Tour Edge HL4 Driver Review

50 Words or Less

The Tour Edge HL4 driver offers golfers huge value.  Great forgiveness.  Light and easy to hit.  Low spin.  Custom fitting options at $200.

Introduction

As other companies push the prices of their drivers well past the $500 threshold, Tour Edge is going the other way.  Their HL4 line includes a driver that retails for $199…with custom fitting!

It’s natural to be skeptical of the performance at a price like that, so we tested it to see where it stands among today’s best drivers.

Setting the Tour Edge HL4 driver down, the first thing I noticed was how long the head is.  It’s like a mini torpedo setting up to nuke the golf ball.  The shape skews slightly toward the heel, but the alignment aid is small and centered.

When I looked at the driver face on, I was struck by the asymmetry of the hitting surface .  The heel is very full, where the toe side gets slimmer and favors the crown.  My guess is that this design is meant to accommodate the most common misses: high toe and low heel.

Finally, I really like the sole design .  Often, lower priced clubs look like lower priced clubs.  This sole has a premium finish and clean branding, no garish colors or design.  Kudos to Tour Edge.

Sound & Feel

The Hot Launch 4 makes a big impression with its impact sound.  You’ll hear a loud metallic “crack” as the ball rockets away.  Substantial misses will be met with a quieter sound, but shots near the center sound quite similar.

Despite being a large, stable head, there is good feedback through the hands.  After just a short time, I was able to easily locate all my shots.

Performance

After my recent experience with the HL4 fairway wood (review HERE ), my expectations for the HL4 driver were quite high.  This club did not disappoint.

From the first range session, I could see that the Hot Launch 4 was consistent .  The stock UST Mamiya was not a great fit for me, but that gave the head’s forgiveness a chance to shine.  My ball speed was steady from shot to shot even when I wasn’t hitting it flush.  This is the result of the HL4’s Variable Face Thickness and Titanium Cup Face.

The other thing that was very consistent was the high launch and low spin .  This head has a very deep center of gravity, so it wants to put the ball onto high trajectories.  With the low spin, drives tend to flatten out after initial launch, carry, and then run out.  Being a low spin player, I even saw a few range balls knuckle from lack of spin when I hit a draw.

The Tour Edge HL4 driver comes in two varieties .  The straight neck , seen here, comes in lofts of 9.5, 10.5, and 12 degrees.  For those that need help fighting a slice, there is an offset model available in 10.5, 12, and 13.5 degrees.

Tour Edge had already set a very high bar for value with their Exotics EXS driver (review HERE ), but they may have raised it even higher with the HL4 driver.  With a number of custom fitting options and a price of $199, this is a must try for any golfer who wants to get the most yards per dollar.

Thanks for the review, Matt. It’s nice to see a Driver can perform without having to fork over what is now approaching and exceeding $ 500 per club. You chose your words carefully. While complimenting the Driver’s performance (consistency and “runout”) , you fell short of saying it was as long as your gamer or other “premium” Drivers in the category. Generally speaking, how did it stack up length-wise?

' src=

The shaft in the HL4 driver is not an ideal fit for me, so it was short of my PING. With a better fit shaft, I think it could go head to head with more expensive drivers.

' src=

Tour Edge is on a roll. The HL driver is a good looking club and the line’s pricing and fitting options should give other club makers something to think about.

' src=

interested in tour edge hl4 driver. price to australia. 10.5, regular flex,

I would suggest contacting Tour Edge or a Tour Edge distributor.

' src=

How does one determine if they are a low spin or high spin player? When I’m in a shaft that fits me, my driver spin is between 2000-2300 with club head speed around 110 and ball speed around 160. If I have a shaft that is too soft it’s around 4000. Is there a stock flex you should hit and get numbers with to figure out if you are low, high, medium?

I would work with a fitter to try a variety of shafts and see where my average spin is. Seems like you’re mid/high spin based on what you said here.

' src=

Hi, do they offer any other shafts?

To my knowledge, there’s only one stock shaft option.

' src=

Would you recommend the HL4 or the EXS driver for a mid handicapper. Right now there is only about a $49 difference in price. How do they compare as far as forgiveness

For a $49 difference, I would go for the EXS primarily on the quality of the shaft in the EXS. Forgiveness is pretty close, both are very good.

Golf driver faq, golf driver's buying guide, what things should you look for when you pick a golf driver.

Golf Drivers

In addition to the head size, you also need to think about the shaft material. Shafts come in different materials, from steel to titanium. The weight will impact your swing, which means it is an important selection consideration. Shaft length is important as well. The ideal shaft length can vary from player to player and can mean the difference between hitting long bombs that help the ball reach the green or hitting wild shots off the tee that invite the ball to take a permanent vacation in the woods or water trap.

Finally, you want to consider the loft. The loft is the angle of the clubface relative to the shaft. The loft is an important factor to consider in driver selection, and it will affect the ball flight trajectory and distance. Also, getting a club fitting at your local pro shop can help you determine what driver metrics can improve your game off the tee!

What should I know about the shaft options for drivers?

Shafts come in different materials, from steel to titanium. The weight will impact your swing, which means it is an important selection consideration. Shaft length is important as well. The ideal shaft length can vary from player to player and can mean the difference between hitting long bombs that help the ball reach the green or hitting wild shots off the tee that invite the ball to take a permanent vacation in the woods or water trap.

How does the driver's head size affect my game?

Larger heads provide more forgiveness on off-center hits, while smaller heads offer more control for experienced players.

Are there specific drivers recommended for high handicappers?

Look for drivers with higher loft, larger sweet spots, and features that enhance forgiveness.

What is the best material for a golf driver?

The use of titanium and graphite offers strength and durability without the weight of steel or traditional woods. Because of this, drivers made from these materials make an excellent choice.

Are there illegal golf drivers?

The United States Golf Association has regulations on golf drivers. These regulate the size of the clubface and the shaft length. This does not mean you cannot go a few rounds on the course with a club that does not meet USGA standards. It just means they are not allowed in tournament play.

When should I replace my golf driver?

Depending on your club usage, they may need to be replaced every 2 to 5 years. One important thing to look for is wear and tear on the club. These are signs that it may be time to look for that replacement club.

What is the sweet spot of a golf driver?

The sweet spot of the golf driver club is the area on the clubface that provides the optimal ball impact point. Simply put, this is the area of the club that will provide the best ball flight results off the tee. Many believe that on a golf driver, a larger sweet spot is better. By using stronger but lighter materials, golf manufacturers have been able to create drivers that have a large head and sweet spot without negatively impacting a golfer's swing.

Does swing speed matter when I select a driver?

Swing speed is another important factor when choosing your golf driver. Many driver specifications can impact swing speed like shaft material, weight, and length. The driver's head shape, material, and weight can also impact swing speed. In short, a faster swing speed can translate into a longer ball flight off the tee.

What are adjustable drivers and what advantages do they offer?

Many clubs are designed to allow adjustments that can help improve shot performance. These adjustments may include the clubhead loft angle and weight distribution. These options open up a whole range of possibilities for the more experienced golfer.

What should a beginner look for when purchasing a driver?

A beginner should look for the most "forgiving" driver. A driver with a bigger sweet spot and a driver that will help the ball find its target even if the shot isn't perfectly hit.

Are there golf drivers that help prevent a slice?

One dreaded mistake when hitting a ball is curving it high and to the right (for a right-handed player). The official term is the slice. Some clubs are designed to help counter a slice right out of the package. And if you have an adjustable driver head, redistributing the weight in the head can help counter a swing style that tends to slice.

Tour Edge HL4: “Get Fit. Spend Less. Play Better.”

While getting fit for golf clubs isn’t a new concept, the advances in technologies such as cameras and launch monitors have allowed the fitting world to explode in recent years.  Golfers are now able to test endless combinations of club heads and exotic shafts to optimize their performance and improve their games.  There’s no question that these modern fitting services are proving to be valuable to many golfers of all skill levels.  However, there are a variety of reasons that more players may not utilize these types of services.  Some common reasons are intimidation of the process, costs, and complexity.  Well Tour Edge Golf may have a nice alternative with their new Tour Edge HL4 club line and their simplified fitting process.

Head to Tour Edge

The Tour Edge HL4 Philosophy

“Get fit.  Spend Less.  Play better.”  That’s Tour Edge’s tagline for the new HL4 club lineup.  Tour Edge also understands that there are many (literally millions) of players that view cost and complexity as an obstacle in golf club purchasing.  While big proponents of smart club fitting, Tour Edge wanted to create a simple and affordable fitting process for their HL4 clubs.  Additionally, Tour Edge looked to create a line of clubs to fit a wider range of players without breaking the bank.  The end result is being able to offer a quality club with a practical fitting process at a wallet-friendly price .

While Tour Edge fully agrees there’s a time and place for deep-dive fittings, they wanted to utilize a simplified process for HL4.  They offer four expanded custom fitting options across the HL4 line.  Those options are lie angle, shaft flex, shaft length, and grip size.  Tour Edge’s fitting bag at your local establishment will have all driver, fairway, hybrid, and iron options available for testing.  From there, the pro or fitter will be able to help determine what adjustments are needed to optimize your performance.  Your fitter will then place your order with Tour Edge and they’ll start building your new custom HL4 clubs.  A mere 48 hours later and Tour Edge will have your new sticks delivered anywhere in the continental US.   More importantly, you’ll be out on the course with quality, custom-fit equipment while saving quite a bit of cash.

Tour Edge HQ

DRH Heads to Tour Edge for a Fitting

Tour Edge aims to make high-quality product with a simplified approach that works for anyone that wants to play golf.  Simple as that.  This ranges from Tour legends to the common player that struggles to hit the ball in the air.  We took three players out to Tour Edge HQ to learn more about the HL4 lineup and go through the HL4 fitting process.  Our goal was to fit and test with a range of skills and abilities from beginner to advanced.  This would be a good assessment of Tour Edge’s simplified fitting process as well as the ability of HL4 to meet the needs of a wide range of skill sets.

HL4 Fitting 1

The Players

Our first player (“the “beginner”) wasn’t completely brand new to golf, but wouldn’t consider himself a lifelong player.   He’s played 18 holes of golf before, but has never taken lessons nor invested in the game seriously.  In his more recent adult years, he’s wanted to take the game up and “become more competent around a golf course.”  This player was looking for something to help get the ball in the air and moving forward.  Given the forgiveness and options of the HL4 lineup, this player was a great candidate.

The second player is a competent golfer, but doesn’t get out much these days.   While generally pretty straight, he can miss right and lacks distance.  His goal was to find something easy to swing to get the ball launching and find more length.  The hope being that the added length will help him keep up with his sons out on longer courses.

Our third player is also losing some distance in his later years, but can still get the club around.   The key for him was to get a little forgiveness, optimal spin, and better launch at his club speed.  Ultimately, the goal was to combine these three things into longer and more consistent drives.

Tour Edge HL4 Fitting Experience

Working with Steve Fedderen at Tour Edge HQ allowed us the luxury of using a Trackman.  Steve first spent time discussing each player’s game and what they were looking to accomplish.  The next step was to hit some balls to build a baseline based on their current drivers.  By hitting on the Trackman, Steve was able to get a clear picture based on lots of shot data.  This included club and ball speeds, attack angles, face angles, launch angle, spin, distances, dispersion, etc.  Based on said data, Steve was able to change out clubs and make suggestions for improvement.

HL4 Fitting 6

The most noticeable factor here was how easy Steve made it for the players to understand the data and why changes made certain impacts .  This is extremely valuable with any club fitter whether it’s a super complex detailed fitting or a more simplified “every man’s” fitting as utilized by the HL4 clubs.  An experience like this will not only make you more confident in your investment, but will also help make you a better player.  While observing the whole process, I felt this made each player feel more open to changes Steve wanted to make.  As a result, there were night and day differences following their fittings.  By the end of the fitting, all three players had more consistent flights and longer distances.   In the case of our “beginner,”  he went from struggling to even hit the ball to hitting solid ropes.

Ultimately, the fitting process itself was quick, easy to understand, and definitely impactful.  Our first two players both ended up in the Offset model of the HL4 driver with 10.5º of loft.  The offset hosel helped both players square the face at impact for straighter shots.  Our third player, clocking in at 6’4″, was fit for the standard model at 10.5º, +.5″ in length, and a mid-size grip.  A quick call down to the build shop and our three players were on their way with their brand new drivers and newfound confidence in their tee game.  (Not a bad turnaround, eh?)

Tour Edge HL4 Fitting 10

Post-Fitting Follow Ups

After getting fit for their new Tour Edge HL4 drivers, our players went away and put the equipment to the test.  After having enough time to get some thorough on-course experience, we followed up to see how the HL4 driver has worked out for them so far.

Player 1 was actually the player I was most interested in observing throughout the process.  Simply put, he’s not very good and he wouldn’t tell you otherwise.  I naturally expected him to come into the fitting and leave with something more forgiving.  What I didn’t expect was the rapid improvement I witnessed.  The combination of the 10.5º of loft and the offset helped him consistently strike around the center of the face and get the ball in the air, which he considered a major victory in itself.  On the course and driving range, he continued to see similar improvements.  Player 1 specifically noted that he now felt confident that he “could at least hit the ball out there a little bit in the air and have a fighting chance” off the tee.  He considered that a successful result and I fully agreed.

Going into this process, I think Player 2 was the toughest nut to crack.  He wasn’t necessarily struggling, he just wanted more distance and some help with his miss to the right.  The HL4 driver with 10.5º of loft and offset neck gave him consistent launch and held the ball in the air a little bit better to get more carry.  He didn’t completely remove his right miss, but saw noticeable improvement.

My recent follow up discussions with Player 2 indicate that he’s liked what he has seen so far, but he’s still adjusting and getting used to the club given his playing schedule.  His biggest takeaway has been that even if he isn’t adding a bunch of distance, the HL4 is easier for him to hit consistently straight and more forgiving than anything he’s played in awhile .

Player 3’s biggest takeaway has been the optimization he achieved through the fitting process.  When he grooved his old gamer and everything fell into place, the results were fine.  Lightning in a bottle.  The problem is, this is tough for him to repeat from tee box to tee box with that club.  Since being fitted for his new HL4 driver, he finds he can consistently launch the ball through the same window without fighting the club.  His HL4 setup makes it easy for him to get the ball in the air with a reflexive swing .  With enough spin to hold his ball in the air, but a low enough spin rate to prevent balloons and still get some rollout, Player 3 is finding consistently longer distances and more fairways hit.

Tour Edge HL4 Fitting 5

Final Thoughts & Takeaways

After working with Tour Edge and our panel of golfers, I grew a stronger appreciation for what Tour Edge is contributing to golf.  Watching these three players testing the Tour Edge HL4 clubs, and maybe taking a few whacks myself, was a testament to how good this equipment is and its unbelievable value .

The HL4 clubs are extremely easy to hit, feel good, and the performance holds up with much higher-priced equipment across the industry.  Add in some simple customization based on an educated fitting, and good luck finding a better value on the market.  Following this process, I firmly believe the Tour Edge HL4 club lineup is exactly what the golf industry needs to make quality equipment more accessible to more players.  “Get fit.  Spend Less.  Play better.”

Tour Edge HL 4 Golf Club Set Review

tour edge driver hl4

Choosing a complete golf club set is never as easy as it should be. Unless you’ve had your eye on a specific set for a long time, it can be difficult to choose a set that is both pleasing to the eyes, desirable and one that will actually help improve your game.

The Tour Edge HL 4 set has everything a golfer needs to go from a beginner towards becoming a mid handicapper, the perfect blend of high quality clubs which will eliminate any distance gaps from your game and allow to improve tenfold without the expense of sourcing premium clubs separately from the top manufacturers.

It doesn’t get any easier the more you play either. Whether you’re a high handicapper or looking to take your game to the next level, it can be very hard to choose that next complete set that will take your game to the next level. For the former category of player though, we have put together a helpful review of one popular set.

The Tour Edge HL 4 Golf Club Set Overview

If you are a high to mid handicapper, you may just find your next set in the Tour Edge HL 4. HL stands for hot launch and it definitely provides a lot of what beginners to mid handicappers need: distance. These are definitely distance clubs that will help you get to the pin in a hurry.

Our First Impressions

Right off the bat, we were impressed and honestly a little intimidated when we first laid eye son the complete HL 4 set.

Impressed because these clubs look beautiful. Intimidated because it appeared that every club in the bag was oversized.

Who is the Set for?

There’s no mistaking who the Tour Edge HL 4 clubs were made for. Everything about their design screams distance.

If you are having trouble getting the distance you should be getting from your woods and long irons, this is a set that can help.

Breaking Down The Complete Set

tour edge driver hl4

The driver features a sloped crown and a titanium head that offers a better strength to weight ratio than stainless steel.

It also includes a slightly curved face for added forgiveness. It comes with a 460cc head size and can be had in 9.5, 10.5 or 12 degree loft versions

Fairway Woods

tour edge driver hl4

You can get an HL 4 number three fairway wood at 15 degrees, a 4 wood at 17, a 5 wood at 19 and or a 7 wood at 22.

They all feature a pear shape head design and extra weight in the rear of the sole for higher launch and forgiveness.

tour edge driver hl4

The shallow face and higher-sitting toe make the HL 4 hybrids forgiving. This design effectively broadens the sweet spot.

You can get a #3 hybrid at 19 degrees, a #4 at 22, a #5 at 25 or a #6 at 28 degrees of loft.

tour edge driver hl4

The longer blades and deeper undercut cavities are perfect for beginners and mid handicappers.

The soft stainless steel construction is also congenial for players working to master their irons. You can get irons 4-9 in a complete HL 4 set.

tour edge driver hl4

The milled grooves of the HL 4 wedges help you control spin on the green while the beveled leading edge helps smooth out turf interaction.

tour edge driver hl4

The Hot Launch putter is a mallet-style putter with a face insert with micro-etched grooves to improve feedback, feel and accuracy.

Club Composition

The Tour edge HL 4 driver, hybrid and fairway woods come standard with a UST Mamiya shaft that is available in ladies, amateur, regular and senior flex. The irons come with either the aforementioned UST Mamiya shafts or KBS Tour 90 Steel shafts in regular and senior flex.

Wedges are available in UST Mamiya or KBS Tour 90 steel shafts in regular, ladies, steel and amateur flex. All clubs are available in Lamkin Z5 Rubber slim and mid-sized grips.

Aside from the shaft and flex options, the Tour Edge HL 4 clubs feature an oversized design. We liked that the soles were commensurate with the overall size of the blades in the irons and wedges. This helped smooth out turf interaction.

The larger blades may also inspire more confidence in beginner players at point of address. Overall, the composition designs added a good amount of forgiveness to most of the clubs in this set.

Other Sets Worth Considering

Callaway strata golf set.

Strata Golf Clubs

The Callaway Strata golf club set comes with 2 hybrids which, many beginner players will find convenient as longer irons are notoriously hard to master when you’re first starting out.

The complete set includes driver, a 3 and 4 wood, two hybrids, irons 4-9, wedges and a putter but also comes with various different club mixes.

This is a great set for beginners overall because it’s inexpensive and has some of the advanced features that Callaway has become famous for.

  • Putter includes precision face milling
  • Oversized 460cc driver head
  • Very affordable set for beginners
  • Beefy hosels
  • Set doesn’t come with a stand bag

Overall Score: 94/100

Cobra xl golf set.

tour edge driver hl4

The Cobra XL Speed complete golf club set features a titanium driver for increased flex without sacrificing stability. The shallow fairway woods feature heel weighting for increased MOI and forgiveness. The set is rounded out with cavity back irons that launch high and play long.

All of this amounts to a set of clubs that plays very fast. The face on the woods and irons offer explosive speed but none of the clubs lack stability. The club head design of this set ensures that the faces can flex as much as they need to without harshing feel.

  • Set has advanced features for intermediate players
  • It’s available in both right and left-handed orientations
  • All the clubs in the set feature an attractive gold/black color scheme
  • A bit pricey
  • Not the best complete set for beginners or high handicappers

Taylormade RBZ Golf Set

tour edge driver hl4

The Taylormade RBZ set features a 460cc driver with a fast-launching face and lightweight crown. The wedges in this set also feature smooth sole grinds to help you glide through the turf on tough lies.

Now this is a set that was certainly designed for more advanced players. There are features in the woods that probably only faster swing players will be able to take advantage of. They are worth a look if you are looking to invest in clubs that can keep up with you as your game improves, though.

  • High volume grooves on the wedges
  • Perimeter weighted irons
  • The driver plays very long
  • Not great for beginners
  • Limited flex options

Overall Score: 96/100

Final thoughts.

While the Tour Edge HL 4 clubs lack work ability as you get closer to the pin, one thing is certain: they can actually get you to the pin faster. Overall they play long enough to inspire hope in the most troubled beginner’s struggling with accuracy and distance.

They also launch high to help get you over dreaded hazards. The wedges even provide good spin control for more advanced players. Overall, this is a great set for beginners and mid handicappers so check it out!

Tour edge's hl4 driver delivers power at a budget-friendly price, share this article.

tour edge driver hl4

Gear: Tour Edge HL4 driver Price: $199.99 with UST Mamiya shaft and Lamkin Z5 grip Specs: Forged 6-4 titanium body with variable-thickness cup-face design. 9.5, 10.5 and 12 degrees (standard); 10.5, 12, and 13.5 (offset version) Available: August 1

Tour Edge’s Exotics line of clubs is made with a spare-no-expense philosophy and utilizes multi-material designs and the latest technologies. At the same time, Tour Edge is not abandoning golfers who can’t afford those clubs. The company touts the HL family as being the most solid investment in golf, and with the release of the HL4 driver, Tour Edge again tries to bring game-improving technologies to players at a budget-friendly price.

Forged from 6-4 titanium, the new HL4 driver (HL stands for Hot Launch) is designed to be a point-and-shoot bomber. It has a titanium cup-face design that is thicker in the center and thinner around the edges to broaden the sweet spot and protect ball speed on mis-hits. The crown also aerodynamically slopes from front to back to help golfers generate more speed with the same amount of effort.

By making the HL4 deeper from face to back and adding a weight in the back of the sole, Tour Edge pulled the center of gravity down and farther back, away from the hitting area. This should help golfers produce a higher launch, but the biggest benefit is a higher moment of inertia. Tour Edge said the MOI in the HL4 is 12 percent higher than the HL3, the driver it replaces, so it is significantly more stable and resists twisting at impact more effectively.

Tour Edge HL4 Offset

Tour Edge will offer the HL4 driver in an offset version. (Tour Edge)

In addition to the standard HL4 driver, Tour Edge will offer an offset version of the club. By adding offset and positioning the clubface slightly back, golfers who tend to make contact with an open face should be able to square the hitting area to their target line more quickly and hit straighter shots.

Tour Edge Introduces Two New HL4 Drivers with Extreme MOI Properties

Tour Edge HL4 Drivers

Tour Edge announced the launch of their new line of Hot Launch 4 drivers featuring completely new designs and technology that is made to produce high MOI properties. As the name clearly suggests, the HL4 drivers are the fourth release in the award-winning Hot Launch series from Tour Edge’s founder and master club designer David Glod. The complete Hl4 lineup will be available nationwide and globally on August 1st, featuring everything from drivers to irons at a mid-tier price point.

“We have spent the last 18 months looking at how to improve the best performance value drivers in the game and the end result is an all new shape that has an MOI that rivals that of a $500 driver. It’s an extremely forgiving design that all levels of players can benefit from. This is an early release to a product line that we developed for 2020.” – David Glod, President & Master Club Designer

HL4 Drivers Specs

The HL4 drivers come in a straight version and an offset version, both of which feature a forged titanium head and Cup Face technology. The latter increases the amount of face flexing for increased club and ball speeds.

The straight neck HL4 driver comes in a 9.5, 10.5 and 12-degree lofts, while the HL4 Offset driver will be available in 10.5, 12 and 13.5-degree lofts. The 10.5-degree HL4 Offset will be available in left-handed. This will make my buddy Patrick very happy.

Tour Edge HL4 Driver Technology:

  • Offset hosel available for maximum slice-fighting control
  • Forged 6-4 Titanium
  • Super-High MOI Sloped Crown
  • Titanium Cup Face technology works in conjunction with Variable Face Thickness technology to provide maximum power from more contact points on the face
  • Further back weight placement in the rear sole weight creates a deep CG
  • Wider and deeper Power Channel technology maximizes face flex.
  • High Launch lofts are available in 10.5, 12 and 13.5 degrees
  • Upgraded UST shaft
  • Upgraded Lamkin Z5 multi-compound grip
  • Expanded custom fitting options

Hot Launch 4 Custom Fitting

Tour Edge has made it clear that they are looking to capitalize on the growing golf trend of customization. They’re just looking to bring it to more golfers by offering a more affordable solution. “That is why we created our 48-hour custom fitting delivery guarantee and why we are making a significant commitment to advertise HL4 heavily on the Golf Channel and elsewhere with the message of Get Fit. Spend Less. Play Better. We want to open up custom fitting to thousands of new golfers who are looking for innovation and performance at logical prices,” said Glod.

To bring Glod’s vision to life, Tour Edge has planned to open over 750 custom fitting centers across the country featuring the mobile HL4 custom fitting bag and their industry leading 48-hour guaranteed delivery on custom fit orders. The process works like this: the customer gets fitted with HL4 clubs at a custom fitting center, orders that get turned into Tour Edge by 2:30 PM Central will immediately start getting built at Tour Edge headquarters in Batavia, IL, then shipped to any continental U.S. state in 48-hours time, either to the customer directly or back to the Tour Edge fitting location where the order began.

As mentioned previously, the Tour Edge HL4 drivers will be made available August 1st, so be sure to find yourself a custom fitting center near you so you can get fitted. I know I will be!

/content/dam/images/golfdigest/fullset/2024/2/C524-Fairway-Back-02.png

Looking to learn what you need to know about the latest new products from Tour Edge? These handy thumbnails will keep you up to date on the company's new releases across all club and ball catetgories.

/content/dam/images/golfdigest/fullset/2024/2/E524-Fairway-Top.png

Tour Edge Hot Launch 524 woods: The Tour Edge Hot Launch 524 series of metalwoods once again brings together the company’s highest levels of technology, borrowed from the top innovations in its Exotics lineup, to a more budget-conscious consumer with drivers, fariway woods and hybrids that in some cases are half the going rate of many popular models. The 524 lineup includes two families, the E524 with a focus on extreme game improvement and the C524 with more traditional, compact shaping for more skilled golfers. Throughout there’s an emphasis on more ball speed across a broader section of the face. That comes from both a variable thickness face design made of dozens of diamond-shaped indentations and a central ridge the length of the crown designed to add structural stability at impact. The E524 fairway wood retails at $180, available in 16, 20, 23, 25 and 27 degrees. The C524 fairway wood retails at $180, available in 15, 17, 19 and 22 degrees.

/content/dam/images/golfdigest/fullset/2020/08/Tour Edge C524 Irons.png

Tour Edge Hot Launch 524 irons: Tour Edge’s Hot Launch C524 irons and wedges are designed for golfers who prefer a more classic cavity-back design. The E524 irons and wedges provide plenty of help by focusing on ease of getting the ball up in the air or, in the case of the wedges, out of the sand. The Hot Launch C524 irons and wedges cost $80 per club while the E523 irons and wedges go for $100 per club.
