Reviewed – Osaka Pro Tour 100 Hockey Stick

Now, how does the Osaka Pro Tour 100 hockey stick perform? Most noticeable is how the soft-touch grip dampens the shocks from tackles and miss-hits. I found the stick to be  well balanced  with quite a large sweet spot. The low bow makes it easy to lift the ball, perfect for shooting at goal. For tighter play, the feedback while dribbling gives you confidence. I found my reverse edge tomahawk was spot on every time thanks to a large sweet spot.

While the power transfer on slap shots was impressive, I did find it hard to keep the ball planted. A problem well and truly made up for by the extra confidence you’ll have during  aerials, slap hitting, and drag flicking.

While this is not an entry-level hockey stick, if you want to give yourself an advantage, the Osaka Pro Tour 100 range will have your teammates wondering what hockey camp you went to over the offseason!

The Osaka Proto bow is the ultimate specialist stick, shaped to maximize the potential of FIH specifications. The maximum bow point lies at 200mm from the head with a maximal height of 24mm, like the low bow. Its combination with a very aggressive, slimmed down profile ensures incredible speed and control. MODEL NAME: OSAKA HOCKEY PRO TOUR 100 PROTO BOW

• To find the size of a hockey stick, measure from the Belly Button to the Floor in inches. For further info, see the Hockey Stick Sizing Blog.
• The Lower the bow on the stick, the easier it is to get the ball in the air. For further info, see the Hockey Stick Bend Blog.
• Wooden hockey sticks are perfect for first-time hockey sticks. It is also appropriate for people who only need to do hockey for the school.
• Fiberglass hockey sticks are the entry-level composite sticks used only on astro turf hockey pitches. Otherwise, they will wear too quickly. They proved more hitting power over the wooden sticks while remaining soft!
• Carbon Hockey sticks are designed to give you more power with less physical effort. For further info, see the Hockey Stick Carbon Blog.
• We always recommend working up the carbon points rather than jumping up too far. Otherwise, the stick might not feel appropriate when playing with it.

At Total-Hockey , we use the easiest and simplest method, the 'Belly Button' method. All you need for this to work is a measuring tape and the player that needs a new stick size.

To get the right length, this method requires you to use a measuring tape to measure from the middle of the belly button to the floor in inches. That is it, how simple was that!

Now you have the distance between the belly button and the floor in inches; you have to equate that now to stick lengths. You can match the measures sized in the table below and find the adequate stick size for you.

The stick lengths of 36.5" and 37.5" are adult-length hockey sticks. If you fall in that category, we recommend choosing the length of a hockey stick on which size feels more comfortable to hold and play with.

We suggest coming into one of our stores to physically hold the adult hockey stick to see which size will feel the nicest. If you can't get to one of our stores , have a feel of one of your teammate’s hockey sticks to see which size is the most comfortable for you!

Monday To Friday

• If ordered before 2pm the order will be dispatched the same day where possible, unless it is a public holiday
• If you order after 2pm there is no guarantee that the order will be dispatched on the same day, but we will try our very best to get it out on the day, if not it will leave us the next working day.

Saturday To Sunday

• If the order is placed late Friday, Saturday or Sunday we will aim to dispatch this order on Monday, unless it is a Bank Holiday, then it will be on the Tuesday.

Public Holiday

• We cannot send out any orders on a Bank Holiday, the order will be dispatched the next working day.

All our Express Deliveries are delivered by Carrier.

Our Carriers deliver from Monday to Friday.

If an Express Order is sent out on Friday then you will receive the package on Monday. If the Monday is a Bank Holiday then you will receive the package on the next Working Day.

The Osaka Show Bow is the best dribbling shape in the world. The maximum bow point lies at 250mm from the head with a maximal height of 24mm. This creates a next generation shape with a slim and dynamic profile, ideal for modern technical play-styles. The design is focused on 3D ball control first, followed closely by flicking and shooting.

The head features a 45 degree angle with Kevlar reinforcement, with a aramid backhand blade reinforcement to the shaft. The handle has a 1.5mm VibraStop foam layer underneath the Osaka Pro Touch grip.
