Beyonce's highly anticipated Vector Arena show in October is shaping as the priciest concert of the year.

Top price for tickets to her Auckland show will be $249.90 for the platinum section with gold general admission on the floor starting at $189.90 and cheap seats going for $99.

That's more expensive than the prices commanded by rock veterans Fleetwood Mac. Their November concerts at the same venue cost between $99 and $199 (with tickets-with-album bundles as high as $223.50) and the band is also offering various VIP packages which will have super-fans forking out as much as $950.

Spring is shaping as a mammoth run for visiting international pop acts in Auckland with One Direction ($99-$129), Rihanna ($99-$139), Justin Bieber ($102-$152) and Taylor Swift ($111-152) all playing multiple nights at Vector Arena. Some of those acts also have top-tier VIP packages, with Rihanna's the most expensive at $550.

Tickets for Beyonce's October 18 show in Auckland go on sale tomorrow via her website before becoming available through livenation.co.nz and ticketmaster from Monday.

Her Mrs Carter Show world tour follows the birth of her first child last year.

She could play a two- or three-night run in Auckland.

Vector Arena's ticketing agency Ticketmaster charges a further $10.75 in fees on each ticket.

New Zealand trailer and release date for Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé

Flicks

If you missed Beyoncé’s world tour in support of her seventh studio album, Renaissance (and let’s face it, most of us did) now’s your chance to catch it in a venue with no toilet queues.

When is Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé being released in New Zealand ?

Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé hits New Zealand cinemas on December 1.

Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé

Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé

What is renaissance: a film by beyoncé about.

Much like Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (and running a mere 60 seconds shorter at 168 minutes), Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé is a concert film, with performance footage interspersed with candid behind the scenes footage.

As the official synopsis tells us, “ Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé accentuates the journey of Renaissance World Tour, from its inception, to the opening in Stockholm, Sweden, to the finale in Kansas City, Missouri. It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft. Received with extraordinary acclaim, Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour created a sanctuary for freedom, and shared joy, for more than 2.7 million fans.”

That’s not the correct use of “accentuates”, though. Somebody got paid a lot to write that.

Why we’re excited about Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé

A casual perusal of ticket prices indicates that we are never, ever seeing Beyoncé live, but catching one of the best performers on the planet on a honking great screen strikes us as a much more likely proposition. It seems that we’re entering a golden age of concert films if Taylor Swift’s last offering is any indication, so if Beyoncé’s movie rakes it in at box office—and let’s be real here, it will—expect a lot more of these going forward.

Everything We Learned from Night One of Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour

Beyoncé Renaissance World Tour Opening Night - Stockholm

I t’s the moment everyone’s been waiting for: Beyoncé finally kicked off her Renaissance World Tour in Stockholm, Sweden , Wednesday night. This comes close to a year after the release of her seventh album, RENAISSANCE , a period during which she has rarely acknowledged the album with interviews or public performances of the new music, nor put out any music videos to accompany the songs. Nonetheless, the BeyHive was still buzzing with excitement on social media as they shared clips of the stage, the merchandise, the view from different VIP sections, and, most importantly, the artist performing the songs live for the first time.

Beyoncé is gearing up for a second night at the Friends Arena in Stockholm. As she gets ready to hit the stage, let’s take a look at what was revealed in the first show that might offer an indication of what could happen on the rest of the highly anticipated tour. A lot has already happened—from Bey herself addressing the lack of visuals to her celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, in keeping with the themes of the album.

Here’s everything we learned from night one of the Renaissance World Tour.

Beyoncé said not to rush a queen for music videos

omg not beyoncé addressing the visuals i’m crying 😭 #RenaissanceWorldTour pic.twitter.com/xQ9AkBCp3p — rasmus (@rasmusbravado) May 10, 2023

If we haven’t learned by now, Beyoncé releases things when she is good and ready . This is her first solo album since 2016’s Lemonade , so we can’t act surprised that she told her fans to be patient and stop asking about the music videos. Her last solo albums, Lemonade , Beyoncé , and The Gift (a concept album for The Lion King ), all had visual components that included music videos for each song. This built up the expectation that RENAISSANCE would get the same treatment.

Beyoncé is online and knows her fans have been hounding her, and she has finally responded. During a break on the first night, a disembodied voice addressed the crowd as the words it spoke were displayed on stage: “Aww, you mad? Well, there’s no remedy for that, bitches… I know you’ve asked for the visuals. You’ve called for the Queen. But a Queen moves at her own pace, bitch. Decides when she wants to give you a f-cking taste. So get your fork and your spoon if you got one.”

She is cutting out some of her biggest hits to make room for the new album and deep cuts

Attendees at the concert in Stockholm filmed every moment for the world to see on social media, and many of Beyoncé’s fans were quite surprised by some of the songs she decided to perform. She opened the show with “Dangerously In Love” from her debut album of the same name and ran through a string of popular songs, both mainstream hits and fan favorites. At the opening night show, she also performed songs like “Rather Die Young,” “Flaws and All,” and “Black Parade,” which have not gotten much attention from Beyoncé in recent memory.

Beyonce - Rather Die Young 🎤 SINGGGGGG!!!! #RenaissanceWorldTour pic.twitter.com/MEZwAVYNWk — ram (@oyyram) May 10, 2023

Some of Beyoncé’s most popular songs, many of which she has made a point to perform on past tours, are notably missing from the set list. “Run The World” fans, do not worry: she still performs the song. But those who are fans of “If I Were a Boy,” “Single Ladies,” and “Halo,” a notorious closer for Beyoncé—as evidenced by the Homecoming concert film and her Formation World Tour— may be disappointed.

Beyoncé brought back the Les Twins, who have accompanied her on multiple tours and performances

The Les Twins, Laurent and Larry, were approached by Beyoncé years ago after a video of them dancing went viral and they appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show . They were invited to perform with Beyoncé at the Billboard Music Awards in 2011, and she took them on the road with her for the Mrs. Carter World Tour, her joint On The Run Tour with Jay-Z, and her Coachella performance in 2018 . Her fans were excited to see the Les Twins back on stage with her for this new tour.

It was gay as hell: An unabashed celebration of the LGBTQ+ community

In the lead-up to the album, Beyoncé dedicated the project to her Uncle Johnny, who battled HIV when she was young. He is referenced in the song “HEATED,” and in the outro of the song, Beyoncé takes on the role of MC at a ball (a queer dance party) where she starts “reading.” All of these influences took center stage at the Renaissance World Tour and will make a strong statement when it comes stateside in July, given the wave of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation being introduced across the country.

BEYONCÉ IS HEATED😭😭😭 #RENAISSANCEtour pic.twitter.com/ddL9s1ByUA — 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘆🫧💚 (@beyoncegarden) May 10, 2023

One of the biggest displays of affection for her queer fans came even before the concert started. As concertgoers poured into the stadium, they were greeted with a fake TV error screen, but if you look closely, some of the colors are different. This error screen has the colors of the progress pride flag, which includes colors from the transgender pride flag, as well as brown and black to indicate the greater discrimination experienced by those members of the community. Twitter users joked, “Nashville is gonna be ready to arrest Beyoncé for this, lord Jesus,” referencing the state’s attempt to ban drag shows and broader attempts across the US to infringe on trans people’s rights.

Nashville is gonna be ready to arrest Beyoncé for this lord Jesus pic.twitter.com/jAz6ObNSEQ — 💫 (@heyjaeee) May 10, 2023

There is also a ball that happens in the show. Beyoncé makes space for her dancers to vogue and dance to her song, “PURE/HONEY.”

BEYONCÉ HOSTING A BALL IS SO WILD TO ME OMG pic.twitter.com/1JwnRMX8TR — pocket (@islandthembo) May 10, 2023

Some people might recognize Honey Balenciaga from The House of Balenciaga, which appeared in season two of HBO Max’s Legendary . She was seen voguing on stage with the rest of Beyoncé’s dancers.

@legendaryvoguex HONEY BALENCIAGA @Honey. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE THE IT GIRL #RENAISSANCE ♬ original sound - Legendary Vogue X

As we’ve seen with other tours from major artists like Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, and the 1975, their fervent fan base will keep everyone up to date on all the song changes, new outfits, and surprises that these artists pull out of their bag of tricks on the road. As we’ve seen with Swift’s notoriously sold-out Eras Tour, her fans made sure to give people who couldn’t get tickets a chance to see the tour play out online. Based on how night one played out, it seems like Beyoncé’s fans will be doing the same for those of us stuck at home.

Correction, May 11: The original version of this story misgendered Honey Balenciaga. She uses she/her pronouns.

Beyoncé Announces Renaissance World Tour

The star’s first solo tour since 2016 will start May 10 in Stockholm.

  • Share full article

Beyoncé smiles widely at the Grammys podium, wearing a black dress with a plunging neckline.

By Joe Coscarelli

For the first time since 2016 — a world before Beychella , Covid-19 and “Renaissance” — Beyoncé will headline a solo tour, the singer announced in a social media post on Wednesday.

Beginning on May 10 in Stockholm, and continuing in Europe through June before coming to North America, the Renaissance World Tour, in support of her seventh solo album, will run for at least 40 dates, largely in stadiums, according to dates posted to Beyoncé’s website . The tour includes one night at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey (July 29) and one at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. (Sept. 2) amid stops in Chicago, Philadelphia, Toronto, Atlanta, Phoenix and Miami.

Limited tickets for certain tour dates will go on sale beginning Monday for members of Beyoncé’s BeyHive fan club, followed by the staggered release of additional tickets by market, using a complex registration system for various tiers of buyer.

The tour, produced by Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment and promoted by Live Nation, will use Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan system , which aims to limit bots and professional scalpers, marking one of the first major tests for Ticketmaster since extraordinary demand for early tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour last year led to fan backlash and regulatory scrutiny . At a Senate Judiciary hearing last month spurred by the botched presale, artists, fans and politicians cast Live Nation Entertainment, the concert industry giant that owns Ticketmaster, as a monopoly that hinders competition and harms consumers.

Beyoncé’s shows will be the singer’s first live events available to the public since the On the Run II tour with her husband, Jay-Z, in 2018, tied to the surprise release of a joint album, “Everything Is Love,” by the duo billed as the Carters. Beyoncé last toured alone behind her previous solo album, “Lemonade,” in 2016. Two years later, she headlined the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

That show — which went on to be released as “Homecoming” (2019), a live album and concert film — was called “rich with history, potently political and visually grand” in a review by the New York Times critic Jon Caramanica. “By turns uproarious, rowdy, and lush. A gobsmacking marvel of choreography and musical direction.”

In the years since, Beyoncé has surfaced intermittently, including with songs like “Black Parade,” which won a Grammy Award for best R&B performance, and “Be Alive,” which appeared in the movie “King Richard” and was nominated for an Oscar. Last year, in a taped performance, Beyoncé performed the song at the 94th annual Academy Awards.

But the singer made a return to the pop mainstream in earnest with the July 2022 release of “Renaissance,” a dance-floor-oriented album that she said was inspired by the L.G.B.T.Q. community and has spawned hits like “Break My Soul” and “Cuff It.” At the Grammy Awards on Sunday, Beyoncé is nominated nine times , with a chance to become the most-awarded artist in history.

Upon its release, the singer called “Renaissance” part of a “three act project” that she recorded during the pandemic. “My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment,” she wrote of the album, which was billed as Act I. “A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom.”

Major music touring has largely recovered, especially at its highest levels, since the Covid-19 pandemic. According to the industry trade publication Pollstar , touring grossed a record-setting $6.28 billion last year, up more than 13 percent from 2019, due in part to pent-up fan demand, inflation and major acts like Bad Bunny, Elton John and Harry Styles.

In addition to Beyoncé’s shows, this year will see blockbuster tours from artists including Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Metallica, Morgan Wallen and Madonna.

Last month, Beyoncé proved more polarizing than usual when she headlined the grand opening of a luxury hotel in Dubai, performing for an invite-only collection of guests, including influencers and journalists.

While some fans decried the optics of taking a major payday in a place that criminalizes homosexuality — “Beyoncé’s Dubai performance isn’t just an affront to LGBTQ+ fans, but workers’ rights in the UAE,” The Guardian declared — others noted that the singer’s set list did not yet include songs from “Renaissance.”

An earlier version of this article misstated the year Beyoncé headlined Coachella. It was 2018, not 2016.

Beyoncé returned to the stage for first time in four years in January

Last month, Beyoncé made her return to the stage and performed at the opening of the Atlantis The Royal hotel in Dubai. Despite the luxury experience, the singer left fans wanting more, as she did not perform any songs from "Renaissance," The Hollywood Reporter reported.

The invitation-only event marked her first concert in more than four years. She last performed at the  Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 event in 2018.

Beyoncé dominates Grammy nominations

The singer's tour announcement comes days ahead of the Grammys where Beyoncé leads the 2023 lineup with nine nominations, including best dance/electronic album ("Renaissance"), best R&B performance ("Virgo’s Groove") and best traditional R&B performance ("Plastic Off the Sofa").

With 28 wins and 88 total career nominations, Beyoncé now ties her husband, rapper Jay-Z , for the most nominations in Grammy history. If Beyoncé picks up four or more awards this year, she will surpass the late Georg Solti for the most Grammy wins of all time. (The Hungarian-born conductor holds the record with 31.)

Beyoncé called out by Monica Lewinsky: over 'Partition' lyric after ableism controversy

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have got "to be the most intense power couple in the history of music," Recording Academy president Harvey Mason Jr. Mason said after the nominations were revealed. "That’s music and Grammy royalty – that’s the royal family."

Their combined 176 nominations are "absolutely a testament to their talent, to their level of excellence, to their work ethic, to their level of greatness over a long period of time. I don’t even know what the next (leading) couple would be, but it’s not anywhere close.”

Beyoncé's 'Break My Soul.' Taylor Swift's 'Anti-Hero.'  These are the 10 best songs of 2022, ranked.

Beyoncé noticeably was not nominated in any of the music video categories for the Grammys, having not released any album visuals for "Renaissance" since its debut.

Live reviews

There is no artist now that is comparable to Beyoncé. She stands by herself above all other entertainers, as a singular force she is Queen Bey and yes I am a huge Beyoncé fan. I've liked her music but Lemonade is an amazing album, touching on different musical genres, and my anthem is Formation so I had to see Beyoncé for the Formation World Tour.

Large arenas are so cumbersome but I bared through it, drove 3.5 hours, waited in line, parked near (but not really) sat down and within 15 minutes it started. I must say considering everything, the show started on time.

The moment I heard that distinctive beat for Formation and saw Beyoncé and her dancers come out, I LOST MY MIND (I was just screaming and jumping with no real aim but to release all my energy). I was in the same space as Beyoncé and it was a lot of screaming. Much like those videos of girls loosing their mind over Elvis, the Beatles, and Justin Bieber- I was doing that and it was fantastic. Because collectively the entire audience was also LOOSING THEIR MINDS. Just that experience like communal euphoria it's very hard to get but damn it if it doesn't make you feel magical.

The stage had a giant cube and screens and I could definitely see a little figure (I didn't have the best seats) who happened to be Beyoncé. Before she begins, she asked as questions and if we agreed we had to respond with "I Slay" I didn't so much say it as screamed it at the top of my lungs like my life depend on it. GOD DAMN, I was gonna get in formation and slay if it was the last thing I ever did.

From there, the show just kept going for two hours, she sang, danced, and slayed. She sounds live like she sounds on the albums, and she danced for the majority of the time, like she never stopped moving. The intermissions were brief, between the intermissions and the slow songs- I took a breather, because, I unlike Beyoncé needed to rest from all the singing along and jumping I was doing. She did some songs from Destinys Child, the majority of her hits (no show for Irreplaceable and Single Ladies).

In the end, after everything, I was just amazed. For one, I could have lived at any time in history, but I get to live in the time of Beyonce. For two, I saw the greatest performer of my generation live. For three, I saw Beyoncé at her peak, with the greatest album she has released (so far). When I'm old- I'm going to be telling the youngins about the time I saw Beyoncé live for the Formation World Tour, and they will be amazed. I can't wait to tell the story. En fin, if you get a chance do it, see Beyoncé because it will change you, transform you, it will slay you, and you will be amazed.

I ended up winning my tickets to Beyonce online. I wasn't a huge fan before the gig but just decided to enter the comp on a win. I loved some of her previous stuff and was intrigued by the new album Lemonade. On arriving at Croke Park in Dublin the buzz was unreal. We were sitting up in the gods in the Cusack stand and we had a great view. We got to see the second support act Chloe x Halle and they were awesome. The noise in the stadium was brilliant everyone was singing and dancing just full of happiness and joy. Then Welcome To The Formation Tour came up on the big screen and the place erupted. When queen B graced the stage her presence was just electric. The whole show from start to finish was absolutely amazing. Bey has such an incredible stage presence and her voice is outstanding. The dancers and choreography was on point and just made you want to get up and shake what your mother gave you haha. I can truthfully say Beyonce gained another super fan in me that night. So entertaining and engaging with the crowd. And that ass!!! My boyfriend came with me (reluctantly!) only to see that ass in the flesh!! By the last part of the concert he was up dancing with me and all the people around us. I have to say where we were sitting was superb because the people around us were so friendly and we had a great time with everyone. Bit of scandal.... There was a girl in our row a few seats up (we'll call her boots girl) and she was giving it loads and more until..... She puked vodka all over the girl sitting in front of her!!!!!!! Now I'm all for having a drink and enjoying myself but seriously there is no need to get that wasted. My heart went out to the poor girl she puked on and everyone seen it. Soooo embarrassing. Everyone in the row in front of booty girl was terrified that they would become her next victim!! On a final note if you ever get a chance to go see Beyonce GO GO GO... You will not be disappointed and u will leave on a high that will last for days after. BEYONCÉ YOU SLAY

Half of the fun of going to this Beyonce concert was to watch the crowd as I was waiting for my friends. This crowd did not disappoint. Lots of clubbing outfit, even in a chilly place like Seattle. A very pregnant woman wearing mini dress and high heels. Very diverse group of people. But I digress.

This was my first Beyonce concert.

I had a high level of expectation due to being told repeatedly that Beyonce is such a perfectionism. So for me this was a letdown. After the opening act of DJ Khaled ended, we had to wait more than 1 hour for Beyonce to show up on stage. What was taking so long? the hair? the makeup?

And the acoustics were horrible. Unless you knew the words to her songs, you couldn't make out what she was singing as her voice was totally drowned by the music.

She gave us a medley type of show, singing part of a song then segueing into another song. That was disappointing as I like to hear my songs in full. But that's a personal preference.

Beyonce was stunning and seemed to have a great time performing for her fans.

Lots of gorgeous visuals, lots of smoky and pyrotechnic effects reminiscent of Las Vegas acts if that's what you're into.

Crowd participation. Probably a given as her fans adore her. They do not just sit down to passively be entertained. Most of them were on their feet dancing to the music.

Fired up energetic dancing from her and her dancers.

And on the few sets where they actually toned down the music and allowed us to hear her voice, Beyonce shone and showed why she is the superstar that she is.

I am a really big Beyoncé fan and was really pumped up to see her – I'd been waiting for years for the chance. The concert was at our local arena and there were about 18,000 other fans in attendance, so I was worried it might not feel very special. But if anything, that made it more memorable: the place was full of energy and people ready to dance and sing.

She was really on it that night and her voice sounded so great. She did her slow songs like “If I was a Boy” with just as much energy and soul as she performs her faster hits like “Drunk in Love” and “All the Single Ladies” (which was epic). Her costumes were equally impressive (she must have changed outfits half a dozen times) and she looked so good in all of them, she truly is a really beautiful lady. Her shows have a kind of sexy appeal and it came off as very authentic, not crass. The way she moved her body and the emphasis she gave on certain songs just made the whole thing one good raunchy affair!

During the show she gave a few shout outs to her husband Jay Z and the amazing band she tours with. You can probably imagine, we were so worn out from dancing and singing once the show was over with.

Beyoncé has absolutely taken hold as the single most important female performer in pop music these days and if you are lucky enough to see her in concert, that will only help to prove that she belongs in that role. Hopefully she will be back in the near future – I'll be first in line for tickets :)

The first indication that The Formation World Tour would be a cinematic experience, as well as a sonic one, was when the THX logo appeared on the side screens, along with the signature deep note. A few seconds later, the rotating (sixty-foot, three-dimensional) multimedia display came to life with pulsating black-and-white nudes of Queen Bey spliced with footage of a hawk flying high above its prey.

“Welcome to the Formation Tour, can I hear you say ‘I slay!’”

Beyoncé, along with about a dozen dancers donning wide-brim hats and black leotards, marched down the catwalk in true formation. Visual clips and poetry about being “Sorry” eased the transition into the track with the deceptive name; all while 50,000 people filled the San Diego stadium with screams that could be heard in Mexico. And as if Bey couldn’t express her discontent with her own two hands, she instructed her dance troupe to line up behind her with arms outstretched; providing an octopus illusion of middle fingers in the air while she told that “boy bye,” before interjecting an acapella version of “Kitty Kat” in between the hook and the famous last verse about “Becky with the good hair.”

Beyoncé + Jay Z is the concert experience you think of when you think of the ultimate arena concert experiences. It's the full package - amazing choreography, costume changes every few minutes, stage effects and of course, hit song after hit song. Although as a whole it's an extraordinary, confident show, it is very clear that Beyoncé drives 80% of the action - although Jay-Z is very good, there's nowhere near the same amount of energy or showmanship that makes Beyoncé's songs so exciting.

Even at over 2 hours in duration, the show only provides a sample of their formidable discographies - but the selection is solid. You won't get the 10-minute long "Single Ladies" jam you've dreamed of, but even the nods to songs like this and "Countdown" are unique and memorable.

So in all, this is a show that has it all - great remixes, a visual feast and never a break in the action. If you have even just a passing interest in the B+JZ duo, you'll find this an incredibly enjoyable night out.

I was really looking forward to this show, I've been waiting for years to see Beyoncé. I purchased standing tickets, and yes, I expected that I won't be able to see much of her. What I didn't expect was the drunk people squeezing in front of me after queuing for 1,5hours, and people covering even the little view I had out with their phones to take videos. But even that I can deal with, although it made me sad. What really disappointed me was the sound. Maybe it's just me, I don't know, but unfortunately her voice didn't come through clearly. I could have dealt with all the other things if it was a fantastic audio experience, but I am very very sad to say it wasn't. Beyoncé was amazing of course, but somehow the entire experience is more a negative. I can't even believe I am saying this as I was really excited and convinced I was gonna have a great time, as it's B, she is a perfectionist, sound can't go wrong. It did, I'm sorry. Maybe next time will be better.

I really love Beyoncé so this was honestly the best night of my entire life. My friend and I were lucky enough and got there early enough to be in the second row in Gold Circle 1 so we were really close. I am quite short so I struggled to see her on the main stage but the 'Monolith' was massive so I could watch her and the visuals on that. She did spend quite a bit of time on the second stage and the runway which was quite disappointing but we could watch the whole thing on the 'Monolith' so that was okay. Amazing band, amazing dancers, amazing crew, amazing visuals - so many talented people made this show what it was. Overall, it was honestly an amazing show, she is such a talented performer and I would definitely pay that to see her again - hopefully soon! 10/10

The On The Run 2 tour was amazing with great performances by Beyoncé and Jay-Z. There were obviously large queues to get in early on and the standing pitch was very busy (unsupisingly). However, although Beyoncé’s performance was incredible and full of energy and voice of an angel, Jay-Z had a completely different vibe. I felt that their music did compliment eachother but Jay-Z’s performance didn’t seem as energetic or engaging as Beyoncé. I was hoping to hear a lot of Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ album but unfortunately only 2-3 songs came up from that album. Their collaborative songs were very good I.e Crazy in love, Drunk in love and Deja Vu. In the whole, I had a great experience and though Beyoncé was amazing and proved herself of being Queen B!

A very EPIC show!!! The opening act were pretty good and they managed not to lose my interest. The seating was amazing! We were right near the stage. The seats that they give are kind of uncomfortable though. The Mercedes Benz Stadium is a very nice venue with friendly vendors and staff. Traffic wasn’t too bad as long as you know how to get around the main crowd. Jay Z and Beyoncé put on a SHOW!!! The vibes that you get when at a Beyoncé concert is always great. I would highly recommend anyone who appreciates music, good dancing, a performance, and loves Beyoncé should definitely see Beyoncé in concert at least once in their lifetime. Wonderful show and can’t wait for her to come back out!

Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour Dancers, Including Rob Bynes, Amari Marshall And Aliya Janell, Are Winning Fans Over

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

The millions of BeyHive members who have been lucky enough to enjoy Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour are well aware of the unmatched showmanship that happens at every show.

The global tour, which supports the singer’s seventh studio album  Renaissance , kicked off on May 10 in Sweden and ran through Europe until hitting the U.S. in July. Upon Renaissance ‘s release, Beyoncé dedicated the LP to her late Uncle Johnny , who was the nephew of Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles .

As a Black Queer male, he introduced a young Beyoncé to different types of music and fashion she may not have been exposed to growing up in Houston. With the incorporation of house music , sound snippets of calls from iconic members of the LGBTQ community and choreography laced with “voguing,” the Grammy-nominated album and tour unlocked a new level of creativity for Queen Bey.

The chromatic theme of the Renaissance World Tour is enhanced by the creative team backing the artist on stage, especially her dancers. She brought in award-winning instructor Fatima Robinson as her director of choreography and Chris Grant as her lead choreographer. While the presence of her long-term dance captain Ashley Everett was missed, Beyoncé seized the moment to put some new faces on the stage.

Amari Marshall stepped into the role as co-captain with Hannah Douglas and owned it. The curvy dancer captivated audiences, giving brown skin and body on the stage. She is also praised as the “auntie” who directs Blue Ivy on the stage during her appearances.

Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter Is Here! Every Artist Featured on the New Album

The 32-time Grammy winner recruited a few country legends for her eighth studio album

Giddy up! Beyoncé 's eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter , has officially arrived!

The new project, also known as Act II from her Renaissance release, has made its way to the U.S. as of midnight Friday, after fans in countries like New Zealand and Australia got a sneak peek of sorts thanks to their time zones. Beyoncé also published lyric videos on her YouTube channel .

"The joy of creating music is that there are no rules," said Beyoncé in a press release. "The more I see the world evolving the more I felt a deeper connection to purity. With artificial intelligence and digital filters and programming, I wanted to go back to real instruments, and I used very old ones. I didn’t want some layers of instruments like strings, especially guitars, and organs perfectly in tune. I kept some songs raw and leaned into folk. All the sounds were so organic and human, everyday things like the wind, snaps and even the sound of birds and chickens, the sounds of nature."

Blair Caldwell

She continued, "My process is that I typically have to experiment,” Beyoncé says. "I enjoy being open to have the freedom to get all aspects of things I love out and so I worked on many songs. I recorded probably 100 songs. Once that is done, I am able to put the puzzle together and realize the consistencies and the common themes, and then create a solid body of work."

"This album took over five years," Beyoncé revealed. "It’s been really great to have the time and the grace to be able to take my time with it. I was initially going to put Cowboy Carter out first, but with the pandemic, there was too much heaviness in the world.  We wanted to dance.  We deserved to dance.  But I had to trust God’s timing."

She ended, "I think people are going to be surprised because I don’t think this music is what everyone expects — but it’s the best music I’ve ever made."

On March 19, the 32-time Grammy winner, 42, told her supporters, “This ain’t a country album. This is a “Beyoncé” album,” but the 27-track body of work features some big-time country heavy hitters.

Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson are among the featured artists. Nelson, 90, can be heard on "Smoke Hour Willie Nelson" and "Smoke Hour II."

Last month, Parton, 78, congratulated the "Texas Hold 'Em" singer after the song earned her a “Billboard Hot Country number one single.”

The hitmaker previously stated that she wished “ someone like Beyoncé " would re-record the classic — which does appear on Cowboy Carter .

In addition to the remake, there is also an interlude titled “Dolly P” that seems to already be a hit with the “I Will Always Love You” singer.

“Just call me Dolly P 🤠,” she captioned a throwback Instagram photo of herself ahead of the release.

There’s also Linda Martell, who made history in 1969 as the first Black female solo artist to play the Grand Ole Opry.

The 82-year-old is featured in an interlude that introduces the song "Ya Ya."

Miley Cyrus and Post Malone also appear on the album. The Disney channel alum, 31, joins the Houston native for the track "II Most Wanted." The “Sunflower” artist, 28, collabs with Beyoncé for a song called “Levii’s Jeans.”

Shaboozey, known for blending hip-hop and country, shows up on "Spaghettii."

Other Black country artists that appear on Cowboy Carter include Rhiannon Giddens, Tanner Adell, and Willie Jones . Addell, Brittney Spencer, Tiera Kennedy and Reyna Roberts joined Beyoncé for her cover of The Beatles' "Blackbird." Jones contributed to "Just for Fun," while Giddens plays banjo on "Texas Hold 'Em."

Queen Bey teased her tracklist via social media on Wednesday with a flyer showcasing all of the songs.

"Brought to you by KNTRY Radio Texas,” the announcement read at the bottom of the post.

The “16 Carriages” singer first revealed her new project after starring in a Verizon wireless commercial that aired during the 2024 Super Bowl.

Once the ad ended, the rollout began.

Beyonce new zealand tour tickets 2024.

Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter is a Houston-raised singer, actress and producer. Queen Bey has been recognised as an international dance and pop music icon following her wide acclaim and success as a solo artist. As a mezzo-soprano, her unique voice has been called “one of the most distinctive instruments” of our time.

Beyoncé was enrolled in dance classes from an early age. Soon her instructor, Darlette Johnson, discovered that she was far more talented than the other children at her level. Darlette took a special interest and helped Beyoncé through about 30 talent shows as a child, beating out teenagers as an 8-year-old.  She attended elementary and high schools that promoted the arts and regularly performed in school and church.

After the disbanding of Destiny’s Child in 2006, Beyoncé began to pave her way through the music industry on her own. With her debut album ‘B’day’ she managed to smash the charts with hits like ‘Déjà Vu’ with Jay-Z and everybody’s favourite earworm ‘Irreplaceable’. Following her wildly successful debut, she released ‘I Am… Sasha Fierce’, ‘4’, ‘Beyoncé’ and ‘Lemonade’ and toured in America and internationally for all of those releases. And we all know what a Beyoncé tour would have looked like!

Is Beyonce coming to New Zealand?

Queen Bey is set to head down under in 2024!

Beyoncé has shared details of her first tour in seven years. The hugely anticipated Renaissance world tour will begin on 10 May at Stockholm’s Friends Arena before working its way through stadiums in Europe and the UK over the course of spring and summer. The tour’s North American leg starts on 7 July in Toronto, and continues through to the autumn, with a concluding date set for 27 September at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome.

The Renaissance world tour includes an extensive run of UK dates: Beyoncé will perform on 29 and 30 May at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Cardiff, Edinburgh and Sunderland set for 17 May, 20 May and 23 May respectively.

When was Beyoncé's last tour in New Zealand?

The last time Beyoncé graced Oceania with her magnetic presence was on “The Mrs Carter Show” in 2013. The show was filled with vibrant dancers, pyrotechnics and of course the Queen herself. Critics said that this is arguably one of her most energetic and complex shows ever, which only means Beyonce’s next New Zealand Tour is all set to be even more of a rager. It will definitely be based on her new album ‘Renaissance’ which is packed with boppy numbers that will sure to have you dancing up a storm at her concert!

Fans can expect to hear all of Beyoncé's hits, from early Destiny's Child classics like “Survivor” and “Independent Women”, to her newer hits like “BREAK MY SOUL” and “PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA”.

How do I purchase Beyoncé tickets?

You can purchase tickets for the Beyonce tour in New Zealand once there has been an announcement regarding her “Renaissance” album tour via Ticker Merchant. As one of the most celebrated performers of our time, there’s no way you want to miss this chance to catch Beyoncé on tour in 2023!

Everything We Know About Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus' New Song "II Most Wanted"

The drop of Bey's Cowboy Carter  track list revealed the former  Voice  Coach is featured!

beyonce tour new zealand

It's a great day for Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus fans.

How to Watch

Watch  The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

After weeks of speculation, it's  officially confirmed that the former  Voice  Coach ( Seasons 11 and 13) has collaborated with Queen Bey on the Renaissance  singer's anticipated eighth album,  Cowboy Carter , which drops Friday, March 29 at midnight in the U.S. Find out everything you need to know, below.

Miley Cyrus featured on Beyoncé's new song, “II Most Wanted”

Though  Cowboy Carter  officially drops in North America at midnight, New Zealand and Australia markets have already gained access to the album's full track list, with features. This is how some fans were able to already spot that Cyrus was apart of the project's 16th track, "II Most Wanted."

RELATED:  Revisit Miley Cyrus' Famous Cover of Her Godmother Dolly Parton's Hit "Jolene"

We'll have to wait until 12:00 a.m. ET to hear the official version, but the collab marks the first time the two genre-crossing Grammy winners have released an original song together. However, the artists sang together in 2008 for a Stand Up to Cancer charitable concert in which Cyrus, Beyoncé, and 11 other female vocalists (Keyshia Cole, Leona Lewis, Fergie, Ciara, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Carrie Underwood, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, and Nicole Scherzinger) all came together to sing original song "Just Stand Up!"

“What I remember most from doing this performance is I was standing in between two of the big legends and icons that I was looking up to at the time, and they treated me like a little sister the entire time,” Cyrus said about Beyoncé and Rihanna in her “Used to Be Young” TikTok series. “They were being really sweet.”

Split of Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus

She continued, "I got brackets on the back of my teeth, and I’m singing with Beyoncé.”

Cyrus may have hinted at her iconic impending collab when she shared a photo on March 1 of herself wearing a Louis Vuitton cowboy hat . The fashion choice mirrored Beyoncé herself, who has been seen wearing multiple different cowboy hats in the lead-up to the drop of  Cowboy Carter , which is inspired by country music.

"This album has been over five years in the making. It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t. But, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive," Bey wrote in a lengthy caption earlier this month. "I have a few surprises on the album, and have collaborated with some brilliant artists who I deeply respect. I hope that you can hear my heart and soul, and all the love and passion that I poured into every detail and every sound."

How can I listen to Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus' new song “II Most Wanted?"

The full  Cowboy Carter  album, including "II Most Wanted," will be available to listen to wherever you can stream music at midnight on Friday, March 29.

Beyoncé Drops ‘Pony Up’ Remix of ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ With New Verse, Breakdown

Beyoncé is rustling up all her cowboys and kindly asking them to hit the dancefloor for a new remix of her Cowboy Carter single “Texas Hold ‘Em.” The track gets a fresh bounce as well as a new verse and breakdown in a “Pony Up” remix of the song that topped the Billboard Hot 100 and the Hot Country Songs chart when it dropped in February.

In addition to the new lyrics, the song has some new vocals, cracking drums and new samples, as well as a breakdown in which Bey calls “all my cowboys to the dancefloor,” then making her request more urgent with a call to “Get on the dancefloor!”

The new second verse cranks up the righteous cowboy action with the lines, “Woke up this mornin’, my heart keeps racin’/ Straight to the bottom, we all need salvation (Come take it to the floor now, ooh)/ Need you to in this drought, take me downtown/ Gon leave the truck, whiskey, baby/ Let’s get weekend wasted/ Might as well just throw it all (Woo-woo)/ And pony up, b–ch, don’t hold back on me.”

The song ends with a new outro as well, on which Bey sings, “Pony up and salute your town/ Chasin’ our sins away, way brown/ And I’ll be damned if I cannot dance with you/ Baby, pour that sugar and liquor on me, too/ Furs, spurs, boots.”

In addition to the remix, the singer also launched a mysterious new website this week, beencountry.com , which at press time featured an image of a teen Bey singing at the Texas Sweetheart Pageant, as well as a childhood pic of the singer, a contemporary shot of her in her full cowboy regalia — including furry chaps — a picture of a banjo and the reminder that “This ain’t a country album. This is a ‘Beyoncé’ album.” Some Beyhive members noted that posters with the beencountry images have gone up around Los Angeles, speculating that they could be a tease for an as-yet-unannounced Cowboy Carter tour.

Beyoncé's new album 'Cowboy Carter' is a statement against AI music

Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter" has been out for only a few days, yet it's already obvious that we'll be talking about it for years to come -- it's breaking records across streaming platforms, and the artist herself calls it "the best music [she's] ever made." "The joy of creating music is that there are no rules," said Beyoncé. Beyoncé rarely does interviews, giving each of her comments about the new album more significance -- these remarks are among few jumping-off points fans get to help them puzzle through each element of the album, and how they all fit together.

Top End Bub

Romantic comedy series “Top End Bub” will begin production next month in Australia as a sequel to hit 2019 feature film “ Top End Wedding .” Stars Miranda Tapsell (“The Sapphires”) and Gwilym Lee (“Bohemian Rhapsody”) will reprise their roles.

Where the 2019 Wayne Blair-directed film saw an engaged couple chase around the remote far north of Australia in search of the bride’s AWOL mother in time for their wedding, the eight-part series sees the married couple abandon their comfortable city life and move to the Top End (where the outback meets the tropics) to raise their recently orphaned niece. Tapsell’s character, Lauren, a dynamic Indigenous lawyer, must come to terms with her responsibilities within her culture as she transforms from an individualist to the linchpin of her family.

Goalpost Pictures’ Rosemary Blight is executive producer, and the series will be directed by Christian Van Vuuren and Shari Sebbens. The series will be filmed from May in Adelaide (South Australia) and Northern Territory. It has support from Screen Australia, Screen Territory and the South Australian Film Corporation.

“Prime Video is proud to be bringing back the beloved, hilarious and heart-warming characters of ‘Top End Wedding’ with the television spin-off ‘Top End Bub’ for Prime members in Australia and New Zealand,” said Sarah Christie, senior development executive at Amazon MGM Studios.

“Viewers will enjoy the sharp and funny observations of two city slickers woefully adjusting to life in the outback, surrounded by Lauren’s vast family and a host of colorful characters,” said Yi Qiao, director of drama at ZDF Studios.

While Prime Video recently announced that it was cutting back on production of original shows in Southeast Asia , it plans to continue production in Australia. Since 2019, Prime Video has commissioned 29 Australian original series and features in Australia.

Spielberg joined the list in 1994, the first director to make the cut, after a string of hits that included Jaws, Jurassic Park and Schindler's List. "I'm a gambler," he told Forbes that year. "I haven't taken a salary for almost a decade now." Instead, he negotiated to get a percentage of gross sales for his movies, and he still gets a slice of every ticket sold at Universal theme parks thanks to the Indiana Jones series.

Michael Jordan

Net Worth: $3.2 Billion | Age: 61 | Citizenship: U.S.

Jordan became the first billionaire athlete in 2015, but it wasn't from his legendary basketball career or gambling winnings. Instead, Jordan has raked in more than $1.8 billion from brand partnerships, most famously Nike's Jordan brand. He also made a very wise investment in 2010, buying the Charlotte Hornets NBA team for $175 million. He sold the team in August 2023 for $3 billion.

Oprah Winfrey

Net Worth: $2.8 Billion | Age: 70 | Citizenship: U.S.

The daytime talk show host became the first black female billionaire in 2003. In the years since, she has built her brand into a media and business empire, including investments in real estate and her own production company. Soon after Winfrey revealed that she had started taking a weight-loss drug, the longtime WeightWatchers board member and key shareholder announced plans to step aside.

Net Worth: $2.5 Billion | Age: 54 | Citizenship: U.S.

Hip-hop's first billionaire sold a 50% stake in his champagne brand, Armand de Brignac, to luxury goods giant LVMH in 2021 for at least $300 million, and a majority stake in his cognac label D'Usse in 2023 for a reported $750 million to Bacardi. He also owns stakes in Uber and Block. His net worth does not include his wife Beyonce's own half-billion-dollar fortune.

Kim Kardashian

Net Worth: $1.7 Billion | Age: 43 | Citizenship: U.S.

No one has cashed in on reality star fame more than Kim Kardashian, who has become a billionaire from her beauty and clothing brands. Her shapewear line Skims was valued at $4 billion in a 2023 funding round, and she sold 20% of KKW Beauty makeup company to Coty in 2020 for $200 million. She has since shut KKW Beauty down.

Peter Jackson

Net Worth: $1.5 Billion | Age: 62 | Citizenship: New Zealand

The visionary director behind the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit franchises, Jackson made most of his fortune from his visual effects company, Weta Digital, which sold a portion of its assets to game maker Unity Software in 2021. That deal netted the New Zealander nearly $1 billion in cash and stock.

Tyler Perry

Net Worth: $1.4 Billion | Age: 54 | Citizenship: U.S.

Perry has brought in well over $1 billion in pretax earnings over a three-decade career creating and acting in TV shows, movies and stage plays. He famously lent one of his Los Angeles homes to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when they stepped down as senior members of the British royal family.

Net Worth: $1.4 Billion | Age: 36 | Citizenship: Barbados

The pop star has stakes in two billion-dollar brands: cosmetics company Fenty Beauty, which she owns alongside luxury goods giant LVMH, and lingerie business Savage X Fenty. Both are named after the Barbados-born singer, whose real name is Robyn Fenty.

Tiger Woods

Net Worth: $1.3 Billion | Age: 48 | Citizenship: U.S.

Tiger Woods is in an exclusive club, joining Lebron James as the only two athletes who became billionaires while still active in their sport. But, more than anything, it was his celebrity that pushed him into ten digits. The five-time Masters' winner has earned over $1.7 billion in his career, the bulk of it from endorsements. His most notable brand deal, a nearly three-decade partnership with Nike, came to an end in January. Woods soon announced his own clothing line, Sun Day Red.

LeBron James

Net Worth: $1.2 Billion | Age: 39 | Citizenship: U.S.

The basketball great has pulled in more than $1 billion in on and off-court earnings over his two-decade career. He's invested it in real estate, stakes in businesses like Blaze Pizza, his own production and entertainment company SpringHill, and, of course, sports. James has a stake in Fenway Sports Group, owner of the MLB's Boston Red Sox; soccer club Liverpool and the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins.

Magic Johnson

Net Worth: $1.2 Billion | Age: 64 | Citizenship: U.S.

Johnson made his name in basketball, but long before the crazy salaries or even endorsements deals of late. Instead he made his fortune in business and, specifically, through savvy partnerships with other billionaires. He owns pieces of the NFL's Washington Commanders (with Justin Harris), the MLB's Los Angeles Dodgers (with Todd Boehly), the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks and MLS' LAFC. Most of his wealth comes from his stake in Iowa-based life insurance provider EquiTrust.

Net Worth: $1.2 Billion | Age: 77 | Citizenship: U.S.

The mastermind behind the most watched crime shows on TV, including Law & Order and FBI, Wolf debuts on the billionaire’s list thanks to nearly $2 billion pretax earnings from his 30-year career in television.

Taylor Swift

Net Worth: $1.1 Billion | Age: 34 | Citizenship: U.S.

Miss Americana capped off one of the most culturally influential years a musician has ever had by becoming a billionaire in October. Her estimated $190 million post-tax earnings from her historic Eras Tour helped boost the country-and-pop musician into the three-comma club-the first person to do it based solely on songwriting and performing.
