Running Horse Ranch nestles in a remote, mountainous wilderness, at Angeles National Forest. We’re located a bit more than one hour away from world-famous Hollywood in Los Angeles, California.

Discover rugged mountain trails by spectacular views, trot through a stormy desert, or head to the ocean. Riders can choose from one of our relaxing one-day riding adventure tours, or buckle up and endeavor a week-long journey, exploring a part of the good old Wild West- here in the USA!

All riding tours are customized to insure for each rider an exceptional experience- no big groups. We take only out one party at a time, with exception if we truly know that both unknown parties can truly ride.

Cross Country Trail Rides in California for experienced, accomplished Riders

Possibilities for some fast pace, with technique challenges for fit, experienced, seasoned and balanced equestrians riders ! Our well trained horses offer our guests plenty of endurance to provide an unforgettable riding experience!

We use mostly the legendary Mustang , Arabians , and  Thorobreds, which are sure footed athletes, cooperative, and most importantly people friendly.

Beginner rider’s, which means everyone with 500 hours or less in the saddle (Pony camp, some riding experience in the past while maybe on a dude ranch vacation) still enjoy a scenic cross country ride while out on our challenging obstacle course, and network of trails right at the ranch. Liebe Daniela! Unsere Erwartungen, vom Aufenthalt auf einer Ranch wurden übertroffen! Unsere Ausritte waren für mich ein besonderes Erlebnis, da ich ein neues künstliches Huftgelenk habe. Dasani war ein Engel auf dem Trail- super weiche Gangarten, und auch im Gebiss. Kein zerren und ziehen am Zügel! Die atemberaubenden Aussichten, Euer Trailnetz auf der Ranch ist was sehr besonderes- nicht der typische eintönige Trail, wie man Ihn von den Ausritten so kennt!  Ich habe durch Dich gelernt das man auch mit einem künstlichen Hüftgelenk reiten kann. Der Bungalow ist urgemütlich, wie sagt man so schön klein- aber fein, auf dem Porch zu sitzen und in die Natur zu schauen mit Padamay an meiner Seite hat uns Entspannungen und Ruhe gebracht. Experience ATV rental Orange County in an unforgettable off-roading adventure as you and your group follow the tour guide on a 19-to-42 mile tour through the Mojave Desert's wildly diverse terrain.  We are located in Helendale California, but nearby counties include Orange County, Los Angeles County, San Bernardino County, San Diego County, & Riverside County.  

Drive some of Can Am's most extreme off-roading vehicles during the day OR at night!  These off-road vehicles are commonly known as Side-By-Sides or UTVs (and provide much more protection and safety than a traditional ATV). 

Our popular Jackrabbit Tour comes with 19, 25, or 42 mile options. Don't expect flat dirt trails for this tour.  Riding ATV rental Orange County California, Anticipate twists and turns, ups & downs, and uneven terrain with loose or hard packed sand.  Fauna seen on this tour include: lizards, squirrels, jackrabbits, snakes, desert tortoises, and foxes (from most to least common).  We can accommodate group sizes from 1 to 9 people.  Day or Night tours available.

If you have a little more time, our Kramer Hills Tour is quite an experience.  Similar to our Jackrabbit Tour in regards to the variety of terrain and fauna, this tour also includes many Joshua Trees and a few small mountain climbs.  One of the mountain climbs has a 3,350 foot elevation with an incredible view.  This tour is currently available for 2-3 people max and is only available during the day.  

We use the latest technology from Sena, the 30K headset.  These headsets let you have a real-time intercom experience with everyone on the tour even if they are in a separate vehicle.  Helmets are equipped with built-in sunglasses for bright, mid-day tours.

Through the real-time intercom, our tour guides can alert drivers of upcoming terrain and obstacles to help promote an accident-free ATV rental Orange County experience.

Side-by-sides have multiple Go-Pro mounts installed for different viewpoints.  Bring your own GoPro or rent one from us!
