erlewine chiquita travel guitar

Since 1969, Erlewine Guitars has been THE name in guitar repairs and custom guitars for the most demanding of professional players as well as the casual hobbyist. Mark Erlewine moved his shop from Ann Arbor, Michigan to Austin, Texas in 1974 and has been an integral part of supporting the local music scene ever since. His guitar designs such as the Chiquita Travel Guitar (designed with Billy F. Gibbons of ZZ Top), the Lazer headless guitar, and the Automatic have stood the test of time and continue to be in demand. Preferring to control the quality and timeliness of his work, Mark is in the shop everyday and does all repair work himself.

The trains and stations of the Moscow Metro

2 Comments · Posted by Alex Smirnov in Cities , Travel , Video

The Moscow Metro is the third most intensive subway system in the world after Tokyo and Seoul subways. The first line was opened on May 15, 1935. Since 1955, the metro has the name of V.I. Lenin.

The system consists of 12 lines with a total length of 305.7 km. Forty four stations are recognized cultural heritage. The largest passenger traffic is in rush hours from 8:00 to 9:00 and from 18:00 to 19:00.

Cellular communication is available on most of the stations of the Moscow Metro. In March 2012, a free Wi-Fi appeared in the Circle Line train. The Moscow Metro is open to passengers from 5:20 to 01:00. The average interval between trains is 2.5 minutes.

The fare is paid by using contactless tickets and contactless smart cards, the passes to the stations are controlled by automatic turnstiles. Ticket offices and ticket vending machines can be found in station vestibules.

The guitar has minimal play wear. Only minor finish scratches exist. Serial Number: 102115179: Tech Notes: Plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. Frets are tall and show little sign of play wear. Currently set up with 13-56 gauge strings (recommended for this guitar by the manufacturer).

  9. Has anyone owned or played an Erlewine Chiquita guitar?

The strings Erlewine specifies you're supposed to use are 13p - 17p - 24w - 36w- 46w - 56w. My Chiquita has a Fender type bridge rather than the Tune-o-matic bridge currently used. My guitar came with a padded gig bag. From a quality perspective I think it's typical of what you would get from a mid-tier Fender.
