Affable, charismatic and one of a kind, Fortune Feimster is a standup comedian, writer and actor who uses her confessional comedy to bring people together. Through laughter and storytelling, Fortune shows audiences of all ages, backgrounds, and sexual orientations that common ground is only a joke or two away.

She expands on that commonality with her latest one-hour special Good Fortune . Now streaming on Netflix, the comedy special has earned praise from both fans and critics with the LA Times naming it to their Best of List for 2022 and it scored a nomination at this year's Critics Choice Award s!

In addition to bringing her comedy to fans across the world, Feimster returns to Netflix May 25 with the release of action-comedy series FUBAR alongside actor Arnold Schwarzenegger as he returns to screens for his first TV series. Feimster stars as Roo Russell in the show about a father and daughter who learn that they've each secretly been working as CIA Operatives for years, realizing their entire relationship has been a lie and they truly don't know one another at all. Forced to team up as partners, the series tackles universal family dynamics set against a global backdrop of spies, action and humor. Watch the trailer HERE .

She can currently be heard every morning on Sirius XM with Tom Papa on Netflix's "What A Joke with Papa and Fortune" radio show. She also hosts a weekly podcast with her wife, Jax, called "Sincerely Fortune."

The North Carolina native began her ascent to popularity as a writer and panelist on E's hit show "Chelsea Lately." She then starred as a series regular on "The Mindy Project" for Hulu and on "Champions" and "Kenan" for NBC. She has logged a multitude of guest appearances on television shows, including "Claws," "Nora from Queens," "2 Broke Girls," "The L Word: Generation Q," "Workaholics," "Glee," and "Tales of the City." Audiences became even more familiar with Fortune through her recurring role as the popular character Dougie on CBS's "Life In Pieces."

Her movie roles include appearances in "Office Christmas Party," "Yes Day," "Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar," and "Father of the Year." And she's a voice actor, recently voicing the role of Evelyn on "The Simpsons" and Counselor Jerry in Pixar's "Soul" along with recurring characters Brenda on "Bless the Harts" for Fox, Ava on "Summer Camp Island" for the Cartoon Network, and Olive in "Velma" on HBO Max.

Viewers really got to know Fortune through her first Netflix special, Sweet & Salty, which was nominated for a Critics Choice Award. With Good Fortune she expands further into her storytelling brand of comedy, hilariously delving into love, relationships, sexuality and shared experiences with Southern charm and the perspective of someone who grew up in the 1980s. She's your funniest cousin who isn't afraid to entertain the masses with tales of her good fortune, insecurities, and faux pas, including meeting her spouse in a parking lot, falling in love and her extravagant proposal that didn't quite go as planned.

Fortune has been building an innovative, inclusive, and unique career for more than 20 years. Be it on the road, her radio show, film, or television, her contagious and joyous comedy is touching lives and bringing us together daily. And with opportunities piling up as fast as punchlines, it's clear the determined and unflappable comedian is just getting started.

Yes, Fortune is everywhere, so don't miss your chance to experience her unique style of standup comedy when she visits a city near you!

There aren’t a lot of international comedy tours doing a lap of Australia at this time of year, so it was a pleasure to head down to the Forum for an early evening set from Charlotte, North Carolina’s Fortune Feimster, the first of two Sunday gigs (23 July) and her final shows in the country.

Good Fortune: Comedian-actress Feimster talks about her tour headed here

From netflix specials to an arnold schwarzenegger spy series, her career is on fire..

fortune feimster tour australia

Fortune Feimster's recent Critics' Choice Awards appearance ended with her spouse's arm in a sling.

Feimster's wife, Jacquelyn, slipped and tumbled after the ceremony, breaking an elbow.

"She was in a dress and heels, and there was a cobblestone walkway and rain, and all of that did not mix," Feimster said.

Jacquelyn is recovering from that Jan. 15 fall in good spirits, and might be healthy enough to join Feimster on tour, as the fast-rising comic and TV star heads to Pittsburgh and New England this March.

Enough time has passed that Feimster might even crack a joke or two about the accident ― "I got to come up with something," she said ― as she comes looking for laughs at two March 2 shows at Carnegie of Homestead Music Hall in Munhall; March 16 at Chevalier Theatre in Medford, Mass .; March 17-18 at the Wilbur Theater in Boston; and two March 19 shows at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine .

Feimster's Live Laugh Love! tour is all-new material, following up her hour-long Netflix concert special, "Good Fortune," where her confessional, homespun comedy captured the hearts of viewers and earned a Critics' Choice nomination.

"This tour picks up where the last one left off," Feimster said. "I talk about our honeymoon, and settling into the married life and how there are approaches from a different perspective. I talk about my mom again, because she's become a fan favorite from my podcast and other stories I've told about her on stage. I'm leaning into that even more because that's where the whole 'Live Laugh Love' part of the tour comes from, since that's one of her favorite signs and now I'm becoming more like my mother."

Feimster says you'll know you've become just like your mom when you start displaying framed artwork that bears folksy messages like "Live, Laugh, Love."

"It's a weird full circle," she said. "There's a lot of fun stories in this show, and it's an interactive show. I'm talking with the audience more. I give someone a mic at some point and let others tell stories. It's pretty fun. I've been getting a lot of great feedback from the people who've come out this first month."

In her affable, leisurely paced North Carolina voice, with a laugh always around the corner, Feimster's early evening phone interview Feb. 21 pointed out how busy she's become. The following morning, she needed to be on set for a movie she'll appear in starring Jennifer Garner.

As a cast member, she'll play a smart, sarcastic CIA agent in Netflix's upcoming, still-untitled  Arnold Schwarzenegger  spy adventure series, and is set to star in two features "Bad Cop, Bad Cop” and “Field Trip,” which she wrote and were acquired by Steven Spielberg’s production company, Amblin.

Feimster also voices the popular-in-school Olive character in HBO Max's animated "Velma," starring Mindy Kaling, with whom she previously worked on the Fox/Hulu series "The Mindy Project."

More: We're talking with the Talking Heads' Jerry Harrison about tour with Adrian Belew

From being a panelist on "Chelsea Lately," to appearing in the comedy film “Office Christmas Party,” to co-hosting a daily SiriusXM radio show to guest stints on "2 Broke Girls" and "Glee," Feimster has given people many ways to discover her talents.

"I obviously have a very distinguishable look. I don't look like other people, and I have this big hair and Southern accent, so I do get recognized a lot," Feimster said. "So, I'm always curious 'How do you guys know me?' and 'From what thing?' and it always runs the gamut."

Her second Netflix comedy, "Good Fortune," debuted in October 2022, and became a pivotal career achievement, earning raves from sites like Decider, which said “Feimster remains the fun aunt, cousin, or friend you want to sidle up to at the party.”

One topic Feimster joked about in "Good Fortune," and subsequent TV talk show appearances, is how she strived for the perfect, most romantic way to propose to Jacquelyn ― including candles and rose petals. That extravagant proposal hit unforeseen snags, like when the scattered rose petals looked more like a crime scene.

More: Rock with Donnie Iris as he celebrates the big 8-0

"It was a crazy weekend, but it makes for a very memorable story," Feimster said.

Two-plus years in, how's marriage treating the couple?

"It's really good. I feel like if you can get through a pandemic with somebody you really know you can go the distance," Feimster said. "She's awesome. We're such a team at this point. I'm really lucky to have someone like her."

If Jax is cleared by doctors to travel, Feimster concertgoers might also get a glimpse of Biggie, their beloved 7-pound Pomeranian.

Feimster hopes her comedy concerts bring people together, proving to audiences of all ages, backgrounds and sexual orientations that common ground is only a joke or two away.

"The show is silly and fun. My goal is for people to leave the show feeling better than when they got there," she said. "If people want that, hopefully they'll come check it out."

Comedian to Appear in 20+ Cities Across U.S.

Cobb Energy Centre – Friday, March 24

Feimster Featured on CBS Saturday and in PEOPLE Magazine , On Stands Now

Comedian, writer, and actress Fortune Feimster  announces her new Live Laugh Love! tour. Like her recently released hour-long Netflix special, Good Fortune , her live show captures the hearts of viewers and critics alike. Tickets for the 2023 tour go on sale Friday, Nov. 4 at 10 a.m. local time at FortuneFeimster.com .

“There is nothing better than performing live and with every tour the shows just get more and more fun. I can’t wait to get back on the road and share new stories about my life and family,” shares Feimster. “I named the tour ‘Live Laugh Love!’ because of those infamous signs you see in a lot of mom’s homes…my mom being no exception. And when I got older, I realized I too had one of those signs and thought ‘uh oh, I’m becoming my mom.’ What that means will be revealed on the tour. Plus, who doesn’t want to live, laugh, and love?” Affable, charismatic, and one of a kind, Feimster uses her confessional comedy to bring people together. Through laughter and storytelling, she shows audiences of all ages, backgrounds, and sexual orientations that common ground is only a joke or two away. She has expanded on that commonality with her new special, “Good Fortune,” with Decider noting, “Feimster remains the fun aunt, cousin, or friend you want to sidle up to at the party.” Beginning Jan. 27, fans can do just that, as CBS News opines the comedian is, “having a moment.” She brings stories from her life along with lots of laugher and love to over 20 cities across the U.S. from Portland, Maine, to Atlanta, Georgia, and Charleston, South Carolina to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Compliance status

We firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone, and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability.

To fulfill this, we aim to adhere as strictly as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities. Complying with those guidelines helps us ensure that the website is accessible to all people: blind people, people with motor impairments, visual impairment, cognitive disabilities, and more.

This website utilizes various technologies that are meant to make it as accessible as possible at all times. We utilize an accessibility interface that allows persons with specific disabilities to adjust the website’s UI (user interface) and design it to their personal needs.

Additionally, the website utilizes an AI-based application that runs in the background and optimizes its accessibility level constantly. This application remediates the website’s HTML, adapts Its functionality and behavior for screen-readers used by the blind users, and for keyboard functions used by individuals with motor impairments.

If you’ve found a malfunction or have ideas for improvement, we’ll be happy to hear from you. You can reach out to the website’s operators by using the following email

Screen-reader and keyboard navigation

Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various different behavioral changes, to ensure blind users visiting with screen-readers are able to read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively. Here’s how our website covers some of the most important screen-reader requirements, alongside console screenshots of code examples:

Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups), and others. Additionally, the background process scans all of the website’s images and provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag for images that are not described. It will also extract texts that are embedded within the image, using an OCR (optical character recognition) technology. To turn on screen-reader adjustments at any time, users need only to press the Alt+1 keyboard combination. Screen-reader users also get automatic announcements to turn the Screen-reader mode on as soon as they enter the website.

These adjustments are compatible with all popular screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.

Keyboard navigation optimization: The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML, and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the website using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, operate dropdowns with the arrow keys, close them with Esc, trigger buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio and checkbox elements using the arrow keys, and fill them in with the Spacebar or Enter key.Additionally, keyboard users will find quick-navigation and content-skip menus, available at any time by clicking Alt+1, or as the first elements of the site while navigating with the keyboard. The background process also handles triggered popups by moving the keyboard focus towards them as soon as they appear, and not allow the focus drift outside of it.

Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.

Disability profiles supported in our website

  • Epilepsy Safe Mode: this profile enables people with epilepsy to use the website safely by eliminating the risk of seizures that result from flashing or blinking animations and risky color combinations.
  • Visually Impaired Mode: this mode adjusts the website for the convenience of users with visual impairments such as Degrading Eyesight, Tunnel Vision, Cataract, Glaucoma, and others.
  • Cognitive Disability Mode: this mode provides different assistive options to help users with cognitive impairments such as Dyslexia, Autism, CVA, and others, to focus on the essential elements of the website more easily.
  • ADHD Friendly Mode: this mode helps users with ADHD and Neurodevelopmental disorders to read, browse, and focus on the main website elements more easily while significantly reducing distractions.
  • Blindness Mode: this mode configures the website to be compatible with screen-readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. A screen-reader is software for blind users that is installed on a computer and smartphone, and websites must be compatible with it.
  • Keyboard Navigation Profile (Motor-Impaired): this profile enables motor-impaired persons to operate the website using the keyboard Tab, Shift+Tab, and the Enter keys. Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.

Additional UI, design, and readability adjustments

  • Font adjustments – users, can increase and decrease its size, change its family (type), adjust the spacing, alignment, line height, and more.
  • Color adjustments – users can select various color contrast profiles such as light, dark, inverted, and monochrome. Additionally, users can swap color schemes of titles, texts, and backgrounds, with over 7 different coloring options.
  • Animations – epileptic users can stop all running animations with the click of a button. Animations controlled by the interface include videos, GIFs, and CSS flashing transitions.
  • Content highlighting – users can choose to emphasize important elements such as links and titles. They can also choose to highlight focused or hovered elements only.
  • Audio muting – users with hearing devices may experience headaches or other issues due to automatic audio playing. This option lets users mute the entire website instantly.
  • Cognitive disorders – we utilize a search engine that is linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary, allowing people with cognitive disorders to decipher meanings of phrases, initials, slang, and others.
  • Additional functions – we provide users the option to change cursor color and size, use a printing mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and many other functions.

Browser and assistive technology compatibility

We aim to support the widest array of browsers and assistive technologies as possible, so our users can choose the best fitting tools for them, with as few limitations as possible. Therefore, we have worked very hard to be able to support all major systems that comprise over 95% of the user market share including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera and Microsoft Edge, JAWS and NVDA (screen readers), both for Windows and for MAC users.

Notes, comments, and feedback

Despite our very best efforts to allow anybody to adjust the website to their needs, there may still be pages or sections that are not fully accessible, are in the process of becoming accessible, or are lacking an adequate technological solution to make them accessible. Still, we are continually improving our accessibility, adding, updating and improving its options and features, and developing and adopting new technologies. All this is meant to reach the optimal level of accessibility, following technological advancements. For any assistance, please reach out to

The actress posted videos of her singing and dancing to the pop star’s hit songs while wearing a shirt that read “Taylor” on it. She also wrote in the caption, “Last night was UNREAL! @taylorswift The Eras tour.”

Fortune Feimster went to the last night of Swift’s first U.S. leg of the Eras Tour. The comedian shared a video on Instagram, featuring clips from the entire night, writing in the caption. “What an incredible show from @taylorswift last night. She gave a 3.5 hour performance and didn’t even break a sweat. The Eras Tour definitely lived up to the hype.”

David Harbour

When David Harbour took his stepdaughter to see Taylor Swift in Minneapolis, he asked someone if there was a chance they would be able to meet the “Anti-Hero” singer and was told she was leaving right after the show, so he didn’t have high hopes. But Swift didn’t leave them hanging. “We sat there for about 30 minutes of the opener, and then a woman came out with a letter, and it was, you know, addressed to me and my stepdaughter, and it was a handwritten letter on a particular stationery,” written by the artist herself, he recalled on the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast . “She did say in the letter at one point, ‘I’ll give you a wave from the stage,’ and at one point, during the beginning of one of her numbers, she did turn to our little booth and [wave].”
