reasons like breakdowns, or the conditions of the weather or sea, closure of ports as a result of orders of the competent authorities and/or due to force majeure beyond the control of the Captain or the management (with the exclusion of the client), the company will offer the opportunity to book in the future or will refund the money received.
• If it will not be possible to leave the dock to start the sailing or to continue the sailing, after the boarding of the guests and/or after the beginning of the event/dinner, due to technical reasons like breakdowns, the conditions of the weather or sea, the closing of harbour due to order of the competent authority and/or due to force majeure beyond the control of the Captain or the management, no money will be refunded.
• The route may vary depending on environmental conditions or other factors, at the unchallengeable judgement of the Captain.
• All passengers aboard the Galleon are covered by third party civil liability insurance, under current law.
• The only travel document valid for entry is the voucher received upon confirmation of booking. We accept electronic vouchers.

Galleon Dinner Cruise in Venice | WEEKENDinITALY

The Venetian Galleon will be waiting for you docked on the shore of the Venice wharf in front of the Naval Museum ( Museo Navale ). The crew will welcome you on board and take you to the reserved tables where you will be served a delicious welcome cocktail. Romantic candlelight, elegantly laid tables, careful yet unobtrusive service, and the charm of a boat from times long past complete the overall appeal of an unforgettable dinner in the seductive atmosphere of the Venetian lagoon.


As the last rays of the sun disappear on the horizon, the Galleon will slowly start moving off towards the northern part of the lagoon with its mysterious canals. Reflecting the stars in the sky, the succession of smaller islands appear one by one. You will savor the specialties prepared by our chef whilst sailing past the green islands of Sant’Erasmo, and San Francesco del Deserto.

You will then sail towards the Arsenale, passing the islands of Le Vignole and of Murano, well-known throughout the world for the delicate masterpieces created by its glassmakers. Your voyage through the lagoon by night continues toward Mazzorbo and Burano with its brightly colored houses.

The Galleon will then slowly head back towards Venice and, while sailing the Canal of the Giudecca, you will be welcomed back by a breathtaking view of San Giorgio island, Saint Mark’s basin and of the historical palaces and hotels of the ancient city.


After a last glance at the beauty of Venice by night, we will arrive at the landing point in front of the Museo Navale , hoping to have made your stay in this splendid city even more magical.

The candlelight, the elegant tables, a fine and well-finished service, and the charm of a boat of other times will be the perfect setting of your wonderful evening out, for an unforgettable dinner immersed in the magic of the Venetian Lagoon. At dusk, the Galleon will slowly leave shore and head into the northern lagoon, with its mysterious canals, while the minor islands such as Sant’Erasmo and San Francesco del Deserto reveal themselves to you one after another.

Views of Venice

During dinner, you will taste a variety of delightful specialties prepared by the Chef on board while you sail towards the Venetian Arsenal and then past the islands of Vignole, Mazzorbo and Murano, known worldwide for its glasswork masterpieces. You will then circumnavigate Burano, famous for its picturesque, colorful houses and the Leaning Bell Tower.

Then sail back to the San Marco basin and past the island of San Giorgio, where you can admire the lights reflecting on the water. Afterward, the Galleon will head on to Venice and the cruise will offer you a spectacular view of the San Marco basin. Once arrived at the landing-place in front of the Museo Navale, you will disembark and, with a last glimpse of Venice, the Galleon will sail slowly away.

At the time of booking you are asked to choose the position of the table:

• The Central Deck has panoramic windows and during the tour you will enjoy a fantastic view of the Venetian Lagoon.
• The Prow/Stern areas offer a more intimate atmosphere. On the prow, there are only two small portholes at the top and there is no view on the outside. The stern is connected to the kitchen/bar and has small windows for a partial view of the outside.
• In the Prow/Stern area the tables are for 4 people and, depending on the availability, couples might be seated at one shared table (however, the tables are big enough to guarantee each couple privacy).

Galleon Dinner Cruise in Venice

Come on board the Venetian Galleon for a tasty candlelight dinner while sailing among the quiet water of Venice and its lagoon. A 3 hours cruise to discover the typical Venetian flavours and the charm of the islands: tasting the delicate dishes carefully cooked by the Chef on board, the slow sailing of the galleon will offer you a breathtaking seascape of the islands of the Venetian lagoon.

Leaving the dock of Venice, you will slowly sail towards the north part of the lagoon hugging the coast of Mazzorbo, with its cypress row, and of Burano, island with the characteristic coloured houses, to head again towards Murano, famous all over the world for the masterpieces of the glass blower, recognizable by the furnaces that you can see in the islands where, if you take a closer look, you will see through the windows the flames of burning fires.

Dinner on board will continue with a panoramic tour in Saint Mark’s basin during which you will see, among all the wonders, the Redeemer Church, the basilica Santa Maria Della Salute, Punta della Dogana and, in front of the unique seascape of Venice and Saint Mark’s square, that you will admire from a privileged point of view on board the Venetian Galleon, dessert will be served.

This is the standard fish menu of the dinner. If you don't like it, while booking, choose between a meat menu or a vegetarian menu.

Food was great (we had seafood menu), lots of different courses, also served plenty of drinks and some wonderful sights during nighttime in Venice. Was about 8 courses and they were big portions. The ship took us around the lagoon up to Burano and back. Was particularly nice outside the Doge's palace near the end of the trip, as the lights were turned down and romantic music played. The ship turned around so that guests sat on both sides of the ship had a lovely view. Make a note of sunset times as we set off after sunset, so the views weren't as good as they would have been as was too dark. Still saw some lovely sights where buildings were lit up. But they must have changed the menu because it’s all gross , slimy flavorless , not even warm dishes that I couldn’t eat …and I’m the type of letdown who will eat just about anything! First course was a nasty little raw shrimp — that made my stomach churn . And my friend was served raw beef ( carpaccio) . Some slimy mushy stuff that looked like farina breakfast cereal . We took 2 bites of the fish and beef dishes .. zero flavor , and not hot . So we thought .. ok at least there’s desert — we’ll the tirimasu was equally gross. The food standard was below airline food. So enjoy the boat ride — especially on top ! But EAT someplace else !!! No buffet style Served . Best arrive hungry as the 5 courses feels more like 10 courses, there is alot of food. Superbly cooked and presented. Beautiful music, candlelight and cruising around Venice under a starlit sky with the moon illuminating the lagoons and canals. A bottle of champagne and wine is included in your package too. Great views from the bow and stern decks , which are still accessible with the cover in colder months. Recommend paying the extra money to sit on the main deck . The bow and stern are more private, but lack the same views you get from the main deck. Boat leaves at 20h00 and returns by 22h15 ish . We were warned our seats were in the stern and might have a restricted view. The opposite was true the view was amazing. It was a little chilly and when the sun went in difficult to see the food! The food was amazing. All the courses were delicious. The wine was also lovely and the waiter service was efficient and polite (a novelty for eating in Venice). I was browsing and found this dinner, we love a dinner cruise and have done them in a few different places, so I booked quite last minute. Unfortunately it rained the whole day in Venice and although we enjoyed the places we visited we were cold, damp and too far from the hotel to go and change, we didn’t hold out much hope our evening would get any better. How wrong we were, it was a perfect evening, the rain stopped so we could go up top and enjoy the views and the poop deck so cosy and comfortable, perfect to relax and enjoy dinner. We changed to the meat menu as I’m not a big fish lover, I would suggest emailing in advance just in case! We were greeted by a bottle of prosecco and a couple of little starters, we have a lovely meal a bottle of wine and the service was faultless, attentive but not intrusive. I can only say it was excellent and excellent value for money . The aperitivo drinks on arrival were flowing, then followed by a 5 course meal, of an extremely high standard , attention to detail all the way . All our special requests were met and in order . The staff were helpful, it was an awesome experience. Our glasses were topped up without asking , the galleon was very authentic . Sadly the fog prevented the boat from sailing and leaving the harbour , however we all still had a wonderful time and the ripples of tides gave us the feeling we were sailing and at sea.. The only advice I would suggest to improve the experience is - if you arrival early and its cold outside , you have to wait on the keyside before embarking the Galleon , Thats it !
